Dr. Abd Al-Hamid Al-'Ubeidi, an Iraqi expert on Islamic law, aired on Al-Rafidein TV
Most of the time we act according to what is acceptable to most people, and indeed, most men do not marry a girl until she is of age. In some Islamic countries, the age of maturity can be 8 or 10 years. In Yemen, a girl might get her period at the age of 8. In cold countries, such as Russia, Belarus, Scandinavia, New Zealand, Canada, and so on, a girl might not reach maturity until she is 22 years old. She might not get her period until then. Therefore, the greatness of Islamic law is manifest in the fact that marriage is not just for pleasure. True, it is the basic objective for marriage, but there are some cases that require solutions.
Here then see a typical bride, except tin Roooosia I suppose.

Now what we have here, is a failure to communicate. Many criminals, the enemies of Islam, ask: "How could the Prophet Muhammad, at 52 years of age, marry 'Aisha when she was only 8 years old, and consummate the marriage when she was 9 years old?" I say to them: People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Why do you permit your young girls to fornicate? They consider it one of their liberties. Therefore, in these stupid countries, you rarely find girls aged 10 or 12 who are still virgins. They permit this. They have even legislated laws stating that if a girl is under the age of 18, and her girlfriend [sic] or whatever has had sex with her, she has the right to have an abortion. How can you permit the outcome without accepting the cause? Why do you allow your girls to have sex and say this is an individual liberty? It is okay to fornicate with girls there or force them to have sex, and so on, and they have the right to have an abortion. If you permit all this before the age [of 18], without a marriage contract and without any legal grounds - how come you forbid marriage?

Aisha was not eight years old when she married the Prophet....she was six.
ReplyDeleteYou have slandered our faith and our Prophet.
Yes, he abducted her (I refuse to use the word 'married' - marriage is an honorable estate) when she was six, dragging her away from playing with her dolls. It's true he didn't rape her (I refuse to use the word 'consumate') until she was nine. But he did mufa' khathat or thighing between her legs from six years old onwards.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't know what this means try googling 'Islam thighing' or 'mufa khathat'
This is the way men think when they are raised to believe that women are literally less than fully human. If a woman's worth is legally one half that of a man, why should we be surprised to hear one of these Islamists rail about girls being sexually active at the age of nine, while blithely defending the behavior of a 50-year-old man who forced a girl that age to engage in sex with him? The issue of whether they were married is irrelevant. The girl had no choice in the matter, nor was she of an age to make such a choice.
ReplyDeleteWe are at war with barbarians who would take a social problem -- underage children engaging in sex -- and embed it in our society as a social evil at the level of sexual slavery by supporting in law the "right" of Muslim men to use children for sex.
The only thing that disturbs that vile little Iraqi "expert" is the idea of females choosing to act without the permission of men. He has no problem with a 10-year-old girl having sex. He just has a problem with it being her idea instead of, say, his courin who wants to marry her.
I've got a big problem with all of that...
Anonymous, Mufa Khathat is so disgusting a person could probably get arrested for describing it in a webpost.
ReplyDeleteAnd, the prophet did it, and the Ayatollah Khomeini recommended it.
And they would both get 20 years in the slammer if they got caught doing it here in the "decadent" West. Which would have saved us all a lot of trouble.
ReplyDeleteWas Aisha eight, six or even younger?
ReplyDeleteBack in Muhammed's day, they used a lunar calendar.
According to wikipedia, there are about 12 lunations (synodic months) or 354.37 days in a lunar year.
Do the math
6 x 354.37 = 2126.22
2126.22\ 365 = 5.8252...
Was Aisha only 5.8 years old at marriage?
9 x 354.37= 3,189.33
3189.33/ 365= 8.7378...
Was Aisha 8 when marriage was consumated?
Clearly, math was not one of Muhammed's strengths. With this repugnant 'belief system' it shouldn't surprise that such deficiencies filter through time.
Thanks for pointing that out, but considering how young she was EITHER WAY I believe we are doing the counter-Jihad equivalent of trying to determine how many angels dance on the head of a pin.
ReplyDeleteI guess in the case of Islam, it would be how many demons dance on the head of the pin.
