Is He The One? Friends of Barack

Obama has strange and dangerous friends.

For instance, William Ayers, former Weather Underground terrorist, who said in 2001 that he didn't regrets bombing federal facilities, in fact, he wished he had done more.

Learn more about Obama's friend William Ayers and his wife Bernadine. From Powerline:

When Illinois State Senator Alice Palmer decided to retire in 1995, she hand-picked local left-winger Barack Obama as her successor. In order to introduce Obama to influential liberals in the district, she held a function at the home of Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn. This was, really, the beginning of Obama's political career, and it linked him forever with Ayers and Dohrn, with whom, as his campaign has acknowledged, he continues to have a friendly relationship.

Ayers and Dohrn were famous radicals, and fugitives from the law, in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Dohrn, actually, was the more famous of the two; she was the head, as I recall, of Students for a Democratic Society or one of its factions. Dohrn was crazy. She is the only public figure, to my knowledge, to approve publicly and enthusiastically of the Charles Manson murders.

Ayers was a would-be murderer of soldiers and policemen, but he wasn't a very good terrorist. He had the ill fortune to be the subject of a profile in the New York Times on September 11, 2001, in which he said that he didn't regret his attempted murders and only wished that he had planted more bombs.

In last week's Pennsylvania debate, Barack Obama was finally asked about his friendship with, and the political support he has accepted from, Ayers and Dohrn. Obama replied that Ayers had done reprehensible things forty years ago, when Obama was eight years old, and scoffed at the idea that Ayers's ancient history could be relevant. That was disingenuous, of course, given Ayers's 2001 regrets.

It turns out that we don't have to go back as far as 2001 to find that Obama's friends are as unrepentant as ever. Just last year, Ayers and Dohrn attended a reunion--no kidding--of what must have been the tiny remnant of SDS members who still haven't figured out that they were wrong about everything. Listen to what Bill Ayers, who hosted Barack Obama's first fundraiser, has to say about the United States. Not when Obama was eight years old, but in 2007:

At the same event, Obama's friend and supporter Bernadine Dohrn described the United States as "the monster." Obama was 47 years old at the time:

Barack Obama has declined to repudiate or distance himself from his neighbors, supporters and friends, Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn. There is a certain consistency of perspective among Obama's friends and mentors, which can be summed up in Jeremiah Wright's memorable phrase: "God damn America."

I don't know about anybody else, but I'm not either for a real OR a metaphorical white europe

UPDATE AT BOTTOM

With a slimy faux obsequiousness, equaled by dripping condescension, the disappointment in those who would have accepted both the country club KKK and Fulgencio Battista in the battle against communism over at Gates of Vienna accelerates as now they went after Robert Spencer for what has to be regarded as scant or no reason at all, LONG AFTER the racist Phillip DeWinter's failure to reject racism before the blogworld's listening audience, and long after this entire matter lay thankfully quiescent, if not forgotten.

There are those who feel that Gates didn't really mean to be offensive as they seemed to accuse Mr. Spencer of being in this for the dough re mi, and also of being a (now) useless 1st generation responder with words, when actions are called for.

If there is an explanation I'd sure like to hear it, but I think words have meaning. And sometime words are action.

Perhaps, somebody over there felt that the GREAT post about anti jihadism having nothing to do with race, was a slight to those who don't care if a white europe is the goal of some anti jihadists in Belgium, as long as the result is no, or quiescent muslims as a subset of the REAL goal - EIN VOLK.

My ultimate goal has nothing whatever to do with a white europe, metaphorical or not.

Gates either DOES associate itself with such an end, or is careless of it's meaning.

Sort of like a democratic candidate and his racist pastor.

OOOOH,,,,

From Gates to Spencer...

Mr. Spencer:

It was never my intention to demean you or your efforts.

I apologize to you and your readers if my words have given offense.

Nowhere in my comment do I say "mercenary." On the contrary, I used the word "honorable." Or rather I said that making speeches is "not dishonorable." In fact, it has a long tradition of value in a civilized society.

What I was trying to say further on is moot at this point, given the Greek chorus surrounding my initial comment. As I said to you in my email, I believe Peter Drucker was correct when he said, "communication is the act of the recipient."

Thus, if you found my remarks offensive then whatever I *meant* is quite beside the point. What matters is how you viewed them.

Once again, I am sorry for my ill-chosen words.

Germany Cracks Down On Radical Mosques

From the International Herald Tribune via Astute Bloggers:

Scores of German police officers carried out raids on Islamic centers in several big towns and cities Wednesday, detaining nine German citizens suspected of trying to establish a criminal organization and winning over converts to their radical form of Islam, prosecutors said. No terrorism charges were filed, they added.

The 16 raids, carried out by 130 police officers, took place in Ulm, Bonn, Berlin and Leipzig. The security authorities had been observing cultural centers, a publishing house and private houses for more than two years.

One of the main focuses of the raid was the Bavarian town of Neu-Ulm, where several raids have been staged over the past few years during anti-terrorist operations. There, according to the police, the Multi-Kultur-Haus, an Islamic cultural center, had become a meeting point for radical Islamists. At one stage the center was under surveillance by U.S. anti-terrorism agencies, according to media reports here.

Storm Track Infiltration: Britons Fear Race Violence

There have been many stories of how the UK is slowly descending into dhimmitude as their leaders through shovel after shovel of multicultural and politically correct dirt on the cultural grave of Briton.

What will save that country is obviously not its leadership but its common citizens who can see through the political BS that they are living in a multicultural utopia that their leaders shovel in order to maintain a uneasy peace with their Muslim population.

A recent poll in Briton bears this out.

Relearning, Rethinking

Not long ago, I proposed on this site the idea of boycotting the upcoming summer Olympics, comparing the Chinese crackdown of Tibetan protesters to the historical "Rape of Nanking" atrocities committed by the Japanese Imperialist invaders during WWII (and before). I was corrected by Pastorius for the comparison as being faulty. Pastorius is right. I am wrong to have made that comparison.

It has been said that the only thing we never know enough of is history. Quite true. When you learn something so startling that it makes you rethink everything you believed in, well, that is a rare admission! For example: Until 9/11 2001, I believed that Israel was evil and wrong and an oppressor of Palestinians, bulldozing their homes to steal the land beneath them. I believed all that I saw on the BBC. I believed Israel murdered Mohammed Al Durah. I was wrong. I saw how wrong I was on 9/11/01 when I watched Palestinians celebrating in the streets. I was shocked to see just how wrong I was about the Beeb from watching unabashed America Hate being spewed out by hosts of its talk shows and its America hating audiences in the aftermath. I was not prepared for such hate. It buckled my knees to have to suddenly question everything I thought was true. But I have been doing it, and am keen to do it on a regular basis: Take the following post from China Confidential concerning the "peaceful" Dalai Lama, and then go, read it all for yourselves. And be thankful that not all history has gone down the memory hole. Whether or not you may agree with the analysis of Andrew Pachter, his history is solid:

"The Dalai Lama's Revenge: Tibet's former absolute ruler, the exiled Dalai Lama, is out to split China. His "Greater Tibet" autonomy movement actually aims to cut off about a quarter of the country's current territory. He seeks a restoration of theocratic government over the so-called roof of the world--a strategically important, resource-rich region that was a model of backwardness and misery before Chinese liberation. Contrary to the appealing myth, Old Tibet was no Shangri-La. On the contrary, the land ruled by the teenage Dalai Lama with the help of his depraved monks and nobles, was a hellish place. More than 95% of the population were serfs or slaves with no human rights. Torture and brutality were commonplace. Big monasteries owned nearly everything. Sadistic monks raped women and children, drank the blood of the people--literally--from bowls made out of human skulls, and decorated their living quarters with wall hangings made of human skin. The skin of children was particularly prized for this purpose.

All of which is not to suggest that the Dalai Lama (who has urged the US to negotiate with Osama Binladen) wants to return to those horrific days, although he has never apologized for the Hitlerian atrocities, (my emphasis) oppression and exploitation that distinguished Old Tibet--birthplace of the swastika in the eyes of his prewar admiring Nazi visitors and lifelong Nazi and fascist friends--never admitted that the liberation and education of the serfs was the main reason the monks rose up (with the well documented help of the CIA during the Cold War) against China following the much needed intervention of the central government in Tibetan affairs. The Dalai Lama insists that he merely seeks autonomy for his homeland; but independence is his goal.

It is a prescription for violence. China is a multicultural, multinational country; and Tibet has always been and will always be a part of China. It will never allow a split. Independence for Greater Tibet could lead restive Muslim areas to try to split from China, too. And there is no telling what could happen if the center does not hold. A series of internal conflicts could consume millions of lives.

Should pro-independence forces in Taiwan try to use the opportunity of chaos to declare formal independence from the mainland, a conflict in the Taiwan Strait could conceivably endanger the security of the world by pitting two nuclear powers--China and the US--against each other. Washington is still seemingly obligated to help Taiwan--which China regards as a renegade province--to defend itself. "

The next time, hereafter, I begin to swallow, hook, line and sinker any claim for "Independence" from some far-flung dung heap, I will immediately question the motives of those who want independence. The gold standard is and will always be America, with a constitution enshrining individual rights to assemble, to a free press, to owning a gun and freedom to worship. Anything less is a sham.

Must-Listen!

Pamela Geller's interview of the aunt of Amina and Sarah Said, who were murdered in the Dallas, Texas, area a few months ago.

From what I've listened to in that interview, the murders of these beautiful girls was that of a Moslem honor killing.

Right here in the United States!

Spend an hour to hear what the girls' aunt had to say.

Why aren't the media giving this story wall-to-wall coverage?

More on the Carter problem

In her latest column this week, Michelle Malkin talks about the continuing problem with the disgusting Jimmy Carter. More available here.

He most definitely must have his passport revoked, and even quarantined/confined to his house that he doesn't even deserve. He is a one-man menace who led to much of Israel's current problems, and it's clear that he's incorrigable.

And while we're on the subject, I strongly recommend reading Prof. Paul Eidelberg's book called Sadat's Strategy, to learn about the evil entity Anwar Sadat really was.

Obama and the future of space exploration: NOT

During my lifetime, I have watched the pursuit of space grow. As a child, I watched in awe as a man walked on the moon. The trials and tribulations of the explorer program and "robots" on mars.

I have one more endeavor I would like to experience, a man/woman on mars. But, if Obama becomes president, that may not happen, since he plans on essentially destroying the space program. Will it be back up to speed in time for me to experience Mars?

Here is the final paragraph of a post that explains it all.

So there it is. The Global Social Worker aims to shift funds from space exploration to federal pre-schools. Or is it to an alternative fuel? Hard to figure.

All this suggests the most poignant irony of this entire campaign season.

Barack Obama, the candidate who has often been portrayed by some in the media as Kennedyesque, would leave the space exploration legacy of JFK sitting idle on the beach. Watching the boats burn.

al_Sadr to be Dealt With "Privately"

A relative of renegade Muqtada al-Sadr has indicated that the Sadar family of Iraq is planning to deal with the renegade rebel son as an internal family matter.
Alseyed Josef Alsadar a member of the honored Sadar family wrote a letter to Alrafedain news (Nida'a al Rafidain News) which said: "Muqtada al-Sadr has tainted the reputation of this respected family, and the family disowns Muqtada. We are as innocent of him as the wolf is of the blood of Josef (Biblical (Old Testament I believe) and Koranic reference). The family is working on ways to discipline him with in the family. Consultations for this are held at the highest level to come up with punishments for its rogue son.
_GatewayPundit
This statement from a senior member of the Sadar family comes as the rebel cleric al-Sadr threatens to unleash new violence upon Iraq in the coming days and weeks.
Sadr threatened to end the cease-fire after Iraqi troops took over the Mahdi Army-dominated neighborhood of Hayaniyah in Basrah and ejected the Sadrist political party from government-owned offices in the city. He openly said he was prepared to revolt against the government.

"Do you want a third uprising?” Sadr said, referring to the two Mahdi Army uprisings in Baghdad, Najaf, and the South in April and August 2006. "So I direct my last warning and speech to the Iraqi government to refrain and to take the path of peace and abandon violence against its people. If the government does not refrain and leash the militias that have penetrated it, we will announce an open war until liberation." __LongWarJournal
The rabble following of Sadr has stockpiled weapons for the threatened uprising across the Shia regions of Iraq, although one huge stockpile has been uncovered in Karbalah.
Security forces on Monday seized a huge weapons cache in western Karbala, the police chief said.... “A large security force accompanied by explosive ordinance disposal team moved to al-Tar, a highland area containing a number of caves, to search for explosive based on intelligence tips,” Brig. Gen. Raid Shakir, Karbala security operations commander, told Aswat al-Iraq - Voices of Iraq - (VOI).
The security official pointed out “forces found 20 mortar of different calibers, 72 rocket-propelled grenade(RPG), 54 roadside bombs, ammunition boxes, wires, 23 kg TNT, 33 hand grenades, 14 explosive controls, blast wires, and more than 1000 rifles along with their bullets.”.....Al-Tar is an archaeological site whose history dates back five thousand years characterized by highland caves. ...“The armed groups hid the weapons in such a remote fearful area to prepare for armed actions in the city,” the official added...Karbala, the second holiest Shiite city after Najaf and the capital city of Karbala province, lies 110 south-west of Baghdad. _Source
As more Iraqis grow weary of constant warfare and terrorist atrocities, the number of citizen reports to authorities of arms caches and gathering places for terrorists--both Shia and Sunni--are increasing.

1429 vs 2008

PIGTIME
It's 1429 on Planet Islam today, and in their latest attempt to bring us back in time with them, the enemy wants us to submit to Mecca Time. They're feeling their goats, people, all because we're not taking them on the way they ought to be taken on.

For the record, that's Pigman's pigksin leather mitts about to smash that clock.

Bardot A Member of France's National Front Party

Apparently, our Babe of the Week is a supporter of the National Front.

Well, goodbye to her.

I understand the temptation to paint Brigitte Bardot as yet another example of the crushing of dissent brought upon the West by the conquering armies of Islam, or in this case their voluntary operatives on the Left and the multicultural fetishists who run most of Europe's social-democracies.

For one thing, because the problem does exist, and its weight on what is left of Europe's freethinking souls is proving lethal. No argument here.
However, when it comes to Brigitte the Uberbabe From the Past, there's a bit more than meets the eye—and I'm not talking about the lavish display (Now on
NSFW-DVD!), of the generous shapes and forms of her youth that did more to establish her reputation than her true acting skills, really.

No, the problem with this chronologically reversed Johan of Arc—and incidentally the reason why you're not about to see me cheer for her anytime soon—is in many ways similar to the one that caused the recent fratricidal and frankly counterproductive row between Little Green Footballs' Charles Johnson and Gates of Vienna1: namely Europe's old Fascists and Neo-Nazis piggybacking a legitimate anti-Islamist cause at their convenience, in a bid to blur the line between our liberal democracies' fight for survival and their own totalitarian agenda. Bardot is but one small crab in that fetid European cesspool of politics, but the interesting point beyond her own person is that in this instance, every party involved is equally deserving of contempt.
I mean, seriously:

1) Brigitte Bardot (eventually) married Bernard d'Ormal, whose ties with the top echelon of Jean-Marie Le Pen's National Front apparently helped convert her from an annoying animal rights bully (re The Castrated Sexually Harrassing Donkey Incident—Don't ask) to an annoying animal rights bully with a neo-Fascist outlook on homosexuals, immigrants and contemporary American foreign policy2—as well as Islamic and Jewish3 rites and customs even though, typical of the Muslim Victimization Propaganda Machine, the one point that made the headlines and therefore the Great Google Database in the sky, is her attacking the formers' slaughter-fest of Eid-al-Kabir only.

2) The MRAP, who typically turned a legitimate critic of a religious and political agenda (Islam) into a racist issue again and is pressing charges, is an offshoot of the French Communist Party—that should be remembered for its record of being the longest lasting Western European Stalinist party on par with the Portuguese one (if memory serves)—is a vicious and ugly NGO combining the worse of Islamo-Leftism. The MRAP has been waging a war of terrorisme intellectuel ("intellectual terrorism") with the active support of the French State (yes, up to and including the Sarkozy administration) for years now, and definitely positioned itself at the tip of the "anti-islamophobic"4 spear when its president Mouloud Aounit called for the "penalization of blasphemy" on the state owned TV channel France 3 back in 2005. Think CAIR in bed with the Federal government and a legislative machine all too willing to vote whatever it takes to selectively limit freedom of speech (on top of the drastic limits already in place in the Vth Constitution of the French Republic, of course) and pave the way to Shariah.

3) The French courts, a hive of all shades of Leftist red, from bloody to pink, now increasingly mixing with the Green of "militant" Islam (can you guess the resulting tone of this additive color mix?). For the record, that's the system that gave us Robert "F* the Victims" Badinter and Jacques Vergès, noted for befriending Pol Pot, defending Klaus Barbie, Carlos the Jackal, as many Palestinian hijackers as possible, offering his help to Milošević and Saddam Hussein, and answering, when asked if he would have defended Hitler "I'd even defend Bush, but only if he agrees to plead guilty." Need I say more?

4) The French state that appoints and revokes judges and prosecutors, and is still playing its dangerous balancing artist game between its dreams of restoring La Grandeur de la France by opposing what every two bit Gallic politico and policy analyst calls "the American hegemony" (yes, up to and including the Sarkozy administration. Wake up fer cryin' out loud) and its delusional hopes to control France's growing and unassimilating5 Muslim populations and outposts by pandering to the increasingly pressing demands of the Islamists while trying to keep its pants as clean as possible—and not being very good at it, judging by the numerous Car-B-Qs around France's major cities that will take place tonight just like every other night, all year long.

War of the (religious) people's update

The number of Palestinians who support attacks against Israelis continues to rise and more than half of them favor suicide bombings, according to a poll published this weekend.

The survey also showed that Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh is stillmore popular than Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

The number of Palestinians who support attacks
against Israelis continues to rise and more than half of them favor
suicide bombings, according to a poll published this weekend.

Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh.

The percentage of Palestinians who support "resistance
operations" against Israeli targets rose from 43.1 percent in September
2006 to 49.5% at present. Support for this option was highest in the
Gaza Strip, at 58.1%, with 24.5% in the West Bank agreeing.

Palestinians who support bombing attacks against Israeli
civilians rose from 44.8% in June 2006 to 48% in September 2006 and to
50.7% now.

So tell me, HRW, and the UN, and Dr. R M(oron) Falk, special 'rapporteur' on the jews, how on earth one can commit collective punishment on those who wish your women and children to be killed?

Again, more Gazans support these operations (65.1%), compared with 42.3% of Palestinians in the West Bank.

The Palestinian public is divided on the rocket attacks on
Israel: 39.3% said the firing of these rockets was "useful" to
Palestinian national interests, while 35.7% said they were harmful.

The poll results showed a
general feeling of frustration with regards to the future of the
Palestinian cause and the peace process in light of the ongoing Israeli
military operations and the split between the Gaza Strip and the West
Bank.

Both Fatah and Hamas continue to lose support among the Palestinians, and the level of trust in political leaders also dropped.

Support for Abbas fell from 18.3% in November to 11.7% this
month. The poll also showed that fewer Palestinians are satisfied with
Abbas's performance.

Support for Haniyeh also went down, from 16.3% in November to
13.3% this month. The same applies to Fatah's imprisoned leader, Marwan
Barghouti, whose popularity moved down from 14.3% to 12.8% during the
same period.

With regards to confidence in the political parties, support
for Fatah decreased from 40% in November to 32.5% this month, while
Hamas's popularity went down from 19.7% to 17.8%.

The poll, conducted by the Jerusalem Media & Communications
Center, covered 1,190 Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza Strip
and has a margin of error of 3 percentage points. It was held from
April 8-13.
