The daughter of a Hamas founder left Islam for Christianity and said she was taught to k*ll Jews and Christians, and that their Jesus returns to destroy the cross. 

Juman Al Qawasmi told CBN she was born in Qatar. Her father, Muhammad Al Qawasmi, was one of the early leaders of Hamas, and she was later married to a Hamas member in Gaza. ⠀ 

She said her parents taught her to hate Israel and Jews and Christians. She told the network, "We used to curse all the Christians and Jewish, we feel like we should k*ll them, because this is what Quran says." ⠀ 

She described the version of Jesus she was taught: he will come back, break the cross, k*ll the pig, and the trees and rocks will call Muslims to k*ll any Jew hiding behind them. She called the teaching crazy. ⠀ 

Doubts grew after she saw Hamas k*ll other Muslims and use fear inside Gaza, and she prayed every day from 2012 to 2014, "God, if you exist, I want to know you." During a 2014 airstrike she dreamed of her mother on a balcony and saw Jesus' face in the moon. ⠀ 

He spoke in Arabic and said "I am the God Jesus You are my daughter Do not be afraid." ⠀ 

She fled Gaza after her conversion because apostasy carries the d*ath penalty under Islamic law. She is now in a protected location. ⠀ 

Pew Research estimated 3.45 million Muslims in the United States in 2017 and projected 8.1 million by 2050, driven by higher fertility and continued migration. The same teachings Al Qawasmi described travel with that growth.
