Posts for Nov 7th: Lybian newspaper suspended, Al-Awlaki's influence, Spying AQ, Commemorating intifada, French "youths" attack Catholic Mass, Professor denies Holocaust, British Abu Hamza, Terrorist arrested, Kosovo's headscarf ban, "Education" for Islamic apostates, Mosque bombings, silence of Muslim leaders
- Lybia: Pro-reform newspaper suspended. The Libyan government has suspended printing of a newspaper controlled by a reformist son of leader Muammar Gaddafi, local media reported, in what could be the latest phase in a power struggle inside the oil exporting state. The newspaper had accused the Govt of not tackling corruption.
- UK: Al-Awlaki sermons influenced Muslim woman to stab British MP. Roshanara Choudhry, a 21-year-old student who has been jailed for life for trying to assassinate British MP Stephen Timms in May this year, told police she had wanted to die as a martyr after watching more than 100 hours of video sermons from the American-born extremist cleric Anwar al-Awlaki on the internet.
- Terror: Spy agencies have infiltrated AQ. The case of Rahman (an ex-GITMO who spied the Taliban and who was killed after they discovered it), which Shah (the Taliban spokeman) recounted to The Associated Press, falls in line with a key aspect of the fight against terror — Western intelligence agencies, with help from Islamic allies, are placing moles and informants inside al-Qaida and the Taliban. The program seems to be bearing fruit, even as many infiltrators like Rahman are discovered and killed.
- UK: Venezuelan embassy to commemorate intifada: The intifada was “at the forefront of the world struggle against white supremacist neo-colonialism and settler-colonialism,” according to the embassy.
- France: "youths" throw stones and pine cones at Catholics during All Souls' mass: 150 people attending the memorial service for the dead late Tuesday afternoon in a church in a sensitive area of Carcassonne, were victims of two teenagers (between 13 and 14 years),who, after entering the building, they began throwing stones and pine cones to the faithful. One person was hit. In addition, a statue of the Virgin, targeted by the young snatchers, was damaged.
- US: Vanderbilt radical professor denies Holocaust: Kaukab Siddique, associate professor of English at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, is an Islamic radical who demonizes Jews, mocks Holocaust victims and calls on Muslims to “liberate” Jerusalem.
- UK: Citizenship restored to cleric wanted on terrorism charges on the US: A British government ruling stripping the Egyptian-born Muslim cleric known as Abu Hamza al-Masri of his British citizenship was struck down Friday by a special immigration court. But government officials said the court’s action would not affect the government’s plan to extradite the cleric to the United States, where he is wanted on terrorism charges. Officials in the office of Home Secretary Theresa May said no decision had been made on whether to appeal the immigration court’s ruling to a higher British court.
- Germany: terrorist suspect arrested in Saarland region. The man demanded the release of an imprisoned member of the so-called Sauerland group which attempted to blow up US army bases in Germany in 2007.
- Kosovo: Headscarf ban sparks debate over country's identity: The government decided to forbid the wearing of headscarves in public schools late last year, in accordance with the constitution that declares Kosovo – which unilaterally declared independence from Serbia in 2008 – a secular country. “The scarf in Kosovo is not an element of our identity. It’s a sign of submission of female to male, rather than a sign of choice“, Kosovo’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Vlora Citaku explains.
- "Islam not invasive": "retreat centers" for Christian converts from Islam in Malaysia: A two-hour journey from the capital city of Kuala Lumpur revealed an isolated encampment where some Christian converts say they’ve been taken in order to be forced back to Islam.
- Pakistan: Death toll in mosques' bombing over 70. The mosques belong to Ahmaddiya community. The death toll right now is of 95.
- Salim Mansur: "We have a deadly silence of the Muslim leadership": " we have deathly silence of the Muslim leadership as non-Muslim minorities inside the Arab-Muslim world are routinely abused, their homes and places of worship under daily duress, and their hearts filled with fear of violent death in the hands of Muslim jihadis."

Egyptian Child Preacher: “A Child Must Be Raised on Love of Jihad, Desire to be Martyr for Allah”

Child-preacher Ammar Al-Rahma TV (Egypt) – October 8, 2010: A child must be raised on the love of Jihad, and on the desire to be martyred for the sake of Allah. The tree of Islam is irrigated with blood, not with water.
Embedding the spirit of Jihad within the soul of the child is one of the most important things that educators should deal with, especially in this day and age, when the law of Islam is absent from the Islamic countries, a time when the sun of the glory of Islam has set, a time when sovereignty is in the hands of the tyrants, when the Islamic Caliphate has been abolished, and when the Islamic countries have become a target for all the greedy peopl
Nazareth imam indicted for inciting violence
An imam from a Nazareth mosque, Nazim Mahmoud Salim, was indicted on Sunday in Nazareth District Court for incitement to violence and supporting a terror organization. He was arrested nearly one month ago by the Shin Bet (Israeli Security Agency) and Israel Police. If there's anything this sounds similar to, it's the case of Roshanara Choudhary in the UK: she was influenced by Anwar al-Awlaki, and stabbed MP Stephen Timms. That's why it's important to monitor these Islamofascist hatemongers to see what they're brewing.
Salim was originally arrested after one of the suspects in the November 2009 murder of taxi driver Yafim Weinstein told investigators that the imam's sermons were what incited him to commit the murder.
The indictment stated that Salim gave sermons and circulated leaflets to the worshipers at his mosque that incited them to act against the state. He was accused of calling his worshipers to act violently on several occasions. Additionally, the indictment accused him of establishing a website, "Muslim 48," to spread those opinions and others, including support for global jihad.
Aside from the Shihab a-Din Mosque in Nazareth, Salim also preached at various other mosques, including the al-Asqa Mosque in Jerusalem. Salim had previously called for jihad against Israeli soldiers, the pope, and all targets that cause harm to Islam. The imam was quoted as saying that "Jews are Satan," and "Osama bin Laden is loved by God," according to Army Radio.
The state requested that Salim's remand be extended until the end of the proceedings against him.
Salim's indictment came a few months after the sentencing of northern branch of the Islamic Movement head Sheikh Raed Salah was sentenced to five months in prison for attacking a Jerusalem police officer.
As one whose career has been in the call center (specifically the telecom end) I'll tell you firsthand this is a crock of shit, but you already know that.
And although my job loss was not attributable to India and foreign call centers, I know a number of people whose losses were.
The Blaze:
Obama Calls India Creator, Not Poacher, of US Jobs
MUMBAI, India (AP) — Searching for help half a world away, President Barack Obama on Saturday embraced India as the next jobs-creating giant for hurting Americans, not a cheap-labor rival that outsources opportunity from the United States.
Fresh off a political trouncing at home, Obama was determined to show tangible, economic results on his long Asia trip, and that was apparent from almost the moment he set foot on a steamy afternoon in the world’s largest democracy. By the end of the first of his three days in India, he was promoting $10 billion in trade deals — completed in time for his visit — that the White House says will create about 54,000 jobs at home.
That’s a modest gain compared with the extent of the enduring jobless crisis in the United States. Economists say it would require on the level of 300,000 new jobs a month to put a real dent in an unemployment rate stuck near 10 percent.
Yet to Obama, the bigger picture was the lucrative potential of an unleashed trading relationship between India and the United States. He seemed comfortable and energized away from Washington, days removed from the GOP’s election thumping.
“For America, this is a jobs strategy,” Obama said of his emphasis on trade, although it could stand as a motto for his 10-day trip. He is spending Sunday with young people in Mumbai and then heading onto meetings in New Delhi, the capital, before shifting later in the week ahead to Indonesia and economic talks in South Korea and Japan,
In India for the first time, Obama quickly got a sense of riches and poverty, history and tragedy.
His helicopter ride into this bustling financial center took in some of the country’s slums. His luxury accommodation for the night, the Taj Mahal hotel, was one of the sites of a terrorist rampage in Mumbai that killed 166 people. Obama and his wife, Michelle, paid quiet tribute to the 31 people slain at the hotel, looking over their names inscribed in a memorial before meeting with victims’ families and survivors of the shootings.
“We visit here to send a very clear message that in our determination to give our people a future of security and prosperity, the United States and India stand united,” Obama said from an outdoor plaza, the soaring Gateway of India and the Arabian Sea behind him. “We’ll never forget.”
Indian commentators seized on the president’s failure to mention Pakistan, India’s neighbor and bitter rival. Pakistan was home to the 10 assailants.
The president also celebrated the life of a personal hero, Mohandas K. Gandhi, a father of Indian independence and model of peaceful activism. The Obamas spent time at the home-turned-museum where Gandhi once lived. They signed personal messages into the guest book and pledged to bring their daughters, Sasha and Malia, back one day.
Obama directly addressed the belief in the U.S. that India is robbing Americans of jobs. He acknowledged that many Americans only know trade and global commerce as the source of a job shipped overseas.
“There still exists a caricature of India as a land of call centers and back offices that cost American jobs. That’s a real perception,” Obama said. He noted the real concern in India that American corporate giants, if welcomed, would run mom-and-pop stories out of business and upend Indian culture.
Seeking to dismiss all “old stereotypes,“ Obama said the relationship between the countries is ”creating jobs, growth, and higher living standards in both our countries. And that is the truth.”
In the fallout of the U.S. elections, in which Democrats lost control of the House and Obama’s ability to connect with his country was called into doubt, the president said one lesson learned was the need to set a better tone with business leaders. He was effusive on that front in Mumbai, gathering with top U.S. executives and studying up on their commerce with India.
“Just around this table you’re seeing billions of dollars in orders from U.S. companies, tens of thousands of jobs being supported,” he said. “We’re a potential that has barely been scratched.”
The White House arranged for four American chief executives who are in India for the occasion to brief reporters traveling with the president. They played up the importance of India as a trading partner and praised Obama’s decision to come to the country to underscore that point in person.
Progress will take much more than public understanding. India’s infrastructure remains an impediment to progress. And Obama’s challenged India on the sore spot of shrinking its own barriers to trade and foreign investment. But his larger message was one of the united values and missions of the two largest democracies in the world.
Making that point, Obama even generated some laughter at his own expense, offering a reminder of the troubles at home.
“Our countries are blessed with the most effective form of government the world has ever known: democracy,” he said. “Even if it can be slow at times. Even if it can be messy. Even if, sometimes, the election doesn‘t turn out as you’d like.”
Onkar Kanwar, chairman of India’s largest tire manufacturer, Apollo Tyres, said he appreciated the symbolism of Obama’s coming to India during his first term and choosing to visit Mumbai first.
“Ties are getting closer and closer, which needs to be done. … This demonstrates his commitment to another large democracy where he sees a lot of synergies,” Kanwar said. “He’s done all right.”

Obama Goes To India To Tell Hindus, "Muslims Are Peaceful"
Imagine the nerve.
India used to be nearly twice the size it is now, until the Muslims caused so much trouble that the United Nations decided to partition their country, and create a country that became known as "THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN".
From NDTV:
The phrase jihad has a lot of meanings within Islam and is subject to different interpretations. Islam is one of the world's great religions. More than a billion people who practise Islam, the overwhelming majority view their obligations to their religion as ones that reaffirm peace, fairness, tolerance. All of us recognize that this great religion in the hands of a few extremists has been distorted to violence, which is never justified. One of the challenges we face is how do we isolate those who have these distorted notions of religious war.
Anatomy of The Fed Ex UPS Bomb Plot from Yemen
From a source inside the Beltway we have found reliable before.G
EXCLUSIVE: EXCLUSIVE:
It seems that the UPS/FEDEX attack has historical roots and much more sinister tactics than have been disclosed.
The address names on the UPS and FEDEX package were Pierre l'Ermite and Diego Gelmírez and the street address was that of only one synagogue in Chicago. Whom are they?
Pierre l'Ermite, is AKA Peter the Hermit, 1050-1115, a French monk. In 1095 he instigated the First Crusade. With help from the Byzantine emperor Alexius I he and his irregular band took Jerusalem.
Diego Gelmírez of Santiago de Compostela conceived of a N African invasion route intending to unite the reconquest of Spain (from Muslims) with the Crusades to the Holy Land, forming a single Mediterranean-wide crusading theatre. He was one of the most famous Spanish monk-warriors leading the expulsion of Muslims from Spain.
Why a package on two different carriers? To increase the chance of success in case one was discovered, and, to double the potential effect of a tactic that would likely be closed off after the attack.
There were three layers of detonation.
SIM card Nokia phones were programmed to answer a call and detonate. With both packages sent simultaneously by different carriers, they would arrive in the skies over Chicago on two different planes. Knowing the packages "tracking number" and with online, easy access to arrival times, it would be easy for a caller to keep calling the detonator phone while the two planes flew into Chicago, hoping to down them over the city, causing great destruction below.
They knew approximately when the onboard package-carrying planes would be landing. By simple calculation, the plotters walked that time backward to the final approach time over Chicago and programmed/wired the phones to detonate using the alarm clock feature.
Finally, if both of those methods failed, detonation would occur at the delivery site, a Jewish synagogue, as soon as the printer was plugged in. ( We reported this feature form our Paradign Intel, G )
No way to stop the attack, no exposure to operatives, no hijackers needed, brilliant and efficient tactics, low cost with massive results. The attack would be thought of as an accident until the second plane blew up, allowing operatives to escape.
Obviously we have a highly capable, educated and thinking enemy. The Jihadists are highly aware of their place in history and seek muslim hero status. The current media portrayal of inept amateurs, driven by our government sources is, to say the least, highly underspoken.
We fail to understand the historical context and haven't even developed a data base of historic enemies of Islam that could be cross checked against passenger lists and shippers. How could we not have an overwatch that sounds alarms when anything is sent from Yemen to any synagogue in the US?
Clearly the Jihadist are much more nimble and creative than we are. We continue to be unable to put ourselves into the minds of Jihadists and we remain reactive rather than proactive. This attack could have worked, attack by proxy. We can't keep counting on luck or self-serving allies to save us.

This Man WIll Get Us All Killed

The Hindu:
Obama regrets distortion of Islam to justify violence
U.S. President Barack Obama on Sunday regretted that the “great religion” of Islam has been distorted by a few extremists to justify violence towards innocent people and called for isolating these elements.
Mr. Obama also said that people will have to fundamentally reject the notion that violence is the way to mediate differences among them.
“I think all of us have to fundamentally reject the notion that violence is the way to mediate our differences,” he added.
The US president expressed these views when a Muslim student A. Ansari lobbed a question asking for his views on ‘jihad” during his interaction with students of St Xavier’s college here.
“I think all of us recognise that this great religion (Islam) in the hands of a few extremists has been distorted to justify violence towards innocent people that is never justified,” he said.
“So, one of the challenges the world faces is how to “isolate” those who have these distorted notions of religious war...and reaffirm those who see faces of all sorts whether you are a Hindu or a Muslim or a Christian and a Jew or any other religion that we can all treat each other with respect and mutual dignity,” he added.
Mr. Obama said the phrase ‘Jihad’ has different interpretations. Islam is one of the great religions and majority of its one billion practices believe in peace, justice and tolerance, he added.
The President also said the existence of diverse religious beliefs was a “major challenge” not only in India but also around the world.
He said the youth of the world can make a huge impact in re-affirming that one can be a strong observer of one’s faith without putting somebody else down or visiting violence on somebody else.
Religious tolerance is necessary in a world that is getting smaller and smaller where more and more people of different backgrounds, different races, and different ethnicities are interacting and working and learning from each other, Mr. Obama added.

Lindsey Graham (R-Neocon) Says U.S. Should Consider “Neutering” Iranian Regime With Large Scale Military Attack on Nukes, Navy, Air Force, Revolutionary Guards

What the hell got into Grahamnesty?
HALIFAX — A U.S. lawmaker sent ripples through an international audience Saturday saying his country should be prepared to launch a military attack on Iran that would “neuter” the hard line regime.
Arab Muslims Want Nigeria Dead

From Modern Ghana:
The Arab world desperately wants Nigeria dead or under their firm control. In June 2010, Gadhafi announced in Libya that Nigeria should split into several countries or at least on religious basis of Islam versus Christians or North versus South. If this failed, the Arabs want a Somali or Sudan situation in Nigeria, preferring the Somali scenario if they cannot control Nigeria because as they claim, Nigeria is too large. What they mean by too large is that Nigerian influence in Africa is creating a clog in their efforts at Arabizing all of Africa.
The arrow head of the Arab world's Arabization policy in Africa is Gadhafi who after forcibly annexing the Auzon Strip from Chad, sponsored destabilization in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Mali, Cote d' Ivoire, Niger, etc in pursuance of the Arabization of Africa policy, laced with inordinate imperial personal ambition. In 1998, his strategy got a fillip with the founding of his community of Sahel-Savannah States (CEN – SAD) which he was hoping to use to control the envisaged African Union (AU.) The CEN – SAD, at the moment, ropes in 25 African states from West, East, and Central Africa, and includes Senegal, Cote d'Ivore, Chad, Sudan, Somalia, Comoro Islands etc. Most of these unsuspecting African countries were stable until they joined CEN – SAD.
Nigeria refused to join CEN-SAD so the Arabs used jihadist President Babangida to smuggle Nigeria into the full membership of the Organization of Islamic countries (OIC). Nigeria is not an Islamic country, if anything she is circular by her constitutional provisions but Nigeria remains a member of the OIC even now and becomes active in it when a Northern President is in power.
Politically Correct Genocide In Darfur
Genocide is defined not only as ethnic or religious cleansing, but also as "inflicting on the group conditions of life, calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part..."For years, Hollywood has lectured us about the injustices being committed in Darfur, but what we don't hear is that these atrocities are being committed by Muslims. The Islamic Janjaweed militia, backed by the Arab government, is responsible for the genocide. Many Arab Muslims consider themselves to be superior to all other human beings.
Yet our politically correct leadership refuses to even acknowledge the Arab Muslims committing this genocide. The fact that a majority of the victims are also Muslims - African Muslims - seems to negate, in some minds, cultural or religious culpability.
The genocide continues as the world still refuses to face reality.
The Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague has again publically alleged that the Government of Sudan is engaged in an ongoing genocide against non-Arab tribes of Darfur. The Sudanese authorities prevented the flow of food to the camps for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and disrupted relief operations, said an aide of the chief prosecutor. ... [Islam Shalaby] said the government changed its tactics from directly attacking people with weapons to creating difficult conditions for them to survive in. Shalaby said that what is happening in Darfur are not isolated events but consistent government policy that is well thought out and implemented systematically.Below the fold - the banned film "Jihad On Horseback." Watch it and save it while you can.

I accidentally sat on it, I swear.
New York Daily News:
The Al Qaeda bombmaker thought to be behind the Yemen cargo bombs is so ruthless that he once slipped explosives inside his own brother's body to kill a Saudi prince. His brother managed to get face to face with the prince before a text message triggered the device, but he killed only himself. The August 2009 plot was the latest failed attempt by a Saudi bombmaker so skilled, daring and prolific that success is probably just a matter of time.
Ibrahim Hassan al-Asiri, 28, known by his alias Abu Saleh, also is suspected of sewing explosives into the crotch of the briefs that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, 23, wore onto a Detroit-bound Northwest Airlines jet on Christmas Day 2009....
Like the cargo bombs and the anti-prince device, the underwear bomb sailed past security, and 290 people would have died had Abdulmutallab not bungled the detonation....
Asiri and his younger brother, Abdullah, went to Yemen three years ago to join the increasingly dangerous Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.
Last year, he gave Abdullah a device containing about 3 ounces of PETN powder explosives to conceal inside his rear. The detonator was a chemical fuse that would elude metal detectors.Meanwhile:
Abdullah posed as a penitent militant seeking to surrender in person to Prince Muhammed Bin Naif, the Saudi security minister who tries to reform terrorists....

Obama Submits America to “Human Rights Review” by World’s Most Despicable Regimes - Iran and North Korea Lectures America On Rights Abuses

Weasel Zippers has been posting about this for a few days, today it finally happened and it’s just as bad, if not worse, than you imagined it would be.
(Fox News)- The Obama administration got a new “shellacking” this morning, this one entirely voluntary. In the name of improving America’s image abroad, it sent three top officials from the State Department to Geneva’s U.N. Human Rights Council to be questioned about America’s human rights record by the likes of Cuba, Iran, and North Korea.
This was the first so-called “universal periodic review” of human rights in the U.S. by the Council, which the Obama administration decided to join in 2009.
The move represents a striking departure from prior American foreign policy, which has been to ratify selected human rights treaties after due consideration and submit American policy-makers to recommendations based on well-conceived standards accepted by the United States.
But in the three-hour inquisition which took place this morning, Michael Posner, Assistant Secretary, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor responded with “thanks to very many of the delegations for thoughtful comments and suggestions” shortly after Cuba said the U.S. blockade of Cuba was a “crime of genocide,” Iran “condemned and expressed its deep concern over the situation of human rights” in the United States, and North Korea said it was “concerned by systematic widespread violations committed by the United States at home and abroad.”
According to the Council’s procedure, all U.N. members are given carte blanche to comment and make recommendations to the state in the docket. But since only three hours are allotted per state, the practice has emerged of allowing approximately only the first sixty to speak.
This morning fifty-six countries lined-up for the opportunity to have at the U.S. representatives, many standing in line overnight a day ago in order to be near the top of the list. Making it to the head of the line were Cuba, Venezuela, Russia, Iran, Nicaragua, Bolivia, and North Korea.
Recommendations to improve the U.S. human rights record included Cuba’s advice to end “violations against migrants and mentally ill persons” and “ensure the right to food and health.”
Iran – currently poised to stone an Iranian woman for adultery – told the U.S. “effectively to combat violence against women.”
North Korea – which systematically starves a captive population – told the U.S. “to address inequalities in housing, employment and education” and “prohibit brutality…by law enforcement officials.”
If Al Gore’s Chicago Climate Exchange Suffers Total Failure, Does the MSM Make a Sound?
The CCX was the topic of thousands of MSM articles over the years, but not a single article reported their recent demise.
From PJM:
Global warming-inspired cap and trade has been one of the most stridently debated public policy controversies of the past 15 years. But it is dying a quiet death. In a little reported move, the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) announced on Oct. 21 that it will be ending carbon trading — the only purpose for which it was founded — this year.
Although the trading in carbon emissions credits was voluntary, the CCX was intended to be the hub of the mandatory carbon trading established by a cap-and-trade law, like the Waxman-Markey scheme passed by the House in June 2009.
At its founding in November 2000, it was estimated that the size of CCX’s carbon trading market could reach $500 billion. That estimate ballooned over the years to $10 trillion.
Al Capone tried to use Prohibition to muscle in on a piece of all the action in Chicago. The CCX’s backers wanted to use a new prohibition on carbon emissions to muscle in on a piece of, quite literally, all the action in the world.
The CCX was the brainchild of Northwestern University business professor Richard Sandor, who used $1.1 million in grants from the Chicago-based left-wing Joyce Foundation to launch the CCX. For his efforts, Time named Sandor as one of its Heroes of the Planet in 2002 and one of its Heroes of the Environment in 2007.
The CCX seemed to have a lock on success. Not only was a young Barack Obama a board member of the Joyce Foundation that funded the fledgling CCX, but over the years it attracted such big name climate investors as Goldman Sachs and Al Gore’s Generation Investment Management.
But a funny thing happened on the way to the CCX’s highly anticipated looting of taxpayers and consumers — cap-and-trade imploded following its high water mark of the House passage of the Waxman-Markey bill. With ongoing economic recession, Climategate, and the tea party movement, what once seemed like a certainty became anything but.
CCX’s panicked original investors bailed out this spring, unloading the dog and its across-the-pond cousin, the European Climate Exchange (ECX), for $600 million to the New York Stock Exchange-traded Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) — an electronic futures and derivatives platform based in Atlanta and London. (Luckier than the CCX, the ECX continues to exist thanks to the mandatory carbon caps of the Kyoto Protocol.)
The ECX may soon follow the CCX into oblivion, however — the Kyoto Protocol expires in 2012. No new international treaty is anywhere in sight.
While we don’t know how well Al Gore and Goldman Sachs fared on their investments in the CCX, we do know that there’s no reason to cry for Sandor. He received $98.5 million for his 16.5% stake in CCX when it was sold. Not bad for a failure that somebody else financed.
Incredibly (but not surprisingly), although thousands of news articles have been published about CCX by the lamestream media over the years, a Nexis search conducted a week after CCX’s announcement revealed no news articles published about its demise.

Indonesian President Urged to Help Islam Engage With the West.
With just a few days to go until Barack Obama arrives in Indonesia, a prominent American Islamic scholar has called on President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to show the Western world the true face of Islam.
“The real battleground is between the moderates of all religions against the radicals of all religions,” Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, founder and chief executive of the American Society for Muslim Advancement and leader of the Al-Farah mosque in New York, said at the State Palace in Central Jakarta on Friday.
Feisal said Muslims should be responsible to help change negative attitudes toward Islam by intensifying interfaith dialogue and fighting radicalism.
“I am convinced that with the right behavior, the right ethics, we will change the hearts and minds of people in America toward Islam,” he said.

Why Muslim cultures suck
Bosnian Muslims post tribute video to Nazi ally Hajj Amin al-Husseini, Mufti of Jerusalem
From Jihad Watch:
"During World War II, the Mufti lived in Berlin, where he met Hitler and traveled in top Nazi circles (he even stayed in Hitler's bunker toward the end of the war). Among his close friends was Adolf Eichmann, who is commonly thought to be the architect of the Holocaust. Journalist Maurice Pearlman, author of the 1947 book The Mufti of Jerusalem, said that the Mufti advised Eichmann on the best ways to persecute Jews. Hitler gave the Mufti a radio station, which al-Husseini used to preach Nazism and genocide in Arabic."
The explanation on this video reads: "This video is a small contribution, and small thanks from Bosniaks to the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Amin al-Husayni (Let Allah s.w.t be pleased with him) for his spiritual and military leadership against the enemies of the Bosniaks, the faith of Islam and the Homeland."
And yet the Left and its Islamic supremacist allies would have you believe that the anti-jihadists are the ones dallying with Nazism. Yeah, surrre. The real convergence and harmony of views is between Nazis and Islamic supremacists, as this illustrates yet again.

(CNN) - Keith Olbermann, MSNBC's primetime firebrand host, has been suspended indefinitely for violating the ethics policies of his employer earlier this year when he donated to three Democrats seeking federal office, MSNBC announced Friday.
"I became aware of Keith's political contributions late last night. Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay," MSNBC President Phil Griffin said in a statement.
First reported by Politico and confirmed by Federal Election Commission filings, the primetime television host gave $2,400 – the maximum individual amount allowed – to each of the campaigns of Kentucky Senate candidate Jack Conway, and Arizona Reps. Raul Grijalva and Gabrielle Giffords. (View PDF's of FEC filings for Conway, Grijalva, and Giffords)
Conway lost his bid to Republican Rand Paul while Grijalva eked out a win over Tea Party-backed candidate Ruth McClung for a fifth term. Grijalva found himself in an increasingly competitive race after he announced his support of a boycott of Arizona businesses in response to the state's controversial new immigration law and often appeared on Olbermann's show where he found a sympathetic audience. CNN, meanwhile, has yet to declare a winner in Giffords' race, but the Democrat currently holds about a 3,000-vote lead with all precincts reporting.
The contributions may have violated an NBC policy that requires employers of the news organization to obtain permission ahead of any political donations or activities that could be deemed as a conflict of interest. CNN institutes a similar policy.
In a statement to Politico before the suspension was announced, Olbermann defended the contributions:
"One week ago, on the night of Thursday October 28 2010, after a discussion with a friend about the state of politics in Arizona, I donated $2,400 each to the re-election campaigns of Democratic Representatives Raul Grijalva and Gabrielle Giffords," he said in the statement. "I also donated the same amount to the campaign of Democratic Senatorial candidate Jack Conway in Kentucky."
Olbermann, as well as MSNBC executives, was a vocal critic of the $1 million donation by Fox News' parent News Corp. to the Republican Governor's Association earlier this year, saying at the time, "We now have another million reasons Fox News is the Republican news channel."
In a subsequent show, Olbermann also pressed House Majority Whip James Clyburn if there was a "legislative response" to a networks that "starts to shill for partisan causes."
A News Corp. spokesman defended the donation when it was first reported in August.
"News Corporation believes in the power of free markets, and the RGA's pro-business agenda supports our priorities at this most critical time for our economy," the spokesman said.

CHRISLAM SPREADS THROUGHOUT AMERICA
From Paul Williams at The Last Crusade:
QURAN IN THE PEWS
JESUS IN THE QURAN
By
Paul L. Williams, Ph.D.
This weekend, the Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Houston along with Christian communities in Atlanta, Seattle, and Detroit will initiate a series of sermons that have been designed to produce an ecumenical reconciliation between Christianity and Islam. In addition to the sermons, the Sunday school lessons will center on the inspired teachings of the Prophet Mohammad.
Qurans will be placed in the pews next to the Bibles.
The concept of Chrislam, now embraced by such preachers as Rick Warren and Robert Schuller, appears to have emerged from a program on the meaning of “love your neighbor” at Grace Fellowship Church in Atlanta, Georgia
“In 2001, like most Americans, we were pretty awakened to the true Islamic presence in the world and in the United States,” says Jon Stallsmith, the outreach minister at Grace Fellowship. “Jesus says we should love our neighbors. We can’t do that without having a relationship with them.”
Stallsmith maintains that a rapprochement between Muslims and Christians can be achieved by the fact that Jesus is mentioned twenty-five times in the Quran.
The Chrislam movement has gained impetus by statements from President George W. Bush and that Christians, Jews, and Muslims all worship the same God and by Rick Warren’s reference to Isa (the Muslim name for Jesus) in his prayer at the inauguration of President Barack Obama.
Only 30 percent of Americans have a favorable view of Muslims, according to a Pew Forum poll. At the same time, more than half the country says they know “not very much” or “nothing at all” about the Islamic faith.
“The recent political developments and the fact that we’re fighting two wars in Muslim countries should sharpen that need to know how to talk to these guys,” Stallsmith insists “We want to find peace, reconciliation around a scriptural understanding of Jesus.”
Jesus in the Quran is neither the only-begotten Son of God nor the Messiah who was divinely appointed to restore the House of David. He is rather viewed as a prophet who was appointed by Allah to prepare mankind for the coming of Mohammad.
In the Quran, Jesus neither suffers nor dies on the cross but is rather raised alive into heaven:
“That they said (in boast), “We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of God”;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:- Nay, God raised him up unto the himself; and God is Exalted in Power, Wise” (4: 157-158)
The victim at Calvary, Islam teaches, was either Simon of Cyrene or Judas Iscariot.
The Quran mentions that Jesus was born of the virgin Maryam – - not by an immaculate conception but rather the will of Allah and that He performed miracles to show the Jewish people that He was a maseh in the manner of Moses and Ibrahim (Abraham):
“In blasphemy indeed are those that say that God is Christ the son of Mary. Say: “Who then hath the least power against God, if His will were to destroy Christ the son of Mary, his mother, and all every – one that is on the earth? For to God belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between. He createth what He pleaseth. For God hath power over all things” (5:17).
Belief in the divinity of Jesus is condemned in Islam as shirk (filth).
Obama Doesn't Get It About The Meaning Of November 2
I've seen a preview of the interview. Obama's pretended humility cannot cover up his blatant narcissism.
But, of course, CBS's Early Show this morning is heavily promoting the upcoming edition of 60 Minutes.
Kathleen Parker's recent essay in the Washington Post explains how pathetic Obama's analysis of Tuesday's election results is:
Blindsided by their own blindnessRead Ms. Parker's entire essay HERE. Worth your time.
Two words: Narrative, schmarrative.
Democrats have talked endlessly about the importance of narrative - missing in President Obama's case. We've heard over and over about the lack of smart messaging and the president's failure to communicate. If only Obama could better express himself, all would be well.
Seriously? This is the same president whose soaring rhetoric once sent his ratings into the heavenly realm and who, after assuming office, never stopped expressing himself.
For months, he was everywhere. Talking, talking, talking. Admit it. How many times did you flip on the tube and say, "Omigod, he's talking again"? Several Teleprompters had to take early retirement from sheer exhaustion.
Here's a narrative: You can't sell people what they don't want, no matter how mellifluous your pitch. This is the clear message of the midterm elections...
[...]
Obama didn't need to be a better communicator. He needed to be a better listener. End of story.
I'll watch Sunday's edition of 60 Minutes. Provided that I'm fortified with eggnog and brandy, that is.

Speechless Speech
"I'm not a bigot. You know the kind of books I've written about the Civil Rights movement in this country," Williams said on the show. "But when I get on a plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous."So said Juan Williams, news analyst for National Public Radio (NPR), to Bill O’Reilly on Fox News. The remark got him promptly fired from NPR, and subsequently hired fulltime by Fox News. What was NPR’s reasoning?
"His remarks on The O'Reilly Factor this past Monday were inconsistent with our editorial standards and practices, and undermined his credibility as a news analyst with NPR," the statement read. And what editorial standards and practices might those be? No one really knows, but it is easy to guess, to judge by the wholly left-liberal-progressive bias and content of all its news programming. From NPR’s perspective, Williams not only shot from the hip, but shot himself in the foot. Williams expressed a private concern shared by multitudes of Americans, including very likely many denizens of NPR, when they see Muslims in their tribal garb anywhere, and not just in airports. But those other NPR employees will not be punished, because they have kept their mouths shut.
Using Williams’s pseudo-gaffe as an example, Gary Wickert, an insurance trial lawyer in Wisconsin and author or editor of several books on insurance, wrote an interesting article on Pajamas Media on the corrosive effects of political correctness, “Political Correctness and the Thought Police” (November 1st). He begins by stating that political correctness is hard to define.
It’s hard to define political correctness, but like pornography, you know it when you see it. Some say it is a social philosophy that strives to ensure nobody will ever be offended by anything, ever. Wikipedia defines it as a term which “denotes language, ideas, policies, and behavior seen as seeking to minimize social and institutional offense in occupational, gender, racial, cultural, sexual orientation, disability, and age-related contexts.” Merriam-Webster defines it as “conforming to a belief that language and practices which could offend political sensibilities — as in matters of sex or race — should be eliminated.”Two minor errors in the piece should be corrected: Mr. Wickert says that “niggardly” (a supposedly offensive term discussed in the article) means “spendthrift.” Actually, it means not quite the opposite: “ungenerous,” or “cheap,” or “penny-wise.” Then, he invented a new term, “cow-tow,” when he meant “kowtow.”
However, his article delves handily but inconsistently into the causes and consequences of political correctness in speech, action and policy.
I penned a review of Guidelines for Bias-Free Writing, published by The Task Force on Bias-Free Language, in 1996 for The Social Critic, “The Ghouls of Grammatical Egalitarianism.”
Thought orthodoxy is not synonymous with thought control. There is no Federal Board of Language Usage to which publishers must submit their books and journals to be tested for discriminatory or disparaging language before they can be put on the market for sale to the public. However, while no official agency of control exists, there is a kind of interlocking directorate of semi-public institutions and organizations which accomplishes the same purpose by presenting a united front against freedom of expression and imposing orthodoxy on our culture's intellectual and literary pacesetters. 'Say what you please, we're not censors!....But say it our way, or do not bother to say it.'(See also my entry, “Censorship,” in The Encyclopedia of Library and Information Science.)
Short of overt government repression, I cannot imagine a more insidious form of thought control than this, which is to thrust independent minds of whatever professional suasion or degree of ability into a purgatory that is not quite freedom and not quite slavery.
The Task Force was created by the Association of American University Presses (the AAUP, see its membership here) in response to constant mewlings from other cultural quarters to research and write Guidelines, which has become a kind of Psalter of Bowdleristic Banter for academics and others obsessively sensitive to sensitivity.
Only H.L. Mencken could do better than P.J. O’Rourke, who reviewed this abomination in August 1995:
The pharisaical, malefic, and incogitant Guidelines for Bias-Free Writing is a product of the pointy-headed wowsers at the Association of American University Presses, seven women, two men who established a Task Force on Bias-Free Language filled with cranks, pokenoses, blowhards, four-flushers, and pettifogs. This foolish and contemptible product of years wasted in mining the shafts of indignation has been published by the cow-besieged, basketball-sotted sleep-away camp for hick bourgeois offspring, Indiana University, under the aegis of its University Press, a traditional dumping ground for academic deadwood so bereft of talent, intelligence, and endeavor as to be useless even in the full precincts of Midwestern state college classrooms.Politically correct speech and writing are not necessarily traceable, as Wickert alleges, to the Frankfurt School and Marxism, although the two are closely allied ideologically. I doubt that even David Axelrod, Cass Sunstein, or Anita Dunn would claim that politically correct speech is Communist in origin, though they would have no problem enforcing it. Politically correct speech in America, as a phenomenon, is a direct result of legislated envy.
Politically correct speech is the political bowdlerizing of thought and expression of thought. It requires ceaseless “conditioning” by government- and academically-approved wardens. As Thomas Bowdler sought to expunge “indecencies” from language by simply removing them from literary works (such as Shakespeare’s plays), politically correct speech seeks to expunge objectionable terms from the mind. The “authorities” plant un bacio Della morte on unwelcome terms, as surely as Michael Corleone condemned his brother Fredo in Godfather II.
However, while a mind cannot be forced, it can be corrupted. That is the sole purpose of politically correct speech. A corrupted mind will accede to anything. It is ready to be moulded and given its marching orders.
Political correctness is an insidious, poliomyelitic epistemological affliction that attacks, not the brainstem or spinal cord, but language, concepts, and ideas in one’s mind to render the mind an impotent and helpless plaything of authorities or the thought police. In short, it attacks the mind, and, like Orwell’s Newspeak Dictionary in Nineteen Eighty-Four, seeks to reduce the range of the mind by homogenizing and cleansing its contents and imposing a literal mindless conformity.
The catch is that, while imbeciles would not know the difference between plain, politically correct, and “incorrect” speech – they are not the objects of the tyranny, it is only active minds that are the object of controls – it works only if one is willing to submit, Muslim-style, to a higher “authority,” only if one knows that one is expected to knuckle under and bow to the god of sensitivity.
Compliance with politically correct speech, however, is voluntary. It is a conscious action requiring knowledge of what one is submitting to and for what reason, and knowledge of what one is abandoning. This in turn contributes to a deadening miasma of habitual, congenital conformity in politics, art, speech, and other realms of endeavor, even in soccer moms who applaud scoreless, “non-competitive” games – designed to protect the feelings of the losers and bolster their “self-esteem” – which in turn contributes to the growth of a servile, passive, complacent citizenry.
And a dishonest one, as well, for while “incorrect” terms may be suppressed, the banished terms form a black market of expression. They do not disappear. Genuinely offensive terms, which would not be employed by a civil person in any circumstance, such as wetback, Polack, wop, or kike take on even more vicious meanings, as well as prejudice-free terms such as black, idiot, moron, and imbecile. (Note: Black basically means either a color or an absence of color; the latter three terms were formerly clinical terms used to measure thinking or reasoning capacity, and are now “disused.” I have no idea what terms have replaced them, except the popular, universally applicable and now humorously denigrating challenged.)
In the written realm, political correctness results in staleness of writing, in thinking, in literature. It is not a power exercised with the arrogance of breaking down one’s front door. It sneaks in through the back door and insinuates itself in one’s daily life.
It is only government force that can fuel and sustain political correctness by imposing penalties on incorrectness. The trials of Geert Wilders in the Netherlands, of Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolfe in Austria, and of columnist Mark Steyn in Canada are proof of that power, a power handed government by its allies in academia. Political correctness is a trickle-down phenomenon with dual ends: the punishment and fettering of independent minds; and fostering the increase in truncated minds, which are more easily managed, manipulated, and led. It is a communicable polio that corrupts an increasing number of fields, from the military to politics to education and art. It is an enfeebling disease, promoted and imposed by government.
Political correctness, especially in speech, vitiates a person’s epistemology, with the consequence of creating a universal state of desideratum, or the nagging sense that the identifying terms of some things have been deliberately banished or eradicated. One’s only option is to conform to an arbitrarily enforced norm. For an individual who knows the terms, it puts him on a cautious self-defense regime that is more destructive repression than it is studied discretion.
It is noteworthy that it is specially protected or patronized groups that are the beneficiaries of politically correct speech. They are viewed in the same way that certain animals and plants have been designated “endangered species.” They beg protection from indiscriminate speech or “wounding words” and real and imagined insults. The disabled, the aged, the mentally incapable, and so on are allied in a unique menagerie of untouchables and the socially coddled, and safe-housed in the same iron-clad fortress of exclusivity with the spotted owl and the delta smelt and, more recently, Muslims.
To echo Juan Williams, whenever I encounter politically correct speech and action, I get worried and nervous. It means that I am dealing with dishonesty, with corruption, with a consciously shrunken mind that demands that I speak and write on its terms.
But then, as a free man, I simply laugh and say what I wish.

Jeanne Ruby bit, slapped and scratched Middle Eastern woman who was wearing face-covering Muslim veil
A Paris court today gave a retired French teacher a one-month suspended sentence for attacking a Middle Eastern woman who was wearing a face-covering Muslim veil. The court also ordered Jeanne Ruby to pay €800 (£698) in damages to the victim, a citizen of the United Arab Emirates. Ruby had been charged with aggravated violence, and the prosecutor had asked that she be given a two-month suspended sentence. The incident – in which Ruby bit, slapped and scratched her victim – happened in a shop in the French capital in February. In a recent interview with Le Parisien newspaper, Ruby compared the niqab to a "muzzle" and said she did not mean to harm the woman and had wanted to pull the veil off.
ACLU Suing NJ Transit For Firing Employee Who Burned Koran on 9/11 Anniversary
TRENTON — On the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks, Derek Fenton stole headlines by burning pages from the Koran in Lower Manhattan to protest a planned Islamic community center there. Two days later, he lost his job at New Jersey Transit for breaching the agency’s code of ethics.
Now the American Civil Liberties Union says Fenton should get his job back. The group will file a lawsuit Friday in U.S. District Court saying Fenton was unconstitutionally fired for exercising his free speech rights.

U.S. dollar printing is huge risk -China c.bank adviser
BEIJING, Nov 4 (Reuters) - Unbridled printing of dollars is the biggest risk to the global economy, an adviser to the Chinese central bank said in comments published on Thursday, a day after the Federal Reserve unveiled a new round of monetary easing.
China must set up a firewall via currency policy and capital controls to cushion itself from external shocks, Xia Bin said in a commentary piece in the Financial News, a Chinese-language newspaper managed by the central bank.
"As long as the world exercises no restraint in issuing global currencies such as the dollar -- and this is not easy -- then the occurrence of another crisis is inevitable, as quite a few wise Westerners lament," he said.
Germany Concerned About US Stimulus Moves
GERMANY, US, STIMULUS, FEDERAL RESERVEReuters| 04 Nov 2010 | 09:03 AM ETGerman Economy Minister Rainer Bruederle said on Thursday he was concerned at U.S. efforts to stimulate growth by injecting liquidity into its struggling economy.
"I view that not without concern," Bruederle said, adding that a variety of measures were needed to solve the problem and it was not enough to pump in liquidity alone.
"We hope the U.S. economy gets back up stronger on its feet," he said.
Bruederle also said there was some truth to the criticism that the United States was influencing the dollar's exchange rate with monetary policy and voiced concern about increased protectionism in different forms around the world.
In First Press Conference Brazil's New President Says Currency War Can Lead to Real War
Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and the president elect, Dilma Rousseff, held a joint press conference. What follows is a summary of what Rousseff, said to reporters on a variety of subjects:
Economy - Dilma said that everybody except the United States and China can see that there is a currency war underway that cannot be resolved by any one country by itself. She added: "Individual solutions leave countries unprotected and when you start competitive currency devaluation you get what you got [60 years ago]: the Second World War."
