The practice is outdated. Muslims can look at a device and determine if it is time to pray. In fact, there are devices that give the call to pray.
ReplyDeleteIn the seventh century a stick was put in the ground and the casting of a shadow equal the length of the stick made that determination.
It is a medieval practice based on lack of technology.
I know you know it is not that simple.
