Critics of a speaker widely viewed as one of the nation’s most prominent deniers of the Holocaust say they will counter his talk in Eugene on Friday with a competing event and a later symposium.

Mark Weber, director of the Institute for Historical Review (out of Willis Carto and the 'Liberty Lobby'), will speak on “The Israel Lobby.” His visit comes at the invitation of the Pacifica Forum, a local discussion group founded by retired University of Oregon professor Orval Etter (Orval Etter, associate professor emeritus. B.S., 1937, J.D., 1939, Oregon. (1939)).

Calling the Kennedy School of Govt at Harvard, we have a message for Herr Doktor Smears and Gruppenfuhrer Waltheimer. Advertisements for the event feature the image of a snake in the shape of a Star of David with the legend "The Israel Lobby: How Powerful Is It?"

Weber, a historian who grew up in Portland, describes himself as a Holocaust revisionist. But detractors point to Weber’s own writings in labeling him a white supremacist, racist and anti-Semite.

“People may think I’m wrong or I’m right, but they should have a chance to hear what I have to say,” Weber said in a telephone interview from his institute’s office in Newport Beach, Calif.

Can you imagine? Any view is due equal consideration? Hitler had the right idea? Stalin was a humanitarian? Creationism can be proven? The sky is green? Is this the adulterated thinking of university symposiums?

GERTZ-Iran accelerates efforts in America's backyard

Iran is not waiting for the Bush administration to decide what to do about Teheran's nuclear program. Iran is moving to attack the United States through the back door.

Iranian opposition sources said Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has ordered an acceleration of efforts to expand Teheran's presence in South and Central America. They said Ahmadinejad wants an Iranian presence that would enable massive attacks on U.S. interests in key South American countries as well as the ability to send terrorists into the United States on short notice.

Never mind terrorists, as detailed here the submarines Chavez wants from the Russians (have they refused yet to sell ANYTHING? In 1999 they offered to sell Akula's to China ,and are NOW SELLING THEM TO INDIA..Jane's Defense Weekly), are easily capable of striking the USA from DOCKSIDE.

The National Council of Resistance of Iran has acquired portions of a classified Iranian government report that details Iran's plans to infiltrate many countries south of the U.S. border. The report by Iran's Supreme National Security Council outlines plans for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the nation's elite military unit, to establish a presence within a stone-throw's distance of Arizona, Texas and New Mexico.

The IRGC priority is to build a presence in Mexico. The 125,000-member IRGC, which controls 30 percent of Iran's economy, would deploy within Shi'ite and Alawite communities and buy its way into the corrupt government in Mexico City. IRGC would also infiltrate the Mexican arms, drug and illegal migrant smuggling network that operates along the U.S. border.

This is too obvious to be any kind of surprise to anyone competent enough to place themselves in Iranian shoes.

But IRGC does not want to be confined to Mexico. The plan also called for an Iranian terrorist presence in Bolivia, Columbia, Nicaragua, Uruguay and Venezuela. Venezuela has already become a leading ally of Ahmadinejad, and Caracas was deemed as one of two headquarters for the IRGC in South America. The other was Managua, Nicaragua.

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) - Soldiers used tear gas, plastic bullets and water cannons to scatter tens of thousands who massed Thursday to protest constitutional reforms that would permit Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to run for re-election indefinitely.

Led by university students, protesters chanted "Freedom! Freedom!" and warned that 69 amendments drafted by the Chavista-dominated National Assembly would violate civil liberties and derail democracy.

It was the biggest turnout against Chavez in months, and appeared to revive Venezuela's languid opposition at a time when the president seems as strong as ever. Students promised more street demonstrations over the weekend, but no opposition-led protests were planned for Friday.

"This is a dictatorship masked as democracy," said Jorge Rivas, an 18- year-old student. "Chavez wants our country to be like Cuba, and we're not going to allow that to occur."

Authorities broke up the protest outside the headquarters of the country's electoral council, reporting that six police officers and one student were

injured. But students said dozens of protesters were hurt during the melee. The local Globovision television network broadcast footage of several police beating an unarmed protester with billy clubs.

Student leader Freddy Guevara said it was not immediately clear how many students were arrested, and he urged local human rights groups to help verify the number of detained protesters.

These are essentially brave kids, children standing in objection to what is clearly a fascism, even a racist one, which coolly speaks the dialectic of an dreamlike egalitarian socialism, with the cynical knowledge that no one believes them, and they know those who disbelieve know they know it, and could care less.

Never has the value of the Second Amendment been more clear then when we contemplate a government like that of Chavez which makes such a law compulsory among free peoples.

Either the government fears the people, or the reverse. There is no other state of being available.

Vlad The Impaler, Part 1

Here is Part 1 of a two-part piece on Vlad the Impaler by me, Pastorius:


Vlad III reigned on and off, as Prince of Wallachia, between 1448-1476. He was born, the son of Vlad II, in Transylvania. Wishing to assert his authority in an untamed world, Vlad II had been an early believer in the rallying power of images, and, had thus, used the Dragon, symbol of Order, as the logo of his reign. The people began calling him Vlad Drakul, meaning Vlad the Devil, a name which he seemed to have liked.

When Vlad III ascended to power, he signed his name to documents, Vlad Drakulea, meaning Son of the Devil.

Yes, this Vlad III, or Vlad Drakulea, is the inspiration behind the book Dracula by Bram Stoker. And with good reason, for he seems to have been a blood-thirsty man, both literally, and figuratively. Legend has it, a favorite delicacy was bread dipped in pig's blood. Whether or not that was true, Vlad Drakulea was an extraordinarily cruel ruler. And, guess where he learned much of his cruelty from?

Yes, that's right; the Muslims.

His father's reign as Prince of Wallachia was troubled by the need to balance the competing interests of the Hungarians of the realm with that of the invading Ottoman Empire. Vlad II chose appeasement much of the time, and thus, he was assasinated on the order of John Hunyadi, regent of Hungary.

This left Vlad III with no father, and, as those who assassinated his father did not trust his family, no throne.

In the years leading up to the assassination of his father, Vlad III had lived in Turkey and had familiarized himself with the customs, lifestyle, and military structure of the Ottoman Empire, as well as the language. Thus, when he found himself cut off from his royal lineage he turned to the Turks to help him successfully regain what he believed was rightfully his.

His reign was troubled from there on in. All told he gained and lost the throne three times, spending some years in prison during one fall from grace. One constant, though, was his reputation for cruelty. One of his nicknames was Vlad Tepes, which meant Vlad the Impaler.

The process of impaling an enemy is particularly gruesome. This, from Wikipedia is not for the fainter flowers among us:

Impalement was Dracula's preferred method of torture and execution, which he had learned in his youth as a prisoner of the Turks. It was and is one of the most gruesome ways of dying ever imagined.

Dracula usually had a horse attached to each of the victim's legs as a sharpened stake was gradually forced into the body. The end of the stake was usually oiled and care was taken that the stake not be too sharp; else the victim might die too rapidly from shock.

Normally the stake was inserted into the body through the anus and was often forced through the body until it emerged from the mouth. However, there were many instances where victims were impaled through other bodily orifices or through the abdomen or chest.

As expected, death by impalement was slow and painful. Victims sometimes endured for hours or days. Dracula often had the stakes arranged in various geometric patterns. The most common pattern was a ring of concentric circles in the outskirts of a city that constituted his target. The height of the spear indicated the rank of the victim. The corpses were often left decaying for months.


Vlad was known for many of the other cruel punishments he levied on his subjects. He would cut out the genitals of women who committed adultery. He once invited a large group of the sick and the lame to a big banquet, and at the culmination of the banquet, put the question to them, "Would you like to live with no care in the world?" When they answered in the affirmative, he had the doors locked and the building burned to the ground. There were no survivors. He then told his court that he had done what he had done, because he didn't want weak people in his land.

One lesson he seemed to have learned from the Turks was the hudna. For after just a few years of aligning himself with the Turks in order to establish his power, he turned on them.

The most famous scene of Vlad's life came in a battle against the Ottoman forces of one Sultan Mehmed II. Here is a description:


In the beginning of 1462, Vlad launched a campaign against the Turks along the Danube river. It was quite risky, the military force of Sultan Mehmed II being by far more powerful than the Wallachian army. However, during the winter of 1462, Vlad was very successful and managed to gain many victories.

To punish Dracula, the Sultan decided to launch a full-scale invasion of Wallachia. Of course, his other goal was to transform this land into a Turkish province and he entered Wallachia with an army three times larger than Dracula's.

Finding himself without allies, Vlad, forced to retreat towards Tirgoviste, burned his own villages and poisoned the wells along the way, so that the Turkish army would find nothing to eat or drink.

Moreover, when the Sultan, exhausted, finally reached the capital city, he was confronted by a most gruesome sight: thousands of stakes held the remaining carcasses of some 20,000 Turkish captives, a horror scene which was ultimately nicknamed the "Forest of the Impaled."

This terror tactic deliberately stage-managed by Dracula was definitely successful; the scene had a strong effect on Mehmed's most stout-hearted officers, and the Sultan, tired and hungry, admitted defeat.


Now, see, I know you were thinking to yourselves, "Since when does Pastorius do history?" The answer, of course, is rarely. But, this one is rather important, isn't it?

Nick Griffin And The Extremely Profitable Lie

Did Nick Griffin actually say this? As far as I can tell, yes he did. Apparently, he uttered these words as part of an official speech representing the British National Party sometime back in the mid-90's.

I am told by BNP Party members that they believe he has grown past these ideas.

In Nick Griffin's pamphlet Who are the Mindbenders Jewish names are listed as proof that they control the media.

Mindbenders claims that, "The mass media in Britain today have managed to implant into many people's minds the idea that it is 'anti-Semitic' even to acknowledge that members of the Jewish community play a large part in controlling our news".

Jews are accused of "providing us with an endless diet of pro-multiracial, pro-homosexual, anti-British trash".

Who are the Mindbenders? has a sinister history:

It follows the lead of The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion, the notorious 19th century tsarist forgery that purports to be the minutes of a meeting of Jews documenting their plans to control the whole world.

Mindbenders is based on Who Rules America?, written by Dr William Pierce, who before his death last year was one of the world's foremost neo-nazis and a self confessed ally of Nick Griffin.

Pierce authored the notorious Turner Diaries, which inspired the Oklahoma bombing, and was the leader of the National Alliance, a group described by the US Anti-Defamation League as one of the most dangerous neo-nazi groups in the world. Griffin's booklet is a carbon copy of Pierce's.

In Spearhead in 1996, Griffin spoke of "the controllers of Hollywood, almost entirely Jewish", and has written that:

"Some 'anti-Semitism' may be provoked by the actions of certain Jews themselves and thereby have a rational basis".

Now he is trying to distance himself from the label of antisemitism, and has toned down his views in public. Where he once spoke of "Jewish influence", he now speaks of "Zionist influence", showing that it is his language not his beliefs that have changed.

Holocaust Denial

Griffin has never withdrawn his views on the Holocaust that landed him with a suspended prison sentence in 1998. His publication The Rune, which denied that the Holocaust ever took place, resulted in a conviction for inciting racial hatred under the Public Order Act. So extreme were Griffin's beliefs that he attacked David Irving, the leading British Holocaust denier, for daring to admit that some people might have died in the Holocaust, Griffin wrote:

"True revisionists will not be fooled by this new twist to the sorry tale of the Hoax of the Twentieth Century".

Defaming the memory of British forces who fought the Nazis, he added, "Back in the 1960s the Jews quietly shifted the alleged sites of the mass gassings from the no longer believable German camps such as Dachau and Belsen to the sites in Communist Poland such as Auschwitz and Treblinka. Now that the very idea of Zyklon-B extermination has been exposed as unscientific nonsense, they are once and again re-writing bogus history, playing down gas chambers and talking instead of 'hundreds of hitherto unknown sites in the East where more than a million Jews were exterminated by shooting".

Griffin sees the Holocaust as a lie invented by Jews to make money: "As your Hollywood friend is fond of remarking, (provided he is safely in select company) 'there's no business like Shoah business".

When the former MP Alex Carlisle reported Griffin for inciting racial hatred and Holocaust denial, Griffin fumed: "This bloody Jew, our local MP who organised the raid whose only claim to fame is that two of his parents died in the Holocaust"Star witness as Harrow Crown Court on Griffin's behalf was Robert Faurisson, the famous French Holocaust denier.

In the 1990s the BNP hosted a number of revisionism seminars that were addressed by some of the world's most infamous Holocaust deniers. They included David Irving.

Winds of War: The Good German and the Good Muslim

I’ve been thinking about that quote from Edmund and thought about the phrase “The Good German.”

Wikipedia defines “The Good German” as those Germans who claimed not to have supported the Nazi regime, yet made no claim to have opposed it in any significant way.

It is a saying among our troops that there are no real Nazis in Germany, only “good Germans.” Every crime Germany committed against humanity seems to have been done by someone else.

The term has come to be used to refer more generically to people in any country who observe reprehensible things taking place — whether done by a government or by another powerful institution — but remain silent, neither raising objections nor taking steps to change the course of events.

Sound a lot like the moderate Muslims – or the ‘Good Muslims’ – of today.

In a special Internet announcement in Arabic, picked up DEBKAfile’s counter-terror sources, Osama bin Laden’s followers announced Monday, Oct. 29, the launching of Electronic Jihad. On Sunday, Nov. 11, al Qaeda’s electronic experts will start attacking Western, Jewish, Israeli, Muslim apostate and Shiite Web sites. On Day One, they will test their skills against 15 targeted sites expand the operation from day to day thereafter until hundreds of thousands of Islamist hackers are in action against untold numbers of anti-Muslim sites.

So friends use on these days your anti virus programm, or crack some of the muslim sites. ;)

Iraqis Allege US Shark Attacks

Iraqi fisherman caught a shark in his net

A two meter long shark got caught in a net last week that a fisherman cast out into the river Euphrates. Now, the local population is nervous that there might be more sharks in the river, according to Reuters.

“I recognized the fish as a shark since I have seen one on TV”, the fisherman, Karim Hassan Thamir says to Reuters.

The shark was pulled out of the river Euphrates near an irrigation canal, not far from Basra in southern Iraq and about 124 miles/200 km from the sea. According to Dr. Mohamed Ajah at Thi Qar University in Nassiriya sharks usually do not get that far up the river due to the barriers...

“In this case I believe that the shark was there for a long time without anybody discovering it”, says Mohamed Ajah to Reuters.

But many of the local population believe that the American military was behind the shark suddenly turning up. A teacher felt that it probably was a “75-percent chance” that they would have put the shark in the water, and one of the fishermen in the area agrees with him.

“This is hugely intimidating to us. Our children always swim in the river and I believe that there are more sharks there. I believe that the USA is behind this”, the fisherman Hatim Karim says to Reuters.

Now we know where Donald Rumsfeld disappeared to. I wondered when he'd pop up again.

Television News Is Bad For Morale

STUDIES HAVE SHOWN that most television news leaves the viewer depressed and anxious. Just by the nature of the media, with no pernicious or malicious intent on the part of journalists or reporters (or at least it isn't necessary), our impression while we are being informed is that there's nothing we can do about what we are seeing. The problems shown on the screen are too big or too far away or too permanent to do anything about. This sort of news nurtures a pessimistic view of the world.

That's part of the problem. The other part is that our brains have a negative bias which makes the information about danger and violence compelling. Even if you don't want to watch it, your brain's reaction to the images almost compel you against your will.

The combination of these two facts makes television news bad for your morale if the news program says anything about terrorism.

One research team edited news programs into three categories: Negative, neutral, or upbeat. People were randomly assigned to watch one category of news. The ones who watched the negative news became more depressed, more anxious about the world in general, and had a greater tendency to exaggerate the magnitude or importance of their own personal worries.

News is usually presented from a point of view similar to the negative bias of depressives. It is a fact that feelings of helplessness and hopelessness cause health problems. And studies have shown that the greater majority of network news is about people with no control over their tragedy. Christopher Peterson, one of the first researchers to show that pessimism harms health, said,

"What the evening news is telling you is that bad things happen, they hit at random, and there's nothing you can do about it."

That is a formula for pessimism, cynicism, and their inevitable result: anxiety and demoralization.

In a study of network news, seventy-one percent of the news stories were about people who had very little control over their fate.

Pessimism produces a feeling of helplessness and leads very directly to depression and anxiety, mild or severe. This is not an opinion; it is a scientific fact. Pessimism makes people less capable of acting effectively, even in their own best interests. It produces apathy, hopelessness, lethargy, depression and anxiety.

Television news has a greater impact on depression and anxiety than news in print because you have no choice over what you take in, and visual images remain in the mind more easily.

Our nation is under attack. We are at war with a group dedicated to our destruction. You watch the news because you want to stay informed. That's understandable. But it is better to get your news from written sources. You're more in control of what you find out. If you watch the news on television, you must take steps to counteract the helpless attitude you are given along with the information.

How? By making sure you immunize yourself against helplessness by improving your explanatory style. We're talking about something different than "trying to be positive." To learn more about the difference, read this. In the meantime, watch television news sparingly.

The accused Madrid bomb mastermind acquitted even though he bragged that he planned the attack. Wait a minute you say? How can a court acquit someone who confesses to the attack? Well, it has to do with meaning – or like a famous liberal once said, “It depends upon what the meaning of the word 'is' is.

Israel says Hezbollah can hit Tel Aviv (and apparently the UN can't disagree)

UNITED NATIONS - Israel alleges that Hezbollah militants in Lebanon have rearmed with new long-range rockets capable of hitting Tel Aviv and tripled their arsenal of land-to-sea missiles since last summer's war, the United Nations secretary-general said in a report Wednesday.

Ban Ki-Moon said the reports of Hezbollah's rearming are a cause of great concern for the stability of Lebanon.

"Israel has stated that the nature and number of weapons in Hezbollah's control constitutes a strategic threat to its security and the safety of its citizens," he said.

Israel claims Hezbollah's long-range rocket force is stationed in areas north of the Litani River and that most of the new rockets, including hundreds of Zilzal and Fajr generation rockets, have a range of 155 miles, "enabling them to reach Tel Aviv and points further south," the report said.

"Israel also claims that Hezbollah has tripled its shore-to-sea C-802 missiles and have established an air defense unit armed with ground-to-air missiles," Ban said.

While Israel has not provided the United Nations with specific intelligence due to the sensitivity of the sources, Ban said several speeches by Hezbollah's leader Hassan Nasrallah in the past few months "seem to confirm these Israeli claims."

Belated Ramadan Celebration

The ominous clouds over Rufford Primary School symbolize the gathering storm of the Islamification of the West. I'm seeing a lot of symbolism these days. Part of my ramping-up process, no doubt.

This October 31, 2007 article, "Teachers' Muslim Dress Order," in its entirety:

A SCHOOL was yesterday accused of MAKING teachers dress up as Asians for a day – to celebrate a Muslim festival.

Kids at the 257-pupil primary have also been told to don ethnic garb even though most are Christians.

The morning assembly will be open to all parents – but dads are BARRED from a women-only party in the afternoon because Muslim husbands object to wives mixing with other men.

Just two members of staff – a part-time teacher and a teaching assistant – are Muslim.

Yesterday a relative of one of the 39 others said: “Staff have got to go along with it – or let’s face it, they would be branded racist.

“Who would put their job on the line? They have been told they have to embrace the day to show their diversity. But they are not all happy.”

The day aims to belatedly mark Eid, the end of Ramadan.

Sally Bloomer, head of Rufford primary school in Lye, West Midlands, insisted: “I have not heard of any complaints.

“It’s all part of a diversity project to promote multi-culturalism.”

Don't you just love the beginning of the article? The teachers had to dress up as "Asians." And what is this nonsense about a belated celebration? Can the oh-so-multicultural wait until the next Ramadan to push their agenda? I guess not. They are pressing their advantage, and the targets acquiesce and appease.

HERE, from one of my earlier postings, is a reminder as to what Ramadan celebrates — the codification of militant Islam. From this Islamic source, which I cited in my posting about Ramadan:

No one was aware of the importance of the outcome of the Battle as the Prophet (S.A.W.) himself. We might read the depth of his anxiety in his prayerbefore the beginning of the Battle when he stood up supplicating his Lord:

God this is Quraish. It has come with all its arrogance and boastfulness, trying to discredit Thy Apostle. God, I ask Thee to humiliate them tomorrow. God, if this Muslim band will perish today, Thou shall not be worshipped.

This battle laid the foundation of the Islamic State...

In public and secluded locations, Western nations are, in effect, being forced to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, but not at the point of the literal sword. Rather, the compulsion is political correctness, multicultural, and the fear of losing one's job — all of which serve as weapons of the cultural jihad.
