Tom Brevoort says killing terrorists makes you one as well

Just when you thought Brevoort couldn't stoop deep enough into the abyss, he does again. It began with some posts where he claims Batman killing the Joker would be wrong, even if it's to save an innocent life (strange, wasn't Daredevil shown killing a handful of villains in self-defense, possibly in Frank Miller's stories?), and veers close to acting like Batman is a real person. Now, he's gone overboard again with another stupefying argument against killing murderous offenders that basically says you're also a terrorist if you terminate them. He begins with:
I think this has as much if not more to so sub-textually with the audience wanting to feel good about itself.
I think Brevoort likes to feel good about himself. No wonder he's part and parcel of the crew backing the erasure of the Spider-marriage, and the awful treatment of Mary Jane Watson. And that's just one example of many embarrassments he's been involved with for over a decade.
it started a little bit in the 80s, but especially ever since 9/11, there’s been an underlying narrative throughout popular fiction that amounts to, “In order to fight terrorists, the only thing that can be done is to become a terrorist yourself.” And that seems to me to be a product of a society that knows that things like the abuses at Guantanamo Bay are wrong, but doesn’t actually want to change the behavior or demand accountability. In a world where even Superman can’t find a way other than to become a terrorist, it’s more all right for ordinary people to feel the same way.
What a groaner. All he's doing is blurring the differences between terrorists and counter-terror specialists, for example. You could easily argue he's insulting liberals along with conservatives too. How does he know the entire public agrees with his view of anything going on at Guantanamo, if it really did take place?

And what narrative has there really been in popular fiction that he claims? Not in the fictional stories he's been in charge of, that's for sure, and certainly not since 9-11. They took good care to ensure the narrative would be one of defeatism, and a dearth of creativity. That's why the Marvel Knights take on Captain America was truly awful.
I think grappling with hard moral choices, and the question of where heroism stops, at what point you become a villain, is definitely interesting–it’s certainly been the backbone of the storyline in AVENGERS and NEW AVENGERS for months. But I don’t think the example that was given fulfills that quandary. That isn’t a hard choice at all, not for a super hero–if it is, then they’re a piss-poor super hero, and will be dead on in prison soon anyway. No, it’s a false choice that we want to see go the other way because we’ve become societally convinced that doing so makes somebody a “badass” and worthy of emulation. And because, on a visceral level, we want to see the bad guy get theirs. But that isn’t justice, that’s vengeance.
Says who it's not justice? Only a lazy bum like Brevoort. He's long stopped being relevant. Besides, didn't they once try to make various superheroes into "badasses" over past decades? Wolverine's one of those too. But then, that could explain why they got rid of Logan in their recent publicity stunts, replete with a few tie-in specials to milk more money off of the gullible.

I have no doubt there's plenty of terrible messages to be found in the recent Avengers storylines. It's not all that new though. Marvel's surrendered the Earth's Mightiest Heroes to the worst of writers since 2002.

Thank goodness we didn't have anti-warrists like Brevoort around during WW1 and WW2. But tragically, we do have men like him around today, and they do not help one bit.

War Heating Up? Iranian ship convoy moves toward Yemen, alarming US officials

Iranian ship convoy moves toward Yemen, alarming US officials
U.S. military officials are concerned that Iran’s support for Houthi rebels in Yemen could spark a confrontation with Saudi Arabia and plunge the region into sectarian war.
Iran is sending an armada of seven to nine ships — some with weapons — toward Yemen in a potential attempt to resupply the Shia Houthi rebels, according to two U.S. defense officials.
Officials fear the move could lead to a showdown with the U.S. or other members of a Saudi-led coalition, which is enforcing a naval blockade of Yemen and is conducting its fourth week of airstrikes against the Houthis.
Iran sent a destroyer and another vessel to waters near Yemen last week but said it was part of a routine counter-piracy mission.
What’s unusual about the new deployment, which set out this week, is that the Iranians are not trying to conceal it, officials said. Instead, they appear to be trying to “communicate it” to the U.S. and its allies in the Gulf.

Wal-Mart Closes Five Stores, and Lays Off Over 2000 Employees Citing "Plumbing Problems" ... These "Plumbing Problems" Only Happened In Cities Where Strikers Their Childish Bullshit Demands

From Business Insider:
Wal-Mart suddenly closed five stores in four states on Monday for alleged plumbing problems. The closures could last up to six months and affect roughly 2,200 workers in Texas, California, Oklahoma, and Florida, CNN Money reports.
Wal-Mart employees say they were completely blindsided by the news, having been notified only a couple hours before the stores closed at 7 p.m. Monday.
"Everybody just panicked and started crying," Venanzi Luna, a manager at a store in Pico Rivera, California, told CNN Money.
All workers will receive paid leave for two months. After that, full-time workers could become eligible for severance, according to CNN Money. But part-time workers will be on their own.
Local officials and employees have questioned Wal-Mart's reasoning for the closures. According to ABC News, "no plumbing permits have been pulled in any of the five cities where the stores were suddenly closed for at least six months."
The cities where locations were closed include: Brandon, Florida; Pico Rivera, California; Livingston, Texas; Midland, Texas; and Tulsa, Oklahoma.
A city official in Pico Rivera confirmed to CBS Los Angeles that the city has not received any permit requests for building repairs. In Midland, Texas, where another store was closed, a city official told ABC News that his plumbing inspector was turned away when he visited the store and offered to help secure construction permits.
Wal-Mart plumbing technician Codi Bauer, who worked at the now shuttered store in Brandon, Florida, questioned the company's time frame for the repairs.
"Even if they had to replace the whole sewer line, it wouldn't take six months to replace a whole sewer line in that store," he told WFLA.
Some employees believe that the stores were closed because of worker protests for higher pay.
Employees of the Pico Rivera store were among the first to hold Black Friday protests in 2012. "This is the first store that went on strike," an employee told CBS Los Angeles.
"This is the first store in demanding changes for Walmart."
It's pretty obvious the plumbing problems are all the backed-up horseshit from the Leftists and Union Thugs who want to destroy Wal-Mart and the Capitalist system as we know them.

Fuck you, Leftards.

Just in case you don't remember, among the other Communist organizers of those outright attacks on Wal-Mart and the Capitalist system in general, were OCCUPY WALL STREET:
Date: Friday, November 23, 2012 - 12:00pm
Address: A Walmart in North Jersey - TBA , NJ
Boycott Walmart - Support Workers Fighting for Fair Waging and Fair Treatment In the wake of a series of unprecedented Walmart retail and warehouse strikes, Walmart workers, labor allies and community supporters have put Walmart on notice for Black Friday: End retaliation and attempts to silence workers or face nationwide strikes and direct action.
On Black Friday—the busiest shopping day of the year—Occupy Wall Street, 99 Pickets, ALIGN, Rev. Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping, Retail Action Project, and allies will occupy a Walmart store in North Jersey in solidarity with these courageous workers.
Join us as we clog the checkout lines, take over the store with shopping carts, sing songs, picket the store, and disrupt Walmart's business.
I'm sure there are some readers who would think it's unreasonable of me to call these Organizers Communists, and to make the claim that there picketing is done for the purpose of destroying Capitalism.

Note the above quote in red, FROM THE OCCUPY WALL STREET SITE: "The Church of Stop Shopping."

Stop Shopping?

Why would someone go picket for a raise in minimum wage and, at the same time, ask people to stop shopping altogether?

You see, if the minimum wage is to increase, you'd think they'd want revenues for the stores to at least remain the same, so that, in theory, Wal-Mart could afford to pay these new wages.

But that is not their main concern.

Their main concern is, AS I SAID, to destroy the Capitalist system. They see Wal-Mart as exemplifying "the evils of Capitalism", so they attack Wal-Mart first.

Obama's Mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, Boasts About Lying To The FBI To Hurt Blacks Who Supported the American Constitution

INTERVIEWER 1: You had some few later dealings with the FBI throughout your life, yeah?
FRANK MARSHALL DAVIS: Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I’ve had the FBI, but I, I often had the FBI contacting me in, at the Associated Negro Press. They were going, they wanted to find out whether such and such a person who had applied for a job in Washington was a, a good risk. So I had determined that if this brother who applied for this job in Washington was an Uncle Tom, then I would tell the FBI that this person was no, was a risk, and he was no good. And so I, I used to work this in the reverse, and if a person had, was officially a militant, I would praise them the highest. I would say he is completely in favor of the Constitution of the, he supports the entire Constitution and so forth, so it would have just the, I hoped it would have just the opposite effect on the FBI.
INTERVIEWER 1: OK we’ll, we’ll stop right there on this one. Maybe it’ll be a good note to call it off.
The interviewer was probably hoping this footage would never see the light of day.

Muslim Leaders Say Pope's Labeling of Murder of Armenian Christians as a "Genocide" Will Cause Them To Turn Hagia Sophia Into a Mosque

See how one thing follows from another?

Well, that's because you don't use Satan's logic, as Islam does.

Pope Francis’ labeling of the mass killings of the Ottoman Armenians as “the first genocide of the 20th century” will only accelerate the reopening of Hagia Sophia to Muslim worship, the top Islamic official in Ankara has suggested.
“Frankly, I believe that the pope’s remarks will only accelerate the process for Hagia Sophia to be re-opened for [Muslim] worship,” Professor Mefail H?zl?, the mufti of Ankara, said in a written statement released late April 15.
According to H?zl?, the pope’s statement “has reflected a modern color of the crusader wars launched in these lands for centuries.” These lands have long been the “standard bearer” of the Muslim world, meaning many enemies, both from inside and outside of the country, have been launching attacks with different methods.

Meeting with Pres Hussein Obama; one rabbi described it as 'one of the tensest meetings I can ever remember'

From Will at THE OTHER NEWS:

Meeting with Pres Hussein Obama; one rabbi described it as 'one of the tensest meetings I can ever remember' (TM). HT: CarlInJerusalem.

“It was one of the tensest meetings I can ever remember,” said one participant who has been invited to many White House sit-downs over the years and requested anonymity.

“The president spoke for 25 minutes, without notes,” he told me. “It was very impressive.

Some people said very nice things, others expressed concerns, and talked about the role of Congressand he talked about presidential prerogative, and cited other precedents for it.

Lots of people challenged him very strongly, like about taking the threats of dictators seriously when Khamenei says death to America, death to Israel, death to the Jews. The president said he knows what the regime is, which is why he is trying to take away their weapons. He didn’t dismiss what the Iranians say, he just didn’t really address it.” (Silence is approving)

Rabbi Marvin Hier, dean and founder of the Simon Wiesenthal center, who also attended the meeting, was willing to speak on the record to Tablet.

“Speaking for myself,” said Hier, “I was not satisfied.” Hier declined to describe the president’s comments but told me the point he made in the meeting.

“Mr. President,” he said, “in a few weeks, you and others will be going to Germany to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the concentration camps. What meaning does that have when while negotiating over the nuclear treaty with Iran, none of the six powers said a word when the ayatollah Tweeted about annihilating the state of Israel, or a leading general in the IRGC said this is the regime’s raison d’etre?

What meaning does the 70th anniversary have? Hitler said he was going to murder all the Jews in a letter from 1919, and he wound up doing it. If you hear the ayatollah saying that, every world leader should repudiate it immediately.”

What Obama is doing may be even worse than what Roosevelt did 70 years ago.

Roosevelt never lifted a finger to save European Jews, but he did defeat the Nazis. Obama writes letters to the man who threatens to exterminate Jews and promises him peace.

American Jewish leaders have plenty to worry about. The cost to American political life of legitimizing exterminationist anti-Semitism may turn out to be one of the worst parts of a bad deal.

Obama isn't even going to fight Iran, and he is attempting to hogtie his successor into abstaining from a fight as well. Read the whole thing

Man Who Trained With ISIS, And Returned To U.S. To Carry Out Attacks, Arrested In Ohio

From the New York Post:
An Ohio man who left the US a year ago to train with Islamic State jihadists was nabbed by the feds Thursday for allegedly plotting to unleash terror in the country, authorities said.
Abdirahman Sheik Mohamud, 23, of Columbus, left in April 2014 — two months after becoming a naturalized citizen — to train and fight with the extremists in Syria, the Justice Department said, ABC News reported.
Islamic State wannabe Mohamud — who has posted the group’s propaganda online — was charged with providing material support to al Nusrah, an al Qaeda affiliate in Syria, according to the feds.

Renown Physicist Freeman Dyson: Climate Science Is A “Religion”, “Belief Is Strong When Evidence Is Weak”

From Wikipedia:

Dyson agrees that anthropogenic global warming exists, and has written that "[one] of the main causes of warming is the increase of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere resulting from our burning of fossil fuels such as oil and coal and natural gas."[53] However, he believes that existing simulation models of climate fail to account for some important factors, and hence the results will contain too much error to reliably predict future trends:
The models solve the equations of fluid dynamics, and they do a very good job of describing the fluid motions of the atmosphere and the oceans. They do a very poor job of describing the clouds, the dust, the chemistry and the biology of fields and farms and forests. They do not begin to describe the real world we live in ...[53]
He is among signatories of a letter to the UN criticizing the IPCC[54][55] and has also argued against ostracizing scientists whose views depart from the acknowledged mainstream of scientific opinion on climate change, stating that "heretics" have historically been an important force in driving scientific progress. "[H]eretics who question the dogmas are needed ... I am proud to be a heretic. The world always needs heretics to challenge the prevailing orthodoxies."[53]

Italy: 15 Muslim "Refugess" (Invaders) Arrested for Throwing 12 Christians Overboard

From CNN:
Rome (CNN)Muslims who were among migrants trying to get from Libya to Italy in a boat this week threw 12 fellow passengers overboard -- killing them -- because the 12 were Christians, Italian police said Thursday.
Italian authorities have arrested 15 people on suspicion of murdering the Christians at sea, police in Palermo, Sicily, said.
The original group of 105 people left Libya on Tuesday in a rubber boat. Sometime during the trip north across the Mediterranean Sea, the alleged assailants -- Muslims from the Ivory Coast, Mali and Senegal -- threw the 12 overboard, police said.
Other people on the voyage told police that they themselves were spared "because they strongly opposed the drowning attempt and formed a human chain," Palermo police said.
The boat was intercepted by an Italian navy vessel, which transferred the passengers to a Panamanian-flagged ship. That ship docked in Palermo on Wednesday, after which the arrests were made, police said. The 12 who died were from Nigeria and Ghana, police said.

Another car ramming attack and murder in Jerusalem

Another car jihadist struck in Jerusalem:
An Israeli man died and a woman was seriously injured after being hit by a car at a bus stop where they were standing on Wednesday night at the French Hill junction in Jerusalem.

The man who died was identified as Shalom Yohai Sharki. He and the woman were evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center, where Sharki died on Thursday morning.

The car was driven by an Arab man, who was lightly injured. He was taken into custody for questioning.

Police are investigating the possibility of the incident being a terrorist attack, following a series of recent ramming attacks in Jerusalem.
I think it's already apparent it was, and they don't need to hesitate to say so.

Suddenly, CBR (and Time) gives American Sniper more attention

CBR's Robot 6 section pointed to a Time article about how anti-ISIS fighters in Iraq are taking up the Punisher's symbol just as Chris Kyle and his squad were inspired to. This is the most significant mention CBR's made of details involving American Sniper so far, and I wonder if it's because these are locals - possibly the kind of people who might be described as "moderate Muslims" - who're trying out the skull symbols, and not just Kyle's team themselves. But, since this has some interesting notes to cite, let's see what they bring up. For example, at the beginning, they say:
The creator of The Punisher says he is 'flabbergasted' by the appropriation of his image by Iraqi fighters
So Gerry Conway's not happy even Iraqis took a liking to the skull symbol? We'll get to more on that soon, but now, here's something I want to take issue with:
In his regular life the Punisher is Frank Castle, a veteran of the Vietnam War whose family was killed in the crossfire of a mob dispute. Angry that the police fail to bring his family’s killers to justice, Castle takes the law into his own hands as the Punisher, using torture, murder and kidnapping in his anti-crime crusade. For the Punisher the ends justify the means in fighting evil.

“That is paralleling the Shi’ite militia,” says Aymenn al-Tamimi, a researcher at the Philadelphia-based think tank Middle East Forum.
While I haven't read every Punisher story from the better days till the end of the last century, I think they're exaggerating the torture and kidnapping parts a bit. And they certainly are obfuscating what he does to the villains he terminates, predictably calling it murder rather than execution of filth. Let's remember that many of the criminals Frank targeted were murderous themselves, and bringing in a MEF member with a statement to justify Time's standings (and Conway's too, I figure), is pretty low. No mention of any of the innocent lives Frank may have saved in his career either, I see.
As a poorly-guided vigilante the Punisher is a well-suited icon for the Iraqi security forces and Shi’ite militia that have been accused of looting towns, burning homes and murder in their fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS).
Wait a minute. Are they saying Frank Castle appeals to terrorists?!? Well now isn't that stooping very deep. It figures an awful magazine like Time would fudge everything up. Something overlooked here is - did the militias actually get the idea from the Punisher proper? I'd say the chances of that are minimal at best. But I'll admit, they may have gotten the idea from Kyle's troops.
“I think they forget the American association and just think, ‘oh, look how cool we are with these death skulls’,” says Tamimi. He points out that Iraqis appropriate “American symbols, despite of course the rampant anti-Americanism particularly with the Shi’ite militias. It’s an interesting discord.”
Well sadly, skulls can be seen as evil symbols despite the Punisher's belonging to somebody who's otherwise a good guy. If the local movements they cite did draw their symbols from the Punisher's and/or what Kyle's team used, it was probably by coincidence, not actually knowing it even came from an American comic book character's outfit.

But back to a fascinating question:

Mass Movement: U.S. Christians Wearing Orange In Church To Honor Christians Executed By ISIS

From Fox News:
A new campaign sweeping through American churches has worshipers wearing orange – either in their Sunday best or on ribbons – to raise attention to the Christians executed at the hands of ISIS.
The trend draws on the color orange to represent the jump suits worn by captives of the terrorist group, including some 20 Egyptian Copts beheaded last month in Libya.
The campaign comes on the heels of remarks by Pope Francis calling attention to the modern-day persecution of Christians around the world.
The Rev. Frank Karwacki, of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Mount Carmel, Pa., hoped to draw attention to the plight of persecuted Christians by encouraging members of his congregation to wear orange ribbons and dress in the color.
“We are all brothers and sisters in Christ,” Rev. Karwacki told FoxNews.com. “It’s so sad how they are being tortured—we need to get prayer power going.” Karwacki said his church has long prayed for persecuted Christians, but he was spurred to action by the destruction and executions he saw from ISIS in the Middle East.
“They destroyed those ancient churches and killed so many of our Catholics there,” he said. “I’m hoping that other parishes and churches” join the orange campaign.
His efforts follow similar ones by others, including Catholic writer Rey Flores who declared ‘Orange is the New Color of Martyrdom’ in an article for The Wanderer.
“We see images of these Christians getting executed on a daily basis,” Flores told FoxNews.com.

In 2012, Hillary Clinton Was Directly Asked by Congress About Any Private Email Accounts; She Never Answered

Hillary Rodham Clinton was directly asked by congressional investigators in a December 2012 letter whether she had used a private email account while serving as secretary of state, according to letters obtained by The New York Times.
But Mrs. Clinton did not reply to the letter.
And when the State Department answered in March 2013, nearly two months after she left office, it ignored the question and provided no response.
The query was posed to Mrs. Clinton in a Dec. 13, 2012, letter from Representative Darrell Issa, the Republican chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
Mr. Issa was leading an investigation into how the Obama administration handled its officials' use of personal email. "Have you or any senior agency official ever used a personal email account to conduct official business?"
Mr. Issa wrote to Mrs. Clinton. "If so, please identify the account used." ... A spokesman for the State Department declined on Tuesday to answer questions about why it had not addressed Mr. Issa's question about whether Mrs. Clinton or senior officials used personal email accounts.
Meanwhile, Cathy Young writes that Hillary Clinton will be tempted to play the Sexism Card on every criticism. But she shouldn't.
Already, a group that calls itself HRC Super Volunteers has warned that it will be "watching, reading, listening and protesting coded sexism." But such complaints are likely to hurt Clinton's quest for the White House -- and the advancement of women in politics in general -- far more than they help. ... [N]ot every insult directed at a woman is misogynist.
And the examples of subtle sexism offered by those watchful Clinton volunteers don't even rise to the level of particular nastiness.
Here's the group's list of suspect words and phrases sent out to the media: polarizing, calculating, disingenuous, insincere, ambitious, inevitable, entitled, overconfident, secretive, will do anything to win, represents the past, and out of touch. ...
Hypervigilance against the smallest possible gender bias can only make a candidate and her campaign look thin-skinned -- and invite charges of playing the gender card to deflect criticism. Even letting the occasional sexist insult slide is better than crying sexism.

The Islamic Inquisition

Two weeks back, Somali Muslims kidnapped and murdered hundreds of student at Garissa University in Kenya:
A small group of militants, most likely between four and 10, roved from dorm to dorm, separating Christian from Muslim students and killing the Christians, the authorities said.
This is not the first time Muslims have separated Christians from Muslims and then proceeded to slaughter all the Christians.

Here are some other specific examples:
•December 2, 2014: Al Shabaab gunmen launched an early morning raid on quarry workers sleeping in their worksite tents near the city of Mandera, along the Somali border. Christians and Muslims were separated before the Christians, thirty-six of them, were beheaded or shot dead.
•November 22, 2014: Al Shabaab attacked a bus and massacred 28 of its Christian passengers. Again, Muslim passengers were separated and left unharmed.
•August 24, 2014: Al Shabaab abducted a group of traders near the island of Lamu. The militants eventually released three of them, because they were Muslims, but beheaded the fourth, a Christian.
•June 15, 2014: Approximately 50 militants from Al Shabaab went on a killing spree in Mpeketoni, a predominantly Christian town on Kenya’s coast. They chanted “Allahu Akbar,” killed whoever could not recite verses from the Koran, and went door-to-door asking residents their religion, killing those who answered “Christian.” More than 57 people were killed, including six children of church pastors.
The other evening I attended a Celtic music concert, led by a young Harp player who fancied herself a  Pagan. Her music was enjoyable, but in between songs, we were treated to stories of the oppression and murder of Pagans.

The climax of the evening was the story of one particular woman who refused to renounce her Paganism, and went to her death telling her murderers they would suffer for the rest of eternity for what they did to her.

However, all the examples of such oppression and murder happened hundreds of years ago.

It seemed bitterly ironic that I was sitting and listening to this passionate young lady recount evil deeds done to unwilling martyrs of her religion so long ago, when members of my religion are constantly being murdered for their beliefs, all over the world, today, yesterday, and tomorrow.

Wikipedia says between 1540-1700 AD, approximately 3000 people were murdered by the Catholic Church for the "crime" of not being Christian.

In 2014, 3190 Christians were murdered for the "crime" of not being Muslim.

I believe it is likely many more Christians were murdered in Yemen, Libya, Syria, and Egypt, but I don't think there is any way to keep those numbers. Fact remains, the percentage of these populations that are Christian falling dramatically.

Those Christians had to go somewhere, right?

Turkish President Ergdogan Says Jewish “Mastermind” Has Been Plotting Against Turkey

Since October 2014, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has regularly referred to the concept of a “Mastermind” (ust akil, “supra-intellect,” in Turkish) that, he says, is plotting against Turkey. This concept has been applauded by the Islamist pro-AKP media. Erdogan’s December 12, 2014 speech, which focused on this “mastermind” concept, inspired the production of a two-hour “documentary” by one of the leading Turkish television channels, the pro-AKP A Haber.
The film, titled “The Mastermind,” first aired on March 15, 2015 and has been broadcast repeatedly since then; in addition, the Turkish Islamist pro-AKP media are circulating the film on their own websites.
According to this film, Jewish “domination of the world” goes back 3,500 years, to the days of Moses. The film presents three Jewish historical figures who, it claims, shaped the Jews’ hunger for power: the medieval Spanish philosopher and Torah scholar Moses Maimonides, Charles Darwin (who was not in fact a Jew), and German-American philosopher Leo Strauss.
Erdogan: The Mastermind – “You Know Who It Is”
“The Mastermind” opens with images of the Star of David, and images of a replica of the Temple in Jerusalem, and then an excerpt of President Erdogan’s December 12, 2014 speech is shown, with him saying: “I am emphasizing this: Do not think that these are operations[1] that target me personally. Do not think that these operations are against our government or any [political] party. My friends, the target of these operations and initiatives is Turkey, Turkey’s existence, her unity, peace, and stability. They are especially against Turkey’s economy and its independence. As I have said before, behind all these there is a Mastermind, which has now become part of our national conversation. Some ask me, ‘Who is this mastermind?’ and I say, ‘It is for you to research this. And you do know what it is, you know who it is.'”
“We Have To Look For The Mastermind In Jerusalem Where The Sons Of Israel Live”
The narrator then begins: “The Mastermind, whose roots go back thousands of years, who rules, burns, destroys, starves the world, creates wars, organizes revolutions and coups, establishes states within states – this ‘intellect’ is not only Turkey’s curse, but the curse of the entire world. Who is this mastermind? The answer is hidden inside truths and facts that can never be called conspiracy theories.
“This story begins in the very old days, 3,500 years ago, when Moses brought his people out of Egypt to Jerusalem. The only guide he had was the Ten Commandments. This is what was placed inside a wooden Ark which was later brought into the Temple of Solomon.
“This is not myth but fact. And we have to look for the mastermind in Jerusalem where the sons of Israel live.”

Why There Is No Islamic Terrorism in Japan

From C and M:

In 2011, Sunni Muslims accounted for the greatest number of terrorist attacks and fatalities for the third year in a row. Over 5,700 incidents were committed by Sunni Muslims, responsible for nearly 56 percent of all attacks and about 70 percent of 12,533 fatalities.*
Another 24 percent of the fatalities are on Shi´a Muslims. So in 2011, Muslims were responsible for 94 percent of the fatalities in terrorist attacks. Since 2011, with ISIS on the scene, the number of the fatalities –victims of the Muslim terrorist attacks- sharply grew, together with Muslims´ share in the world terrorism that is steadily closing in on 100%.
In 2013, according to the US Department of State, a total of 9,707 terrorist attacks occurred worldwide, resulting in more than 17,800 deaths and more than 32,500 injuries. In addition, more than 2,990 people were kidnapped or taken hostage. Information about perpetrators was reported in source materials for 32 percent of terrorist attacks in 2013.
And of these 32 percent, or 17,800 deaths, only three Muslim terrorist groups, namely the Taliban, ISIS and Boko Haram, were responsible for 5,655 fatalities, or for 31.76 percent! That means that  31.76 percent out of the 32 percent of terrorist attacks which had reported information about the attackers were perpetrated by only three Muslim terrorist groups, out of a good 50 more that exist in our turbulent world!
Muslim terrorists can be proud: their share in world terrorist attacks is now close to 100%.
Seems there is not a single country where Muslims would not show their true colors… But no! There is such a country. It’s one of the most developed countries on Earth, and its democratic nature is recognized worldwide, a true ally of the USA and a member of NATO. However, with all this, there was not a single terrorist attack perpetrated by Muslims in this country. Moreover, there was not a single, even minor, riot, disturbance or protest, no matter how many citizens of this country support cartoons of the prophet Muhammad published in some Danish newspaper or in a French magazine.
The name of this lucky country is Japan.
Of course, Japan achieved this by some super effective integration policy, through using the most advanced technologies and assigning billions of yen on the building of thousands of mosques and Islamic schools all over Japan, banning pork in all public places, introducing separate hours for boys and girls in swimming pools in all public schools, and Japanese male doctors do not dare touch their female patients, Muslim women get immense social aid each time they have a child, Shari´a courts were introduced in the judicial system of Japan, and the Koran is considered a Holy Book in Japan…
No, nothing of the kind. What Japan did to avoid problems related to Muslims was much simpler and cheaper; Japan is practically closed to Muslims.
Officially, immigration to Japan is not closed to Muslims. But the number of the immigration permits given to the applicants from Islamic countries is very low. Obtaining a working visa is not easy for adepts of Islam, even if they are physicians, engineers and managers sent by foreign companies that are active in the region. As a result, Japan is “a country without Muslims”.
There is no reliable estimate on the Japanese Muslim population. However, claims of thirty thousand made by some researchers are without doubt an exaggeration. Some claim that there are only a few hundred. This probably amounts to the number of Muslims openly practicing Islam. Asked to give an estimate on the actual number of Muslims in Japan, the ex-president of the Japan Islamic Association Abu Bakr Morimoto replied, “To say frankly, only one thousand. In the broadest sense, I mean, if we do not exclude those who became Muslims for the sake of, say marriage, and do not practice then the number would be a few thousand.”
One of the leaders of the Muslim community in Japan,  Nur Ad-Din Mori, was asked: “What percentage of Japan’s total population are Muslims?” He responded, “The answer at the moment is: One out of a hundred thousand.”
Japan’s population is 130 million people, so if these Muslim leaders are correct, then there must be around 1300 Muslims. But even those  Muslims who obtained immigration permits and lived many years in the country have very poor chances of becoming Japanese citizens.
Japan officially forbids exhorting people to adopt the religion of Islam (Dawah), and any Muslim who actively encourages conversion to Islam is seen as proselytizing to a foreign and undesirable culture. Too active “promoters of Islam” face deportation- and sometimes even a jail sentence.
The Arabic language is taught by very few academic institutes; I could find only one such institute: The Arabic Islamic Institute in Tokyo. But even the International University of Japan in Tokyo does not offer courses on Arabic or Islamic languages.
Importing the Koran in Arabic is practically impossible, and the only one permitted is the “adapted” version in Japanese.
Until recently, there were only two mosques in Japan: Tokyo Jama Masjid and Kobe Mosque. Now, the total number of Muslim praying sites in Japan is counted in some 30 single story mosques and about a hundred apartment rooms set aside for prayers.
And Japanese society expects Muslims to pray at home: no collective “prostrating” in the streets or squares; in Japan, for such “shows” the actors can get pretty high fines, and in those cases Japanese Police consider “serious”, the participants can be deported.
Quite often, Japanese companies seeking foreign workers specifically note that they are not interested in Muslims.
There is not even a trace of a Shari´a Law in Japan, and halal food is extremely difficult to find in there.
The Japanese tend to perceive Islam as a “strange  and dangerous religion” that a true Japanese should avoid, and the recent murders of two Japanese nationals, Haruna Yukawa and Kenji Goto, by ISIS have not contributed to any improvement in the opinions of the Japanese on this matter.
And the most  interesting thing in the Japanese approach to Muslims is the fact that the Japanese do not feel any guilt for such a “discriminatory” approach to Islam, and they evidently do not think they should  apologize to Muslims for the negative way in which they perceive their religion. Arab gas and oil- yes, and Japan maintains good relations with Arab exporters. But Islam – no, and Muslim immigration- neither. Islam is something that is suitable for others, not for Japan, and therefore the Muslims must remain outside.
And Muslims in Japan do not riot, they do not brand the Japanese “racists”, they do not burn cars, smash windows, behead Japanese soldiers for having been in Afghanistan, Iraq or anywhere else on Earth – and not a single Japanese has been victim of a Muslim terrorist attack on Japanese soil in the last 30 years.
Maybe Europe and the USA should look at the Japanese model of dealing with Muslims more closely?

Culturist Fact: Birmingham is not British

People ask, “John, isn’t culturism just another vague ‘ism.’”  No.  Culturism is not metaphysical.  Cultures exist in heads and on land. This is measurable. That is why it is a culturist fact that much of Birmingham is no longer British.
Do a thought experiment with me: If all of the “British people” were killed (God-forbid) and the land we call Britain were entirely re-populated with Muslims (as in the attached video), would British culture still exist?  Would it linger in some eternal metaphysical realm?  NO!  It would be gone.
Cultures live in heads. And, these heads need land upon which to exist.  These are real items in real space.  When an area is Pakistani, it is no longer ‘also British’ in some metaphysical way. The area is Pakistani.
As of 2011, 13.48% of Birmingham was Pakistani. At the same time, white folks of British heritage, were 53.1% of Birmingham in 2011.  And, Indians were 6.02%.[i]  The Indians may identify with Britain.  Hindus have a long history with Britain. But their temples are non-British spaces. Details aside, the fact remains, much of Birmingham no longer primarily identifies with Britain, its history, traditions, songs, etc.
Now multiculturalists will tell you that everything is British: the Muslims marching in the attached video are just as British as Prince Charles and Monty Python. Shiva is a British God too. Everything is British and nothing is British.  As a culturist, I disagree.  British culture does exist.  Those in the shared video are not British.
From a culturist perspective, the attached video shows, large parts of Birmingham are no longer British, under British control, or a part of the British Isles.

Judicial Watch:

ISIS Camp a Few Miles from Texas, Mexican Authorities Confirm

ISIS is operating a camp just a few miles from El Paso, Texas, according to Judicial Watch sources that include a Mexican Army field grade officer and a Mexican Federal Police Inspector.
The exact location where the terrorist group has established its base is around eight miles from the U.S. border in an area known as “Anapra” situated just west of Ciudad Juárez in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. Another ISIS cell to the west of Ciudad Juárez, in Puerto Palomas, targets the New Mexico towns of Columbus and Deming for easy access to the United States, the same knowledgeable sources confirm.
During the course of a joint operation last week, Mexican Army and federal law enforcement officials discovered documents in Arabic and Urdu, as well as “plans” of Fort Bliss – the sprawling military installation that houses the US Army’s 1st Armored Division. Muslim prayer rugs were recovered with the documents during the operation.
Law enforcement and intelligence sources report the area around Anapra is dominated by the Vicente Carrillo Fuentes Cartel (“Juárez Cartel”), La Línea (the enforcement arm of the cartel) and the Barrio Azteca (a gang originally formed in the jails of El Paso). Cartel control of the Anapra area make it an extremely dangerous and hostile operating environment for Mexican Army and Federal Police operations.
According to these same sources, “coyotes” engaged in human smuggling – and working for Juárez Cartel – help move ISIS terrorists through the desert and across the border between Santa Teresa and Sunland Park, New Mexico. To the east of El Paso and Ciudad Juárez, cartel-backed “coyotes” are also smuggling ISIS terrorists through the porous border between Acala and Fort Hancock, Texas. These specific areas were targeted for exploitation by ISIS because of their understaffed municipal and county police forces, and the relative safe-havens the areas provide for the unchecked large-scale drug smuggling that was already ongoing.
Mexican intelligence sources report that ISIS intends to exploit the railways and airport facilities in the vicinity of Santa Teresa, NM (a US port-of-entry). The sources also say that ISIS has “spotters” located in the East Potrillo Mountains of New Mexico (largely managed by the Bureau of Land Management) to assist with terrorist border crossing operations. ISIS is conducting reconnaissance of regional universities; the White Sands Missile Range; government facilities in Alamogordo, NM; Ft. Bliss; and the electrical power facilities near Anapra and Chaparral, NM.

from Bloomberg in September:

Islamic State Talked of Entering U.S. Through Mexico

Sept. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Islamic State extremists have discussed infiltrating the U.S. through its southern border with Mexico, a U.S. official said.
Francis Taylor, under secretary for intelligence and analysis at the Department of Homeland Security, told a Senate committee today that the Sunni militants have been tracked discussing the idea on social-media sites such as Twitter Inc.
“There have been Twitter and social-media exchanges among ISIL adherents across the globe speaking about that as a possibility,” Taylor said in response to a question from Senator John McCain, an Arizona Republican. Islamic State is also known by the acronyms ISIL and ISIS.
Referring to the 1,933-mile (3,110-kilometer) boundary with Mexico, Taylor said he was “satisfied that we have the intelligence and the capability at our border that would prevent that activity.”
Taylor’s comments before the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee came hours before President Barack Obama was to outline in a speech plans to expand the U.S. offensive against Islamic State. Steps under consideration include blocking foreign fighters from entering Syria and Iraq, delivering more aid to moderate factions among Syrian rebels, and expanding air strikes to Islamic State targets in Syria.

Mexican Cartels

Taylor said the security of the U.S.’s southwest border remains a high concern for his department, and that Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson has ordered “a comprehensive southern border security strategy that will include national security risks.”
U.S. intelligence officials said they are skeptical that Mexican drug cartels would let jihadists use their turf or delivery routes to attack the U.S. The cartels know that terrorist attackers coming through areas they control would almost certainly bring massive retaliation and a militarized border that would threaten their lucrative narcotics-smuggling operations, said two officials, who requested anonymity to discuss classified intelligence assessments.
Officials testifying before the committee said that Islamic State currently poses the greatest threat to U.S. interests in Iraq and within the region. At the moment, the group’s ability to develop significant, large-scale attacks diminishes with distance from Syria and Iraq, said Nicholas Rasmussen, deputy director of the National Counterterrorism Center.

Not Immediate

“We do not assess right now they have the capability to mount an effective large-scale attack on the United States,” Rasmussen said.
Islamic State’s sweep across Iraq and a campaign of terror that has included the beheading of two U.S. journalists have galvanized fears among Americans of a rising terrorist threat and stirred demands from lawmakers that Obama articulate a plan for dealing with the issue.
Sixty-five percent of Americans back bombing strikes against the extremists in Syria, more than double the level of support from a year ago, according to an ABC News/Washington Post poll released yesterday.
Islamic State members have surfaced in Europe -- specifically in a shooting that killed four people at a Jewish museum in Brussels and through arrests in Paris -- “a clear indication of ISIL’s ambition to operate outside the Middle East,” Rasmussen said. If the group is left to grow, that threat will only increase, he said.

‘Apostate’ Governments

“Left unchecked, ISIL poses a threat to all governments it considers apostate,” Rasmussen said, adding that the group’s targets would include governments in Europe, the U.S., Africa and the Middle East.
Lawmakers concentrated on the threat posed by foreign fighters who join Islamic State, either Americans or Europeans who wouldn’t need a visa to enter the United States.
Johnson, speaking in New York today, said that about 12,000 foreigners are estimated to have traveled to Syria to fight over the past three years. The FBI has arrested some people who have tried to travel from the U.S. to Syria to join the fight.
In response to threats from overseas, Johnson said the U.S. has increased aviation security in 25 airports abroad since early July, adding screening of both passengers and carry-on luggage.
Rasmussen estimated that “over 100 persons from a wide variety of backgrounds have attempted to travel to the region” from the U.S. to fight alongside extremist groups active in Iraq and Syria.

‘Looking to Join’

Many go “simply looking to join the fight” and engage with extremist elements, not necessarily searching to join Islamic State in particular, Rasmussen said. “Where they end up actually affiliating plays out over time,” he said.
Rasmussen said the estimate of 100 people included individuals who show intent to travel but haven’t left the U.S. as well as those who remain there, those who have been killed and those who have returned.
One wild card will be U.S. citizens who may be radicalized through the Internet and decide to take up arms here, Rasmussen said.
“We can’t account for homegrown terrorists,” Rasmussen said, “people who might self-affiliate.”
This “lone-wolf” phenomenon “is the hardest terrorist threat to detect, and the one I worry about the most,” he said, citing the Boston Marathon bombers.

‘Aggressive’ Sharing

If there is any good news, Rasmussen said, it is the “aggressive information-sharing with all of our partners who have the same problem.” This has given the U.S. and Europe “a significant leg up” in attempts “to disrupt travel when these individuals attempt to leave Iraq,” he said.
Gathering data on Islamic State and other extremists groups has become more difficult since disclosures by former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden, Rasmussen said, as intelligence agencies have seen terrorists change their methods and means of communication to avoid detection.
Those changes “frustrate our counterterrorism efforts,” he said. “We cannot connect the dots if we cannot collect the dots.”
