What is WRONG with all these people?
So by your logic, if Romney has received money from a homophobe or Clinton has received money from a woman (or a man by association) who has had an abortion, they should also give the money back?
ReplyDeletePeople do things that may or may not be morally reprehensible to others.
I, for example, think Christianity is evil and Christians are dangerous.
It is not for politicians to judge.
Politics is about consensus building.
My argument is airtight.
You are wrong.
You are justifier and apologist for white supremacists my friend.
ReplyDeleteYou want a consensus with the KKK, Stormfont, and every cretin at the CofCC?
GO FOR IT.
All Ron Paul had to do is to say .."I share no idea with such people, I reject ALL such endorsements, and I reject all such support. If I knowingly receive such funds, I will donate it to xxx charity"
But he, like Phillip Dewinter can't do it, because he knows HE DOESN'T WANT TO LOSE SUCH HELP, SUPPORT, MONEYS, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY...
Those kinds of people with no where else to go politically, will always stay by his side, so he won't alienate such a base.
You have found a tortuous airtight gymnastic logic to find yourself aligned with a Don Black instead of a Harry Truman, or an RR OR a Thurgood Marshall. All great men.
You are welcome to it.
And as usual...

Ron Paul is a farce. His supporters are partners with the KKK lite. And so is he.
End of the story as history will objectively measure this one
Have nice day
Even on insufficient coffee Anonymous' argument is coherent only if he is an Islamist, to whom all Christianity/Christians really are evil/dangerous. Because if he is merely a fellow atheist who is trying to tar all Christianity with that brush, then he's too infatuated with his own hyperbole to recognize that he's making a fool of him/herself.
ReplyDeleteI confess to having been skeptical at first about the importance of the white supremacist/ethnic nationalist/warmed-over neo-nazi creeping fringe of hangers-on but this has obviously become an ugly and significant problem. Given Paul's fundraising talents there have been questions about a third-party run, along with speculation as to which side he would hurt most given the bizarre mix of ideas animating his followers. More likely it would provide a platform for voices of undiluted poison that would spatter both sides. About the only useful result would be to lift the rocks under which such people are hiding.
BTW, has anyone else seen a bumper sticker roughly in the shape of the Odin's cross but with a crescent and star in the center and the words "Our God Unites Us"? It was on a car in front of me in traffic and I couldn't get a close enough look at what other symbols were there. It may be a variation on the goofy "COEXIST" sticker with the religious symbols all kumbayed together, but I wondered if it could be something more sinister (as opposed to even more stupid). I suppose it could be based on the We Are All People of the Book theme which makes it even more ignorant since Allah is not the same God so who are they uniting under?
'All Ron Paul had to do is to say .."I share no idea with such people, I reject ALL such endorsements, and I reject all such support."'
ReplyDeleteHe DID say that.
When? Please provide a link.
