ABC News Promotes Revolution Muslim as America’s First Line of Defense

Here's some information we've posted over the past year about Revolution Muslim and the Times Square bomber:

Times Square Bomber Cites Revolution Muslim-Touted Preacher As Inspiration

Infidel Bloggers Alliance seems to have been out ahead of everyone on the connection between the Times Square Bomber and Revolution Muslim. If you want to know how, skip past the initial part of this post (from Jawa, and see our May 3rd post.

Faisal Shahzad Followed Shaikh Faisal

faisel4.jpg
NPR:
The man accused in the failed Times Square bombing attempt has been talking to authorities for more than two weeks. And one of the things he told them, according to people close to the case, is that he was inspired to act by two Internet clerics — one in Yemen and another in Jamaica. The first cleric Shahzad cited is a familiar name: Anwar al-Awlaki. He's the American-born imam who has been linked to an al-Qaida group in Yemen — the same imam who allegedly blessed the Fort Hood shootings and the botched Christmas Day bombing attempt of a U.S. airliner by a young man carrying explosives in his underpants.
The other cleric is a less familiar figure.
His name is Abdullah Faisal, a 46-year-old convert to Islam who is from Jamaica. He spoke with NPR on Tuesday. We had initially set up an interview with him to be recorded for broadcast on the radio. But when he arrived, he demanded that we pay him for the interview. When I refused, he declined to go on tape.
Well Abdullah Faisal might be a less familiar figure. Unless you've been following the New York based terror supporters over at Revolution MuslimYounis Abdullah Muhammad and his boys have been supporting, promoting and raising funds for the convicted felon for years.
In fact Revolution Muslim is the #1 outlet for Faisal's sermons and talks. So was Faisal Shahzad a big fan of Revolution Muslim? I can't say for sure but here is a very suspicious coincidence. Younis and his gang of terror supporters were in Times Square just before the car bomb was found.
Its all a little too coincidental for me. I've said that eventually the group over at Revolution Muslim will inspire someone to kill. I've lamented that people are going to have to die before the danger of this group is taken seriously.
Back on May 3rd, we noted that a video of Revolution Muslim preaching at Times Square THE DAY OF THE BOMBING included an ominous note at the end of the video:

Here's the portentious note:

"Stay tuned - entire video of this event coming soon, Insh'Allah."

Yes, it looks as if RevolutionMuslim was in on this. They knew what was coming, and they wanted to release an "entire video of this event", but of course the event did not come off as planned.

MORE -

Quote: "The first cleric Shahzad cited is a familiar name: Anwar al-Awlaki. "

Connecting more dots:

Anwar al-Awlaki was the featured imam at a major mosque in Northern Virginia . . .of Dar al-Hijrah.

*The phone number of the mosque was found in Hamburg, Germany within the apartment of Ramzi Bin ql-Shibh, a key planner of the 9/11 attacks and the roommate of Mohammad Atta.

*served as the spiritual home of Major Nidal Malik Hasan, the Army psychiatrist, who murdered 13 soldiers and wounded 30 more on the military base at Fort Hood, Texas.

* al-Awlaki was involved in recruiting Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the Nigerian national who is charged in the Christmas Day attempt to detonate a bomb aboard a Northwest Airline flight & personally “blessed” the operation.

*A 2002 government report from U.S. Customs and Border Protection states that Dar al-Hijrah is “associated with Islamic extremists” and serves “as a front for Hamas activities in the U.S.”

*2007 government report states that the mosque has been under federal investigation for providing “aid and comfort” to so-called “bad organizations and members.”

* The U. S. Census Bureau leases 6,654 square feet of space from the Saudi-financed Dar al-Hijrah, which has been labeled “America’s most radical mosque.” The cost of the space to taxpayers is $23,000 a month.

Look Who's Coming To The White House On March 3

With a hat tip to Mark Alexander, who emailed me the news link:

A hardline Muslim cleric who sparked anger across the U.S. with his anti-American comments in a television interview this month is to hold a protest outside the White House.

British extremist Anjem Choudary - who once said 'the flag of Islam will fly over the White House' - has announced he will lead a demonstration calling on Muslims to establish the Sharia law across America....

[...]

Mr Choudary told the newspaper [the Daily Mail]: 'The event is a rally, a call for the Sharia, a call for the Muslims to rise up and establish the Islamic state in America.'

The New World Order At NASA

From Maggie's Notebook:
What is with this government? Every day there is another slur on American Culture, American Values. This time the agency is NASA. Instead of naming a new rocket after an American Hero or a victim of the 9/11 attacks, they have decided to name the rocket after an Egyptian...Woman killed in the riots.
Read the news link HERE. Excerpt:
...[An Egyptian newspaper] quoted Essam Mohamed Haji, a young researcher at NASA as saying on Thursday he had received approval to put the young woman Sally Zahran's name on a spaceship heading for Mars.

Zahran, a 23 English graduated and translator died after she was beaten about the head on 28 January with a truncheons during clashes with security forces in in the Upper Egyptian governorate of Sohag. Anti-government protesters claim her killers were thugs in the pay of police.

“This is the least we could provide to Egyptian youth and revolutionaries. This step represents transferring the dreams of Egyptian youth from a small stretch of earth to the enormous expanse of space,” said Haji was cited as telling Al-Masri Al-Youm by phone from California....
As Maggie points out:
If NASA wants to honor a foreign hero they could honor Ilan Ramon (Israel) who died on the Columbia.

Or NASA could honor the 2,998 victims of 9/11. They could put all the names in a box and pull out one.

Virginia Military Institute Celebrates Muslim Invasion, Brutal 781-year Occupation of Spain

From Big Peace:

Stonewall Jackson is rolling over in his grave.

Next month his beloved Virginia Military Institute will be convening a celebration commemorating the 1300th anniversary of the invasion and occupation of Spain under the Muslim warlord Tariq ibn Ziyad in 711 A.D. The March 23-25 celebration entitled “711-2011: East Meets West” and organized by VMI’s Center for Leadership and Ethics, is scheduled to feature standard Muslim apologists Reza Aslan and Akbar Ahmed. VMI Superintendent Gen. J.H. Binford Peay has even filmed an invitation to the celebration.

No word if VMI’s World War II commemoration will be entitled “Germany meets Poland, Czechoslovakia, Austria, Belgium, France, Norway, The Netherlands and Russia”.

Event organizers describe the event as follows:
We celebrate the 1300th anniversary of Tariq ibn Ziyad’s crossing of the Straits of Gibraltar, setting into motion the fusion between two worlds.  The agenda will tell the vital story of the achievements when Muslims, Christians, and Jews thrived side by side in Western Europe, building a society that lit the Dark Ages. Experts will discuss how to transform education, promote tolerance, political reform, and advance human development so that we can emulate the spirit and triumphs of the early years.
Reza Aslan is scheduled to speak on a panel entitled “‘Al-Andalus’ – an ageless Model of Tolerance“, but it is doubtful that Aslan and his co-panelists will be discussing the widespread persecution of Christians and Jews under Muslim rule that led to the establishment of an entirely new class of Roman Catholic martyrs, “the Cordoba martyrs“, or the 1066 massacre of Jews and crucifixion their leader Joseph ha-Nagid in “tolerant” Cordoba.

The great Jewish scholar Maimonides and his family fled “tolerant” Cordoba after the Muslim conquest of the city in 1148, when the new occupiers gave Jews the option of converting to Islam, death or exile. A similar persecution emulating the Almohad’s “model of tolerance” prompted Maimonides to write his famous Epistle on Forced Conversion to the Jewish community in Yemen. The myth of “the Golden Age of Muslim Spain” has gained recent attention from the attempts by the Ground-Zero mosque promoters to appropriate the narrative in support of their “Cordoba Initiative”.

"A Stranger in My Own Land"

(hat tip to GM's Place for the link in this post)

What certain sections of the UK are up against, from this essay:
...For four years, we lived in inner-city Birmingham, in what has been a police no-go area for 20 years. We know that because some plain-clothed cops told us when they asked to use our vicarage as a stake-out to bust drugs rings that pervade the area. Having heard a parishioner's tales of what his neighbours did to him when he was wrongfully suspected of having grassed up a cock-fighting ring, we refused, explaining that we had to live here, they didn't. Even during this time we saw the area change. When we arrived, the population was predominantly Pakistani. Now Somalis are there in equal number. Most of the run-down Irish pubs were turned into mosques during our time.

As a woman, it was difficult for me to gain many first-hand impressions of the Muslims. I was generally ignored by both men and women, and on the rare occasion that I had to interact, when for example a car was parked illegally and blocking my gate, I was addressed as if inconsequential. My husband, however, faithfully reported conversations which you may find somewhat alarming. One of our favourite dinner-party pieces is this: opposite our vicarage there is a "library" which has some computers, some burkas and occasionally tracts that say offensive things about Jews and Christians. My husband did his photo-copying there, and got on rather well with everybody. One day he was chatting to a man with a passing resemblance to Lawrence of Arabia, who had just arrived from Antwerp — one of an increasing number of Muslims who are arriving here with EU passports. He asked him why he had come to Birmingham. He was surprised at the question: "Everybody know. Birmingham — best place in Europe to be pure Muslim." Well, there must be many places in Europe where Muslims are entirely free to practise their faith, but I suspect there are few places in which they can have so little contact with the civic and legal structure of a Western state if they choose....

[...]

To a London reader, born and bred with multiculturalism, I know that my stories may come across as outlandish and exaggerated, and that I must surely be a BNP voter — I have observed people's expressions as they have listened to my tales of life in Brum. When I recently told a friend how a large Taliban flag fluttered gaily on a house near St Andrew's football stadium for some months, her cry of "Can't you tell the police?" made me reflect how far many of our inner cities have been abandoned by our key workers: our doctors and nurses drive in from afar, the police, as mentioned before, have shut down their stations and never venture in unless in extremis — they and ambulance crews have been known to be attacked — even the local Imam lives in a leafier area.

Only the priest remains, if you can get one — the thriving but clerically-vacant church down the road has had no applicant in two years. In their absence, we get stabbings that never make the news, dog- and cock-fighting rings, cars torched as pranks and cars used for peddling heroin....

US Textbooks: Muslims Discovered America

From CBN:

Saudi-funded textbooks being used in America's K-12 classrooms.

Teaching, among other things, that Jesus was a "Palestinian," the state of Israel never existed, and that the Muslims discovered America before Columbus. At this rate, perhaps even Saudi grade-school textbooks, complete with jihadi and dhimmi declarations, will come to instruct American school-children.

ooo OOO ooo

"Public Schools Teach the ABCs of Islam," by Erick Stakelbeck for CBN News, October 9, 2008:

CBNNews.com - Several recent studies have shown that American students are alarmingly ignorant about U.S. history and world events.

Experts have contributed the problem to everything from failing schools to substandard teachers.

But what about content?

For instance, did you know that Muslims discovered America? Or that Jerusalem is an Arab city? That's just some of the "history" that students in America's K-12 classrooms have been taught in recent years--with the help of taxpayer money.

A new report by the non-profit Institute for Jewish and Community Research finds that American high school and elementary textbooks contain countless inaccuracies about Christianity, Judaism, Israel and the Middle East.

The Institute examined 28 of the most widely-used history, geography and social studies textbooks in America. It found at least 500 errors.

One book ignored the Jewish roots of Christianity, saying the faith was founded by a "young Palestinian" named Jesus.

Another stated as fact that the Koran was revealed to Mohammed from God.

Yet another said ancient Jewish civilization contributed "very little" to to the arts and sciences.

Textbooks like these are used by millions of schoolchildren in all 50 states.[...]

Harvard is one of 18 universities that receives government funding under Title VI of the Higher Education Act of 1965. To qualify for that funding, the universities are required to conduct outreach to K-12 teachers, helping them to shape lessons for schoolchildren. Elementary and secondary teachers have taken full advantage of the arrangement: after all, they believe they're getting expert insight on Islam and the Middle East from distinguished university scholars.

"You have a lot of politically naive teachers--well intentioned teachers who do want their students to learn more about Islamic history," says Stotsky. "It has not been well covered in most history courses they've ever taken, so they do genuinely want to learn more for themselves and teach their students more."

In some cases they may be getting more than they bargained for: the Saudi government has donated millions of dollars to Middle East Centers at universities that receive Title VI funding.

The Harvard Middle Eastern Studies Center--whose recommendations to the Massachusetts Board originally drew Stosky's concern--is one of them. As CBN News reported earlier this year, the Harvard Center received a $20 million donation from Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal in 2005. Georgetown University--another title VI recipient--also received $ 20 million from the Prince that same year.

It's through these Title VI university centers--all of them government-sanctioned and taxpayer supported--that Saudi-funded materials find their way into K-12 classrooms.

"Saudi donations to American universities should be seen in a much larger picture of Saudi promotion of a Saudi point of view," said Daniel Pipes, Director of the Middle East Forum in Philadelphia. "Whether it be Islamic or political, the Saudis have a point of view. And they have been very clever and very generous over the decades to promote that point of view."

Academia's Love Affair with Islam

During a brief stroll through my Alma Mater, CUNY, I was shocked to find enthusiastic attention and admiration for Islam. I picked up the monthly schedule of events to find it packed with lectures devoted to Muslims and Islam. The emphasis is on the unfair perceptions in the West coupled with talks about “understanding” the Islamic viewpoint. Critical examination is missing not because Islam is another culture—there is a critical talk on Hindutva—but nothing similar about Islamic culture.

In the Graduate Center’s magazine, Folio, there is a forum on “Immigration and Islam: How will Western Europe cope with its growing and restive Muslim population?” We find that the current revival of Islam among Muslims in the West is blamed on … the West!
“The eagerness with which many young Muslims in Britain embrace their Muslim identity would seem to mirror the way Europeans have come to identity these immigrants,” states Prof. Jose Casanova. Prof. Tariq Modood says, “… among Muslims, the younger they were, the more Islamic they were …” According to the author of the report, Modood attributes this trend “to pressures British Muslims have come to feel after the terrorist bombings and the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan.”
The fact that Muslims, worldwide, have been returning to the original practice of their religion (Salafi) over the past 30 years has nothing to do with it according to these academics. They are become serious about Islam because of the West!!!

Let me leave the absurdity of this notion aside for the moment and focus on something very telling in Modood’s exposition. Notice how he refers to Iraq and Afghanistan. Why would a so-called moderate Muslim be upset with the removal of the Taliban from Afghanistan? Why would a “moderate Muslim” be upset with removing Saddam and ending the civil war in Iraq between al Qaeda and fundamentalist Shiites? Modood clearly see Muslims identifying with the so-called fundamentalists. This only makes sense if there is only one Islam: fundamentalist Islam.

Given the propaganda for infidels, that there is supposed to be a moderate Islam and a few extremists that don’t represent true Islam, we should see vast Islamic support for the defeat of the extremist "hijackers" of Islam. However, here we see the truth coming out … Muslims see fundamentalists as authentic Muslims. No one in this academic forum questioned the implications because these assumptions are tacitly assumed despite the overt disclaimer.

Why the love for such a fundamentalist, barbaric, and oppressive creed? It isn’t just multi-culturalism—note the critical examination of Hindutva. There is truly a love fest for Islam in academia.

Let's All Sing Kumbaya

At schools of theology, no less.

From this article in Time Magazine:

Training Pastors, Rabbis, and Imams Together

When Jerry Campbell became president of California's renowned Claremont School of Theology four years ago, low enrollment and in-the-red books threatened to close the 125-year-old institution. But since Claremont is the only United Methodist seminary west of Denver, Campbell resolved to find a way to stay open.

Drawing from classic American entrepreneurial wisdom — when faced with extinction, innovate — and a commitment to engage today's multi-faith culture, this fall Claremont will commence a first on U.S. soil: a "theological university" to train future pastors, imams, and rabbis under one roof. The experiment to end isolated clerical training brings together Claremont, the Islamic Center of Southern California (ICSC) and the Academy for Jewish Religion California. The hope of officials at all three organizations is that when leaders study their own religious traditions together alongside friends of other faiths, they will develop the respect and wisdom necessary to transform America's fractured religious outlook.

[...]

Only recently has the American Muslim population had the finances and the student pipeline to try to launch its own higher education institution; today's imams have trained either overseas or in community-based but unaccredited mosque programs. In addition to Claremont's efforts, Connecticut's Hartford Seminary is seeking accreditation for a new imam-training program, and Zaytuna College, a new, unaccredited Islamic liberal arts school in Berkeley, Calif., hopes to eventually include clerical classes.

[...]

The Association of Theological Schools (ATS) begins formal discussions this fall to explore how pluralism might change pastoral education. "I think that we are on the cusp of a lot of change, but we are at the front end of it, so it's not clear which of these are going to be the survivors, what new models might in fact emerge," says Daniel Aleshire, executive director of ATS. "In 20 years, the whole theological training landscape could be quite different." Already two other theological schools — Boston's Andover Newton and Chicago's Meadville Lombard — have followed Claremont's lead and in June announced plans to form similar interfaith consortiums....
Can you imagine any such syncretism going on in religious-training institutions in Islamic countries, particularly in Saudi, the land of Allah?

Everyone Should Fast During Ramadan?

So says Gail Rosseau, MD, a neurosurgeon from Chicago, Illinois, in this essay from the Washington Post:
This may not be the call to action you would expect from a lifelong Catholic.

[...]

As one of the 5 pillars of the Muslim faith, fasting during Ramadan is expected in Islam. Yet the personal motivation to fast given by one of my colleagues, Nigerian neurosurgeon Muhammed Mahmud, still resonates.

"You can talk about poverty all you want, but being poor means being hungry, and an empty stomach gets your attention like nothing else does," he explained. "We Muslims think the world will be a better, kinder place if all of us spend a month each year feeling, really FEELING, in our bellies, what it is like to be poor."

His words spoke to me. I believe they would speak to most people, of most religions. His words ring equally true to all the secular humanists I know.

Imagine, for a moment, what it would mean if every adult American, more than 225 million of us, gave up one lunch during Ramadan: at $5/lunch this would raise $1.25 billion. The savings could be donated to the church, synagogue, mosque or charity of your choice.

[...]

True understanding comes from shared experience. This year during Ramadan, let's consider reaffirming our common spiritual heritage by embracing the discipline and the spiritual concentration that skipping a lunch, or 30 lunches, would require. This shared experience with the Muslim community, here and abroad, could go a longer way toward ending our serious, and often violent, interfaith struggles than any effort to date. And maybe we could begin to eliminate world hunger along the way.
How long before all infidel women are advised to don the hijab during Ramadan so as to promote understanding?

Or maybe we should all be reciting the first pillar of Islam. Remember, just the recitation thereof automatically makes the utterer a Moslem, whether the reciter believes the words or not.

Unreal: New York High School Students Being Given Exams Praising Islam as a “Religion of Peace,” Slamming Christianity as Intolerant

From Weasel Zippers.

(NY Post)- State testmakers played favorites when quizzing high-schoolers on world religions — giving Islam and Buddhism the kid-gloves treatment while socking it to Christianity, critics say.

Teachers complain that the reading selections from the Regents exam in global history and geography given last week featured glowing passages pertaining to Muslim society but much more critical essay excerpts on the subject of Christianity.

“There should have been a little balance in there,” said one Brooklyn teacher who administered the exam but did not want to be identified.

“To me, this was offensive because it’s just so inappropriate and the timing of it was piss-poor,” he added, referring to the debate over the plan to build a mosque near Ground Zero.

The most troubling passage came from Daniel Roselle’s “A World History: A Cultural Approach,” observers said.

The passage reads: “Wherever they went, the Moslems [sic] brought with them their love of art, beauty and learning. From about the eighth to the eleventh century, their culture was superior in many ways to that of western Christendom.”

Meanwhile, an excerpt listing the common procedures used by Christian friars to introduce the religion in Latin America stated that “idols, temples and other material evidences of paganism [were] destroyed,” and “Christian buildings [were] often constructed on sites of destroyed native temples” — and built with free Indian labor, to boot.

“I can see why some people might see these questions as skewed,” said Mark MacWilliams, a religious-studies professor at St. Lawrence University in upstate Canton. “Why does the exam seem to have only documents that portray Islam as a religion of peace, civilization and refinement, while it includes documents about Christianity that show it was anything but peaceful in the Spanish conquest of the Americas?"

RED ALERT: Obama Defends Ground Zero Mosque

BUMPED TO THE TOP - SCROLL DOWN FOR NEWER POSTS

You know who else my enemy is? My enemy is someone who think it’s a good idea to advertise the virtues of Islam next door to Islam’s Greatest Hit.  - Ace of Spades

From Director Blue:

President Barack Obama defended the plan to build a mosque near the site of the 2001 terror attacks in New York, telling Muslim guests at a Ramadan dinner at the White House that the nation's commitment to freedom of religion "must be unshakable.''

Mr. Obama's remarks came after weeks of the White House sidestepping the debate that has roiled New York and the nation since developers announced plans to build a $100 million, 13-story mosque and Islamic cultural center just two blocks from the World Trade Center site.

[He said] "But let me be clear: as a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country. That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan... This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable..."

...A Marist College poll found that 53% of New York City voters oppose constructing the mosque near the former site of the World Trade Center. Just 34% favored the plan.

Debra Burlingame, whose brother Charles Burlingame was the pilot of the plane the terrorists hijacked and flew into the Pentagon, said she was furious over the president's remarks.

"I'm so angry. I believe this president has abandoned the American people,'' she said. "This isn't a fight about religious freedom for Muslims. No one has argued they don't have the property rights. This is about a project led by someone who says he's trying to build bridges and bring the community together and he's chosen probably the worst place in America and the worst way to do it.''

The president's statements are utterly, completely false.

The imam in question has endorsed the implementation of Sharia law in the United States. By his own admission then, the brand of Islam he wishes to practice is not a religion -- it is a political system.

Sharia law is a legal system that completely rejects the Constitution and the American form of government. Thus, there is absolutely no "separation of church and state" issue.

3,000 souls were murdered by Islamists in the name of their political religion on 11 September 2001. Tens of thousands of innocents have perished since then -- killed in beheadings, stonings, executions, hangings, beatings, floggings, suicide bombings and more.

All were murdered in the name of a political system that adopts the guise of a religion.

But as with health care and the economy, President Obama doesn't care what you or I think. Facts, logic, reason and history play no part in his "decision-making". Only ideology matters with this particular breed of hard-left Democrats.

Pamela's comment on Obama and the Ground Zero Mosque is interesting:

I believe he planned it all along. he waited until Ramadan.

He has now turned our Ground Zero protest on 911 into a mega-event

The very idea of a 15-story mega-mosque on hallowed ground in indecent, offensive and outrageous. If Imam Rauf and his wife Daisy really wanted to "reach out" and "heal," they would give the $120 million to the first responders suffering from exposure to the toxic environment at Ground Zero after Muslim terrorists brought down the World Trade Center and slaughtered 3,000 Americans.

Obama knows this is not about religious liberty. No one has suggested abridging the first amendment to stop the mosque. This is not a religious issue. This is a national security issue.

Once again, Obama puts himself directly at odds with the majority of the American people, as is his way and the hallmark of his presidency. This is all explained in detail, in my book.
Think about what she said here. Obama has turned this into a mega-event. As if the American people were not already waking up from their apathetic slumber. As if the American people were not already completely pissed off.

Now, the President has sided with our enemies in the most explicit way yet.

Obama has made a terrible mistake, and we all can thank him for it. He thinks he can pull this off, but he threw his charisma under the bus a long time ago.

As Jim Hoft commented, "Since most of America is against building a mosque at Ground Zero, it only figures then that our radical far left president would join the 20% who believe it’s a good idea."

This man needs to be removed from office.

UPDATE: Dag on Obama, in light of this story:
America is deep to the bones democratic and individualistic, and no one, probably not even me, not I, would accept a maniac murderer as scourge of the nation even if he were me.

Most Americans are not crazy, though many are sick in the morals because they're stupid and gullible and lazy and afraid to offend their friends in public. But deep down, most Americans are basically normal and decent people who will not tolerate insanity in government.

Obama will not last. His minions will riot, maybe will kill a few thousand people when he's run out of office, and that will be it.
From Brandy (in the comments section of Atlas Shrugs:
Mr. President, if this is all about tolerance, let me tell you a few things about tolerance:
The American people were tolerant when the first bomb exploded at the WTC.
The American people were tolerant when airplanes filled with innocent people crashed into the WTC on 9/11.
The American people were tolerant when an airplane filled with innocent people crashed into the Pentagon.
The American people were tolerant when an airplane filled with innocent people crashed into a field in Pennsylvania.
The American people were tolerant when our president asked us not to blame all Muslims for 9/11.
The American people were tolerant when four Americans were drug through the street and hung on a bridge.

The American people were tolerant when 13 of their fellow Americans and heroes were killed by someone who was supposed to be helping them.
The American people have shown they are tolerant and good. We ARE better than them.
But Mr. President, we've had enough. A 15 story Mosque built where the ashes of the dead still linger is asking too much. That...we won't tolerate.

from Yid with Lid:

Islamists "Stealing" Ground Zero Are Following Muslim Tradition

To many of us that lived through the tragedy of 9/11 the site of the World Trade Center "Ground Zero" is sacred territory. It should forever serve as a memorial to those whose lives were destroyed in the war against Islamic terrorists. My friend Pamela Geller, has thrown her website Atlas Shrugs, and much of her weight into the fight to prevent a mosque being built on the ground zero site, not because she believes that mosques should not be allowed to be built, but because she feels empathy to the families and victims who see a Mosque on the site of a terrorist attack made in the name of Allah is a deliberate attack on their memory. They feel that the real purpose of the Mosque is to steal the heritage of the site, that Muslim tradition is to place mosques (or even to destroy) the religious, or sacred sites of others to usurp the tradition of others. That is certainly the case in Israel.

A major strategy of the Palestinians in their goal of ultimately taking over all of Israel is to deny Jewish and Christian ties to the land. That's why they hold on to the Temple Mount and destroy artifacts. It is why they burned down Joseph's Tomb and it is why they are now targeting Rachel's Tomb calling it the Bilal Bin Rabah Mosque, and why they have built the al-Hanaqa Mosque adjacent to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher(and the latrine for the mosque on the roof of the church)

According to a May 11, 1997, report in Ha'aretz, "A Waqf internal report, written two weeks ago by the Waqf's Jerusalem engineer, 'Isam 'Awad, confirms many of the Christians' claims in the conflict that has emerged adjacent to the Holy Sepulcher Church regarding construction in the Church. The Church's claim [is] that the Waqf has harmed the historical and architectural substance of the Holy Sepulcher, as a result of a construction addition to the courtyard of the 'Hanaqa,' which leans on the wall of the Holy Sepulcher and even darkens it by its height."

October 2009. Bethlehem – Ma’an Palestinian News-Rachel’s Tomb lies behind Israel’s eight-meter concrete separation wall in a fortified enclave close to the center of Bethlehem. The wall criss-crosses Bethlehem, blocking the main road to Jerusalem, encircling a refugee camp and looming over the upscale Intercontinental hotel.

Right-wing religious groups petitioned Israel’s highest court in 2004 to re-route the wall to include the tomb on the western side. To this day the site, formerly knosquewn as the location of the Bilal Bin Rabah Mosque, is accessible only from the Israeli side.
It didn't take long for the writing to appear on the wall for Mother Rachel. In 2000, after hundreds of years of recognizing the site as Rachel's Tomb, Muslims began calling it the "Bilal ibn Rabah mosque." Members of the Wakf used the name first in 1996, but it has since entered the national Palestinian discourse. Bilal ibn Rabah was an Ethiopian known in Islamic history as a slave who served in the house of the prophet Muhammad as the first muezzin (the individual who calls the faithful to prayer five times a day). When Muhammad died, ibn Rabah went to fight the Muslim wars in Syria, was killed in 642 CE, and buried in either Aleppo or Damascus. The Palestinian Authority claimed that according to Islamic tradition, it was Muslim conquerors who named the mosque erected at Rachel's Tomb after Bilal ibn Rabah, belying the fact that a vast amount of literature written by pilgrims - Jewish, Christian and Muslim - documents the site as Rachel's burial place.

Jews have visited the site for generations, coming to pray, request and plead. The place became a kind of miniature Wailing Wall where suppliant Jews came to pour out their hearts and recount their misfortunes at the bosom of the beloved mother, where they could find consolation and cure.

According to Jewish tradition, Rachel's tears have special powers. Beginning with the first exile of the Jewish people from the Holy Land, tradition says Rachel's weeping convinced God to make the exile a short one:
So says the Lord: A voice is heard on high, lamentation, bitter weeping, Rachel weeping for her children, she refuses to be comforted for her children for they are not. So says the Lord: Refrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for there is reward for your work, says the Lord, and they shall come back from the land of the enemy. And there is hope for your future, says the Lord, and the children shall return to their own border.
Since its establishment, the State of Israel every single agreement transferring responsibility for Jewish holy places to neighboring Arab or Palestinian rule has been broken.
  • On April 3, 1949, Israel signed an armistice with Jordan. According to Paragraph 8, Article 2 of the agreement, Jordan was to allow Israel "free access to the Holy Places and cultural institutions and use of the cemetery on the Mount of Olives." In practice, not only could Jews not visit the graves of their loved ones on the Mount of Olives, but the site was desecrated. Headstones of Jewish graves were shattered and some were used as paving stones or in construction. Jordan did not allow Jews free access to their holy places, and for 19 years, until 1967, Jews could not go to the Western Wall, Rachel's Tomb, the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron, Joseph's Tomb in Shechem (Nablus), or other sites sacred to Jews which remained in Jordanian hands.
  • In May 1994, Israel signed the Gaza-Jericho Agreement in Cairo. According to Article 15 of Annex II, "the Palestinian Authority shall ensure free access to all holy sites in the Gaza Strip and the Jericho Area," mentioning the Naaran synagogue, the Jewish cemetery in Tel Sammarat, the "Shalom al Israel" synagogue in Jericho, and the synagogue in Gaza City.
  • On September 28, 1995, the Israeli-Palestinian Interim Agreement was signed on the White House lawn, making the Palestinians responsible for civilian and security matters in additional areas of the West Bank. In accordance with the agreement, Israel withdrew from six Palestinian cities and part of Hebron; the IDF and the civil administration were withdrawn. In addition, Israel withdrew from 450 villages, towns, refugee camps, and other areas throughout the West Bank. The holy sites in those regions, or adjacent regions (access to which passed through or close to Palestinian areas), were designated as "sites of religious significance" or "archaeological sites." The agreement also dealt with the status of 23 places holy to Jews, including the tombs of biblical figures, the ruins of ancient synagogues, and ancient cemeteries. The Palestinians promised to assure freedom of access to those places.
IN EVERY SINGLE CASE the Palestinians either made access extremely difficult for Jews to get to the holy sites or or prevented acesss entirely.
In October 2000, Joseph's Tomb in Nablus was attacked, set ablaze and desecrated. Druze Border Police Corporal Yusef Madhat bled to death on October 4 because Palestinians refused to allow his evacuation. It also became extremely complicated for Jews to reach other, less well-known places, such as the tomb of Avner ben Ner near Hebron, or similar sites, to say nothing of the synagogue in Gaza. Only at the "Shalom al Israel" synagogue in Jericho did the Palestinians generally adhere to the agreement, for a time, until it too was attacked with the outbreak of the second intifada in the fall of 2000. Holy books and relics were burned, and the synagogue's ancient mosaic was damaged. Unfortunately, there has been a discernible deterioration in Palestinian treatment of Jewish holy sites in 2007, including the Tomb of Joshua bin Nun at Kefel Hares.
  • On December 1, 1995, after Rabin's assassination, Bethlehem, with the exception of the enclave of the tomb, passed under the full control of the Palestinian Authority. Rachel's Tomb is now an outpost marking Jerusalem's southern border. It has been massively fortified and Jews can only reach it in bulletproof vehicles under military supervision
The Palestinians are targeting the Jewish sites in the holy land by saying that they were really Muslim sites.  Christians shouldn't feel left out, because they are staking their claims to Christian Heritage sites also. They have even positioned terrorists next to Churches in the hopes that Israel will fire upon and damage holy sites.
Additionally, the Tanzim have chosen positions near churches in Beit Jallah (most notably the Church of St. Nicholas), hoping that Israel's return fire will hit a church. Then the Christian West would read in newspapers that Israel is targeting churches. As it is, even without the Israeli bullets hitting a church, the news cameras almost always show St. Nicholas, delivering a subliminal message that Jews are firing at Christians.
In the holy land, Muslims have been taking over, or trying to destroy Christian and Jewish Holy sites, it does seem very likely that the Ground Zero Mosque is part of that same pattern.

Keep repeating HE ISN'T REALLY A MUSLIM.....

Obama Endorses The Ground Zero Mosque

I know that Pastorius has already posted about this. But I have to weigh in with own post!

Are any of the regular readers here at IBA surprised? I'm not!

Obama simply waited until this year's White House Ramadan dinner on August 13 to offer his support of building the towering Cordoba House which, if built, will overlook the site where 3000 Americans were murdered by Islamic terrorists on 9/11. The symbolism of the timing of Obama's announcement of support resonates with the ummah, ever in search of the elusive will of Allah!

From MSNBC:
It was the president's first public remarks about the mosque controversy. The White House previously called the matter solely a local one.
The President of the United States is advocating sacrilege at Ground Zero! From this recent column by Charles Krauthammer:
A place is made sacred by a widespread belief that it was visited by the miraculous or the transcendent (Lourdes, the Temple Mount), by the presence there once of great nobility and sacrifice (Gettysburg), or by the blood of martyrs and the indescribable suffering of the innocent (Auschwitz).

When we speak of Ground Zero as hallowed ground, what we mean is that it belongs to those who suffered and died there -- and that such ownership obliges us, the living, to preserve the dignity and memory of the place, never allowing it to be forgotten, trivialized or misappropriated.

That's why Disney's 1993 proposal to build an American history theme park near Manassas Battlefield was defeated by a broad coalition that feared vulgarization of the Civil War (and that was wiser than me; at the time I obtusely saw little harm in the venture). It's why the commercial viewing tower built right on the border of Gettysburg was taken down by the Park Service. It's why, while no one objects to Japanese cultural centers, the idea of putting one up at Pearl Harbor would be offensive.

And why Pope John Paul II ordered the Carmelite nuns to leave the convent they had established at Auschwitz. He was in no way devaluing their heartfelt mission to pray for the souls of the dead. He was teaching them a lesson in respect: This is not your place; it belongs to others. However pure your voice, better to let silence reign.

[...]

Location matters. Especially this location. Ground Zero is the site of the greatest mass murder in American history -- perpetrated by Muslims of a particular Islamist orthodoxy in whose cause they died and in whose name they killed.

[...]

America is a free country where you can build whatever you want -- but not anywhere. That's why we have zoning laws. No liquor store near a school, no strip malls where they offend local sensibilities, and, if your house doesn't meet community architectural codes, you cannot build at all.

These restrictions are for reasons of aesthetics. Others are for more profound reasons of common decency and respect for the sacred. No commercial tower over Gettysburg, no convent at Auschwitz -- and no mosque at Ground Zero...
Not only is Obama advocating sacrilege at Ground Zero. He is advocating Islamic supremacism under the guise of religious freedom.

I don't for a moment believe that Obama doesn't know what he's doing. He's been "reaching out" to Moslems since the moment he took office. From this year's sycophantic official White House statement about Ramadan:
These rituals remind us of the principles that we hold in common, and Islam’s role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance, and the dignity of all human beings. Ramadan is a celebration of a faith known for great diversity and racial equality. And here in the United States, Ramadan is a reminder that Islam has always been part of America and that American Muslims have made extraordinary contributions to our country.

[...]

May God’s peace be upon you.
Since when has Islam "always been part of America"? Were Moslems at Jamestown or aboard the Mayflower? As Dr. Paul Williams recently stated in one of his essays:
Sorry, Mr. Obama, but there were no Muslims among the passengers on the Mayflower or the settlers at Jamestown. Muslims were conspicuously absent from the ranks of George Washington’s Army of the Revolution and played no role in the creation of the American republic – - save for the fact that the new country’s first declaration of war was against the forces of Islam in the form of the Barbary pirates.
Read the entire essay HERE.

Furthermore, that closing sentence from this year's White House statement on Ramadan is very close to ṣalawāt:
a phrase that practising Muslims often say after saying (or hearing) the name of a prophet of Islam.
Caliphate-yearning and shari'a-desirous Muslims have stated in the past that they're going to use America's freedoms to take down our nation. And I have to hand it to them: they're strategy is succeeding, with even the President of the United States as one of their means of doing so.

I ask you this: Two years ago, could you even have imagined that anyone would support building a mosque to overlook the sacred soil of Ground Zero?

I also ask you this: Can you this day imagine that the mosque won't be built, never mind the outcries against doing so?

Dhimmitude and political correctness have overtaken America. How far we have fallen!

Note to readers: My next post, whenever I can get to it, will delineate the true meaning of Ramadan.

Information about the term jummah:
Jumu'ah (Arabic: جمعة‎) (also known as jum'ah, Friday prayer, etc.) is a congregational prayer (salat) that Muslims hold every Friday, just after noon in lieu of dhuhr. It is mentioned in the Qur'an as:

O you who believe! when the call is made for prayer on Friday, then hasten to the remembrance of God and leave off business; that is better for you, if you know. (Qur'an 62:9)

And when the prayer is ended, then disperse in the land and seek of Allah's bounty, and remember Allah much, that ye may be successful. (Qur'an 62:10)
Successful at what, exactly?

Obama, The "Educator-In-Chief on Islam"

From Creeping Sharia, citing the Weekly Standard:
Rashad Hussain, America’s special envoy to the Organization for the Islamic Conference (OIC), the Saudi-based body formed in 1969 to “protect” Jerusalem from the Israelis, announced a new title this week for President Barack Obama. According to Hussain, Obama is America’s “Educator-in-Chief on Islam.”

Hussain so designated Obama in a keynote speech Wednesday, June 23, at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars....

[...]

In his remarks, Hussain also congratulated Obama for sending Valerie Jarrett, a senior adviser, to last year’s annual convention of the Islamic Society of North America, a notorious front for Saudi-financed Muslim radicalism. Worse, Hussain has now divulged that the U.S. will support the OIC in the latter’s United Nations effort to criminalize “defamation of religion”...
Read the rest HERE.

Galloping shari'a and Islamification! The goals of the Obama administration? Apparently.

Interfaithing Equals Dhimmitude

Ongoing since 2002, the year after 9/11:

This week, at Georgetown University, in Washington, D.C.:
From May 25-27, 2010, Georgetown University President John J. DeGioia will host Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams and his 9th Annual Building Bridges Seminar. Since 2002, the Archbishop of Canterbury has chaired an annual seminar bringing together leading Muslim and Christian scholars from around the world to explore issues at the heart of the two traditions. Georgetown University has become a partner in this significant dialogue process and hosted the seminar in 2004 and 2006.
Prince Al-Waleed of Saudi is, no doubt, gratified by the dhimmitude of a Jesuit university as he watches mainstream Christianity submit to Islam via his "educational charities", which finance centers of Islamic study at Western universities.

According to
Campus Watch:
Perhaps Alwaleed's animus toward the instruments of "Jewish pressure" explains some of his less-advertised investments -- among them, a $27 million contribution to a Saudi government telethon that raised more than $100 million for the families of Palestinian suicide bombers. Both the Middle East Media Research Institute's Steven Stalinsky and columnist Diana West have called attention to the prince's co-ownership of the Saudi ART TV network that, under Alwaleed's watch, aired not only the aforementioned telethon but also the fundraiser "Jihad in Palestine," which encouraged Muslims to triumph over the West through suicide bombings and "slitting of throats and shattering skulls."
