The Islamic State group affiliate in Egypt has claimed it downed the aircraft, but has not said how it might have done so.
Cairo and Moscow, however, have denied any possible terrorism link in the incident, one of the deadliest Airbus crashes in the past decade.
This evening, the prime minister's office said: 'The black box was recovered from the tail of the plane and has been sent to be analysed by experts.'
It added that more than 45 ambulances have been dispatched to the crash site, with rescuers having recovered 129 victims' bodies so far.
The jet, which was leased by a Russian airline and carrying package holiday passengers back to St Peterburg in northern Russia, plummeted to the ground less than 25 minutes after it took off from the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheik.
It crashed in the Hassana area, south of Arish, officials said.
Security forces discovered the plane wreckage in a remote mountainous area in a region containing many ISIS-affiliated terrorists.
Ismail told reporters experts will 'start examining the information in the plane's black box, and based on this we will study the causes of the crash'.
He also expressed scepticism about ISIS's claim that it carried out the attack in response to Russian strikes in Syria.
The ISIS statement read: 'The soldiers of the caliphate succeeded in bringing down a Russian plane in Sinai.'
But Islami claimed: 'Experts have affirmed that technically planes at this altitude cannot be shot down, and the black box will be the one that will reveal the reasons for the crash,' according to state news agency MENA.
Russian transport minister Maksim Sokolov also dismissed the ISIS claims. He said: 'This information cannot be considered accurate.
We are in close contact with our Egyptian colleagues and aviation authorities in the country. At present, they have no information that would confirm such insinuations.'
While the use of a surface-to-air missile has been dismissed as a potential cause of the crash by officials, an on-board bomb could be a possibility.

Leftists hold a rally to welcome tens of thousands of refugees to Germany. Migrant Muslims were seen on video singing jihadist songs at their refugee center. The ignorant German volunteers applauded.
It’s in the air, broadcast of 14 October 2015. The Iraqi and Syrian Christians were isolated in special reception centers after being continually harassed.
One of Iraqi Christians tells France 5: “At our previous center, volunteers were sitting listening to music, the Arabs sand jihadi songs and the German volunteers clapped their hands without understanding.”
The image sums up the situation: the Arabs install Islamism, leftists not understanding what is happening rejoice in living together that exists only in their fantasy world. Carnage to follow.Leftists will be the death of us.
An Iranian actress has been banned from acting and branded ‘immoral’ after she posted pictures of herself online without her hijab.
Sadaf Taherian put the pictures of herself on her Facebook and Instagram pages in protest against strict laws in Iran that decree women cover their heads.
But the pictures soon drew the attention of the Iranian ministry of culture.
She’s since had to flee to nearby Dubai after facing public abuse over the pictures, with officials even reportedly doctoring them, Photoshopping her hijab back on.What is it with Muslim dudes?
For the CNBC employees who boarded a charter plane right after Wednesday's bruising GOP debate, the redeye flight was physically smooth but emotionally turbulent. People were exhausted, but also rattled and worried.
"We were shell-shocked," one source said.
The poor reviews were piling up — declaring CNBC the biggest loser of the night — and the moderators Carl Quintanilla and Becky Quick knew more would be published by the time the flight landed in New York.
So for some flyers, it was a sleepless night.
But there was some laughter and some liquor to lighten the mood — and some speculation about how high the ratings would be.
At 12:30 p.m. Thursday they found out: 14 million people watched, easily making the much-derided debate the most-watched program in CNBC's 30-year history.
Because advertisers paid $250,000 apiece, it was "also the most profitable night in the network's history," an NBCUniversal executive crowed.
There was simultaneous crowing and cringing on Thursday. Employees who spoke on condition of anonymity for this story wished for a "do-over" and pointed fingers of blame for the chaotic production.
Some pointed all the way up to CNBC president Mark Hoffman, who was also aboard Wednesday night's charter.
"Everyone feels pretty embarrassed," one veteran staffer said.
A series of billboards mocking communion biscuits and arguing it should be fine to flush to Koran down the toilet without fear of violence have been banned because they 'discriminate or vilify'.
Prominent atheist thinker Sam Harris, who famously argued with Ben Affleck about Islam on American television earlier this year, will visit Australia on a speaking tour next year. But organisers are furious APN Outdoor won't them run the advertisements which feature quotes from Mr Harris.
They argue: 'To reject these posters is to censor free speech - pure and simple'.
One advertisement said people should be able to flush all books including the Islamic holy text down the toilet without fear of violent reprisals. So offensive, huh?

An Egyptian woman writing under the pen name Magda Borham has composed a lengthy letter to Western countries, warning them of the immediate danger posed by Islamic invasion via “immigration.”
Having lived in Egypt for more than thirty years, she states,
“Nobody else in the world knows Islam and the mentality of Muslims more than those who have suffered by having Islam as a part of their life. If you listen to the cries of the Copts of Egypt, the Christians of Syria, Iraq, Sudan, Pakistan and all the other Muslim countries you will hear the descriptions of the horrors of Islam.
See and feel the tears of the minorities in every Islamic society. These tears will tell you the true stories of Islam. Hear the blood of the ex-Muslims pounding. It’s their blood that is shouting out every single second asking the rest of the world to “Wake up!”GO READ THE WHOLE THING.
In only his third speech since taking up the job in 2013, Mr Parker said terrorists were using a ‘bewildering array of devices and digital platforms’ to plot attacks, admitting MI5 had to carry out computer hacking against terror groups to access their communication networks. He said internet firms also had an ‘ethical responsibility’ to help tackle terrorism.
An indictment was filed Friday morning against Ahmed Manasra, the 13-year-old Palestinian boy responsible for a stabbing attack that wounded two Israelis in Pisgat Ze'ev earlier this month. And he deserved it. He should know that with such massive evidence on video tape, he cannot talk his way out of this.
According to the charge, the minor and his 15-year-old cousin were drawn to act violently in an act of martyrdom with the intent of killing Jews.
The indictment said the 13-year-old identified with Hamas and the plight of the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank.
Manasra denied the claims being charged against him when speaking to authorities earlier this month.
"I was with my cousin, but I didn't stab anyone," he told authorities. "I even pleaded with him not to stab anyone. I didn't want to go through with it even though at first we left the house with the intention of stabbing Jews. This was after my cousin persuaded me to come with him. I was just afraid."
His claims contradicted his initial statements made to the authorities soon after his arrest, when he said that he and his cousin wanted to stab Jews in response to a perceived violation of the status quo on Temple Mount.
CCTV footage released by the Israel Police showed the two cousins chasing a terrified Israeli man who they just stabbed in Jerusalem’s Pisgat Ze’ev neighborhood, before giving up and looking for a new victim.
The teenage terrorists can then be seen running with their knives still drawn toward a candy store that a Jewish boy exits to get on his bicycle.
Seconds later, Ahmed and his accomplice are seen stabbing him in the neck, critically wounding him.
After falling to the ground, the Jewish boy is kicked by one of his assailants, before the Palestinian teens flee the scene when a male store patron gives chase.
Ahmed was run down by a vehicle moments later.
A Knesset Education, Culture and Sport Committee meeting on incitement in Palestinian schools and media grew heated Wednesday, with Arab MKs saying the discussion was Israeli propaganda.I would just disagree about "nationalism" here, not just because there's never been a "palestinian people" of Arabic/Islamic background, but also because teaching evil isn't something real nationalists should do. To truly qualify for your own country, you can't give an education built on hatred, murder and destruction.
Palestinian Media Watch director Itamar Marcus presented his organization’s report on Palestinian Authority education, which assessed the prominent educational messages that could impact peace with Israel.
The report documents that in formal and informal educational frameworks, killers of Israelis are portrayed as heroes and role models, and that children are taught that Israel will eventually be replaced by “Palestine.”
At least 25 Palestinian Authority schools are named after terrorists; three are named after Dalal Mughrabi, who led the most lethal terrorist attack in Israeli history in 1978, killing 37 civilians, 12 of them children.
Marcus showed the MKs a film from PA television, in which a student expressed pride “to attend the Dalal Mughrabi School, which bears this pioneering name,” and another student said her “life’s ambition is to reach the level that the martyr fighter Dalal Mughrabi reached.”
Another clip from televised news in the PA showed a boy saying he learned in school to “fight the Jews, kill them and defeat them,” and another told children that Jews are “Satan with a tail.”
The report also contains chapters on incitement in Palestinian textbooks, educational materials glorifying Hitler, and the PA policy of blocking joint peace-building activities between Palestinian and Israeli children.
Marcus explained that the messages Palestinian children are receiving are nationalist – that Israel is not legitimate on any borders and its existence since 1948 is an occupation – and anti-Semitic – that Jews are evil by nature, descendants of monkeys and pigs, and fated to be killed by Muslims.
As part of a comprehensive course of action designed to contain the ongoing security crisis rocking Israel and the West Bank, Israel Security Forces were instructed Friday to seal off certain Palestinian neighborhoods in Hebron in order to better conduct security operations and searches throughout the area. It's all for good reasons that this is being done.
According to the IDF, new security checks will be implemented gradually to help deter terror attacks.
Dubbed operation "Breathing Closure," one of the plan's new directives is to limit the movement of Palestinians from entering and exiting Jewish communities in Hebron, which has been an epicenter of recent violent terror attacks.
Restrictions also apply to Palestinians between the ages of 15-25; Palestinian students who leave their communities in order to attend class will now be subjected to more extensive security checks.
The intelligence sector remains hard at work. Jihadi sites are scrubbed, some sites monitored and others are acquired, and used as honey pots. But with the advent of Twitter, infection is spiking November of 2008: The Conficker worm emerged from the cocoon of her creator and infected her first computer.
The dynamic of infiltration and subsequent growth of a massive botnet astounded those who followed Conficker’s movements and upgrades. Hassen Saidi (PhD in computer studies) was one of the many researchers involved in studying the worm. He dissected the various strains of the worm. His analysis provided insight into the progression of the Conficker infection.
Within a month of the initial digital incursion, 1.5 million computers in 195 countries were compromised. In the world of computers, malware is compressed into small data packets for rapid dissemination across the internet. Malware is also shielded with self-protective measures to avoid detection.
When the Conficker worm made an initial appearance it barely registered any activity. But for those tasked with monitoring the same, the stakes were high. The behaviour of the Conficker worm provides an uncanny parallel with the manner in which jihad recruitment moves forward with the delivery of tiny packets of information.
The stakes are incredibly high in this line of work. Tracking is 24/7 by the alphabet security agencies. When a jihad malware infection occurs the recipient may register minimal online presence. An observable digital footprint can still obscure movement towards an operational attack. Semper Vigilans.
Observing the object code and electrical charges (translate: emotional charges) associated with jihad recruitment, code never ceases to amaze me. The host for a malware infection is not only a programmable machine. Incursions with greater complexity are in flux. The 21st century host resides within a small space known as the human skull.
The combination of a mind, free will and human emotion provide multiple avenues for agitation propaganda, exploitation and adaptation of the subject. During the early years after 9/11, the malware activity at work on human brains increased significantly via internet jihad forums.
My daily leapfrog across jihad portals gave me the ability to monitor the emotional pulse generated from the sites. This activity within the sites was not yet infecting within the tens of millions. But, over a period of months, there was the steady appearance of a remote thread injection — a hidden code — that executed itself within a legitimate address.
That remote thread was based on an understanding of hadith and the historical battles of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). My own intellectual ability to follow along required immersion studies into the tiny data packets of information known as hadith and their smaller packets known as isnd and matn (chain of transmitters and text, respectively).GO READ THE WHOLE THING.

A WORKER at a Scots nuclear power plant has been allegedly caught studying bomb-making websites at work.
The staff member was marched off the premises at Hunterston B, West Kilbride, this morning after a shocked colleague raised the alarm.
Police are now investigating the worker accessing “inappropriate material” while working at the nuclear facility.
An imam who was found in the back of a lorry in Dover has been jailed after police discovered an invoice for £18million worth of ammunition on his mobile phone.
Abdurraouf Eshati, 29, was sentenced to six years in prison today after he pleaded guilty to terrorism and immigration offences.
Eshati, who lived in a mosque in Wrexham where he sometimes led prayers, was one of 20 people discovered in a lorry heading for France on November 30 last year.
On his mobile phone, police found a $28.5million (£18.6million) invoice from an arms supplier for the sale and delivery of 1,100 tonnes of ammunition to Libya.
His phone also held a document about chartering a cargo jet for $250,000 (£163,000) for use in the North African country.
The federal government’s chief climate research agency is refusing to give House Republicans the detailed information they want on a controversial study on climate change.
Citing confidentiality concerns and the integrity of the scientific process, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) said it won’t give Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Texas) the research documents he subpoenaed.
At the center of the controversy is a study that concluded there has not been a 15-year “pause” in global warming. Some NOAA scientists contributed to the report.
Skeptics of climate change, including Smith, have cited the pause to insist that increased greenhouse gas emissions, mostly from burning fossil fuels, are not heating up the globe.
Smith, the chairman of the House Science Committee, vehemently disagreed with the study’s findings. He issued a subpoena for communications among the scientists and some data, leading to charges from Democrats that he was trying to intimidate the researchers.
Late Tuesday, NOAA provided Smith with some more information about its methods and data but refused to give Smith everything he wanted.
NOAA spokeswoman Ciaran Clayton said the internal communications are confidential and not related to what Smith is trying to find out.

For the past two years, thousands of refugees from the Middle East, Africa and South Asia have risked their lives in dangerous boat trips across the Mediterranean to Greece, Italy and Spain. More than 6,300 of them have died. By last summer, Europe began to feel the crisis.
About one-third of the 710,000 illegal immigrants that have landed in Europe this year are Syrians. This number is much higher than the 282,000 immigrants that arrived in 2014. Afghans, Iraqis and others also entered Europe – with 220,000 headed to Germany.
The European Union and Germany in particular are facing a situation that none of them is ready to face. Unlike the United States, where immigration is a major part of the American success story, Europe does not have the long tradition of integration.
While available social services could last for many years, immigrants and refugees often live in areas that host other refugees. True integration within a society is hard to achieve. Since the European migration crisis started a few months ago, inter-European relations have been damaged.
The landmark Schengen Agreement that created a border-less Europe now appears passé. Several European countries have built border structures to stop the flow of refugees. Others have closed their borders, forcing the refugees to change their routs to Germany and Sweden.
"If we don't find a solution today, if we don't do everything we can today, then it is the end of the European Union as such," Slovenia Prime Minister Miro Cerar told reporters. Sixty-thousand refugees crossed Slovenia in the last few weeks.
... But what if the current trend continues or worsens? In September, 170,000 illegal immigrants entered the E.U. What if the 710,000 immigrants so far in 2015 become 1.5 million by the end of the year, as many predict? The 170,000 refugees in September were a slight decrease from 190,000 in August. But this trend was reversed last week when 50,000 refugees entered Greece, breaking all past records.
A slowing in the E.U.'s recovery from its worst unemployment crisis and weaker German economic growth could be the outcome of the migration crisis. Combined with the slowing Chinese economy, the European migration crisis could endanger the fragile recovery in the U.S. following the 2008 financial crisis.
ISIS has become a terror hurricane, attracting tens of thousands of extremists across the globe, at the same time destroying the fabric of countries, societies and cultures. It has emerged as the most dangerous hub of intolerance and hate since the Nazis.
New data has shown that the U.S.-led campaign has failed to weaken ISIS, let alone crush it. As many as 30,000 foreign fighters joined the group, according to the CIA. ISIS is taking in about $50 million a month by selling oil, and has launched more than 1,000 attacks between June 1 and September 30, killing about 3,000 people around the world, according to HIS Jane’s Terrorism and Insurgency Center. This is a 40 percent increase from the previous three months.
Finally, a report from a House taskforce on homeland security said that ISIS has inspired or directed 60 terror plots in the West, including in the U.S., according to a report by the House committee on homeland security.
The resurgence of ISIS and the Taliban in Afghanistan, the bankruptcy of the Iraqi government, the Russian direct military involvement in Syria, the rise of al-Qaeda amidst the continuous war in Yemen, the exploitation and ongoing suppression of the Muslim Brotherhood by ISIS in Egypt, and the expansion of ISIS amid the Libyan civil war are all parts of a lost Arab spring in the Middle East. This may be the darkest part of President Obama's foreign affairs record. These crises will be the inheritance of the next American president in January 2017.
And the Middle East is not the only part of the world that is experiencing increasing instability and driving refugees to Europe. Other hot spots include:
- The desperate situation in Somalia where ISIS issued four propaganda videos to urge the Shabab militia to switch alliance from al-Qaeda.
- Ongoing war in Darfur region in Sudan.
- War with Boko Haram, ISIS's African franchise in Nigeria where President Obama has sent 300 US soldiers.
- Poverty in Bangladesh amid the emergence of ISIS.
- The Taliban insurgency in Pakistan.
- Resumption of Turkey's war against the Kurdish rebels.
As moderate Muslims and other groups migrate to Europe, the Middle East loses the human capital --potentially talented men and, yes, women -- necessary to build modern economies and become part of a global society.
- The bad economic situation in Albania and Kosovo.
Whatever the real goals of the Islamic State, one inevitable result of their actions, should they prevail, will be isolation.
Europe, already struggling to accept Muslims and other immigrants into their societies, will have an enormous challenge welcoming a new influx of Muslim refugees.
According to recent reports, there is increasing conflict between citizens and newly arrived immigrants in Germany, the country of choice for many refugees.
Sweden has another problem. It’s one of the most generous countries in terms of its immigration policies offering cash and social services to all newcomers. But Sweden has also seen the rise of criminal gangs and more violent crime in ethnic areas.
As a result, the country is becoming less tolerant racially. In a recent poll, 58 percent of Swedes believe there’s too much immigration. Ominously, 48 percent of immigrants don’t work. Maybe that’s why Denmark is discouraging new immigrants.
France and England have their own issues. The terror attack on the employees of Charlie Hebdo, which killed 12, exposed a fault line in France’s national security. Like Sweden, Britain has a rape problem that includes exploitation of children. And like Germany, there are Muslim areas where many crimes go unreported.Europe has never truly integrated its immigrants. You’re French or you’re not; you’re British or you’re not, and so on.
As a result, outsiders are marginalized, whether they’re guest workers in Germany or refugees in France. This new group immigrants could tip the balance on multiple levels—for jobs, for social welfare resources, for housing and food, and ultimately for safety.
If that happens, what is now just a small tear in the social fabric could rip Europe apart.
