Most have a favorable opinion of the Muslim Brotherhood, and looking ahead to the elections, it has as much potential support as any of a number of political parties

By a 54%-to-36% margin, Egyptians want the peace treaty with that
country annulled.
Hizballah, HAMAS, and a resurgent Ikwhan in Egypt, perhaps ruling it, and an abrogated peace treaty with Egypt = REGIONAL NUCLEAR WAR.

Will Jordan stand alone with a peace treaty with Israel?
I doubt it.

Make NO MISTAKE, if the Arabs appear to be on the verge of a victory annihilating the state of Israel, they WILL USE all 200-600 weapons to ensure victory. Including on Iran.

Everyone ready for this?
This is PRECISELY the situation in 1966.
Israel surrounded by enemies, none of whom recognize her right to exist, on a hair trigger.

Abrogating that treaty, threatening to do so, alliance with HAMAS, any of those will turn out to be one the greatest mistakes in recorded history, and kill scores of millions, and desolate an entire region of the world.

The Egyptian people cannot begin truly governing themselves with such a cataclysmic mistake.

CAN THEY?

It is impossible to predict whether or not this unity government will successfully lay the foundation of Palestinian statehood. However, it is undeniable that the alliance between Hamas and Fatah reflects a significant political change.
