IS BARACK OBAMA JOHN GALT?

In her polemical novel Atlas Shrugged, Ayn Rand imagines a world in which the most productive citizens–business magnates, mostly, creators of wealth and generators of progress–go on strike. Tired of being blamed for the world’s ills by parasitic liberals in the press, academia, popular culture and government, they quit. The result is chaos and disaster. John Galt is the mysterious figure who inspires the revolt of the wealth creators.
On first impression, one would say that Barack (“You didn’t build that”) Obama is the anti-John Galt. A classic demagogue, he is one of the liberal horde who inveigh against the successful while adding insult to injury by soliciting campaign contributions from them.

Gaza: 100,000 children attend radical Hamas summer camps

100,000 children attend radical Hamas summer camps and another 10,000 children, others opened by the Islamic Jihad:
"Hamas continued to gain strength this past summer as about 100,000 youngsters underwent radical anti-Israel indoctrination at dozens of summer camps run by the terrorist group – which also attacked United Nations camps, its main competition – according to a report released on Tuesday by the Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center.
According to the report, more than 100,000 children and teenagers participated in the Hamas camps, which included paramilitary training and military parades. The Islamic Jihad terrorist organization also opened 51 different summer camps for over 10,000 children.

Gaza: Christians issue a call for protection amid burned Bibles and violence

Father Manuel Musallem, head of Gaza's Latin church, told the AP that Muslims have ransacked, burned and looted a school and convent that are part of the Gaza Strip's small Romany Catholic community. He told the AP that crosses were broken, damage was done to a statue of Jesus (*), and at the Rosary Sister School and nearby convent, prayer books were burned.
Gunmen used the roof of the school during the fighting, and the convent was "desecrated," Mussalem told the AP.
"Nothing happens by mistake these days," he said.
Father Musalam additionally told The Jerusalem Post that the Muslim gunmen used rocket-propeled grenades (RPGs) to blow through the doors of the church and school, before burning Bibles and destroying every cross they could get their hands on.
Well, I haven't seen anyone condemning this actual violence like everyone -it seems- (including the Catholic Church, more here) has condemned the announcement of the "Day of Koran burning" (or whatever), have you? From my point of view, the "Day of the Koran burning" is nothing more than a way for Rev. Jones to have some publicity,. The Koran has passages which are most regrettable but burning the book is not going to make them dissappear. If he wants to be effective in these grounds, he should study it and denounce those regrettable parts.

But that doesn't make the double-standards of most journalists and most politicians vanish. On the contrary, they appear much more real. It looks like a book (whatever its contents) is more important than a human being. And that someone threatening to burn a book is much more dangerous that someone who is actually using violent methods (with rocket-propeled grenades included).

(*) Note their deep respect for other people's faith but specially for Jesus, who Muslims say, is also a prophet of Islam. What would happen if in Europe some guys would enter a mosque and burn some Korans?

16 Dead as Israeli Commandos Respond to Attacks Aboard Pro-Hamas Flotilla

The pro-"palestinians" have sprung their trap. IDF commandos boarding ships of the pro-Hamas "aid mission" flotilla were attacked and returned fire. At least 10 "activists" and 4 IDF were killed.

Israel: At Least 10 Killed on Gaza Flotilla

Published May 30, 2010
Associated Press

JERUSALEM (AP) -- Israeli commandos on Monday stormed six ships carrying hundreds of pro-Palestinian activists on an aid mission to the blockaded Gaza Strip, killing at least 10 people and wounding dozens after encountering unexpected resistance as the forces boarded the vessels.

The operation in international waters off the Gaza coast was a nightmare scenario for Israel that looked certain to further damage its international standing, strain already tense relations with Turkey -- the unofficial sponsor of the mission -- and draw unwanted attention to Gaza's plight.

The tough Israeli response drew condemnations from Turkey, France and the U.N.'s Mideast envoy, while Greece suspended a military exercise with Israel and postponed a visit by Israel's air force chief.

About 10,000 Turks also marched from Israel's Consulate in Istanbul toward the city's main square, shouting slogans denouncing Israel. The protesters earlier Monday tried storm the Consulate building but were blocked by police.

The Israeli ambassadors in Sweden, Spain, Denmark and Greece were summoned for meetings, and the French foreign minister called for an investigation. Activists from all of those European countries were on board the flotilla. In neighboring Jordan, hundreds demonstrated in the capital Amman to protest the Israeli action and demand that their government breaks diplomatic relations with the Jewish state.

Read the rest at FOX, it's the lead story. 19 European legislators took part in the flotilla and the Israel-hate is hitting the wind turbines.

Arab boy supposedly killed in Land Day riots turns up alive

Here's something that, unlike the al-Durah hoax, is now being corrected very quickly:
Muhammad Farmawi, a 15-year-old said to have been shot dead by the IDF during Land Day riots in Gaza on Tuesday, was reported on Saturday to be alive and well.

The Palestinian Ma’an news agency said Farmawi’s mother was surprised to find her son alive four days after he was allegedly killed. His death had been confirmed by medical professionals in the Gaza Strip.

The IDF, however, firmly denied allegations that Palestinians had been killed during demonstrations on Land Day, which marks the 34th anniversary of the killing of six Galilee Arabs during protests against land confiscations.

According to the Ma’an report, Farmawi arrived in Gazan Rafah on Friday alive and well. He was discovered to be part of a group of 17 Palestinian youths who were arrested after trying to infiltrate Egypt via smuggling tunnels. Gaza police facilitated the boys’ return to their homes.
There's something mighty confusing here - medical pros "confirmed" his death? Wouldn't there have to be a real stiff in custody to verify this is true or not?

There should also be some criticism here of how these youngsters are endangering themselves all for the sake of nothing but hate. But there isn't.

Goldstone commission conclusions made up in advance

Melanie Phillips writes about the Richard Goldstone commission of the UN, appointed by the alleged Human Rights Council, their umpteenth show-trial set up solely for the purpose of condemning Israel as the villain in Operation Cast Lead in Gaza earlier this year. They're simply not interested in how the Hamas caused chaos with rockets, or is suppressing Gaza with Shari'a law, or anything remotely challenging to investigate. Nor are they interested in the fact that the huge majority of those killed in Gaza were terrorists, and they obviously do not respect international law that recognizes Israel's right to self-defense.

This farce perpetrated by Goldstone and company must be fought as best as possible. The UN has got to be taken to task over their biases and it's got to be shown how they're dominated by leftists. Goldstone was a member of the board of directors of "Human Rights Watch". The "senoir analyst" of HRW is one Marc Garlasco, who's an avid collector of nazi war memorabilia. Hamas Hosts Massive Pedophile Wedding With Little Girls

Mohammed the Prophet married one of his wives, Ayisha, when she was but 6 years old.

The Koran, the Hadith, and the Sunnah all make it clear that Mohammed is the model of a good man, and is to be emulated by all Muslims.

These are the people Israel is supposed to negotiate "peace" with.

From Gateway Pundit:

Hamas held a mass wedding in Gaza this past week with girls ranging in age from 6-10 years old.
450 couples were married at the ceremony.

Al-Qassam had several disturbing photos from the pedophile wedding.

Andreas K. sent this from the German website PI-News:

Pedophile mass-wedding in Gaza

At a mass-wedding last Thursday, which has been organized by Hamas, 450 couples got married in Gaza. Birth-jihad (referring to producing masses of children in order to flood the "enemy" with willing minions) seems to be the favorite weapon of both Fatah and Hamas against Israel. But this time Hamas served this cake with a cherry on top of it.

While the age of the Hamas-grooms ranges from 16 to 36, the age of the "brides" ranges from 6 to 10.

Dream job of the grooms is, of course, "shahid" against the Jews. Martyr. Suicidebomber. The video of this "nightmare wedding" (a pun on the German term for the perfect wedding "Traumhochzeit", dream wedding) can be found here."
The locals dressed the young "brides" for their big day.

(Al-Qassam)
Sick. What a horrible society.
It's a good thing we're sending them money.

UPDATE: Israel Matsav reported on this wedding story and questioned its authenticity.

And, via Jawa Report, Soccer Dad says the little girls shown were probably hired to be there in order to celebrate the weddings.

UPDATE 2: Infidels Are Cool has an update.

If only, but I doubt it

The Weekly Standard discovers Haaretz reporting that:
European diplomatic sources said Thursday that kidnapped Israel Defense Forces soldier Gilad Shalit will be transferred to Egypt in the coming hours or coming days.

This information has yet to be confirmed by Israeli officials.
I'd like to think this were believable, but after countless articles that said virtually the same things, I really doubt this'll happen. The Hamas is the Hamas, and will remain so eternally.

IDF Gaza Response Authorized

Israeli cabinet approves new security measures in light of latest border incidents:

With the US breathing heavily down Israel's neck to ease up on the blockade of the Gaza Strip, the security cabinet convened Wednesday and discussed ways to allow more goods and material into the area without endangering Israel's security.

This discussion was part of a larger conversation on the situation in the Gaza Strip, including the foiled terrorist attack near the Karni crossing earlier this week, and the fate of kidnapped soldier Gilad Schalit.

Following the meeting, a statement was issued that read, "Israel views Hamas responsible for all aggressive actions against Israel coming from the Gaza Strip. The cabinet directed the IDF to respond to all aggressive actions against Israel from Gaza."

Regarding Schalit, the security cabinet - in its first announcement on him since Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu appointed Hagai Hadas two weeks ago as his envoy on the matter - issued a statement saying the "relevant authorities" have been directed to do everything to bring about his release.

Including Schalit in this statement seems a strong signal that negotiations for a prisoner swap, dormant since former premier Ehud Olmert's last ditch effort to hammer out a deal in his final days of office, may once again be in the offing.

Regarding the Gaza border crossings, this - along with the settlement construction and two-state issue - was one of three major sticking points between Israel and the US during Netanyahu's visit to Washington last month. US officials made clear to Netanyahu that they were unhappy with what they considered to be "foot-dragging" on the opening of the crossings into Gaza, and the reconstruction of the area, and wanted to see more movement on the issue.

The issue was also raised by US envoy George Mitchell in his meetings in Jerusalem on Tuesday. The US has made clear it wanted to see more goods and materials allowed into Gaza to enable reconstruction.

Nevertheless, defense officials continue opposing bringing concrete and steel into the Gaza Strip, arguing that it would be used not only to reconstruct buildings, but also to construct arms smuggling tunnels and rebuild Hamas' rocket building capacity.

US, UN and European efforts to put together a mechanism that would enable goods and material into the Gaza Strip without strengthening Hamas have so far been unsuccessful.

Defense Minster Ehud Barak, meanwhile, continues to maintain that there is no humanitarian crisis inside the Gaza Strip. At a cabinet meeting two weeks ago he said that more material was entering Gaza now than was the case during the cease-fire that existed there last year.

Netanyahu said at that meeting that Israel was "continuously asked to make things easier for the population in Gaza, to let in materials and equipment, but we have security interests there." He said that a balance needed to be found between "making things easier for the population and making it harder for Hamas to gain more weapons."

That sentiment was reflected in the statement issued after Wednesday's meeting. "The security cabinet," the statement read, "was studying additional ways to make things easier for the Palestinian population inside the Gaza Strip, while maintaining Israel's security interests.

Turkey: "Global jihad against Israel", the slogan of a conference during the "Global Anti-Agression Campaign"

From BBC:

At a weekend meeting in Istanbul, 200 religious scholars and clerics met senior Hamas officials to plot a new jihad centred on Gaza.

The BBC's Bill Law was the only Western journalist at the meeting.

In a hall crowded with conservative Sunni Muslim sheikhs and scholars, in a hotel close to Istanbul's Ataturk Airport speaker after speaker called for jihad against Israel in support of Hamas.

The choice of Turkey was significant. Arab hardliners were keen to put aside historic differences with the Turks.

As one organiser put it: "During the past 100 years relations have been strained but Palestine has brought us together."

Many delegates spoke appreciatively of the protest by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who stormed out of a Davos debate on Gaza two weeks ago.

Mohsen al-Awajy

Gaza gives us power, it solves our differences... Palestine is a legitimate theatre of operations for jihad

Mohsen al-Awajy, Saudi religious scholar

The conference, dubbed the Global Anti-Aggression Campaign, also gave impetus to Sunni clerics concerned about the growing power of Hezbollah, the Shia movement backed by Iran, which rose to international prominence in its own war with Israel in 2006.

Well, we'll have to thank they are from tha "Anti Agression Campaign". Just imagine what theirplans would be if they were from an "Agression Campaign".

Synagogue Desecrated in Venezuela

Watch silent video: Cameras capture the extent of the damage to the ransacked synagogue in Venezuela >>>

BBC: An armed gang has ransacked the oldest Jewish synagogue in the Venezuelan capital Caracas after occupying the building for several hours.

About 15 unidentified men broke into the building before daubing graffiti on the walls and desecrating scriptures.

They also called for Jewish people to be expelled from the country.

Jewish leaders say tensions have risen since Venezuela broke diplomatic relations with Israel this month over its recent military offensive in Gaza.

Elias Farache, president of Venezuela's Jewish Association, said the gang had tied and gagged security guards before destroying offices and the place where holy books were kept.

Anti-Semitic and anti-Israeli slogans were painted on the walls.

"Never in the history of Venezuela's Jewish community have we been the target of such an aggression," said Mr Farache.

"The climate is very tense. We feel threatened, intimidated, attacked." >>> | Sunday, February 1, 2009

The Intifada is globalized as the Gaza War becomes a world war

A friend of mine just sent me this article. It amazes me how little the author knows about Islam. He asks, "One wonders: Why January 10? Was the aggression somehow coordinated among the various far-left and Islamic groups which organized the protests in each city — an attempt to “Globalize the Intifada“? Or did the simultaneous outbreak of violence and anger in several places occur naturally? We may never know."

Well, first of all, there is nothing special about January 10th. The violence has erupted around the world before and after January 10th. Did a simultaneous outbreak of violence occur naturally? Uh, yes. It is basic Islam. When any Muslim is attacked anywhere in the world, regardless of how much provocation the Muslims gave the attacker prior to the attack, it is a Muslim's duty to support and defend the Muslims, regardless of who is in the right. Islam is always in the right.

The author also says, "the fighting now happens not just in Gaza, but wherever in the world Hamas supporters come face to face with anyone they deem an opponent (whether those be Israel supporters or police officers)."

This is just clumsy, ignorant language for "Muslims and non-Muslims," as anyone reading the IBA know full well. In other words, "Hamas supporters" are Muslims. And "anyone they deem an opponent" is "non-Muslims." None of this is confusing when you know even the most basic information about Islamic teachings.

Here are the events that occurred on January 10th:
¤ In London, protesters physically attacked police officers with unrestrained abandon and no fear of arrest;
¤ In Copenhagen, Hamas supporters screamed in public that they want to kill all Jews;
¤ In Calgary, neo-Nazis marched alongside leftists and Muslim extremists, in a grand coalition of anti-Semites;
¤ In Los Angeles, a car full of Israel-supporters barely escaped serious harm when an enraged mob tried to attack them;
¤ In Duisberg (Germany), police broke into a private home and tore down a flag displaying a Star of David, to appease stone-throwing protesters;
¤ In Belfast, an Israel-owned mall kiosk was surrounded and menacingly harassed...

Maybe I'm being overly harsh to the author of the blog. He is on the right side of the fight, and he has quite a few videos of rallies on that page.

The 'Oldest Hatred' Lives, from Gaza to Florida

In Toronto, anti-Israel demonstrators yell "You are the brothers of pigs!," and a protester complains to his interviewer that "Hitler didn't do a good job."

In Fort Lauderdale, Palestinian supporters sneer at Jews, "You need a big oven, that's what you need!"

In Amsterdam, the crowd shouts, "Hamas, Hamas! Jews to the gas!"

In Paris, the state-owned TV network France-2 broadcasts film of dozens of dead Palestinians killed in an Israeli air raid on New Year's Day. The channel subsequently admits that, in fact, the footage is not from Jan. 1, 2009, but from 2005, and, while the corpses are certainly Palestinian, they were killed when a truck loaded with Hamas explosives detonated prematurely while leaving the Jabaliya refugee camp in another of those unfortunate work-related accidents to which Gaza is sadly prone. Conceding that the Palestinians supposedly killed by Israel were, alas, killed by Hamas, France-2 says the footage was broadcast "accidentally." (read it all)

Sderot Mother Addresses United Nations: "Doesn't My Baby Have Right to Life?"

On Sept. 19, 2008, Dina Cohen of the regularly-bombarded Israeli town of Sderot addressed the UN Human Rights Council. Her statement, delivered on behalf of UN Watch, followed a presentation to the council by Archbishop Desmond Tutu that condemned Israel for alleged crimes in Gaza. Tutu's report, however, failed to address Hamas rocket attacks against civlian population centers or the suffering of Israeli victims. In the debate, the Palestinian representative compared Israeli action to those of the Nazis.

Here is a translation of her statement:
Doesnt My Baby Have the Right to Life?

UN Watch Speech to 9th Session of the UN Human Rights Council
Agenda Item 7, Debate on Archibishop Desmond Tutus Report (Resolution S-3/1)

Thank you, Mr. President.

All human life is equal and the all innocent suffering is tragic. You have just head heard one side of the story. Permit me to present the other side, in the context of paragraphs 14 and 18 of the report.

My name is Dina Cohen and I am a young 22 year-old mother who lives in Sderot, Israel. Every night, before falling asleep, I face the same dilemma. What will happen if a rocket falls on my sons room? This crazy scenario is my daily life.

We have fifteen seconds between the alarm and the explosion. Fifteen seconds to run to the closest shelter. In which direction to go? How to react?

Every day the same thoughts haunt me. Will my son, who is only a year old, be safe at the nursery school during the day? And will I, his mother, be able to protect him at home?

A few months ago, I had an experience that I will never forget. That weekend, the attacks were incessant. And when the alarm sounded again, my husband and I, with our son in our arms, ran to the shelter. This is when the rocket hit the ground, only a few meters only from our home.

The windows exploded, the walls trembled, and suddenly, we heard piercing screams. The leg of our eight-year old neighbour, Osher Twito, was instantly torn off. His eighteen year old brother was also seriously wounded. I will never forget their cries. Every time the alarm sounds, I know that this situation can happen again, or even end more tragically.

We are a city in shock. At school, at home, at the supermarket, 24 hours a day we are ready to run to the shelters or to throw ourselves on the floor as a way of protection.

In Sderot, there are 23,000 of us -- 23,000 inhabitants, all running for shelter. At every alert -- even when the Kassam rocket falls outside of the city.

In 2005, Israel fully withdrew from the Gaza Strip, in the hope of peace. In return, Palestinians chose the Hamas who, since that time, launched 4,637 rockets targeting innocent civilians, like me and my family. This is the root cause of the problem we are discussing today.

I would like to ask: Does my baby not have the right to be protected? Does he not have the right to life?

Thank you Mr. President.
The following video was made before the end of the cease-fire. It shows the conditions under which children in Sderot are forced to live (while it was mostly calm, some rockets were fired while the cease-fire was in effect). Hamas, the democratically elected terrorist government deliberately aims these rockets at civilian targets...residents of Sderot have 15 seconds after the red alert alarm to seek shelter before a rocket hits...

NIN Source States "The Game is Rigged" Against Israel

A "highly placed U.S. Intelligence official" wishing to remain anonymous warns of an "increasing probability of abandonment of Israel by the U.S. and other Western countries" based on "malicious intelligence", says Northeast Intelligence Network Director Douglas Hagmann in a report dated 12/31/08. The official confirmed that a larger extended ground operation is likely in Gaza, adding that as Israel exercises her right to protect herself from her enemies, she is in grave danger of losing the support of the United States.

“I have every reason to believe, based on what I’ve seen at my level of [security] clearance especially over the last several years, that Israel will soon be completely on their own… or worse.”

When asked what could be worse than losing the support of the United States, he stated: “when our administration provides more support to Arab countries [with] financial and military aid, undercutting Israel’s defense efforts all while pushing Israel to succumb to the pressure of unreasonable demands designed to end with their political annihilation as a nation.”

According to this official, the U.S. has been slowly proceeding down this road. He cited the
2005 surrender of Gush Katif to the Palestinian Authority as one critical example of the slow dismantlement of Israel as a viable nation. “Despite critical intelligence outlining in every possible manner imaginable that this would be a disastrous move leading to the events we are seeing today, it was done anyway,” he stated.

“We are seeing the very scenario play out today that was outlined in intelligence briefs three and four years ago. Knowing that, there is something very wrong with this picture,” he stated.

He added that Western media is also playing a very big role in the current war in the Middle East, thanks, in part, to carefully worded statements prepared by political officials in Washington. Officials in the current administration, like some previous administrations, submit carefully crafted informational releases to a media that is controlled by those having special interests that are contrary to a legitimate peace in the Middle East.
“The game is rigged. At the highest levels of power in the U.S. and even by some in power in Israel, the game is rigged,” he emphasized.

Vetted intelligence reports twisted to fit the agenda of those in government whose special agenda is hostile to Israel, fed to the biased MSM which serves up this poison to an American public unaware that not only Israel's security but our own is being systematically undermined from within. Read the rest and try not to lose your lunch. Hagmann plans to post the remainder of this report in the near future.
