URGENT NEWS FOR DEB LIPSTADT: Holocaust a 'big lie': Iran govt spokesman

Iran's government spokesman on Tuesday branded the Holocaust a "big lie" created to place xin_052070505182789038833.jpgthe Islamic republic's arch-foe Israel in the Middle East, the state IRNA news agency reported.

"The Holocaust is a concept coming from a big lie in order to settle a rootless regime in the heart of the Islamic world," Gholam Hossein Elham told a conference on Gaza in central Iran's religious city of Qom.

Ah yes, lovely Qom, home to the well of the mahdi appearance.

Hello world? These guys will have nukes sometime this year.
They are not going to launch a Shahab 3 whose radar track can be followed back to Iran.
It will be their most successful endeavor which will deliver it by truck, or barge, or in parts to be assembled..Hassan "better that all the jews gather in Israel" Nasrallah, and his genocidal hizballoid freakish ghouls, probably based on U-235 whose NMR spectra cannot be readily identified.

But yet even the Times UK, laments, that 'little can be done'.
1937 alert, people.

The Transparent and Open no lobbyists update..George Mitchell, Dubai, and CHILD TRAFFICKING?

Jan. 27 (Bloomberg) -- George Mitchell, President Barack Obama's special Middle East troubleshooter, was chairman of a law firm that was paid about $8 million representing Dubai's ruler in connection with a child-trafficking lawsuit.

The DLA Piper law firm did legal and lobbying work on the case, which alleged that Dubai's Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al- Maktoum and another official used children kidnapped from other countries to ride as jockeys in camel races. The firm lobbied federal agencies, members of the U.S. House and about two dozen Senate offices, including those of Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in 2006 and 2007, according to Justice Department foreign-agent disclosures.

So stupid it's actually funny.

The Quran and Mein Kampf ..

Manfred Gerstenfeld lays it down on Geert

Can the Koran be compared to 'Mein Kampf'?

Last week the Amsterdam Court of Appeal ruled that the attorney-general should bring a case against Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders. This leader of the right-wing Freedom Party has made a number of extreme remarks about Islam and Muslims, such as calling the Koran the "Islamic Mein Kampf" and referring to "fascist Islam." The Amsterdam court contends that these and other such statements "affect the dignity of Muslims." The attorney-general's office had previously concluded that these and similar remarks were not punishable.

Wilders was initially shocked by the court's decision, but he may well turn the case into a show trial outlining the threat to Western society from violent and hate-inciting forces in the Muslim world. His lawyers only have to go through websites such as FrontpageMagazine, Jihad Watch and MEMRI to bring overwhelming proof for two central claims.

The first is that there are many radical Muslim authorities, Sunni and Shi'ite, whose incitement to murder and other crimes is similar to that of the Nazis. The same goes for Muslim lay leaders such as Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The second claim is that these inciters are rarely expelled from Muslim communities, or even strongly contradicted.

Wilders' lawyers may bring evidence of multiple calls for genocide intended to encourage the establishment of Islamic rule over the world as well as fatwas and statements by Muslim religious authorities supporting suicide attacks, or comparing non-believers to animals. All these are usually based on the Koran and hadiths (Islamic religious traditions).

The lawyers could quote Sheikh Muhammad Sayyid Tantawi of Al-Azhar University in Cairo, the highest-ranking cleric in the Sunni world, who has come out in favor of suicide bombings. Tantawi has also called Jews the descendants of apes and pigs. Only the choice of animals differs from Nazi language; they preferred rats and vermin.

Sheikh Yousef Al-Qaradhawi, living in Qatar, is a spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood who has approved suicide bombings against Israeli women and children. Despite this, Ahmed Marcouch, a prominent Amsterdam member of the Labor Party, in 2005 asked the municipality for a subsidy to bring Al-Qaradawi to the Netherlands. Leaders of several Dutch Muslim religious bodies did the same. The Amsterdam municipality refused.

DUTCH PUBLIC opinion is divided on the court decision. Fifty percent oppose the trial of the parliamentarian, while 43% are in favor. A similar percentage expects that relations with Muslims will worsen as a result of the case. Theodor Holman, a columnist with the Amsterdam daily Het Parool, writes that he also thinks the Koran is as bad as Mein Kampf.

The court decision has further increased Wilders' popularity. A new poll gives the Freedom Party 20 seats in parliament, as against the nine it currently holds.

Wilders is the only internationally known Dutch politician, and has gained much publicity with his 2008 documentary Fitna, which highlights Islam's radical aspects. Over the past several years, hundreds of death threats have been made against the heavily guarded politician. This is the likely reason for the statement by his lawyer that in the meantime he wants to remain anonymous.

The trial is likely to draw major international attention. The Wall Street Journal wrote that the Dutch are importing Saudi rules, as the court seems to be suggesting that people who blaspheme God can be punished. An international campaign to finance Wilders' defense has already started.

There are Jewish aspects to this case as well. In the past few weeks participants in various anti-Israeli demonstrations in the Netherlands have been shouting anti-Semitic slogans, including "Hamas! Hamas! Jews to the gas!" Several of these demonstrations were organized by major Dutch Muslim organizations, yet the police took little action. Even more important is that Wilders' lawyers are likely to bring at least some proof for his positions from the huge collection of Muslim calls for the extermination of Jews and Israelis. Yet other aspects are what the trial's verdict will mean for speaking about the Bible.

Whatever the outcome, Wilders' notoriety is likely to increase. If he is convicted, many will view him as a martyr, in light of increasing evidence that the greatest threat to humanity - including to moderate and dissident Muslims - indeed comes from the world of Islam. If Wilders is acquitted, many will begin to repeat his statements.

In either case the Amsterdam court may have opened a Pandora's box of a yet-unknown size.

Danger and opportunity are ONE

Here we go on the strategic side ... Carter/Clinton redux

The last nuclear warhead for the USA was manufactured about 1986.
It's plutonium trigger has been decayed by natural radiation ever since.
No one KNOWS what this means.
The weapons' safety may be in question, and it's reliability certainly is.
And now.....TIME MAG:
"The Reliable Replacement Warhead is not about new capabilities but about safety, reliability and security," Gates said in a speech in the week before last November's election. In an article in the current issue of Foreign Affairs, released in early December after Gates was tapped by Obama to stay on at the Pentagon, Gates repeated that refrain. "Even though the days of hair-trigger superpower confrontation are over, as long as other nations possess the bomb and the means to deliver it, the United States must maintain a credible strategic deterrent," he wrote. "Congress needs to do its part by funding the Reliable Replacement Warhead program -- for safety, for security and for a more reliable deterrent." RRW basically trades explosive force for greater assurance that new warheads would work predictably in the absence of tests, which the U.S. has refrained from conducting for nearly two decades to help advance nonproliferation goals.
So we are talking about REPLACEMENT one for one of warheads 22+ years olds, andOhio_Class_Tubes_Open_and_Full_lg.jpg trimming down significantly, the explosive force of the arsenal.

But Obama doesn't buy that logic. Shortly after taking the oath of office on Tuesday, he turned what had been a campaign promise into an official presidential commitment: the new Administration "will stop the development of new nuclear weapons," the White House declared flatly on its website, with no equivocation, asterisks or caveats.

Obama and Gates are "at loggerheads on this," says Michael O'Hanlon, a military expert at the Brookings Institution who has specialized in nuclear issues.
Now, let's pretend you are Putin looking at the election, the majority party, the stated polcies and promises...what are you thinking?
We still have ~10,000 weapons. How many are worth keeping, maintaining?
Is the entire land based missile force worth keeping?
Can we move out deterrent to more cruise missiles both in the navy and air force?
Should we replace land based warheads with undersea warheads?

None of these issues can be addressed or DETERRENT (not war fighting) capabilities can be addressed while Obama maintains a no more nukes outlook. We may end up with fewer less destructive warheads that last 40 or 50 years, and a more credible deterrent, but not with the current outlook.

The democrats are far more interested in appearance rather than substance on this issue.
Somewhere Hu Jintao, Vlad, Kim, Ali Khamenei and Dinner Jacket are smirking confidently that Bambi is in the forest.

It's not just about 9th century beards with AK47's in caves.
That's the way it is

Dutch News Report On The Prosecution of Geert Wilders

Listen to the female government official interviewed in the middle of this report. She actually say, it is ok for Wilders to have these opinions, "but we do not like this in our country."

She backs up the "we" by making a distinction between the political powers and the social powers in the country.

Clearly, she is saying that the political powers intend to silence the social powers, or in other words, the people.

This is an admission that, in the Netherlands, the government rules, not the people.

The Real Assault on Israel is underway..

ONE:

President Obama Does First Formal TV Interview as President with Al-Arabiya

January 26, 2009 6:29 PM

As special envoy to the Middle East, George Mitchell heads off to the region to begin work on negotiating a cease fire between Israel and the Palestinians, President Obama has sat for his first formal TV interview with the Arabic cable TV network Al-Arabiya, ABC News has learned.

The interview was taped this evening and is set to air at 11 pm ET, as Mitchell is in the air and on his way to the region.

Based in Dubai, Al-Arabiya estimates that it has a potential audience exceeding 23 million in the Gulf region.

Why would Obama grant an interview to THIS? Why did he make his first foreign call to a holocaust minimizer/denier?

There is no middle in this dispute between quranic genocidal mass murderers, mafia genocidal murderers and their intended victims except in hopeful delusion.

Mr. Obama is dangerously naive if he thinks there is any solution except in the HEART of the palestinian peoples

TWO:

NEW YORK - Former President Jimmy Carter says Israel will face a "catastrophe" unless it revives the Mideast peace process and establishes an independent Palestinian state.

Carter pointed out in an interview with The Associated Press on Monday that Arabs will outnumber Jews in the Holy Land in the foreseeable future.

He said that would leave Israel with three options: expelling many Palestinians, keeping the Palestinians but depriving them of equal voting rights, or giving them equal voting rights, which would give the Palestinians a majority.

He said that with the third option, one would no longer have a Jewish state.

THREE, 60 minutes, NOTE THE WORDING:

Demographers predict that within ten years Arabs will outnumber Jews in Israel, the West Bank and Gaza. Without a separate Palestinian state the Israelis would have three options, none of them good. They could try ethnic cleansing, drive the Palestinians out of the West Bank, or they could give the Palestinians the vote. That would be the democratic option but it would mean the end of the Jewish state. Or they could try apartheid - have the minority Israelis rule the majority Palestinians, but apartheid regimes don't have a very long life.

No one should harbor ANY DOUBT what this is about. This is the delusion that to be anti zionist is not anti semitic in the final analysis. Israel is a sanctuary after 2500 years of repression, expulsion, murder, pogroms, bigotry, genocide, and then repression, expulsion, and murder all over again since 1945. Nothing is any different. Israel is mandatory for jews to survive IN THIS WORLD. Therefore ZIONISM IS MANDATORY if jews are to survive.

The rest is delusion.

Bill Kristol Agrees to Debate Matt Damon After Actor's "Idiot" Slam - How do you like them apples?

On Sunday afternoon Weekly Standard editor and New York Times columnist Bill Kristol -- in an email exchange with Big Hollywood -- agreed to debate Matt Damon on his Hollywood home turf after being informed the 38-year old actor ridiculed Kristol in an interview in the Miami Herald.

"He's an idiot -- he wrote that we should be grateful to George Bush because he won the Iraq war. We! Won! The! War!"

Odds anyone?

As the sponsor of the event, Big Hollywood is offering $100,000 to Damon (or to the charity or carbon credit of his choice) to publicly debate Kristol at a mutually agreed upon time, date and venue.

Does anyone think Damon will try and duck somehow?

During the last election cycle the liberal activist Damon -- who briefly attended Harvard University -- also heaped scorn on John McCain's vice presidential pick, Sarah Palin:

"You do the actuary tables, there's a one out of three chance, if not more, that McCain doesn't survive his first term, and it'll be President Palin.... It's like a really bad Disney movie, 'The Hockey Mom.' Oh, I'm just a hockey mom from Alaska, and she's president. She's facing down Vladimir Putin and using the folksy stuff she learned at the hockey rink. It's absurd."

So much for the bankrupted failed haberdasher, and lonely alcoholic failure. Or the two self taught and struggling men, one whom got his own Tiny Fey sobriquet as the original gorilla from both a member of his cabinet and the head of the armies, and the other referred to as someone who never left his home state except with another man's wife.

Damon is no stranger to left-wing politics. His Oscar-nominated screenplay, "Good Will Hunting," co-written with Ben Affleck, was inspired by anarchist Boston University historian, Howard Zinn.

According to Wikipedia:

Damon included a reference to A People's History in his film Good Will Hunting. In a confrontation with his psychologist, played by Robin Williams, Damon's character tells him: "If you want to read a real history book, read Howard Zinn's A People's History of the United States. That book will knock you on your ass." Damon also read the latter half of People's History for an audiobook released February 1, 2003.

Pastorius here: I hope Epa doesn't mind me cutting in, but I found a video of Matt Damon brushing up on his debating techniques in preparation for his tussle with Kristol. I thought you'd all want to see it.

Leaders Without Testicles

In view of recent events in the Netherlands, I am reprinting this essay. It first appeared on my website in September 2007. It was relevant then; it is even more relevant today.

Our leaders are too weak to deal with the problems we are now facing, problems caused by the political system which masquerades as a religion, otherwise known as Islam.

The 'New Dark Age' which I wrote about in my book, The Dawning of a New Dark Age, which first appeared in November 2003, really is dawning alarmingly fast. Faster than anyone could ever have imagined.

I entitled this essay, Leaders Without Testicles. The title was pertinent when I wrote the essay; it is even more pertinent today. The liberal élite in The Netherlands are but a glowing example of what cravenness will do to freedoms: It will destroy them!

This was the essay I wrote back in 2006. I hope you enjoyed reading it then; and I hope you will enjoy reading it now. It needs to be read in the light of the darkness that is falling on The Netherlands, a country which till only very recently was a beacon of enlightenment and freedom! – ©Mark

The essay:

On a day in which the world has come to learn that one of the greatest tenors of all time, Luciano Pavarotti, died, a man who encapsulated much that is great about the West, we are reminded of much that is great about our civilization, and, if we sit back and think about things, we should be reminded, too, that this great civilization is threatened both from without and from within: By Islam. Islam is gaining in strength even here in Europe, and there, across the Pond, in America. Yet nobody has the balls to deal with the problem. The problem is akin to a snowball rolling down a mountainside: It keeps growing in size even as it rolls!

Throughout its history, Islam has always, but always, won the day, and subsumed each and every culture* it has ever entered and into which it has been allowed enter and put down its roots. I assure you here and now, Europe will be no exception. The writing is already on the wall. Our future, if we do nothing about this development, is plain for all to see. It will be Islamic, and it will be neither free nor democratic.

Alas, we have no leaders with testicles, no leaders with balls, no leaders with spunk! Bush has proved himself to be a pussy – ineffectual in the extreme. As indeed was Blair. He was all hot air; all form and no substance. This current incumbent of Number 10, Gordon Brown, refuses to acknowledge still less deal with the problems we face with Islam in our midst. In fact, it was reported only recently that a Muslim group is the largest source of funding outside of the unions here in Great Britain. Ladies and gentlemen: It is high time we took stock!

Islam, if it is allowed to keep establishing itself here in the West, will destroy, nay annihilate, all that we have to come to hold dear. Make no bones about it, Islam is out to destroy all that is great about Western culture: great wines, great music, great literature, great art, and of course our great Judeo-Christian tradition. There will be no more Pavarottis, no more great music, no more great wines, no more great literature, no more great anything. The only thing that will be great is Allah, Allahu akbar! All will be destroyed if Islam is allowed to gain the upper hand. Islam is ruthless. It allows no-one and nothing to block its path to power.

Western politicians are ignorant of the force and power that is Islam. They are also weak, craven, and ineffectual. They faff around dealing with inconsequential matters when, in fact, they should be dealing with the one and only thing that matters today: The growth of Islam here in the West.

If they want to live under the yoke of Islam, then they are welcome to do so. But please move to the Islamic world to do so! I do not wish to live under Islam’s iron grip; and when I say this I believe I speak for many, nay for the majority.

These spineless leaders of ours want all the power, all the glory, and all the accoutrements of power; but one thing they do not want: They do not want to have to take the tough decisions which actually come with high office.

This, of course, is totally and utterly unacceptable. If they want the money, the big houses, the chauffer-driven cars, etc, then they should accept their responsibilities with equanimity. They need to tell Muslims that if they want to stay here in the West, then they have to start integrating and live like the rest of us. They have to stop thinking that they are superior, for superior they certainly are not. If anything, quite the reverse is true! What, I ask you, is superior about a 'culture' which condones public beheadings, the stonings to death of women, the cutting off of hands and feet for theft, and the suppression of women, homosexuals, and others who do not conform to their narrow ideals?

I think I speak for many, many people when I say that I am tired, sick to death, of politicians taking all the perks of high office, yet being totally unwilling to deal with the main danger that faces the people of the West today, totally unwilling to protect the people from darkness, protect the very people they are supposed to represent.

Many people, of course, are ignorant of the dangers that lie ahead of them; they are too busy earning a living to care. But they have a rude awakening awaiting them. This is 1938 all over again! In 1938, in their heart of hearts, people knew that Hitler would become a huge problem, but they refused to admit that such would be so. So it is in 2007! People, in their heart of hearts, know that Islam is a huge problem. But so many are afraid to admit it. I invite you to do so now. Go on! Be truthful with yourself! Admit to yourself what you already actually know!

Personally, I find it incredibly disconcerting that Islam has been allowed to grow here in the West, grow to the point that it is going to be extremely difficult to solve the problem. It is hard to believe that Western politicians are so ineffectual, so weak, so stupid, so without courage, so without testicles. But this is actually so.

But fight back we must if we are to rescue the West from the New Dark Age! Ask yourself one simple question: If the shoe were on the other foot, would they allow you, an infidel, the same freedoms to establish your religion (and political system) in their countries?

*It took centuries and much bloodshed to reverse Islam's influence on Spain.

Indoctrination Watch: University of Washington Makes Obama's Dreams From My Father Required Reading For Incoming Freshman

From the Seattle Post Intelligencer Blog:

Obama's "Dreams from My Father" picked for UW Common Book

The University of Washington picked a hot topic for its 2009 "common book," which all incoming freshmen will be asked to read next fall.

Picture

Barack Obama's "Dreams from My Father" was selected by a committee to be the university's fourth shared reading experience.

Here's how a UW spokeswoman describes the book:

Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance is an honest portrayal of Obama as he embarks on a journey of self-discovery as a young man after learning of his father's death an ocean away in Kenya. Separated from his father at the age of two, Obama knew his father only through the well-rehearsed stories told to him by his grandparents and mother. At the age of twenty-one, Obama decides it is time to finally confront the truths behind his racially-divided identity.

Here's something to ponder:

Before the outbreak of WWII Hitler's biggest source of income was royalties from Mein Kampf, which also was compulsory reading.

The Most Successful Military Campaign In American History

This from the Gateway Pundit: Before President George W. Bush leaves office it's only fitting to give credit to where credit it due. Although you would not know this from the anti-Bush media or democrats, the US military has waged the most successful major military campaign in American history these past 8 years.

The War on Terror has been an amazing success not only in what has been accomplished but in what it has cost in lives. Two brutal regimes were obliterated, Al-Qaeda was decimated, fledgling democracies were established. But, most importantly, the US was able to do this while sacrificing the fewest number of soldiers monthly than in any other military campaign in US history. In fact, the US today is losing fewer soldiers each month in Iraq and Afghanistan combined than the average number of soldiers lost monthly during the Clinton years (~35 to 78).

Here's how the War on Terror stacks up with other US Wars:

The population today in the US is much larger than when these previous wars were fought. If you factor that in it really puts things into perspective.

In Afghanistan:

The US has suffered 604 fatalities in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. The Taliban and Al-Qaeda has suffered 12,000 fatalities. 28,700 militant Islamists have been captured.

In Iraq:

The US has suffered 4227 fatalities in Iraqi Freedom. More than 19,429 Al-Qaeda and Islamic militants have been killed. Over 18,900 insurgents have been captured.

Not only that but as Vice President Dick Cheney said this week we've achieved most of the objectives in Iraq that were established in the spring of '03:
We've got the violence level down to its lowest level since '03. We've had three national elections, a constitution written, a new government stood up, new army recruited and trained, the Iraqis increasingly able to take on responsibility for themselves. And we've now entered into a strategic framework agreement with the new Iraqi government that will provide for the ultimate withdrawal of U.S. forces.

You could not have asked for much more than that in terms of the policies that we started on in '03.
It's only fitting that this is reported before President Bush leaves office.

Obviously, you won't hear this from the liberal media.

It certainly doesn't fit their narrative that Bush's War was the worst foreign policy mistake in US history.

UPDATE: Terry Gain adds this:
1. More innocent Iraqis were being killed and dying because of sanctions when Hussein was in power than have been killed during the liberation of Iraq. The war has saved lives even as it’s being fought.

2. The vast majority of the killing of innocent Iraqis has been by the domestic insurgents and foreign terrorists. Americans have killed a small percentage of the innocents who’ve been killed.

3. The American war against Iraq ended on April 9, 2003. The war against Iraq by domestic insurgents and al Qaeda followed. That war is also largely over. The pacification of Iraq is continuing apace.

4. The pacification is also proceeding inexorably. Iraqis show every sign of keeping the gift of democracy they have received from the United States.

5. Calling for an end to the war – as have Reid and Pelosi – when it is insurgents and al Qaeda who are continuing the war is a brain -dead Democrat talking point. Even Obama understands that if the United States withdraws prematurely the hard won victory over the insurgents may be reversed.

6. Premature withdrawal will cause the war to continue, not end.
UPDATE 2: Bill Kristol added this on Bush's legacy today:
But I don’t think keeping us safe has been Bush’s most impressive achievement. That was winning the war in Iraq, and in particular, his refusal to accept defeat when so many counseled him to do so in late 2006. His ordering the surge of troops to Iraq in January 2007 was an act of personal courage and of presidential leadership. The results have benefited both Iraq and the United States. And the outcome in Iraq is a remarkable gift to the incoming president, who now only has to sustain success, rather than trying to deal with the consequences in the region and around the world of a humiliating withdrawal and a devastating defeat.
