It's Final, Britain is gone

Outrageous.

from AFP via Hot Air:

Iran's president to deliver Christmas message on British TV

LONDON (AFP) — Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will deliver an alternative Christmas message on British television to rival Queen Elizabeth II's annual address, broadcaster Channel Four said Wednesday.

Ahmadinejad will give a brief speech which will go out on 1915 GMT on Christmas Day.
A Channel Four spokesman said the message is a spiritual one and includes Ahmadinejad's wishes for seasonal goodwill.

Channel Four has invited a figure in the news to deliver an alternative Christmas message to the queen's annual broadcast every year since 1993 but Ahmadinejad is the most high-profile guest yet.

The channel's head of news and current affairs Dorothy Byrne said: "As the leader of one of the most powerful states in the Middle East, President Ahmadinejad's views are enormously influential.

"As we approach a critical time in international relations, we are offering our viewers an insight into an alternative world view."

Britain and Iran have rocky relations, particularly over Iran's disputed nuclear programme.

In October, Foreign Secretary David Miliband warned of a possible nuclear arms race in the Middle East if Iran was allowed to press ahead unchecked with a uranium enrichment programme.

In response, Tehran accused Miliband of having "strong ties with Zionists".

Ties between the two countries were aggravated last year when Iran seized 15 British sailors and marines in disputed waters in the Shatt al-Arab waterway between Iran and Iraq.

The troops were released safely nearly two weeks later after a televised meeting with Ahmadinejad.

Ain't it so. Santa Mullah. . . Coupe years ago it was the woman in a burqa. This is just another big step down. I hear next year they're trying to get Zawahiri for it. . .

I wonder which broadcast Prince Charles (pbuh) will watch?

Channel Four is the station that did the Undercover Mosque video.

It would be interesting to see what Mark Alexander and Ray Boyd would have to say about this story.

The Shia overlord to speak to his dhimmi subjects.

It is an insult to the entire population of Britain that this wanker will even be broadcast there, especially opposite Her Royal Majesty. This little dispicable piece of pig feces represents one of the most hostile and repressive regimes on the earth, which, hopefully, will soon be eradicated from our fair planet. The matter totally disgusts me.

I say it's an outrage. Channel 4 is a shizoid type minority channel who's aim is to shock and outrage anybody whether with disgusting overtly sexual output or opposing religious viewpoints.

They court controversy to boost viewing figures and in no way represent the downfall of Britain so please no comments in that vein. They are irrelevant and mean nothing to us.

I have just submitted this complaint to Channel 4 - there are really no words to explain how unbelievably disgusting this is!

I think it's absolutely disgraceful you are broadcasting a Christmas message from Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as an alternative to the Queens speech.

Christmas is a time for peace and goodwill amongst men - something that Ahmadinejad cannot possibly stand for.

The fact that you are giving airtime to someone who has vowed to wipe Israel off the map (and not in a metaphorical but physical sense) and is pursuing the construction of nuclear weapons that would readily achieve this goal is an affront to all Westerners.

Has it escaped your attention that his regime makes no attempt to hide their goal to progress the spread of Sharia law on a global scale? That his country bankrolled the Shi'ite Al Qaeda militants who until recently were blowing up allied serviceman and innocent civilians in Iraq? That his government imprisons those who speak out against them thus oppressing free speech? That the laws of Sharia in Iran mandate the execution of homosexuals, stoning to death of alledged adulters, punishment of rape victims unless they can provide three male witnesses who testify to seeing the act?

I think it is disgusting that a British Network would even consider this as an alternative to the Queen whose country has sacrificed so many lives over the centuries protecting the freedoms of our people and other people around the globe.

I would have thought Channel 4 who have often ventured into territories other networks wouldn't dare such as your excellent Dispatches program would have shown more respect for Western values than to give Ahmadinejad a portal to practice taqiya.

If you had any sense of patriotism or idea of what our country is destined to become if we continue this multiculturalist path you would cancel this broadcast and show something more appropriate such as a tribute to Theo Van Gogh or Pim Fortuyn who died in vein attempting to bring attention to the leviathon that one day we're going to have to face.

I fear this will not be the case and the broadcast will go ahead and yet more people will be fooled by the supposed 'peaceful' intention of these dark age lunatics.

Regardless, I would like a response to show how you can possibly justify such a broadcast.

Kind regards

Ray Boyd,

This is beyond an outrage. Ahmadinejad is a religious fanatic who has called for a second Holocaust. How about next Christmas, they have a Notorious Neo Nazi deliver a Christmas message. I wonder what that would do for their ratings.

Oh no!
There they go.
Brits on their knees,
Row upon row.

I guess surrendering quickly,
Beats surrendering slow.
But where's the moral outrage?
Your allies need to know.

Recall the price of freedom, Brits!
It costs a buck O five.
Won't you spare a penny then?
Just to stay alive?

Ray Boyd -- there is enough else to represent the slide and downfall of Britain capitulating to muslim demands. Is that irrelevant also? To be ignored as Sharia creeps, no charges and bulls, it's way in? I'll comment as I please and you may take it for what it's worth. No offense was aimed at you.

Have a good Christmas good sir.

MR,
One of the reasons I had commented earlier in this thread that I'd like to hear Ray Boyd, or Mark Alexander's opinions on this story is because they are on the ground in Britain, while you and I are in America.

There are many stories that come out of America which would make it look like Americans are capitulating.

I don't think it's true however. I don't have many Conservative friends. I have spent my whole life in the Media Business. My friends are lefties, gays, and America-"haters", but I know that when the chips are down, they really do appreciate their freedom to say fuck you to everything, if that's what they want.

Maybe some of the more aberrant masochists among us might want to be tied up and tortured, but most of us just want to get along and do our thing.

One day these idiot Islamonazis are going to push us a little too far (because they are evil and evil clouds the mind and breeds bad decision making) and then most people will be on board with smashing these idiots, even in many cases, nominal Muslims themselves.

Oh I agree absolutely we should hear their opinion. Just please don't ask me to stifle mine. (if his comment was not directed at my lead in then my bad and I do apologize).

Hell, most of my relatives are extreme lefties and America/Bush haters. Makes for interesting famiy gatherings, like the one in a few hours.

There are many stories from many western countries that look like they are conceding bit by bit, piece by piece. I'd have said the asme whether it was Britain, France, Germany or America. If we don't tend to the bit by bit piece by piece as loud as we can then, in a few years, we'll be standing around scratching our asses wondering what the hell happeened where did we go wrong?

I don't want to stifle Ray's opinion, or anyone else's for that matter. It's the variety of ideas and opinions that make this alliance strong and stronger. My umbrage was only with his last 15 words.

Again, good Christmas to you, Mr. Boyd and all the wonderful misfits that form IBA.

Pastorius said...

MR,
I understand. And, I agree.

I think Ray and Mark, as our resident Brits, get tired of hearing Britain picked on disproporationately by us Americans, who do form the preponderance of this blog and its comments.

midnight rider said...

Yeah, I could understand that. Just as we get tired of the French and British picking on us. And Americans picking on us, as well :>) It's endemic to this business I suppose.

Offense neither intended nor taken.

Now, who the hell stole my Wild Turkey. I've got liberal relatives to deal with and need a shot of courage.

Cheers! & into the breach!

Pastorious:

You hit the nail on the head. The problem ...?? is when it comes to some matters we have a very free media here in the UK. The TV stations broadcast stuff that the US networks wouldn't touch with a bargepole. Hence Obama mania because your media wouldn't ask the questions they should have asked and still should be asking.

What pisses me off are Americans that immediately jump in because some dhimmi/idiot in the "free media" comes up with the great idea of putting up a factually incorrect story - as has happened recently OR puts the evil leader of an enemy of freedom on our TV at xmas.

So, midnight rider, if you read my last fifteen words properly "in no way represent the downfall of Britain so please no comments in that vein" you will realise that it is all to do with commonsense.

Channel 4 does not represent the downfall of Britain. It is likely 99% of the population would condemn the broadcast and that includes the majority of Muslims who would certainly not want to live under an Iranian like regime.

If some Americans want to "slag off Britain" at every media led opportunity just take a break and remember our troops are doing the toughest job in Afghanistan with one killed on Xmas eve, and others killed on a regular almost daily basis. Have a look at my blog and see the troops sending presents to the Taliban:
