But there are plenty of businessmen who would be as good, and not ones who are in the political class either.

Jack Welch comes to mind right away.

Now Trump exists because of the FAILURE of R's to deal with border(terrorism class concern) and trade (economy class concern).

Bernie exists because of the failure of the D's as they have become totally progressive to GO SOCIALISM, which is why Bernie is where he is

Both both of those failures exist BECAUSE the political class's interests are NOT those of the bases of the parties.

Big biz BENEFITS (profits) from an open border and free trade

Dem votes BENEFIT from open border

Lawyers and big govt (Dem interests) BENEFIT from high corp taxes and convoluted tax codes (GE has an entire DIVISION devoted to that) which continue to REWARD outsourcing with more profit in Wall Street (D and R mainline party interests)

ON and on.

Neither party has the interests of the middle class, entrepreneurs, independent minded people, or the poorer, or working class folks who heretofore could spend LUCRATIVE CAREERS making cars, steel, or electronic components and are now working at Dunkin, McD's or who knows what horrendous mind numbing, poor paying desperate situation.

The political class and the moneys that ensure the revolving doors among academia/big biz/ and banks simply have grown apart from the PEOPLE and have different needs to grow.

Thus the people are now divided as to the solution to this.

SOCIALISM
or NOT

This is why I wish Trump were more conservative altho he CLAIMS he has changed his mind about a lot of things.

I have a feeling unless things change, we are going to find outEpaminondashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04811906954763827459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19209018.post-55702488980635595292016-01-18T13:29:42.657+00:002016-01-18T13:29:42.657+00:00I agree with Nico on Bernie Sanders. The support h...I agree with Nico on Bernie Sanders. The support he receives means that America truly has morphed a Third World nation seeking a despot.

Trump is not a true Conservative. There is good and bad to that. Bad is, we really don't know what he would do, but we do know some of it would be not to the liking of Conservatives like me. But the good is, he will appeal to the same group of MOR people who voted for Obama thinking he would be a healer not a divider. In other words, there are a lot of Democrat voters out there who will vote for Trump believing that he will bring the Conservatives and Liberals together.

Additionally, as I have written here before, my experience working with the Democrat party in 1992 showed me that the Democrat party has ignored the will of a very very large percentage of it's constituents who wanted them - ALL THE WAY BACK IN 1992 - to stop the illegal alien invasion.

The people do not want this, and that is a powerful part of Trump's appeal.

I think Trump is melting down, because I think it is stupid to attack Cruz on the "Canadian" thing.

However, I could be wrong. That might appeal to the more angry people out there who really do seem to believe the elections are bought and paid for by Goldman Sachs.

What's interesting is they pick on Goldman Sachs, the company with the Jewish name. Over and over they pick on Goldman Sachs, yet they love Bernie Sanders. America is not Europe.

On the other hand, maybe a lot of the love for Trump may be the result of an anti-Semitic impulse.

I am musing here. I have no idea.

Pastoriushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03169561459129778670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19209018.post-10318126674397879192016-01-18T13:19:05.678+00:002016-01-18T13:19:05.678+00:00I could totally be wrong on this but I thought Tru...I could totally be wrong on this but I thought Trump's appeal was on immigration issues more than anything else. Cruz has been taking a hit as of late because of his support for increased number H1B visas. Obviously Trump is the only one who is able to finance his campaign without taking any donations (Bernie can't even do that, the senile ancient hasn't done anything in his life that's worth something).

What scares me about this whole election cycle is a couple of things. One of the worst things is that Sanders is actually getting support. I can see similarities between Latin American populists and Bernie Sanders: "I will take money from those that have and give it to you and then we'll all be rich!". This soon turns to hatred of anyone who is successful.Nicoenargnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19209018.post-29878706567364810022016-01-18T13:03:57.501+00:002016-01-18T13:03:57.501+00:00Now that Iran is legit on the oil market I can thi...Now that Iran is legit on the oil market I can think of no reason that oil should stop declining.

There is more supply from them, and KSA (IMHO) will keep on pumping and pump even more to keep the world happy with THEM as world supplier as the face off with Iran everywhere intensifies.Epaminondashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04811906954763827459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19209018.post-30423087257071376242016-01-18T11:56:25.943+00:002016-01-18T11:56:25.943+00:00Citibank may have a meltdown if oil prices continu...Citibank may have a meltdown if oil prices continue to tumble.
