Ayers as an educator of education administrators and educators:
"Homelessness, crime, racism, oppression-we have the resources and knowledge to fight and overcome these things.""We need to look beyond our isolated situations, to define our problems globally. We cannot be child advocates . . . in Chicago or New York and ignore the web that links us with the children of India or Palestine.""In a truly just society there would be a greater sharing of the burden, a fairer distribution of material and human resources."
Zero sum earth, the most anti entrepreneurial, anti property, anti ambition, anti professionalism justification for state power and expropriation of the fruit of the mind, even before that fruit is borne.
Actually an update from an earlier post here by American Thinker...
Translation 'evil property instills itself purposefully thru the political corruption of the child in education' as a dedicated way of perpetuating itself? If this is not BLATANT marxist dialectic, and thought processes, they don't exist. Just as Islam makes all politics religion and the reverse, so this breed of thought makes all reality subject to the imprint of the dialectic. DISGUSTING, for it reduces unarguable fact to a political purpose. As Ayers wrote later, he took fire from Greene's lectures on how the "oppressive hegemony" of the capitalist social order "reproduces" itself through the traditional practice of public schooling-critical pedagogy's fancy way of saying that the evil corporations exercise thought control through the schools.
Get it?
Greene told future teachers that they could help change this bleak landscape by developing a "transformative" vision of social justice and democracy in their classrooms
Got it?
Good.
It's the eduation system, stupid. K-6. Then 7-12. Forget the universities, the kids are totally useless non thinking Zinnites and Chomsky worshipers before they arrive where all thought is discussed 'dispassionately'.
We are in DEEP trouble.
Epaminonda,
ReplyDeleteDeep trouble is an understatement. If the Islam-o-Fascists don't destroy American democracy, this could. Why did we let them get away with this? Why do we let them teach things like Marxists economics? Marxism is to economics, what creationism is to biology. This perversion of our educational system also goes alone way to explain way we don't take the threat posed by fundamentalist Islam seriously. These classes treat all the bad things in the world as they were the fault of capitalism and an evil imperialist America. Hey leftists, America is not an Imperialist nation. Last but not least, the Palestinians are oppressed, but not by America or Israel. The Palestinians are oppressed by other Palestinians, just like North Korans are oppressed by other North Korans. Their oppression has nothing to do with Capitalism. In fact it is the Palestinians and the rest of the fundamentalist Muslim world, who are the Imperialists, not those who support a free market. The communists and islamists are the ones who want to take over the world, not the west.
Meanwhile, our dippy nose-ringed 20-something inventory manager tells me today that Queen Elizabeth II's mother, Queen Victoria was the first prominent woman to wear white to her wedding. (Actually, apparently it was Mary Queen of Scots but I'm afraid to even mention that name to her or her little pointy head will explode and the shrapnel from the piercings could take out half the store.)
ReplyDeleteWas it the Jesuits who said give us a child from the age of 7 and he is ours forever? If so, they are a damn sight better off with the Jesuits, who proceed from a genuine respect for reason (even if I don't agree with a lot of the rest).
