  2. I'm trying to figure out why he automatically plays everytime I click on IBA. It's hysterical but it does make it hard to concentrate on anything else.

    Happy ta see ya!!!

  3. It's part of his video embed code, but I don't know how to take it off.

I love the video, so I don't want to take it down, but I probably will after 24 hours. I think after 24 hours we should just link to his page.

  4. If I could download the video, I'd put it up on YouTube of Google Video. This way it would fix the problem. But the video on his site is linked from mms, not from http, so I can't download it.

  5. Robert Spencer has just challenged Dinesh D'Souza to a debate, anytime, anywhere. Seems D'Souza cited two of his books as barriers to our establishing understanding and solidarity with "moderate" Muslims. I had a vague notion of D'Souza as a reasonable sort, but now he has unexpectedly turned into a downright menace. And yes, his book is selling. Right on the heels of Jhimmi Carter's...

  6. OK, I found a way to disable the autostart feature. :-)

  7. Hey Watcher,
I'm glad you found a way to fix it, but don't think that upset me. That guy is so awesome, I thought, we've gotta leave it up for a day.

Guess what? You're gonna love this. I just booked The Kid From Brooklyn for my radio show next week.

That will be one out of control interview, huh?

    :)

  8. RevereRidesAgain,
Thanks for keeping us up to date on that. I didn't know DeSouza's book was selling, so I had been ignoring the issue.

I will no longer do so.

  9. It's not flying off the shelves like Carter's, but it's not just sitting there either. What I wonder about is, whom is it selling TO? There are no stats on that. In the context of Islam and Sharia, urging anti-jihadists to suck up to "moderate" Muslims by re-inforcing their longing for "law and order" sounds like pouring gasoline on a brush fire. As Spencer points out, D'Souza doesn't seem to know what he is talking about -- he claims that the Left has caused jihad (as opposed to enabling it) yet ignores the incendiary leadership of, say, the Ayatollah Khomeini.

Either D'Souza is monumentally ignorant of the nature of Islam (hard to imagine) or he has fallen into the "all religions are essentially good but Islam has been hijacked by the jihadists" mindset. The constituency I can see for that notion is vast -- all the non-thinkers and evaders who wish to believe that if we would just mend our own ways and try to get along with "others", all this nasty hatred and violence would somehow melt away. I can see how this would appeal to the same crowd who think the ME would be at peace if we pull out of Iraq and those nasty Israelis just try to be nicer to the PaliArabs.

This conflict is not something most people really want to think about in depth. They just want it to go away. So they grasp at straws.

  10. Pastorius,

I know it didn't upset you, I myself get annoyed when a video or an audio starts playing every time I hit the page. I use Firefox browser and a have installed the FlashBlock add-on, so any kind of flash audio/video/animation is prevented from autostart for me.

Let me know when the interview is, I REALLY don't want to miss it. :-)

P.S.: You must make RevereRidesAgain and Religion Of Peaces post as contributors, not just in the comments section. Do whatever it takes, including a blackmail.

  11. I've asked ROP. He didn't want to contribute. He wants to do what he does.

But yes, if Revere Rides Again would like to contribute, I would love to have her.

  12. Thanks for the invitation. All it takes is telling me how to do it. I don't have a blog currently though and no plans to start one. Can I still contribute?
