With a hat tip to Brooke:

Every American's blood should be boiling over what this mosque represents.

  1. Always On Watch,

I sincerely hope we do have the insight and the determination to stop them from building it.

  2. America has lost its history--

Islam-counts it as victory to build on Chritian/Jewish 'conquered' land---

    another historical point--
Jefferson- sent the Marines - against Muslim pirates (halls of Montezuma-shores of Tripoli) ---
Madison finished the job-not more tribute!!!...

  4. Thanks for the h/t!

Pat Condell has put it succinctly and made an argument that is without contestation. Sadly, we have to hear it from a Brit instead of an AMERICAN.

Still, I'm glad someone said it, and Condell says it well.

  5. Damien,
Last I heard, the mosque is a go. **sigh**

  6. Always On Watch,

I ready knew that, but that doesn't mean we have to like it, or that we can't protest the building of the mosque at ground zero.

  7. RRA,

In case you'll be en route tomorrow, thank you for representing. But be careful. Don't trust strangers and always look both ways before you cross up the avenues and down the streets:)

I'll be thinking of yous on Sunday. Wish I could be there! Thank you for going!

  8. "Is it possible to be astonished, and yet not surprised?"

Yes, regrettably, I have learned that it certainly is.

  9. Thanks AR -- I used to live in New York so I know all about not trusting the strangers there. Actually, we were all pretty strange back then.

  10. Do to New York like some are doing to Arizona...pull all Conventions, Pension Funds and Fund Raising non Profits from the Big Apple until the City Officials wake up to the gross indignity of the Cordoba Initiative.
God Bless the Righteous, smite the Murderers of the Innocent.

  11. Well. not being familiar with yiddish I had to look up schtick.

So, the answer is NO it aint my schtick, I am sincere when I say Zip IS an irrational asshole.

  12. Okay. Carry on then.

Personally, I think anyone who's fighting the fight, though I may not always agree with them, is a fellow traveller.

I once came across a comment of yours where you called everyone here at IBA crazy, ... so I just figured it was schtick. My wrong.

Okay, must take my senile mother to Catholic mass. Oy vey. How it pains me, all that suffering and sadomasochism. But at least the Catholics let you get it over with on Saturday night:) When I was small and had to march to her orders, --hey wait a minute, I'm still marching to her orders?--, I so hated getting up on Sunday morning to go to mass. And back in those days we had to wear veils! Now I can go in shorts and flip flops, at least:) And how interesting it is, after all my years of fighting her beliefs, ... that the Muslims have actually brought me back to see what an incredible guy Jesus was! My mother would say it's a miracle! Rose is back to loving Jesus! It's a miracle! :)

  13. Ray is British and a hardcore Anglophile. He hates it when WZ makes fun of Brits, and he gets angry at us for doing so as well.

I've come to understand that. It's fine. I guess I'd get mad if I was on his side of the issues.

He is on our side in the fight against Islam, however, and that's all that really counts.

  14. I'm off to get in some zzzzzzz's so I can head out early tomorrow for NYC. (We have a tornado watch up in Massachusetts -- last big one we had was in I think it was 1956 -- so I may arrive on a farmhouse roof, but whatever.) My sign says "THIS WAR IS NOT OVER" or "SO, CAN WE REBUILD THE TWIN TOWERS IN MECCA?" (thanks, Bosch), depending on which side you're seeing.

  15. I'm so glad you are going, RRA.

Can't wait to hear what you have to say about it.

  16. Thanks Pasto for hitting the nail on the head. I particularly hate us all in the UK being called dhimmies as if we are all in agreement with some idiot getting tabloid headlines for being a dhimmie.

What you all need to know is that our tabloids are doing us a service by bringing lesser known incidents to the attention of the greater public - hence the non muslim population are aware and angry about such things.

Perhaps the US media are more dhimmified or PC and less likely to publicise any similar stateside incidents.

Although Yiddish is not part of my culture I do love some of the words used. Schtick - to gain attention, did I get the correct meaning there?

As for calling everyone at IBA crazy I don't remember that but I have to say that they are not anywhere as near crazy as those at WZ . . . . oh, I do realise that some of you may be at WZ under other names . . . . but that's OK, this is a more polite place.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Ray,
I don't know that we're polite here at IBA. **wink**

The WZ site has information I can't easily find elsewhere.

But I do understand your anger with the UK bashing.

Americans can be very egocentric and not see that we're going down the path of dhimmitude willy nilly here in the States. Well, at least our leaders are going down the path. A lot of people are fed up with the bowing and scraping to Islam. But we can't get our leaders to pay attention to the facts.

  19. Ray,
You said: Perhaps the US media are more dhimmified or PC and less likely to publicise any similar stateside incidents.

    Yes, this is true. I can think of only three newspapers in the US which tend, yes merely tend to tell the truth about Islam;

    New York Sun
    Dallas Morning News
    New York Post

  20. The Mosque in Jerusalem built on the ruins of the two great jewish temples, and the only 'national' ones ever built. 'Al Aqsa'.

The Ummyad Mosque in Damascus (the great Church of St John)

    Great Mosque of Cordoba

    Toulon Cathedral

Santa Sophia (Hagia Sophia) in Constantinople

And now, the site of Islam's great raid in 2001.

These are markers of conquest, not community. Markers of imperial aggression of one kind or another.

This mosque is a message to all Muslims. Those who expect that the fighters are fighting in the way of Allah will see they are succeeding. Those who wish for peace will live in the shadow of fear, and in a greater silence.

This mosque is going to cause more trouble than anyone imagines in ways completely unappreciated by the builders, the neighborhood, and its enemies.

If this mosque continues it will be a marker of great division and eventually violence, and will prove that the differences between Islam and the west are larger than the wish for peace.

  21. Epaminondas,

I agree, too bad a lot of Americans don't realize that.

  22. (this is essentially a repost of a comment I left yesterday which somehow vanished into the ether)

I just wanted to say, God Bless you too Pat!

-And to point out the frightful Twilight Zone quality of living in an age where an outspoken atheist living in Canada might feel a need to say such a thing, with utmost warmth and sincerity, to another outspoken atheist, thousands of kilometers away, who I have never even met.

  23. Hey Ray,

To me "schtick" means more of a mock comedy routine. And I do love Yiddish. Some of those words like "schmuck" or "speil" or "bupkis," "mazel tov," meshugeneh," sound exactly like what they mean, to me.

But hey, WZ ain't all anti-Brit. I've read many a story there and comments commending Brits. You guys are the motherland, afterall.

Personally though, I'm thinking Queen Elizabeth will go down in history, until that history is being written by Muslims, as the royal who sold her country down the river Thames.

I too find IBA comments substantially more, what's the word?, "genteel" than those at WZ. Although I can find myself riled up by things written here too. And I'm sure I've written a couple of rilers or two.

So, ultimately, yes, that we all recognize what Islam is, and I quote Pat Condell: A turd wrapped in batter and called a doughnut:) Or something to that effect.

    God save the Queen!

  24. We're Infidels.

We are allowed to express our opinions strongly and freely. Hence, we'll never totally agree with each other.

    No big deal.

  25. Hi Guys.
CNN is holding a voting poll "Should a mosque be build on ground zero"Please vote.I have the impression CNN is very bias reports only 200-300 attended the protest?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Thanks Will! I cast my vote, but I'm sure the Muslim propaganda machine is out in force with their voting, ... but as you say this is CNN.

Very sad day when we even have to protest such an offensive thing.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I can't find any reporting of this protest on either FOX or CNN online?

    This really sucks! WTF???

  28. http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/06/06/new.york.ground.zero.mosque/index.html?iref=allsearch

Okay, just found this one that was posted minutes ago on CNN. Still nothing I can find on FOX???

    ReplyDelete
  29. RRA,

Yes Helen has resigned. She's old news.

Tell us how yesterday went? Was there antipathy toward the protestors? What was it like? As you can tell by my frantic last night posts, very little coverage in mainstream media. I saw NO television footage on either CNN or FOX. Maybe I missed it?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Still no coverage on Fox News on the ground zero protests??? Run a search on their site, nothing. Had their broadcast on here and there today, nothing. Could have missed it??? Watching O'Reilly now thinking he'd mention it, but it's not on his menu? Will hang for Hannity, ... but this is looking like a real snub. Why? CNN covered it? This Arab shareholder is really controlling Pisslamic news coverage on FOX now? Also, man, was it me, or were the Jeopardy questions heavily Pisslamic today?

    ReplyDelete
  31. American Rose,
Looks to me as if there's a blackout on news coverage of the protest. Ugh.
