Nation of Islam …. of course. I reported in my book, The Post American Presidency: The Obama Administration’s War on America, Obama’s security during his 2008 presidential run was the Fruit of Islam, the male-only paramilitary wing of the Nation of Islam (NOI).
Micah Johnson was a Facebook member of The Nation of Islam and Black Liberation Party, Obama’s old stomping grounds. Obama’s spiritual guru, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, is a fiery hate pastor in a Black Liberation church.
“What we know about the Dallas gunman: Army veteran reportedly said he ‘wanted to kill white people’,”
By Laura J. Nelson, Nigel Duara, from the LA Times
Fact one..Right now whites are ~62% of the population as projected from the last census (census.gov). Blacks are ~13.2%.
Fact two..ARRESTS DATA..
69% of arrests by police were of whites, 28% were blacks.
58% of arrests for VIOLENT crime were of whites, 38.5% of blacks.
48% of arrests for MURDER were of whites, 49% were of blacks.
.. complicated by ECONOMIC SITUATIONS, whites were slightly more than
expected by proportion in the population to be arrested (NOT CONVICTED)
and blacks were TWICE as likely as their proportion would indicate.
data skews WORSE for violent crimes and murder where the black
population is concerned, where it is almost MORE LIKELY THAN NOT that an
arrest made for murder is going to be a black person even though they
represent 13% of the population.
I draw no satisfaction from this,
and find it alarming for the nation since economic conditions are
undoubtedly a major factor (NOT AN EXCUSE).
Now, how do police act when the stop or arrest occurs and there is a police shooting?
slightly more than 1 out of 4 arrests are of blacks, and 2 of every 3
are whites. If a violent crime has occurred or is being investigated,
the balance is heavily shifted towards a black American then being
WaPo says 965 people were shot by police last year. 564 were armed with a gun. 281 with another weapon. 90 were unarmed.
a year-long study, The Washington Post found that the kind of incidents
that have ignited protests in many U.S. communities — most often, white
police officers killing unarmed black men — represent less than 4
percent of fatal police shootings.
I hate to call that data encouraging, but it is.
Post found that the great majority of people who died at the hands of
the police fit at least one of three categories: they were wielding
weapons, they were suicidal or mentally troubled, or they ran when
officers told them to halt.
black men make up only 6 percent of the U.S. population, they account
for 40 percent of the unarmed men shot to death by police this year, The
Post’s database shows. In the majority of cases in which police
shot and killed a person who had attacked someone with a weapon or
brandished a gun, the person who was shot was white. But a
hugely disproportionate number — 3 in 5 — of those killed after
exhibiting less threatening behavior were black or Hispanic.
40% of the 90 men is 36 men.
END OF DATA
Conclusions, and observations:
Police officers have a pretty good idea of this data in rough form. To know this data is not profiling.
are all asked to judge the BELIEF of cops at the moment they decide to
fire. Police being convicted of murder or manslaughter is a rare event.
So rare the data can hardly be extrapolated.
WaPo outlines a
PERFECT case. David Kassick’s shooting by Officer Lisa Mearkle. Kassick
was pulled over at a stop for expired inspection sticker (something that
has happened to yours truly THIS YEAR). He took off in his vehicle.
Then, he ran. He was tasered three times and fell to the ground and
apparently kept trying to get the electrodes out of his body by reaching
for them, or in her mind, MAYBE SOMETHING ELSE. He was shot twice in
the back and killed. For an expired inspection sticker. He was white.
She was white.
The jury in her trial was asked to judge her
state her mind and thus found that EVEN THOUGH in observing the video
they would not have shot Kassick, the foreman said they had to figure
out if her fear Kassick might have a gun was justified.
sister claimed a summons for the expired sticker could have been sent in
the mail, rather than engage in a chase. Mearkle claimed his taking off
and trying to get away for a traffic stop as kids were coming home from
school made this a potentially dangerous and inexplicable social
action,…what else was going on?
There were no protests or riots.
She was acquitted.
do NOT see in 36 deaths last year of unarmed black men, especially
considering the arrest data, a pattern by police which represents the
fact that police don’t think their taking a black life matters.
a lack of equal opportunity is REALLY the driver of the perception that
black lives don’t matter is an entirely other issue.
I live in a
rural state, in a town with ~2,000 people. I am white. I am a religious
minority (to say the least, especially up here). Per capita gun
ownership here is among the highest in the nation. Anyone might have one
or several weapons in their vehicle of ANY SORT. The ‘AR-15′ is the
NUMBER ONE hunting rifle. High capacity clips are widely available. The
officer got out, told me to stay in the car, ran the plate, and my
license and told me, ‘go get your your sticker’, then walked around the
truck to make sure there were no obvious issues which meant I was really
avoiding inspection. I pulled over. I didn’t get out of the vehicle. It
took 3 minutes. We laughed.
Once the officer established who I was, the incident became NOTHING.
last 2 incidents involving the deaths of men being questioned/stopped
by cops should be vigorously investigated. COLOR BLIND.
That’s all there is.
larger question of the perceptions of the black community, frankly, is
best answered by black folks TAKING PART in their own self government
where they live. Protests are the short lived orgasms of getting riled
up. Be the governance you want.
The Sad Legacy of Barack Obama is encapsulated by the New Black Panthers
I won’t go into the sad litany of chances Barack
Obama had in 8 years to lead races to a single point, or the chance he
had to do it as the first President who happened to be not blanco. We
all know the list.
I don’t know what was/is in his heart that
drives hm to divide rather than unify. I don’t even know if he
acknowledges that we have be DRIVEN apart from each other.
But I do know that we are further apart.
know that there is more hate and fear, anger and disillusionment and
what is going on with the police in the USA is simply the expression
Black Lives Matter
Not, equal opportunity for all
Not, all lives matter
amid the questions, and perceptions in the black community (and if they
think they are alone in asking questions, THEY ARE WRONG) that they are
singled out for repression and thought of as less than white (or
latino, asian and ??), by cops who are white, black, asian, latino,
sikh, and god knows what else there are certain facts.
president, OUR president could have begun this era with proof he was
color blind over a small but telling case in Phila when the New Black
Panthers showed up with ‘police’ batons at voting booths the DAY of the
2008 election in an OBVIOUS attempt to intimidate voters.
He and his attorney general refused this chance.
now 8 years later, we have the Dallas terrorist(s?), a member of the
New Black Panthers expressing his hate for white people in this nation
and especially white cops (as he shot whites, black and
latinos..naturally) and mentioning Black Lives Matter (who are as
responsible as Richard Butler was for Victoria and Jason Keenan. Purposeful incitement has consequence)
But the sad bookends now, of the lost UNIQUE chance this UNIQUE President (only one first) had are now history, and historic.
The Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and other Islamic supremacist groups have assiduously courted Black Lives Matter, and linked their propaganda efforts against “Islamophobia” to the Black Lives Matter stand against perceived racism.
In Dallas last night, we see where this is tending: as Kyle Shideler notes in the March article below, “At the event, MAS leader Khalilah Sabra openly discussed the importance of Muslim support for Black Lives Matter, and urged ‘revolution.’
Comparing the situation in the United States to the Muslim Brotherhood-led Arab Spring revolutions, she asked, ‘We are the community that staged a revolution across the world; if we can do that, why can’t we have that revolution in America?’”
And with the mass murder of police in Dallas last night, we’re getting there.
The Nation of Islam is not an orthodox Muslim group, and subscribes to a great deal of racial mythology that is nowhere in Islamic tradition. It is, however, also true that many black Americans first enter the Nation, and then become orthodox Sunni Muslims. And given the increased racial tensions of the Obama era, many people in both the NOI and among mainstream Sunnis have a taste for the “revolution” that is brought about by means of jihad.
Heavily armed snipers killed five police and transit officers in downtown Dallas and wounded seven more, in a premeditated and triangulated “ambush-style” assault during a rally protesting against the killing of black men after two shootings this week….
As the FBI and local authorities launched an investigation, their focus was expected to probe militant black rights groups set up in Dallas.
Anti-police groups include the New Black Panther Party and Huey P. Newton Gun Club, named after the founder of the 1960s activist Black Panther Party.
The Huey P. Newton Gun Club includes a coalition of BARC (Blacks Against Racist Cops) and other African-American groups, who agitate against police brutality.
The group attended the Nation of Islam’s Muhammad mosque in Dallas in April to monitor protests by an anti-Islamic group, the Bureau of American Islamic Relations. Both sides were armed, and moved on by police….
Dear Liberal Progressives, For years now we have listened to you warn about the rise of militias. Warn about potential domestic home grown terrorism. Warn about how the most likely will come from a militia type person. Someone or ones with military or paramilitary training. How we should be on watch for these types of people. See something say something. About how race or racism is likely to be involved. Seems last night you were right. Congratulations. How'd you miss this one? Too soon for this type of editorial? Too fucking bad. It's too late for 11 cops and their families.
Compare and contrast the above condemnation with his condemnation of Police for the Alton Sterling shooting, where he went into great detail, speaking extemporaneously, with great passion, gesturing for emphasis, seemingly holding back tears at times (3:08, 3:25, 3:32, "... and that hurts... and that should trouble all of us... this is an American issue that we should ALL care about, all fair-minded people ..."... etc. ) .
Note that, at the 6:33 mark, Obama declares:
"... the police offers who are doing their jobs without regard to race, that they encourage their leadership, and organizations that represent them, to get behind these recommendations, because ultimately, if you can rebuild trust between communities and the Police Departments that serve them, that will make life easier for Police Officers, they will have more cooperation, they will be safer, they will be more likely to come home ..."
Here's my question: Does it sound like Obama is making a threat?
1:40 a.m. Oh for Pete's sake now DPD Chief Brown says they are negotiating and exchanging gunfire (that's some one way negotiating) with a suspect in the parking garage who claims there are bombs in the garage. He also says they are not comfortable/sure that they have all the suspects in custody/in negotiation. A fourth police officer has died of his wounds.. 1:10 a.m. DPD state 2 suspects in custody, both alive, threat to public is over. Update at 12:10 a.m. News conference with DPD Chief: 11 officers shot, 3 of them are dead including 1 DART officer. 1 civilian injured but no details on that. DPD has reason to believe the suspects have planted a bomb in the area have called on FBI & ATF to help look for it. 1 suspect is "cornered" no info on where the other may be. It is clear the police were strategically targeted and ambushed.
Update:: Local Fox news reporting 3 officers dead, 2 in surgery, 3 more gravely injured. Not clear what the mix of regular Dallas police vs DART (Dallas Area Regional Transport) but 10 cops targeted by 2 (known) snipers (their words).
The way the tv news is reporting it it sounds as if there are several shooters acting almost as snipers at a peaceful protest over recent police shootings.
No one arrested or stopped yet this is still an active situation.
Fox TV is reporting variously 1 may be subdued, one may still be active, they were in camo and ski masks. TV reporting is 3 to 6 officers have been shot, some gravely.
This is al still very early reporting.
Fox: At least two police officers reportedly shot during Dallas protest
DEVELOPING: At least two police officers were shot Thursday night in downtown Dallas during a protest over the recent fatal shootings of African Americans by police. Fox News' Dallas affiliate KDFW-Fox4, citing a uniformed officer, reported that the officers were shot, but their conditions were unknown.
Fox4 is reporting that a suspect is down and a second possible suspect — wearing what appeared to be a bullet-proof and tactical gear — may be in a nearby parking garage, but that report was not confirmed.
Fox4 also was reporting that as many as six officers were wounded in the shooting, but that, too, was not confirmed.
Fox4 cameras captured protesters running away from the scene of the shooting shortly before 9 p.m. local time. A cameraman approached the scene and captured officers apparently lying on the ground
A Fox4 reporter said he heard approximately 10 gunshots downtown. That reporter was told by an officer police were searching for someone with a rifle.
The status of the shooter was not immediately clear. Aerial images showed officers appearing to focus their search on a parking garage.
Witness Carlos Harris told the Dallas Morning News the gunfire was "strategic. It was tap-tap-pause. Tap-tap-pause."
Michael Batista told KDFW the protest march had been "very peaceful" before the shooting started.
The State Department is re-opening an internal investigation into whether Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and her top aides mishandled classified information, Fox News confirmed late Thursday.
The investigation, which was first reported by the Associated Press, focuses on how classified emails to and from Clinton’s private server were categorized at the time they were sent.
The State Department started its review in January after declaring 22 emails from Clinton’s private server to be “top secret.”
The investigation was halted after the FBI began investigating Clinton’s so-called “homebrew” email setup last April.
On Wednesday, Attorney General Loretta Lynch said there would be no indictments resulting from the FBI probe.
“Given the Department of Justice has now made its announcement, the State Department intends to conduct its internal review,” State Department spokesman John Kirby said in a statement.
“Our goal will be to be as transparent as possible about our results, while complying with our various legal obligations.”
Kirby set no deadline for the investigation’s completion.
Ok Infidels, the piece below is fromCounter Jihad. The video I found on their YouTube Channel. I don't know how many times it has (if at all) been removed by YouTube -- they claim it was pulled July 5 but the video says it was uploaded June 29 2016. Let's see if YouTube, or Google for that matter, take it down.
CENSORED: YouTube Uses Anti-ISIS Policy to Pull CounterJihad Video. Watch it here.
A "hate speech" policy developed to counter the Islamic State's murderous propaganda is now being used to silence critics of radical Islamic terror.
On Thursday of last week, this site published a video on its YouTube channel. As of yesterday, YouTube has pulled that video declaring it a violation of its “hate speech” policy. The irony is that the video was appreciated by Muslim reformers such as CounterJihad’s own Shireen Qudosi, who pointed out that to reformers like her it was actually helpful speech.
We spoke with Jim Hanson, Executive Vice President of the Center for Security Policy and the official in charge of the video’s production. “I am stunned,” he said, “that the policy that YouTube developed for the express purpose of fighting Islamic State propaganda is now being used to silence critics of radical jihad.” He pointed out that this means that supporters of groups like the Islamic State (ISIS) have managed to turn YouTube’s own policies against it. “Instead of counteracting radical propaganda online,” Hanson said, “these policies are now being used to silence the very speech that YouTube said it wanted — speech that challenges ISIS.”
Hanson appears to be correct that YouTube initially developed its policies with countering ISIS in mind. In an article in the Huffington Post, Jaweed Kaleem interviewed a number of content producers that YouTube had specifically contacted in order to generate content that would overwhelm ISIS with alternative viewpoints. “The words “Islamic State” appeared nowhere in the note asking Muslims like Ali to ‘change the discourse,’ but the message was clear. The terrorist organization’s vast media arm, with its slick recruitment videos, was winning the propaganda war.”
YouTube solicited this kind of content, from Muslims like our Shireen Qudosi, for the express purpose of contesting its space with ISIS propagandists. Somehow, its own policies have been turned against it. “YouTube’s removal of CounterJihad’s factual analysis of the threat of ISIS and radical Islam is a devastating blow against credible counter-terrorism efforts,” Qudosi said. “No company or individual can legitimately say they support free speech and at the same time set up blockades against the very people doing the work necessary to counter the ideology. There is no other way to look at this.”
The text of the video is posted below.
Terrorism seems to be everywhere, and it’s getting worse. The bad guys have lots of names—ISIS, al Qaeda, Boko Haram—but they have one thing in common. They are all killing for a cause: Islamic Law known as Sharia.
Sharia is a return to medieval Islam. Sharia demands a Holy War called Jihad. The most widely available book of Islamic Law in English says: “Jihad means to war against non-Muslims.”
There are two kinds of Jihad. Violent Jihad is horribly simple, slaughtering innocents and forcing submission. Violent Jihadists want to conquer land for their Caliphate – essentially an Islamic State where Sharia Law is supreme.
But there is another kind of Jihad. In their Explanatory Memorandum, the Muslim Brotherhood, calls this, “civilization jihad,” saying, “The [Muslim Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers…”
Civilization Jihad has the same goal as the Violent Jihad—to conquer land for their Caliphate—but instead of waging war or staging terror attacks like their brothers in the violent jihad, these Civilization Jihadists wear suits and ties, and their work is much more subtle.
So what do they do? They file lawsuits for Muslim truck drivers who don’t want to drive beer. They convince schools to hold Muslim Day, where the girls wear head scarves and the kids say Muslim prayers. They complain when our government watches to see if their violent buddies are hanging out with them.
They call anyone critical of Islamic Law an “Islamophobe,” a term they invented to make people scared to speak out—like the neighbors of the terrorists in San Bernardino who knew something was wrong, but didn’t want to say anything because they’d be accused of profiling.
These bad guys have lots of names, too: the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR); the Muslim Student Association (MSA); Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). The Justice Department found that these groups were, in fact, started by the Muslim Brotherhood.
These groups like to say that terrorism has no religion, but only Islam has Sharia and Jihad.
Not all Muslims practice Sharia or support it, but an awful lot do. They believe that anyone who insults Islam can be killed; they believe that women are property; that gaysshould be killed; and that little girls should be mutilated and forced to marry old men they’ve never men. These things are simply not allowed in our free society and are against the Constitution.
There are plenty of Modern Muslims who want to “live and let live,” but unfortunately the groups that speak most often for the Muslim community follow the medieval version based on Sharia.
They are working to make the US more like the Caliphate. They have to go.
decorated U.S. Marine who is being discharged for sending classified
information on his personal e-mail account plans to cite the Hillary
Clinton precedent set by FBI director James Comey in his upcoming
defense, his lawyer said on Thursday.
Marine Reserves Major Jason Brezler
sent an email from his personal account to a base in Afghanistan
warning that a dangerous Afghan individual had been allowed onto the
facility. His warning was ignored and soldiers died as a result.
Hillary Clinton sent or received over 100 emails with classified information, including several emails marked as classified.
Comey found all the elements of the crime of mis-handling classified
information, as defined by statute, he said that there was insufficient
evidence of intent to prosecute Clinton, referring to the Department of
Justice’s policy in such cases.
Now, Brezler’s lawyers are planning to use that precedent to defend their client.
According to the Washington Post:
attorney for Brezler, Michael J. Bowe, said that he intends to cite the
treatment of Clinton “as one of the many, and most egregious examples”
of how severely Brezler was punished. FBI Director James B. Comey
announced Tuesday that he would not recommend the U.S. government pursue
federal charges against Clinton, but he rebuked her “extremely
careless” use of a private, unclassified email server while serving as
secretary of state. The FBI found that 110 of her emails contained
Bowe said it is impossible to reconcile
President Obama’s statement that Clinton’s intentional act of setting up
a secret, unsecured email server did not detract “from her excellent
ability to carry out her duties” while Brezler received a “completely
opposite finding… involving infinitely less sensitive and limited
Donald Trump Retains Lead Over Hillary Clinton in Latest National Poll
The presidential race has grown a bit tighter in this week’s White House Watch survey.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds Donald Trump with 42% of the vote, while Hillary Clinton earns 40%.
Thirteen percent (13%) still like another candidate, and five percent (5%) are undecided.
This survey was taken Tuesday evening following FBI Director James Comey’s announcement that his agency would not seek any indictments of Clinton despite her “extremely careless” handling of classified information while serving as secretary of State. Most voters disagree with Comey’s decision.
Migrant Rapists Were Wearing “Do Not Grope” Bands As They Assaulted Women at Swedish Music Festival
Lisen Andréasson Florman
From the Daily Mail:
Five women say they were raped at Sweden’s biggest music festival – on the same weekend as a mob of ‘foreign youths’ sexually assaulted 35 females, one as young as 12 at another concert.
Alleged victims at the Bråvalla music festival told police groups of men attacked them while others complained that they were filmed while using the toilets.
Two teenage girls said a man carried out a sex act in front of them.
An anti-rape activist said she was even sexually assaulted by three men who were wearing ‘don’t grope’ wristbands distributed by police in an effort to reduce such attacks.
Bravely waiving her right to anonymity, Lisen Andréasson Florman relived her ordeal – telling MailOnline: ‘I was standing at the back of the audience during a concert after dark.
‘My colleagues was a bit further away from me when three tall men came up to me. I am quite used to drunk men coming up and talking to me, but these guys were more unpleasant.
‘They were much taller than me and started hugging me even though I did not want them to. Then they started grabbing my breasts very roughly.
‘I felt so small and vulnerable. It was as though I sank down in to the ground. Like there was nothing I could do and I was in their possession. I had felt safe, proud and strong up until that moment, but now it was all gone.
The American Church Needs to Get Serious about Religious Liberty, Now
From David French:
If Evangelicals don’t act now, they will lose their freedoms. America’s Evangelicals are passive, timid, and afraid to defend their own liberties. Doubt me?
Let’s consider a counterfactual. Imagine for a moment that a racist state legislature passed a bill designed to financially cripple historically black colleges. Claiming the need to protect the public from “racial discrimination,” state senators proposed a bill that could deny any and all state funds (including student financial aid) to any university that deviated excessively from the demographic makeup of the state.
Compounding the crisis, the racist legislature believed a racist judiciary would uphold the law, giving black colleges a choice — get whiter or close their doors.
Does any rational person believe that the black community or the Left more broadly would simply acquiesce?
That they’d delegate the fight to outside law firms and a few sympathetic politicians, or that they’d wring their hands over the decline of the culture rather than taking direct action? No, they would shut down the state capital with protests. They would stage sit-ins. They would bus in protesters from elsewhere in the state and around the country. They would picket legislators’ homes. They would picket the governor’s mansion. And they would not stop until they won.
I thought of this as I read the scant news coverage of California’s intentionally anti-Christian SB-1146, a bill that requires Christian schools to disclose if they are seeking traditional religious exemptions from anti-discrimination laws, and strips public funding from any school that imposes traditional Christian rules of morality and conduct on matters of sexual orientation and gender identity. Only schools that train pastors are exempt. The message is clear: Conform or close.
The traditional response to odious bills such as this is to call or write your legislator, and, if that fails, file a lawsuit. In the meantime, while the lawsuit proceeds, only a minority of church-going Evangelicals will be aware of the controversy, and a small minority of that minority will fervently believe that Christians had it coming, because the church is just as bigoted and nasty as its worst critics say it is.
Given the inherent weaknesses of this model, it’s a miracle that it’s worked at all. But thanks to the First Amendment, a bipartisan judicial consensus that outright viewpoint discrimination was unlawful, and extraordinarily diligent legal efforts from a relatively small cohort of dedicated lawyers, a fractious and squabbling church has generally sailed through the culture war with its fundamental freedoms intact. It has lost on the margins, but its core liberties have survived. It can no longer take this reality for granted.
The sexual revolution marches on, and the courts have broadcast their intentions. When First Amendment freedoms conflict with “sexual liberty,” sex now tends to win. And when it loses, the margin is razor-thin.
This is exactly the time when the Evangelical church needs to lay down a marker, to signal that it will not go quietly. But to do that it needs to do something that it rarely does: ask its members to take a stand. Oh, the church is good at asking them to do things that the world likes, such as volunteering at homeless shelters or digging wells in poor villages overseas. It’s good at helping repair broken homes and broken lives. It’s decent at transmitting the truths of the faith to the next generation. It’s terrible, however, at defending its own essential liberties.
Watching Trump since clinch..conclusion-LET TRUMP BE TRUMP
Donald Trump, if you have watched what has gone on since he became
the 1237 winner, has attempted in SOME FASHION to mollify the R party
and GOPe enough to get them behind him.
But he can’t do it.
you watch Paul Ryan, and then observe a Mitch McConnell who was
apparently taken by Pinochet Regime to the netherworld, if you see the
grudging and pro forma ‘support’ appear and wane, the unending
‘correctness and conscience’ of the free trade conservatives, including
both those who believe in a muscular foreign policy, or really wish they
were baseball writers, and see even Charlie Krauthammer who just is
UNABLE to bring himself around enough, and then observe that no matter
HOW HARD HE TRIES, Trump HAS GOT to have his hands on and make the
mistakes being the guy who makes the decisions makes …
Trump tries to go the R(omney) Republican way a woman who truly in her
heart thinks herself ABOVE THE LAW will follow a fool who always truly
believed himself the smartest man in the room as president.
And we may NEVER recover, economically
And we may NEVER recover, in FP
And we may NEVER recover, in illegal immigration
And we may NEVER recover.
No one could have guessed that in 121 BC when Gaius Gracchus was forced to kill himself it was the moment the Republic of Rome crossed over into death. She has to suffer Marius, Sulla, a civil war, Saturninus, Catalinus, Pompey, Crassus a civil war and finally Caesar and Antony then another civil war. But there was no way back after that.
Donald Trump is not the man who is for DISRUPTION of the political
class .. who DO NOT (thanks VDH) wait in line in the ER when the blood
is flowing, he will lose this election and lose it DRAMATICALLY
He may lose it anyway, but any other path than this is a GUARANTEED LOSS
These are my observations. They may NOT be my personal preference as to his actions.
Hillary runs an information cartel out of her home.
She escapes the penitentiary as easily as El Chapo.
Of course, El Chapo, had a little help on the inside.
But the information cartel which Ms. Clinton ran out of her home is far more damaging to U.S. strategic interests than the drugs which El Chapo’s cartel peddles on the streets of America.
Somali Muslims March Through Upscale MN Town – Threaten to Rape Homeowner
A mob of up to 30 young Somali men paraded through one of Minneapolis’ more upscale neighborhoods last week, yelling disparaging comments and threats against homeowners.
A female resident of the neighborhood, obviously shaken in a TV interview, related how she was screamed at by a Somali man who threatened to kidnap and rape her.
“They were screaming at the house that they were going to kidnap you and they were going to rape you,” one Minneapolis resident told KSTP TV. “It was a very traumatizing experience.”
Somalis living in Minneapolis are almost all Sunni Muslims, and residents of the Lake Calhoun area say this isn’t the first time a group of Somali men has made an intimidating march through their neighborhood, which is filled with million-dollar homes.
No hate-crime charges are apparently being considered by either the Minnesota authorities or the Obama Justice Department headed by Loretta Lynch.
Police were called to the scene on June 28 about 9:30 a.m. and are investigating the incident as a potential case of terroristic threats. No arrests have been made, and the Minneapolis media appear to be largely uninterested in reporting on the mob threats.
According to a Minneapolis police report, between 20 and 30 young Somali men showed up in front of a woman’s house about 9:30 in the morning and started shouting insults. “The comments turned to threats,” the report said.
JULY 5--The Democratic Party’s plan to crash this month’s Republican National Convention is heavy on gimmicks and stunts meant to highlight a possible “Trumpocalypse,” as well as to ridicule the presumptive GOP candidate’s purported spray tan, tiny fingers, and dog whistle proclivities.
The Democratic National Committee’s “Counter Convention Plan Sketch” covers 22 pages and outlines the party’s activities in Cleveland, where the Republican convention begins July 18. Democratic operatives will launch their operation a week earlier, on July 11, to coincide with the opening of the RNC’s summer meeting.
A copy of the plan was obtained by the hacker “Guccifer 2.0,” who breached party servers and made off with DNC financial records, e-mails, research reports, and other documents. In e-mails to TSG, “Guccifer 2.0” has claimed to be a Romanian “hacktivist,” though security researchers who have examined the DNC breach have said that the infiltration appears to be the work of a Russian espionage unit.
The DNC plan notes that the party’s efforts in Cleveland will cost in excess of $800,000. In addition to 16 staffers on the ground, the party will have numerous surrogates available for media interviews and an RV to “serve as a mobile billboard” and green room.
Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein and other MKs called for the government to recognize the Armenian Genocide Tuesday, despite recently signing an agreement improving relations with Turkey.
“We cannot ignore, dwarf or deny this terrible genocide,” Edelstein stated. “We must disconnect current interests of this time and place from the difficult past.”
Edelstein quoted Nobel Prize-winning author, philosopher and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel, who died on Saturday, as saying apathy to suffering helps the enemy.
“We cannot remain apathetic, even if it’s late, to the suffering the Armenians experienced. Recognizing the Armenian genocide is important to us as human beings who carry the moral responsibility and constantly hope to improve the world and society,” Edelstein stated.
One more reason why the ill-advised agreement with Turkey was a bad mistake. It complicates matters even further.

Peak FBI Corruption? Meet Bryan Nishimura, Found Guilty For "Removal And Retention Of Classified Materials"
In a scandalous announcement, FBI director James Comey moments ago said that "although there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information"and he gave extensive evidence of just that,"our judgment is thatno reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case."He added that "prosecutors necessarily weigh a number of factors before bringing charges. There are obvious considerations, like the strength of the evidence, especially regarding intent. Responsible decisions also consider the context of a person’s actions, and how similar situations have been handled in the past."
Whoever, being entrusted with or having lawful possession or control of any document, writing, code book, signal book, sketch, photograph, photographic negative, blueprint, plan, map, model, instrument, appliance, note, or information, relating to the national defense, (1) through gross negligence permits the same to be removed from its proper place of custody or delivered to anyone in violation of his trust, or to be lost, stolen, abstracted, or destroyed, or (2) having knowledge that the same has been illegally removed from its proper place of custody or delivered to anyone in violation of its trust, or lost, or stolen, abstracted, or destroyed, and fails to make prompt report of such loss, theft, abstraction, or destruction to his superior officer— Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.
What is even more shocking is that according to Comey, "we cannot find a case that would support bringing criminal charges on these facts."
U.S. Magistrate Judge Kendall J. Newman immediately sentenced Nishimura to two years of probation, a $7,500 fine, and forfeiture of personal media containing classified materials. Nishimura was further ordered to surrender any currently held security clearance and to never again seek such a clearance.
According to court documents, Nishimura was a Naval reservist deployed in Afghanistan in 2007 and 2008. In his role as a Regional Engineer for the U.S. military in Afghanistan, Nishimura had access to classified briefings and digital records that could only be retained and viewed on authorized government computers.Nishimura, however, caused the materials to be downloaded and stored on his personal, unclassified electronic devices and storage media. He carried such classified materials on his unauthorized media when he traveled off-base in Afghanistan and, ultimately, carried those materials back to the United States at the end of his deployment. In the United States, Nishimura continued to maintain the information on unclassified systems in unauthorized locations, and copied the materials onto at least one additional unauthorized and unclassified system.
Nishimura’s actions came to light in early 2012, when he admitted to Naval personnel that he had handled classified materials inappropriately.Nishimura later admitted that, following his statement to Naval personnel, he destroyed a large quantity of classified materials he had maintained in his home. Despite that, when the Federal Bureau of Investigation searched Nishimura’s home in May 2012, agents recovered numerous classified materials in digital and hard copy forms. The investigation did not reveal evidence that Nishimura intended to distribute classified information to unauthorized personnel.
The government/media power elite are spectacularly ignorant of the American people
From Victor Davis Hanson (Fuck NRO - No Link for them):
In Merced or Dayton, if an insurance agent, eager to help his wife facing indictment, barged into a restaurant where the local DA is known to lunch, he would almost certainly be told to get the hell out.
But among the Washington elite, the scenario is apparently quite different. The two parties, in supposedly serendipitous fashion, just happen to touch down at the same time on the Phoenix corporate tarmac, with their private planes pulling up nose to nose. Then the attorney general of the United States and her husband, in secrecy enforced by federal security details, welcome the ex-president onto her government plane.
Afterward, and only when caught, the prosecutor and the husband of the person under investigation assure the world that they talked about everything except Hillary Clinton’s possible indictment, Loretta Lynch’s past appointment by Bill Clinton and likely judicial future, or the general quandary of 2016.
There has been a lot of talk since Brexit and the rise of Donald Trump of the corrosive power and influence of the “elite” and the “establishment.” But to quote Butch Cassidy to the Sundance Kid, “Who are those guys?”
In the case of the ancient Romans or of the traditional British ruling classes, land, birth, education, money, government service, and cultural notoriety were among the ingredients that made one an establishmentarian. But our modern American elite is a bit different. Residence, either in the Boston–Washington, D.C., or the San Francisco–Los Angeles corridor, often is a requisite.
Celebrity and public exposure count — e.g., access to traditional television outlets (as opposed to hoi polloi Internet blogging). So does education — again, most often a coastal-corridor thing: Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Berkeley, Stanford, etc. Net worth, whether made or inherited, helps.
But lots of billionaires, especially Midwestern sorts, are not part of the elite, in that their money does not necessarily translate into much political or cultural influence — or influence of the right sort. (Exceptions are Chicago traders who bundle millions for Hillary.)
Especially influential are the revolving-door multimillionaires, especially from big banks and Wall Street — the Tim Geithners, Jack Lews, Hank Paulsons, and Robert Rubins, but also the lesser flunkies of the Freddie/Fannie Clintonite crowd, a Franklin Raines (raking in $90 million) or a Jamie Gorelick ($26 million), all of whom came into the White House and its bureaucracies to get rich, but who always seem shocked when the public does not like their incestuous trails of bailouts, relief plans, favorable regulations, etc.
Creepy too are the satellite grifters like “investment banker” Rahm Emanuel — who somehow, between the White House and the House of Representatives, made off with $16 million for his financial “expertise” — or Chelsea Clinton, who made her fortune ($15 million?) largely by being a “consultant” for a Wall Street investment group (her fluff job at NBC News was small potatoes in comparison).
The locus classicus, of course, is the Clinton power marriage itself, which invested nearly 40 years of public service in what proved to be a gargantuan pay-for-play payoff, when they parlayed Hillary’s political trajectories into a personal fortune of well over $100 million.
Give them credit: From the early days, when they would write off as IRS deductions gifts of their used underwear, they ended up 30 years later getting paid $10,000 to $60,000 a minute for their Wall Street riffs.
The nexus between Big Government, Big Money, Big Influence, and Big Media is sometimes empowered by familial journalistic continuity (e.g., John Dickerson, son of Nancy Dickerson) or a second generation of fashion/glitz and media (Gloria Vanderbilt and Anderson Cooper), but again is increasingly expressed in the corridor “power couple,” the sorts who receive sycophantic adulation in New York and Washington monthly magazines.
The Andrea Mitchell/Alan Greenspan power marriage was hailed as a threefer of media, government, and money. What was so strange, however, was just how often wrong were Mitchell in her amateurishly politicized rants and Greenspan in his cryptic Delphic prophecies — and always in areas of their supposedly greatest expertise.
Take also the Obama Cabinet. When we wonder how Susan Rice could go on television on five occasions in a single day to deceive about Benghazi; or John Kerry — in the middle of a war whose results Obama would come to call a “stable” and “self-reliant” democratic Iraq — could warn American youth that the punishment for poor school performance was “to get stuck in Iraq”; or Jay Carney (now senior vice president of global corporate affairs at Amazon) and Josh Earnest could both repeatedly mislead the country on Benghazi, the reason may be not just that they felt their influence, status, and privilege meant they were rarely responsible for the real-world consequences of their own rhetoric, but that they had forgotten entirely the nature of middle-class America, or never really knew it at all.
I get the impression that members of the D.C. elite do not wait in line with a sick kid in the emergency room on a Saturday night, when the blood flows and the supporters of rival gangs have to be separated in the waiting room; or that they find dirty diapers, car seats, and dead dogs tossed on their lawns, or wait two hours at the DMV, or are told that their journalistic assignment was outsourced to India, or read public-school teachers’ comments on their kids’ papers that were ungrammatical and misspelled to the point of being incomprehensible.
The elite seems to be ignorant that, about 1975, Bedford Falls flyover country started to become Pottersville.
In forming perceptions about Benghazi, the Iran deal, globalization, or illegal immigration, it is sometimes hard to know who is making policy and who is reporting and analyzing such formulations — or whether they are one and the same. National Security Advisor Susan Rice is married to former ABC television producer Ian Cameron.
Ben Rhodes, who drew up the talking-points deceptions about Benghazi and seemed to boast of deceiving the public about the Iran deal, is the brother of CBS News president David Rhodes.
Will 60 Minutes do one of its signature hit pieces on Ben Rhodes?
Secretary of State John Kerry — who famously docks his yacht in Rhode Island in order to avoid paying Massachusetts taxes on it — is married to Teresa Heinz, the billionaire widow of the late senator and catsup heir John Heinz.
Former Obama press secretary Jay Carney married Claire Shipman, senior national correspondent for ABC’s Good Morning America; his successor, Josh Earnest, married Natalie Wyeth, a veteran of the Treasury Department.
Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton’s “body woman,” is married to creepy sexter Anthony Weiner; perhaps she was mesmerized by his stellar political career, his feminist credentials, and his tolerant approach to deviancy?
And on and on it goes.
These Christiane Amanpour/Jamie Rosen or Samantha Power/Cass Sunstein types of connections could be explored to the nth degree, especially their moth-to-the-flame progressive fixations with maximizing privilege, power, and class.
But my purpose is not to suggest some conspiratorial cabal of D.C. and New York insiders, only to note that an increasing number of government and media elites are so entangled with each other, leveraging lucrative careers in politics, finance, and the media, and doubling their influence through marriage, that they have scant knowledge of and less concern for the clingers who live well beyond their coastal-corridor moats.
And so when reality proves their preconceptions wrong — from Benghazi to Brexit — they have only outrage and disdain to fall back on. Sometimes their smug isolation is the stuff of caricature. Mark Zuckerberg waxes poetically on about the illiberality of building border walls (e.g., “I hear fearful voices calling for building walls and distancing people they label as others”), but he is now simultaneously involved in three controversies involving either hyper-private security patrols or walls or both as he seeks to use his fortune to create Maginot Lines around his Palo Alto, San Francisco, and Hawaii properties to keep the wrong sort of people quite distant.
I should end by returning to Hillary Clinton, whose insider arc from the cattle-futures con to quarter-million-dollar Wall Street chats to the e-mail scandal shares the common and persistent theme of influence peddling, greed, and lying, while she lectures Americans about the need for trust, fairness, and transparency.
Or perhaps I should finish with Chelsea, a chip off the old blockess, who became instantly rich as she decried the culture’s overemphasis on wealth, and whose husband’s hedge fund is tottering, after disastrously investing in Greek bailout bonds — at a time when his mother-in-law and Sidney Blumenthal were exchanging classified speculations over whether German banks would guarantee Greek debt and hence investors’ money.
But I conclude on a much more sober, judicious, and appropriately unimpeachable D.C. figure, the rightly revered Thomas Pickering, career diplomat, bipartisan Council on Foreign Relation fixture, co-chairman of blue-ribbon investigative committees, and perhaps heir to the itinerant fixers of a bygone age, such as Sumner Welles, John McCloy, and Clark Clifford.
Pickering — multilingual, veteran of hazardous diplomatic posts, confidant to presidents of both parties, and octogenarian “wise man” — was asked by the State Department to conduct its internal investigation of the Benghazi debacle, as chairman of the Benghazi Accountability Review Board. Four of the five members of this board, including Pickering, were apparently recommended by Hillary Clinton’s own State Department team in good Quis custodiet custodes? style.
No one would dare suggest that Pickering, appointed as an undersecretary of state and an ambassador by Bill Clinton, and a well-known Clinton friend, might have various conflicts of interest in investigating fully the allegations that Hillary Clinton refused to beef up security at the consulate in Benghazi, or falsely claimed in public that the loss of four Americans was the result of an inflammatory video, just hours after she confided in e-mail communications that it was a preplanned al-Qaeda attack.
Instead, Pickering decided that Clinton would never appear before his committee and declared that he was not interested in a gotcha finding; yet somehow Clinton aide Cheryl Mills found a way to review the board’s findings before publication.
In the end, the State Department chastised and put on leave lowly subordinates for seemingly working within the security parameters established by the sacrosanct secretary of state. Nor would anyone suggest that the temperate and esteemed Pickering, as a vice president of Boeing from 2001 to 2006, and then a consultant to Boeing from 2006 to 2015, had any special financial interest in promoting the Clinton, and then the Kerry, outreach to Iran.
Indeed, Pickering testified before Congress and wrote elegant op-eds about why the Iran non-enrichment accord was a good deal — but without ever quite telling the country that a liberated Iran was also considering a $25 billion purchase of aircraft (with potential dual use as military transports) from Boeing — which just happened to be Pickering’s quite generous corporate client.
Is it all that strange that when Washington fixtures write outraged op-eds about the “fascistic” Donald Trump or the “self-harming” Brexit voters, no one seems to listen any more? Does a Hank Paulson — former assistant to John Erhlichman, former CEO of Goldman Sachs (which has given over $800,000 to Hillary’s campaigns as well as $675,000 in speaking fees), former Treasury secretary, and of some $700 million in net worth — ever sense that his assurances that Hillary is presidential and not corrupt are not believable?
Or that the effect of his politicking is analogous to angrily waving a Mexican flag at a Trump rally?
In a sense, these revolving-door apparatchiks and incestuous couples are bullies, who use their megaphones to disparage others who are supposedly blinkered and ignorant to the point of not believing that a videomaker caused the attacks in Libya, not trusting the Iranians, being skeptical about the theory of sanctuary cities, missing the genius of the European Union, not seeing the brilliant logic in allowing in 12 million immigrants from southern Mexico and Central America under unlawful auspices, panicking about $20 trillion in debt, and incapable of appreciating the wonders of outsourcing. In matters of deception, ostentatious vulgarity never proves as injurious as the hubris of the mannered establishment.
So what I resent most about the Washington hollow men is not the sources and methods through which they parlay wealth, power, and influence, or the values they embrace to exercise and perpetuate their privilege and sense of exalted self, but the feigned outrage that they express when anyone dares suggest, by word or vote, that they are mediocrities and ethical adolescents — and really quite emotional, after all.
All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.

IBA Quote of the Week.
"We are looking forward to the day when moderate Muslims will be able to take control of their governments, their educational systems, and their law and order, so the Western world could resume mutual constructive relations based on friendship and respect. The whole world is looking forward to that day and praying for a peaceful Middle East. The ball is now in the Muslim world's court."
-- President Elect Donald J. Trump
"An Islamic regime must be serious in every field," explained Ayatollah Khomeini. "There are no jokes in Islam. There is no humour in Islam. There is no fun in Islam."
"I want to be very, very clear, however: I understand and agree with the analysis of the problem. There is an imminent threat. It manifested itself on 9/11. It's real and grave. It is as serious a threat as Stalinism and National Socialism were. Let's not pretend it isn't." ~~~~~Bono~~~~~
