Iran to launch homemade submarine

Thumbnail image for hunley.jpg

JPOST:

Days ahead of the Annapolis peace conference, Iran flexed its military muscles on Saturday, announcing plans to unveil a new homemade submarine and navy destroyer later this week.

Iranian Naval Commander Admiral Habib Sayyari said Saturday that the navy would launch a homemade destroyer called Jamaran and a submarine called Ghadir on November 28.

Ghadir is a religious holiday which marks the day Shi'ite Muslims believe the prophet Muhammad gave his last sermon and confirmed Ali ibn Abi Talib's appointment as his successor.

ghadir.jpg

Sayyari told the Iranian Fars News Agency that Iran's military capabilities served as a deterrent, but: "If the enemy makes a mistake, he will receive such a powerful second strike that he won't be able to stand up."

Iran has boasted in the past that its new Ghadir-class submarine could not be detected and was capable of firing missiles and torpedoes simultaneously. According to Globalsecurity.org, Iran's Navy has at least three Russian-built SSK Kilo-class submarines.

In August, Iran test-fired a new submarine-to-surface missile during war games in the Persian Gulf. Iran's current arsenal includes several types of torpedoes, including the Hoot, Farsi for "whale," which was tested for the first time in April and is capable of moving at some 357 kph, up to four times faster than a normal torpedo.

Sayyari told the news agency that his troops were closely monitoring US maneuvers in the region. "No move in the Sea of Oman, the Persian Gulf or the Strait of Hormoz could remain hidden from our eyes. The naval force is in full control over the region and monitors all the military moves of the enemies in the region," he said.

A must read for this week..KEN TIMMERMAN : SHADOW WARRIORS

Ever wonder how a bureaucracy day by day grinds away at a presidential directive?
shadow_warriors.jpgEver wonder why a guy fighting the good fight gets sentenced to 12 years for living 5 miles from the Maryland border?
Ever wonder how Levin et al run the show to maximize political damage, even though it damages america?
Ever wonder how Chalabi got to be seen as slime?
Ever wonder why certain leaks which are always damaging to America keep coming up?
Ever think about how senior officials undermine actions they disagree with?

Ever wonder why a Jay Garner who aided a kurdistan for 10 years got fired for the same job in Iraq?
Ever wonder how Bremer managed to screw it all up in a few weeks?

Ever want to know just how much domestic political considerations really trump victory over jihad?

One of those moments when you think Ann Coulter was on to something

  1. Saudi official rules out handshake with Israelis
  2. Saudis Object to USA being aghast at 200 lashes for objecting to gang rape
  3. 1,500 Saudi terrorists 'militants' freed after counselling
  4. Terrorists target Army base — in Arizona

And let's remember....

Republican or democrat doesn't seem to matter.
With such priorities and common sense, what is the future?

Let's get this straight...if Saudis continue to teach hate in school, NOTHING IS DIFFERENT.
They are the enemy.
The heart of its motive force.
The Iranians are the adrenals.
There appears to be no brain since the ultimate outcome is cockroaches will win from Morocco to the Chinese border.

Time to end it

As the civil war over Vlaams Belang (not the compulsory Counterjihad conference) mutates into a degrading slime of personal condescension, superiority, arrogance, venom, vendetta, ego, paranoia and silliness we can all see this takes on a life of it's own, apart from the issues, which by themselves, on the facts are not capable of changing our minds, hearts or suspicions.

There can be no doubt this entire mess can be construed to be stereotyped by both sides as the socialist fake conservative dogooder pontificating PC multiculturalists VS the crypto fascist white power KKK bedsheet hiding whackos.

How far do we want to go?

As Ollie once is quoted to have said .... we have all sat too long on this for any good we have or can do.

This is now like a major league baseball player in a cocktail lounge at 2 AM. Nothing good can happen.

It is time to stop right now.

Annapolis And "The Jewish Question"

From Bernard Lewis:

On the Jewish Question
By BERNARD LEWIS
November 26, 2007; Page A21 , Wall Street Journal

Herewith some thoughts about tomorrow's Annapolis peace conference, andthe larger problem of how to approach the Israel-Palestine conflict. The first question (one might think it is obvious but apparently not)is, "What is the conflict about?" There are basically twopossibilities: that it is about the size of Israel, or about itsexistence.

If the issue is about the size of Israel, then we have astraightforward border problem, like Alsace-Lorraine or Texas. That is to say, noteasy, but possible to solve in the long run, and to live with in the meantime.

If, on the other hand, the issue is the existence of Israel, thenclearly it is insoluble by negotiation. There is no compromise position between existing and not existing, and no conceivable government of Israel isgoing to negotiate on whether that country should or should not exist.

PLO and other Palestinian spokesmen have, from time to time, given formal indications of recognition of Israel in their diplomatic discourse inforeign languages. But that's not the message delivered at home in Arabic, in everything from primary school textbooks to political speeches andreligious sermons. Here the terms used in Arabic denote, not the end of hostilities, but an armistice or truce, until such time that the war against Israel can be resumed with better prospects for success. Without genuine acceptance of Israel's right to exist as a Jewish State, as the morethan 20 members of the Arab League exist as Arab States, or the much largernumber of members of the Organization of the Islamic Conference exist asIslamic states, peace cannot be negotiated.

A good example of how this problem affects negotiation is themuch-discussed refugee question. During the fighting in 1947-1948, about three-fourthsof a mllion Arabs fled or were driven (both are true in different places) from Israel and found refuge in the neighboring Arab countries. In the same period and after, a slightly greater number of Jews fled or were drivenfrom Arab countries, first from the Arab-controlled part of mandatoryPalestine (where not a single Jew was permitted to remain), then from the Arabcountries where they and their ancestors had lived for centuries, or insome places for millennia. Most Jewish refugees found their way to Israel.

What happened was thus, in effect, an exchange of populations notunlike that which took place in the Indian subcontinent in the previous year, when British India was split into India and Pakistan. Millions of refugeesfled or were driven both ways -- Hindus and others from Pakistan to India,Muslims from India to Pakistan. Another example was Eastern Europe atthe end of World War II, when the Soviets annexed a large piece of eastern Poland and compensated the Poles with a slice of eastern Germany. Thistoo led to a massive refugee movement -- Poles fled or were driven from the Soviet Union into Poland, Germans fled or were driven from Poland intoGermany.

The Poles and the Germans, the Hindus and the Muslims, the Jewish refugees from Arab lands, all were resettled in their new homes and accorded thenormal rights of citizenship. More remarkably, this was done withoutinternational aid. The one exception was the Palestinian Arabs inneighboring Arab countries.

The government of Jordan granted Palestinian Arabs a form ofcitizenship, but kept them in refugee camps. In the other Arab countries, they wereand remained stateless aliens without rights or opportunities, maintainedby U.N. funding. Paradoxically, if a Palestinian fled to Britain orAmerica, he was eligible for naturalization after five years, and his locally-bornchildren were citizens by birth. If he went to Syria, Lebanon or Iraq, he and his descendants remained stateless, now entering the fourth orfifth generation.

The reason for this has been stated by various Arab spokesmen. It isthe need to preserve the Palestinians as a separate entity until the timewhen they will return and reclaim the whole of Palestine; that is to say,all of the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and Israel. The demand for the "return"of the refugees, in other words, means the destruction of Israel. This ishighly unlikely to be approved by any Israeli government.

There are signs of change in some Arab circles, of a willingness toaccept Israel and even to see the possibility of a positive Israelicontribution to the public life of the region. But such opinions are only furtivelyexpressed. Sometimes, those who dare to express them are jailed orworse.

These opinions have as yet little or no impact on the leadership.Which brings us back to the Annapolis summit. If the issue is not thesize of Israel, but its existence, negotiations are foredoomed. And in lightof the past record, it is clear that is and will remain the issue, untilthe Arab leadership either achieves or renounces its purpose -- to destroy Israel. Both seem equally unlikely for the time being.

Teacher In Teddy 'Insult' Faces 40 Lashes

A British teacher is facing 40 lashes in a Sudanese jail if convicted of insulting Islam's prophet by letting children name a teddy bear Mohammed.

Locked up: Gillian Gibbons
Locked up: Gillian Gibbons

Gillian Gibbons, 54, from Liverpool, was arrested on suspicion of blasphemy on Sunday.

Ms Gibbons allowed her class of seven-year-olds at the Unity High School in Khartoum to name a teddy bear Mohammed as part of a lesson about animals' habitats.

behead_everyone.jpg

Mohammed is sacred to Islamic philosophy and the penalty for blasphemy is 40 lashes, a large fine or a jail term. The British Embassy in Khartoum confirmed the arrest.

A source close to the school said one teacher was angered by the naming of the teddy bear and complained to the headmistress.

Ms Gibbons was a deputy headteacher at Liverpool's Dovecot Primary School from 2002 to this July when she left for Sudan.

Her MP, Louise Ellman, told Sky News: "This is very worrying. I understand Ms Gibbons is a very respected person, she is held in the highest regard and is seen as a person of the highest integrity.

"I'm in touch with the Foreign Office and it's right that they should be working hard to bring about a positive end."

There is no specific, or explicit ban in the Koran on images of Allah or the Prophet Mohammed - be they carved, painted or drawn.

However, chapter 42, verse 11 of the Koran does say: "[Allah is] the originator of the heavens and the earth... [there is] nothing like a likeness of Him."

The fear is that images could give rise to idolatry but in this case the response in Sudan, which has been governed by strict Islamic Sharia law since 1983, has been unusually harsh, said Hassan Aberdeen, a researcher at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies.

"It seems that the parents made an issue of the teacher calling an animal Mohammed," he said. "Calling him a dog or a pig is insulting, but this is just a teddy bear."

"This could be more to do with who is saying it than what is being said. It might not have been an issue if this was a Sudanese person.

"The fact that this was a European teacher is highly likely to be one of the key causes."

Oh, For God's Sake

How does one respond to a totally silly allegation? Well, this is IBA so you'd think I'd do it with mockery. But, guess what, in this case, I won't, because I care for the people who are making the allegation too much to mock them.

Baron and Dymphna at Gates of Vienna are saying IBA doesn't have any non-white babes of the week. The best I can tell, they are trying to prove that I am a racist.

a

Anyone who has read this blog on a regular basis would know that I am a techtard. I don't even know how to create my own html links. Therefore, the Infidel Babe Archives were always maintained by a friend of mine who is no longer working with IBA.

I don't know why he never posted Salma, or Lil Kim, or Beyonce, or Ayaan Hirsi Ali. But, he didn't.

So, there's the truth; a noble word to use with regard to such a stupid subject.
Next subject to be discussed; did you ever compare size in the locker room? Yes, or no, (I'm no homo)?

Bin Laden To Air Message To Europeans

Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is to address a message to the European people over the terror network's media wing Al-Sahab, SITE Intelligence Group said on Monday.

"A new message is forthcoming from Osama bin Laden, the head of Al-Qaeda, addressing the European people," it said.

The message has been produced by As-Sahab, the multimedia arm of Al-Qaeda, it said, without giving a date for the message or specifying if an audiotape of video was to be broadcast.

"The announcement of this impending release was posted to Jihadist forums today," said the US-based SITE Intelligence Group.

It said the message carried a statement "urging Jihadists to distribute this notice to various Western sites to 'convey to them the reality of losing their war and facing the reality of the unseen truth'."

It's kind of funny, I was just wondering this morning what the hell had happened to Al Qaeda. They haven't threatened us directly much as of late.

Oh sure, they're telling each other they plan on shooting up shopping malls, but there haven't been any good World Wrestling Federation-style verbal smackdowns recently.

Well, here we go.

Annapolis? Sure, As Long As We Don't Have To Touch A Jew

I stole the title from JoshuaPundit. I think it sums up the Annapolis Summit perfectly:

... the Saudis and the Arab League were quoted as having grudgingly agreeing to attend Annapolis, but with the Saudi Foreign Minister warning the US that `there would be no public handshakes with Israeli officials.'

for the Arabs, this is not in any sense about `negotiations'.According to Arab League chief Amr Moussa, the Arab countries are there specifically to make sure that Mahmoud Abbas doesn't offer any concessions to Israel, and sticks explicitly with the Saudi ultimatum calling for a return to the pre `67 lines...other wise they won't be bound by it.In other words, there's nothing to negotiate. As the Saudis have said before, either Israel surrenders or faces war.

Greg puts it very well...

Until the Arabs are willing to concede the legitimacy of Israel and its undeniable right to exist within secure borders, there is absolutely nothing to talk about. Indeed, the Israelis should not be attending Annapolis without a firm, explicit agreement to those points from every other participant.

Frankly, I am ashamed of my President and his Secretary of State for not insisting upon those as the minimum standard for any Arab state to be allowed to attend the Annapolis summit -- or for any government official of those countries to be allowed to set foot upon American soil (and yes, I do include embassy staff and UN representatives in that statement).

For six decades the Arabs have tried to make the Middle East "Judenrein", seeking to impose in the Land of Israel the same solution that Hitler sought for Germany seven decades ago.

I went to a rally at Jerusalem's France Square

It's also called the Paris Square. Here's the report about this:
"I'm very sorry to say we have a weak and very dangerous prime minister, possibly the most dangerous Israel has ever had," MK Zvi Hendel (NU/NRP) said Monday evening at a demonstration protesting the Annapolis peace conference organized by the Council of Jewish Communities in Judea, Samaria, and the Gaza Strip (Yesha).

Thousands of right-wing activists took part in the rally in Jerusalem's Paris Square and police closed streets in the surrounding area, including main thoroughfares such as Rehov Keren Hayesod, Rehov King George, and Sderot Ben Maimon.

Earlier, 15,000 people participated at prayer rally at the Western Wall for the failure of the Annapolis parley.

At Monday afternoon's demonstration, speakers denounced the Annapolis conference and asked whether the government officials taking part in the talks really represented the Jewish people.

Speakers also said that Israel was run under a "constitutional dictatorship."
Here's also a video of Congressman Eric Cantor from One Jerusalem's special rally that took place yesterday:

Good Ole Bono A La Ronbo

I think you'll be surprised to hear what Bono had to say about the war on terrorism when interviewed in Rolling Stone magazine recently. (Note: It starts out with the usual crap, but it gets better as you go along.)

Ronbo Soldier gives us the lowdown:

Bono’s interview was recently quoted somewhere for his advice that the US follow Clinton’s example in sitting down with the IRA in Northern Ireland, and sit down with Al Qaeda. Bono says the Clinton administration ran the IRA idea past him at the time, but he disapproved of the it, not wanting to “dignify” the IRA, because they'd “put bombs in supermarkets, and many people have lost their lives.”

But now, says Bono:

I was wrong. Clinton did exactly the right thing in talking to the Provisional IRA and other extremist elements. Now they have to do the same, in my opinion, with Hamas, and they have to do the same with Al Qaeda. You have to involve them in dialogue.

He doesn’t exactly explain how dialoguing with religiously intransigent enemies is done. I’ve never approved of the IRA, but neither Sinn Fein’s original declaration if independence, nor its present electoral manifesto, ever called for the destruction of even their bitterest enemy--Great Britain.

In sharp contrast, both Hamas an Al Qaeda have been utterly consistent in their refusal to moderate their most immoderate fundamental demands--all of which require somebody else dying in large numbers. According to the Hamas Charter of 1988, Israel and the Jews must die:

The Arab states surrounding Israel are required to open their borders to the Jihad fighters, the sons of the Arab and Islamic peoples, to enable them to play their role and to join their efforts to those of their brothers among the Muslim Brothers in Palestine. The other Arab and Islamic states are required, at the very least, to facilitate the movement of the Jihad fighters from and to them. We cannot fail to remind every Muslim that when the Jews occupied Holy Jerusalem in 1967 and stood at the doorstep of the Blessed Aqsa Mosque, they shouted with joy: “Muhammad is dead, he left daughters behind.” Israel, by virtue of its being Jewish and of having a Jewish population, defies Islam and the Muslims. “Let the eyes of the cowards not fall asleep.”

According to the 2002 Al Qaeda manifesto entitled “Why We Fight America,” many Americans are supposed to die:

What happened to America [on 9/11] is something natural, an expected event for a country that uses terror, arrogant policy, and suppression against the nations and the peoples . . . America is the head of heresy in our modern world, and it leads an infidel democratic regime that is based upon separation of religion and state and on ruling the people by . . . laws that contradict the way of Allah. . . . [Therefore], we have the right to kill 4 million Americans - 2 million of them children - and to exile twice as many and wound and cripple hundreds of thousands. Furthermore, it is our right to fight them with chemical and biological weapons . . .

Bono is too sanguine about the efficacy of “compromise” in wartime.

But I give him credit at least for not speaking to Rolling Stone's readers from the lollipop fantasyland wherein most of his fellow celebrity sages dwell.

For instance, while he said he didn’t agree with Paul Wolfowitz that the Bush administration effort to plant democracy in Iraq would work, (I took it from pragmatic reasons), he also told Rolling Stone:

I want to be very, very clear, however; I understand and agree with the analysis of the problem. There is an imminent threat. It manifested itself on 9/11. It’s real and grave. It is as serious a threat as Stalinism and National Socialism were. Let’s not pretend it isn’t.

Bono also refused interviewer Anthony DeCurtis’s invitation to blame Bush's initiative in Iraq for all current global problems:

“There was a plan there, you know. I think the president genuinely felt that if we could prove a model of democracy and broad prosperity in the Middle East, it might defuse the situation.”

The French "Youths" Are At It Again

Youth springs eternal in the city of lights:

PARIS - Dozens of youths clashed with police and set fire to buildings in a Paris suburb on Sunday after two teenagers were killed in a crash with a police car.

The pair were riding on a stolen motorcycle when the accident happened on Sunday in the town of Villiers-le-Bel, north of Paris, a police union source said.

France’s worst urban unrest in 40 years broke out in the northeastern Paris suburb of Clichy-Sous-Bois in November 2005, after two teenagers died electrocuted in an electricity sub-station after apparently fleeing police.

The circumstances in this case, however, were different. [Imagine that. – ed.]

“It was not a chase but apparently a traffic accident,” a police source said.

The town’s police station caught fire and that of the neighbouring town, Arnouville-les-Gonesse, was ransacked, the local authority said. A Villiers garage was set ablaze and fires were put out before they could spread in a neighbouring garage and a petrol station in the same town.

An exellent analysis from Gandalf at Up Pompeii:

... there has been another incident in France north of Paris, where two youths aged 15 to 16 on one of these lethal mini-moto’s had a RTA with a police car, neither were wearing helmets and both died. The police officer driving the car was injured in the face and was taken to hospital. The police have been trying not to give the Muslims their Al Dura moment, so when a large crowd of Muslim youths gathered at the scene there was no attempt by the police to secure the area to carry out forensics.

At this point the crowd started complaining that the police were not there doing that, which is plainly rather stupid when any police going there is likely to be attacked, which happened a bit later when an officer who went to the scene was severely beaten.

So they started to riot, destroying a row of shops including a McDonalds, setting fire to a car dealers and the police station and ransacking another station in a nearby town, one youth was arrested.

Many people call the French police cowards, but I know that they are told to only use their weapons in a real life or death situation, they are told to not intervene if the violence is likely to get worse if they do so which will result in Martyrs for the jihad. They know that the Muslims are just waiting for any excuse they can find to start the riots again, there have been numerous attacks on the police that have not been reported where the police have acted with great restraint while under severe attack and while many of us in the anti-Jihad movement realise that the longer we leave it the worse it will be, we should recognise their real bravery to prevent this even if we do not agree with it.

What happens next, well I expect another period of riots and car burning will start, I wonder how Sarkozy will deal with this, this could now be one of those defining moments if the Muslims push their luck, I guess this is where we start to hold our breath...

UPDATE

Here we go typical Islamic death speak, a picture of rage boy would go down well here...

A brother of one of the dead teenagers, Omar Sehhouli, said the rioting "was not violence but an expression of rage".

And now we have the typical Muslim lies:

Witnesses have accused the police of leaving the scene and of preventing local people from trying to help the youngsters as they lay in the road.

So if the police left the scene (to flee a lynch mob), how on earth did they prevent the local people from helping the two as they lay in the road? I suppose we should expect a typical Muslim answer to that little question.

It also turns out that the mini-moto was stolen

ADDITIONAL UPDATE

Gangs of youths used guns against police, according to one police union, as they torched some 30 cars and looted shops and buildings. Twenty-five police and one firefighter were injured, officials said. Calm was eventually restored just after midnight.

Its in French, but just to give you an idea of the amount of weapons being smuggled in for the coming war:

http://no-pasaran.blogspot.com/2007/11/europeans-ban-of-weapons-again-proves.html, basically in July they intercepted 52 complete weapons, 177 parts for various other types of weapons and 80kg of munitions, this was in Rouen, they also mention that in January around or near Marseille, they found 150 weapons of which 47 were AK47's. They mention that the weapons were for drug dealers in the immigrant areas which is mainly made up of Muslims. And what does the French government do, they tighten up the rules on legal ownership of weapons. You can be certain that the numbe of weapons that got through is a lot larger then the number intercepted.

Meanwhile a state prosecutor said she had ordered an internal police investigation for "involuntary manslaughter and failure to assist persons in danger" following the deaths of the two youths. If you were a policeman involved in a fatal accident close to one of these suburbs, would you hang around to be lynched by these calm collected and rational peace loving people, I certainly would not.

FURTHER ADDITIONAL UPDATE

Marie-Thérès de Givry, qui a déclaré lundi après-midi à la presse que trois "témoins" entendus dimanche soir avaient confirmé "la version des policiers". In other words Marie-Thérès de Givry after lunch declared to the press that three winesses interviewed Sunday night confirmed the police version of events.

I was hoping that this would be the case, now I just wait for the Muslims to prove once more that truth does not matter when it concerns their arrogance and stupidity, after all in Amsterdam they rioted for 5 days because a female police officer shooting dead a knife wielding Islamic maniac having already been severely wounded, how dare a infidel kill a Muslim even in self-defence. This will be how dare a police car have an accident that resulted in the death of two Muslims even if it was the fault of the two Muslims, well they have their martyrs, its dark in France and I am sure that the Molotov cocktails have been readied.

British Teacher Arrested In Sudan Over Teddy Bear Named "Mohammed"

The students named the bear, not the teacher. But now, because of the elegance of Islamic logic, the teacher is in trouble.

Islamic "culture" is a fucking joke, an oxymoron. Oh wait, how can I say that, they do create beautiful mosaics. But alas, a mosaic does not a culture make.

From the UK daily Telegraph (with thanks to Najistani):

A British teacher has been arrested in Sudan for allowing her seven-year-old students to name a teddy bear Mohammed, the British Embassy said.

Gillian Gibbons was detained yesterday on suspicion of insulting the Prophet Mohammed.

Colleagues of the 54-year-old teacher from Liverpool told Reuters they feared for her safety after receiving reports that young men were gathering outside the Khartoum police station where she was being held.

A spokesman for the British Embassy in Khartoum said: "The children chose the name because it is very common here.

"This happened in September and the parents did not have a problem with it.

"We are in contact with the authorities here and they have visited the teacher and she is in a good condition."

Robert Boulos, the director of the school, told Reuters that Ms Gibbons set up the project as part of a British National Curriculum course to learn about animals. This year's animal was the bear, and Ms Gibbons asked the children to name the stuffed toy.

Mr Boulos said the children came up with eight names including Abdullah and Hassan, but Mohammed proved by far the most popular.

Each child was given a chance to take the bear home and write a diary about what they did with the toy, Mr Boulos told Reuters.

The website for the Sudanese Media Centre, which has close ties with the country's government, reported that Mrs Gibbons could be prosecuted under "faith and religions" legislation.

It states: "Khartoum attorney office opens a claim under article 125 of the criminal law (insult of faith and religions) against a British national female teacher named Julian (sic) working for unruly school in Khartoum.

Storm Track Infiltration: Latest Harvest of Our Immigration Policy

One of the biggest arguments for closing the swinging door that is stands for our southern border is the threat of terrorist elements infiltrating the US. Lot’s of speculation as to who what and where – at least until now.

Fort Huachuca is the Armed Forces largest intelligence-training center and is located a stone’s throw from the Arizona-Sonoran border. Such a facility would make a temping target for terrorists. We’ve already seen that jihadists are not afraid to contemplate attacking a US military facility (Fort Dix, NJ) so the report that follows is being taken very seriously by the military.

This time producing the necessary personnel and weapons is much easier to do because of the disaster we call border security in this is country. Hat tip to Lizizpizt.
