Storm Track Disinformation: A Big Brouhaha in Denmark

The far right party of Demark is not pulling any punches getting their message across about the Islamic threat to their country. It seems that the far-right party depicted Mohammed in one their election materials. Though an honest interpretation of events surrounding the well known Mo-toon controversy, this political ad didn’t sit very well with some Danes. To wit – a Danish-Muslim group.

The ad by the Danish People’s Party, the country’s third largest political force, showed a hand-drawn picture of the Islamic prophet under the slogan “Freedom of expression is Danish, censorship is not”. The ad was condemned as a “provocation” by at least one Danish-Muslim group, as Islam forbids representation of its most important prophet.

The Danish-Muslim group hit back.

The Expulsion Of The Moors

This post is going to seem to ramble a bit. I am putting ideas together here upon which I have been thinking for a very long time. They are not huge ideas, but they are, to me, intriguing and frightening ideas. I have shied away from expressing them, because I am afraid I am not the man to do it. I don't claim to know history very well. My fields of study are Philosophy and Literature. I am a businessman for a living. I am not, by nature, a revolutionary.

Instead, I am a goofball.

However, it would seem to me the time of Revolution may be coming upon us. There is not a lot we can do to stop it. We can only be ready. And, to be ready, we need to prepare ourselves.

Yesterday, Dag proposed the question to me, is it time for Europeans to form their own armies? He proposed the Irish Republican Army as a model. You'd have to ask Dag why the IRA? Don't ask me. I'm not proposing an IRA-based model.

But anyway, here is my answer to Dag:


A good friend of mine grew up in a family that was completely enmeshed in one of the major Irish underground armies. His father was the equavalent of a capogregime in the Mafia.

My friend grew up getting into fights wherever he went because he was known as the son of the man who ...

Plus, it was just the way the neighborhood (Belfast) was.

If he walked down the street all of the sudden he was in the wrong part of the neighborhood and a gang would jump him.

I have several other friends who grew up Christian in Muslim countries.

The point is, I know people who grew up in politically-driven violent situations. I know people who grew up with what we call "terrorism."

All these people tell me I am brave to do what I do. I tell them I am not brave, I am just ignorant. I haven't been through it, so I do what I do out of my ignorance. If I had been through what they had been through I might sit on my hands, like they do.

I don't really know, though.

I am convinced of this:

1) European countries need to form a new class of political parties which are anti-Islamofascist in nature, but whose vision is bigger than that simply. These political parties need to be something like what you call "an America of the mind." In other words, they need to be absolutely Free Democratic Republics, which uphold a Bill of Rights.

As you see from a post I put up last night, we consider advocating for Islam/Sharia to be sedition here at IBA.

2) Europeans need to become prepared, mentally and physically, to fight for themselves. By this I mean, they need to become prepared mentally and physically to fight against, not just Muslims but, their own governments.

Why?

Because their governments have ceased to represent Free Western Democracy and Human Rights. Their governments have ceased to represent their own people.

I wouldn't pretend to know when the first shot ought to be fired in the coming war. I'm guessing there will be many skirmishes along the way before the real war finally breaks out. However, I would never know when those triggers ought to be pulled, nor would I know when the hammer needs to be brought down on the head.

I will say this, the Danish attack is a perfect example of a time when it would have been a good thing for that man to have had a group of bodyguards, and those bodyguards should have been armed with something more than just their fists.


I believe that the best way to prepare Europe for its future is to look to the past. What did Westerners have to go through to gain and maintain their freedom and their culture in the past?

Well, for one thing, they had to fight many battles with the "Moors" (Muslims). They had to stand against their own governments. Americans had to form militias, which eventually banded into an army. Americans had to fight against "King George." America men who signed the Declaration of Independence had to serve jailtime for sedition. They had to be beat up and sometimes face the noose itself. (I speak more of American history than I ought to because I don't know much at all of European history.)

Unfortunately, I believe we are headed, once again, into such times. It is going to take quite a large amount of courage from quite a few people, but I believe we will find it. In fact, ultimately, I believe we will find even more than we need.

I believe Western Civilization has set itself upon an inevitable course of self-improvement guided by reason, and instructed by the Judeo-Christian tradition. I believe reason, guided by the Judeo-Christian tradition, is stronger than any other force on Earth, and it is what has led to the last 2000 years of progress for humanity.

What, you say, Pastorius? But, what about the Dark Ages? There was a major impedence in progress, wasn't there?

Yes, there was. And, why was that?

Because of the Muslims, largely, right?

Am I right, or am I wrong? I'll let others weigh in.

For now, I want to point out something interesting about history. Think back to what you learned in school. Remember the rhyme,

"In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue."

Think about the Renaissance. When was it said to have begun? Well, its gestation is said to have begun with the ideas of Dante in the late 13th century. But, in history, ideas precede action by many years (this process has speeded up with the advancement of communications.) But, really, when you think of the Renaissance, who do you think of? Leonardo Da Vinci, right? When did he live? 1452-1519.

And, what else was going on then?

Hmm, what could it be?

Well, how about the EXPULSION OF THE MOORS.

In fact, if you look at history books, the Expulsion of the Moors is said to have taken place in 1492.

Isn't that a coincidence?

No, it isn't, is it?

Isn't it interesting that the Dark Ages really ended, and the Renaissance really kicked into gear the same year as the Reconquista; the Expulsion of the Moors? Isn't it interesting that the only time of impeded progress through which the West has lived in the past 2,000 years coincided with the time when Muslims overran Europe?

Yes, it is interesting, isn't it?

We don't want that to happen again, do we? We like our Saab's, and our Starbuck's, and we our museums, and bookstores, and we like being able to go and get treatment when we have cancer, or heart disease. We like that when we stare into the face of death itself, many times Western Civilization can even help us beat that.

Let us be clear about it, were the Muslims to, once again, overrun Europe, Western Civilization would be lost. America can not fight this war all alone. America, without Europe, is a rootless entity, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Sure, we are full of piss and vinegar. Sure, we've got balls. Sure, we are a "country based on an idea" rather than on racially-based culture.

But, Europe is our mother and father. Europe is our Nana and our Papa. We need the family structure. We need the wisdom. We need our history.

And, we need your fists, and your willingness to walk through history like a one-man wrecking crew. Europe's history of war, of willingness to fight and kill is far beyond that of America's. Europe earned its place on this Earth. And, it's place is that it is the birthplace of Modern Civilization.

And, Modern Civilization is the only kind of civilization that I want to live in.

Palma de Mallorca's Muslims' cemetery

Muslims from Palma de Mallorca are totally enraged. The Major has told them that the cemetery they had been promised cannot be built in the zone they were promised because it belongs to an ecologic protected zone, and cannot be used for funerary purposes. But the Major has promised that the cemetery will be done.

Anyway, the Muslims are enraged because their community has been reclaiming it for more that 10 years.

In the last elections, Socialist and Mallorca's regionalists (Bloc per Mallorca and Unión Mallorquina) won the Majorship.

We will see how long it takes to obey them.

ADVOCATING SHARIA IS AN ACT OF SEDITION

Muslims all over the West call for the imposition of Sharia law in our countries. Sharia law is the opposite of Free Democratic Rebublican government. Yet anywhere between 25-40% of Muslims surveyed (wherever they are surveyed) cop to wanting Sharia law to beceome the law of the land.

Let us be clear: Sharia law calls for the killing of gays, apostates, and adulterers.

That means Freedom of Speech/Conscience goes out the window right off.

Do you understand.

There is no compromise between our two systems. There is no meeting them halfway. What are we going to do? Throw smaller stones at the head of the homosexuals? You know, that way they would die more slowly. Is that a reasonable compromise?

There is no friggin' compromise possible.

The Global Islamic Media Front, the leading al Qaeda website, has posted a report that verifies Osama bin Laden's possession of nuclear weapons and his intent, if provoked, to deploy these weapons against the United States.

The report maintains that bin Laden, when asked what will happen if the US uses nukes against his terrorist organization, said: "If they hit us with them, we will hit them with the same."
In November 2001, bin Laden provided a similar response to the same question during an interview with Hamid Mir. ""We have chemical and nuclear weapons," he told the Pakistani journalist. "If America uses chemical or nuclear weapons against us, then we may resort with chemical or nuclear weapons." When Mir asked bin Laden where he obtained such weapons, the al Qaeda leader said: "It is not difficult [to acquire such weapons], not if you have contacts in Russia and with other militant groups."

The Global Islamic Media Front report goes on to say that al Qaeda, prior to 9/11, had commissioned an Egyptian scientist to prepare its arsenal of nuclear weapons - - obtained from arms dealers, such as Semion Mogilevich of the Ukraine and black-market sources in Russia, Chechnya, China, Kazakhstan, Iran, and Sudan. This scientist, according to the Front, "tested exploding a miniature nuclear bomb and caused a huge, tremendous explosion which made the leaders of the mujahadeen very happy. Sheikh Osama personally was following the project through its various phases."

This account, too, was verified by Mir, who during the course of a conversation with intelligence analyst Ryan Mauro, said that the Egyptian scientist, in question, had lost an eye during a test of a radiological bomb in the Kunar province of Afghanistan. Mir related the same information to Polish journalist David Dastych.

During the course of his conversation with Mauro, Mir said that he had personally verified al Qaeda's smuggling of "three suitcase nukes from Russia to Europe" and "many kilos of enriched uranium" to the United States for the construction of "more than six dirty bombs."

"I lost track of the three suitcase nukes after they were smuggled into Italy," Mir said. "I tried my best to get more information about those bombs but I am only one man. I only received one tip that Chechen members of Al-Qaeda wanted to smuggle one bomb into London, one into Paris, and one into California, but some dispute developed with the Italian underworld over the method of payment. This was in the year 2000.

"Al-Qaeda leaders claimed to have deployed their tactical weapons inside America. But when I tried to track the transportation of those weapons from Georgia, I lost track in Italy. I don't know the location of these today because my source left Afghanistan for Iraq last year. On the other hand, they claimed to me that weapons were smuggled to America through Mexico."

The report stated that when a "brother" would ask him what if the United States "hits us with nuclear weapons," bin Laden would answer: "If they hit us with them, we will hit them with the same."

The report said an Egyptian nuclear scientist was commissioned to prepare nuclear weapons and to buy equipment for them prior to the September 11 terrorist attacks.

"Light Blows"

Force-feeding the Quran into the young is a favorite activity of many Muslim households. This becomes uglier when the first language of the family isn't Arabic. The kids have to memorize an entire book of asinine words without understanding a single sentence. If they don't or if they make mistakes, then a heavy stick reminds them of the peaceful nature of Islam.

On this matter, MEMRI recently did a translation of an Al Jazeera TV show.

Interviewer: "Fatima, have you ever been beaten to make you memorize the Koran - you or any of your classmates?"

Fatima Abd Al-Hamid, a student at a Koran school: "No, but sometimes the teacher punishes me. If I make a small mistake, for example, she says that I must concentrate on this. Sometimes, she tells us to concentrate on it again."

Interviewer: "How are you punished?"

Fatima Abd Al-Hamid: "She tugs our ears or strikes us with a ruler."

Interviewer: "What about you, Luqman?"

After a few more questions:

Luqman Abd Al-Hamid: "He hit me on the hand."

Interviewer: "With a ruler?"

Luqman Abd Al-Hamid: "No, he hit me lightly with his hand."

Interviewer: "Can you show us how he hit you?"

Luqman Abd Al-Hamid: "He has a strong hand, Allah be praised, and he hit me."

Reread that last sentence and let it sink in.

Later an audience member states that he was beaten with a rod.

Member of the audience: "Doesn't beating run counter to the religion of Islam?"

Interviewer: "He is referring to the beating of children."

Dr. Arabi 'Atallah Al-Qweidri: 'Do you mean beating as a punishment at school?"

Member of the audience: "In school and in Koran memorization schools."

Dr. Arabi 'Atallah Al-Qweidri: "This beating does not run counter to Islam. It is permitted for the sake of education. But by 'beating,' I mean light blows, light punishment, so that the child or student will learn a lesson, and will serve as an example to others. If the student is left unpunished, there will be chaos."

There is no reason, only naked, brutal power. This occurs in every Muslim-majority nation in all kinds of schools. (If you're in the West, then go ahead and ask any first-generation Muslim acquaintance about his/her "academic" experience.)

One can't help but ask: If Muslims treat their own kids and kind in such a vicious manner then what kind of treatment would they mete out to those they profess to hate?

BNP Leader Invited to MSU by 'Conservative' Students

In the boneheaded move of the year, conservative student group Young Americans for Freedom invited British National Party (BNP) leader Nick Griffin, a flat-out racist and Holocaust denier, to speak about the dangers of Islam at Michigan State University: Protesters shout down anti-Islam speaker at MSU.

It’s not clear from the article whether this was part of Islamofascism Awareness Week or not, but if it was, the Young Americans for Freedom have just handed the enemy a huge gift on a platter, tied up with a lovely white supremacist bow.

EAST LANSING - When British Nationalist Nick Griffin took the podium at a
Friday night Michigan State University event, he tried to explain how Islam is a
threat to Western civilization.

Protesters wouldn’t have it.

Hurling obscenities and using chants to interrupt his address,
rambunctious student organizations forced Griffin to abandon his speech and
allow an informal question and answer session.

What followed was an unstructured banter between the speaker and a
crowd of roughly 75 protesters. While many attempted to ask Griffin legitimate
questions, others shouted obscenities.

“We have all come from different backgrounds,” said Authra Khreis, 17,
a pre-med student and a protester. “We should accept one another. I don’t think
he should be allowed to speak. You can use free speech until you hurt another
person.”

Griffin was invited to campus by a conservative student organization
called Young Americans for Freedom, or YAF.

Kyle Bristow, chairman of YAF, said his organization invited Griffin to
promote intellectual debate. Bristow said he doesn’t believe in many of the
ideas Griffin has preached, particularly his alleged denial of the Holocaust,
but does agree that the Islamic faith is a threat to America.

If this was another case of “the enemy of my enemy is my friend,” it couldn’t possibly be more misguided. From the statement by Kyle Bristow, it’s clear that the YAF (not related to Jason Mattera’s group, the Young America’s Foundation) knew exactly who Griffin was when they invited him.

The YAF should apologize for this, and renounce any associations with the BNP or Griffin. It’s an indefensible move, and a gigantic mistake. Do the right thing, and distance yourselves now while you can still control the damage.

LGF readers have been digging, and so have I, and I was being naive in thinking the YAF at Michigan State would renounce Nick Griffin and the BNP. They know exactly what he believes, and what the BNP stands for, and invited him for that reason.

And surprise! They’re also big supporters of the only man who can save America, Ron Paul.


Oh yeah, and just in case I haven't made it clear enough, we hate the fucking racist BNP.

There's Only One Way To Know For Sure: Read The Koran Yourself

Does the Koran urge Muslims to kill infidels? Or is it a book of peace? You can read commentary on the Koran all day long, but in the back of your mind you know you may be getting more spin than facts. The only solution is to find out for yourself. And it is easy to do.

Here is the table of contents of the Koran (click on a chapter to read it): The Holy Qur'an. Here's another one: The Koran.

On this next version, scroll down a little and you see each chapter of the Koran as a link. On each chapter (114 in all), you see three different English translations of the Koran: The Noble Qur'an. Here's another one: Holy Qur'an.

These translations are all very similar, but I thought it was a good idea to give several sources in case one of these providers disappears.

Does the Koran tell Muslims to make war on unbelievers? I originally wanted to check this out for myself because I was skeptical that the villainizing of Islam could be Christian or Jewish or Hindu propaganda.

So I found web sites that have English translations of the Koran online like the ones above. Here is another one. And this is one of the chapters. Now keep in mind all of these are Islam-promoting web sites rather than anti-Islamic web sites. Here are some of the passages from that last chapter:

57. So if you gain the mastery over them in war, punish them severely in order to disperse those who are behind them, so that they may learn a lesson.

58. If you (O Muhammad ) fear treachery from any people throw back (their covenant) to them (so as to be) on equal terms (that there will be no more covenant between you and them). CertainlyAllâh likes not the treacherous.

59. And let not those who disbelieve think that they can outstrip (escape from the punishment). Verily, they will never be able to save themselves (fromAllâh's Punishment).

60. And make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war (tanks, planes, missiles, artillery, etc.) to threaten the enemy of Allâh and your enemy, and others besides whom, you may not know but whom Allâh does know.

65. O Prophet (Muhammad )! Urge the believers to fight. If there are twenty steadfast persons amongst you, they will overcome two hundred, and if there be a hundred steadfast persons they will overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve, because they (the disbelievers) are people who do not understand.

67. It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war (and free them with ransom) until he had made a great slaughter (among his enemies) in the land. You desire the good of this world (i.e. the money of ransom for freeing the captives), butAllâh desires (for you) the Hereafter. And Allâh is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

On the other side, I did see a hopeful passage in that chapter:

61. But if they incline to peace, you also incline to it, and (put your) trust in Allâh. Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.

But the downside is that this quote is within the context of having defeated an enemy and gained the country. And the peace has lots of stipulations, including a choice of conversion to Islam or death, or for Christians and Jews, a heavy tax and fewer rights.

I recently read a great version of the Koran. One of the things that makes Korans difficult to read is their strange organization. The chapters are not arranged in the order they were written. The traditional arrangement is from the longest chapter to the shortest. So the events jump around, seemingly at random, and often the reader feels confused about what's going on.

In addition, the passages in the Koran sometimes refer to events in Mohammad's life, but the Koran doesn't tell you what those events were.

And the third thing that makes the Koran difficult for a modern reader is the strange tendency of many English translations to use King James' Bible-style Old English, using "thee" and "thou," for example.

A Simple Koran fixes all three of those problems without losing the meaning of the passages. Every passage of the Koran is in A Simple Koran, arranged in the order it was written. The book fills in the events of Mohammad's life so you understand what the passages are about, and the writing is normal, modern English. This is the best, most readable version I have yet to come across.

I wanted to make sure this version said the same thing as the authoritative version I already own (The Holy Qur'an by Maulana Muhammad Ali), so I took specific passages (the Koran is numbered, chapter and verse, just like the Christian bible) from one Koran and compared it to the same passage in the other. And I found the meaning was identical. But A Simple Koran was much easier to read.

If Amsterdam city council bars construction of the Westermoskee mosque, a great demonstration of Turks from throughout Europe will be held. The possibility of this degenerating into violence cannot be ruled out, the Turkish organisation Milli Gorus warns.

For no good reason at all, I am posting this story. Well, actually, maybe I do have a good reason, but I'll get to that at the end of the post:

UPDATE 4:10 PM, Pacific — Britney Spears made a brief exit from court just moments ago. The pop singer stormed out of the courtroom in an agitated state. She was yelling, “Eat it! Lick it! Snort it! F*** it!”

Spears lawyers ran after her, as did her former assistant, Alli Sims, who is with her in court.
Britney then returned to the courtroom, sobbing.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (October 26, 2007) — Hollywood’s highest-profile custody case was back in court Friday, with Britney Spears arriving in her Mercedes convertible for a hearing to work out custody arrangements for her two young sons.

Her ex-husband Kevin Federline was also under court order to attend the Superior Court hearing.

Spears was spotted after arriving with a female companion and parking in an underground lot. Earlier in the day, a lawyer for Spears won a motion to bar videotaping of deposition testimony in the case.

Spears’ lawyer, Thomas Paine Dunlap, argued that video of the depositions would almost certainly wind up on YouTube. He said his celebrity client had a right to be protected from that exposure.

Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon made his ruling in spite of his concern that she is constantly courting “inordinate amounts of media,” which he said runs counter to her expressed desire for privacy.

“I’m not chastising her,” Gordon said.

“She’s an adult. But what I’m saying is someone who is always going to places where there is an inordinate amount of media, it doesn’t square.” Dunlap countered that the pop star was not trying to create media attention.

“If she goes to Starbucks, there’s media there. If she goes shopping, there’s media there,” he said.

Attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan, who represents Federline, said his client wanted the depositions to be videotaped to preserve the demeanor of witnesses who testify during the closed sessions. After the commissioner’s ruling, Kaplan asked that experts and other parties be allowed to be present to see how witnesses responded.

Gordon said he would allow two people to observe the witnesses.

During the afternoon hearing, a lawyer for Spears was expected to argue that she has complied with court orders and should regain the shared custody she lost earlier this month.

In an unusual twist, a special metal detector was installed outside the courtroom. Officials were confiscating cell phones from everyone entering the floor to prevent media, attorneys and spectators from taking pictures in the courtroom. The process caused a backup of lawyers who had to empty brief cases for inspection.

During the morning hearing, Dunlap complained that he was being forced to do things he had never done before to get into a courtroom.

Gordon responded dryly, “This may be the manufacture of your client.”





Ok, so here's the reason I am posting this story. First off, I can put up a hot picture of Britney Spears, and that's always good. It's good for the libido and it's good for the traffic.


But beyond that, I just want to say, I love America. I love the Western world. I love that we can obsess over completely stupid bullshit like this.


That makes me inordinately happy.


If the Islamofascists of the world had their way, everyday, we would feel like we did the day of 9/11.

Doesn't it feel a lot better to just worry about Britney?

We accept all voices here at the Infidel Bloggers Alliance. Myself, Epaminondas, and several of our other writers are lifelong Democrats who have turned rightward because of exactly the ignorance you speak of the left demonstrating.


If you want to, you ought to begin commenting here from your left perspective, and if you are not too hostile towards us, I will make you a member, and you can propose some leftie solutions to the problem.




Thus far, I have not been able to find any. I haven't been able to think of any way to win this war, other than to kill our enemies.

That's why I have turned "rightward."

However, that being said, the exact reason I am doing this is because I don't want to see gays, apostates, and adulterers stoned to death, and because I like freedom of speech/conscience, and I like all the decadent freedoms of the West.





Yes, I like looking at pictures of Britney Spears (and other hot chicks). I like that gays can roam the streets freely. I like that people can change religions like they change their shoes. I like that Rosie O'Donnell can go on TV and lie about 9/11. I like all of that.


In fact, I fucking love it, and I never ever want it to disappear.


Long live Britney and Kevin Federline, and whatever the fuck it was that Britney was trying to express with what she blurted out in the courtroom yesterday.


Just think about it, guys. It must have had something to do with Kevin's demands of her, huh? Wouldn't you just love to know?


Better yet, I think I'll just make something up and think about it while I, uh, make myself happy.

The package was announced jointly by secretary of state Condoleezza Rice and treasury secretary Henry Paulson and include branding Iran's Revolutionary Guards Corps proliferators of weapons of mass destruction and the al Qods Brigade sponsor of terrorists. These steps are unprecedented.

DEBKAfile's Iranian sources recall that the Islamic regime announced in advance that approval of these measures would be deemed tantamount to an American declaration of war on Iran and call forth retaliation.

Tehran would target US interests in the Persian Gulf, Iraq and Afghanistan or Israel by means of Special Groups, i.e. Iran's foreign intelligence networks, Hizballah or Hamas.

DEBKAfile's sources reveal that these reprisals may be delayed some days because Iran's leadership is in the throes of a profound power struggle between hardliners and pragmatists.

However, since the supreme ruler, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is commander-in-chief of Iran's armed forces, including the IRGC and its al Qods Brigade, Tehran cannot afford to let Washington's accusations go unanswered.

The new sanctions package includes US financial penalties for any world firms trading with the Revolutionary Guards. They would apply to more than 1,000 companies in Europe, the Middle East, the Persian Gulf and Asia. Our Iranian sources note that since IRGC-owned companies control more than 35 percent of Iran's economic activities, the new sanctions will have a crippling effect on its national economy. This is already hard hit by Washington's systematic blockage of Iran's dealings with international banks, which has left Tehran seriously short of cash flow, foreign currency and basic commodities.

According to DEBKAfile's sources, Iran very recently sent Indonesia an "emergency appeal" for gasoline and heavy oil, because it has run out of currency to pay for imported refined oil products.

Tehran offered to reward Jakarta with a concession for building big new oil refineries, which Iran lacks.

Indonesia has not yet replied. Its government must take into account that no serious world oil enterprise would be willing to cooperate in a refinery project in Iran for fear of a backlash from the American boycott.

By the way, you may have noticed Russia has been a bit stand-offish with Iran of late. Half the time they are supporting old Mahmoud, and the other half they are lecturing him. What gives?

Well, I'll bet it has to do with Iran's lack of funds. Believe you me, Russia would like nothing better than to feed the enemies of the United States.

The truth of the matter is, this war is not, ultimately, between the West and Islamofascism. It is between the United States and China/Russia.

A Message To Peaceful Muslims

On the Infidel Blogger's Alliance and other sites, I've seen many comments by Muslims trying to tell non-Muslims that Islam is really a peaceful religion and that the terrorists have it all wrong. A friend of mine I've known for years is an ex-Muslim, who grew up in a Muslim country, and even he has told me Islamic terrorists don't understand the "true" teachings of Islam.

This article is my response to all those comments on web sites, including this one. This is a message to Muslims who want to convince non-Muslims that Islam is a religion of peace.

My main message is: Please stop. We are trying to defeat terrorism here, and when you tell non-Muslims that message, you aren't helping the cause. You're actually hindering it. I'll explain how in a minute.

If you peaceful Muslims are trying to defend your religious beliefs, I think most people would understand and sympathize with your motives. But by doing it here, what have you accomplished? On this site, and on many others, we are trying to defeat terrorism. Have you helped our cause? No. All you've done is try to convince us Islam is great.

You need to understand the effect of your defense on the non-Muslim mind. If you want to end Islamic terrorism, and if you understood what effect you had, you would stop defending your faith to infidels.

Because even if we all believed you, so what? Even if you successfully convinced us Islam is really a religion of peace, what difference would it make? Does it help us defeat terrorism? No, not at all. We have terrorists quoting the Koran (urging Muslims to kill infidels) and we have other Muslims saying the Koran is only about peace. Where does that leave us? You've replaced clarity with confusion. You've replaced resolve with hesitation. And to that degree, you've given the terrorists the upper hand.

This is a deadly serious business, and this seemingly insignificant issue is the crucial pivoting point. Knowing how and why your enemy wants to destroy you is an enormous advantage in a global war in which many hundreds of thousands have already lost their lives.

Peaceful Muslims, I ask you to hear this: You make non-Muslims less able to defend themselves by going on these websites and justifying your religion to them.

Part of what makes the issue confusing for westerners is that we don't know if you're sincere or if you're trying to deceive us. Many terrorists exclaim vehemently that Islam is a religion of peace. But when they say it, they are trying to trick non-Muslims and confuse us while they continue their jihad against us (or what they mean is: as soon as Islam conquers all countries, the world will be at peace, so therefore, Islam is a religion of peace).

But my feeling is that most of the Muslims who have written to me are actually sincere, peace-loving, non-terrorist Muslims who have no interest in blowing up infidels. My friend is one of those. He is perfectly sincere.

If you are one of those sincerely peaceful Muslims, I know you have explained away the violent parts of the Koran terrorists often quote. And good for you. I'm glad you have. You had a teacher who convinced you jihad is really an inner struggle. And that's great. The teacher provided you with the complex mental maneuvers you need to see the Koran as a peaceful document.

But you are doing harm and causing confusion by telling infidels you know the "true teachings" of Islam. The Islamic terrorists aren't listening to unorthodox teachers. Terrorists are fundamentalists. They are strongly against any moderation of Islamic texts.

It doesn't really matter that you have somehow explained away Allah's commands to kill all the infidels — the terrorists have not explained it away! They make the more direct assumption that if Allah said it, He must have meant it.

You think the terrorists who quote the Koran are wrong. And you believe the fundamentalists running Iran, Syria, Pakistan, the Sudan, and Saudi Arabia don't really know what Islam is all about. Okay, fine. Does that help us defeat terrorism now that we know that? Not one little bit.

But when infidels get a good idea of what is actually in the Koran, and when they learn about the Islamic principles of deceit and pretext, and when we find out the goal and purpose of the Islamic faith, and when we learn about the methods Islamists use to infiltrate and destroy, then we infidels are better able to protect ourselves. It's like finding out the plans of an enemy during war. It helps tremendously to anticipate what they're going to do and to understand their motives. This knowledge improves our ability to defend ourselves against it.
