From ABC Australia:
A speaker at a conference in Sydney's south-west says a revolution or a civil war may be necessary in order to create an Islamic state, or caliphate.
The meeting has been organised by the controversial Muslim group Hizb ut-Tahrir, which is banned in several countries overseas.
A number of politicians have called for the group to be banned here.
One of today's speakers, Ashraf Doureihi, told the audience action needs to be taken to ensure an Islamic state is created.
"It is important... [to move] collectively in the Muslim world to demand this change from such influential people in our lands, even if it means spilling onto the streets to create a revolution or staging a military coup," he said.
Hizb ut-Tahrir spokesman Wassim Doureihi has told the audience a number of speakers will address the meeting today and discuss ways of establishing an Islamic super-state.
"As we were here today, what is at stake is not just the destiny of the Muslim world but indeed the whole of mankind," he said.
Yeah, no kidding, huh?
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see you, John. Hope all is well with you.
It's like twilight zone dialog:
ReplyDeleteThey: We are going to kill you!
Us: Nah, we don't believe you. We need proof.
I see barbed wire and ships in the future..
ReplyDeleteEpa,
ReplyDeleteYou seem to be changing. Am I right about that?
I know for my part, I can say it is slowly dawning on me that if we don't find any moderate Muslims then separation will be the only solution.
My idea is that we simply decide that anyone who preaches Jihad, or is involved in the administration of a Mosque, media outlet, or school where Jihad is preached be rounded up and expelled from the West.
I'm guessing the number would be in the thousands.
This kind of mass expulsion would then have the effect of causing more Jihad-believing Muslims to come out of the closet, so we expel them as well. And then more would come out, and we expel them. And we keep doing this wash-rinse-repeat thing until we are left with only those Muslims who are decent people.
I wonder if the Jews, Gypsies, Slavs and others of the 1930's and early 1940's would be considered "Naziphobes"?
ReplyDeleteThere are moderate and liberal Muslims, and they are being bullied and shouted down by these radicals. We need to keep faith.
It doesn't help that the radicals seem to be such a well-funded minority in Islam, nor does it help that Islam so lends itself to radical interpretations.
The sooner we get unaddicted to Middle Eastern oil and stop sending our money to Saudi Arabia, the sooner these guys' allowances will be cut off.
