Obama: “Can you ensure that there will be no second Holocaust?” (NO answer)
Jake Tapper has a disturbing but revealing moment during Obama's to the Holocaust Memorial and Museum Yad Vashem in the Jewish state.
An Israeli journalist called out to Obama: “Can you ensure that there will be no second Holocaust?”
Obama walked into the museum’s main building without responding.
[....]
"This is my second visit to Yad Vashem," Obama told reporters. "I am always taken back to, sort of, the core question of humanity that the Holocaust raises. And that is, on the one hand man's great capacity for evil but on the other hand the capacity to join together and stop evil if we are willing to speak out in one voice."
Obama continued, "and so, despite its record of monumental tragedy this ultimately is a place of hope. Because it reminds us of our obligations and our responsibilities and hopefully creates a better future for our children and grandchildren."
Once again an Israeli journalist asked the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee how he’d help prevent a second Holocaust. "Senator can you assure Israel that there will be no second Holocaust despite Iran's threat to wipe us off the map?" he asked.
Obama demurred, saying that it wasn't appropriate to answer the question there.
"This is Yad Vashem!" the journalist responded.
Obama said he would answer the question at a later press availability.
Needless to say, he did not.
UPDATE: When he calls the place, "a place of hope" you have to wonder why? There are a few reasons he could says that. One is, you have to wonder if he hopes there is another Holocaust.
As crazy as that sounds, that is one of the few reasons he could have refused to answer this question. Why not answer the question?
When you are watching absolute evil unfold before your very eyes it is very hard to believe. More and more, Obama is convincing me he could very well be absolute evil.
When he wrote The Audacity of Hope, he was smart enough not to map out his blueprint the way Hitler did.
I read a large part of his book trying to find a plan. I find no plan. But, his plan, if there is one, is in the hints he drops, and in what he does not, and will not say.
It's fucking frightening.
Are you sure that's your final answer?
ReplyDeleteBecause there are multiple possible reasons for his refusing to answer the question.
Pastorius,
ReplyDeleteI'm aware there are other possibilities, but that's more likely than A lot of people realize. He's is one of the most politically correct politicians of all time.
Damien,
ReplyDeleteLet's you and I both hope that is the reason for his non-answer.
But, PC would demand that he say no to genocide, wouldn't it?
As in, "Sure, of course, I'd work to stop a Holocaust."
Or even,
"I'm not convinced the Iranians actually want to enact a Holocaust. I believe they have legitimate demands they'd like to work out. We can get them to the table and find a compromise."
Or something.
But instead, nothing.
That's strange, if you ask me.
Quote: "Obama continued, "and so, despite its record of monumental tragedy this ultimately is a place of hope. Because it reminds us of our obligations and our responsibilities and hopefully creates a better future for our children and grandchildren."
ReplyDeleteQuote interpretted through the black liberation church/Arab bloodline lens :
monumental tragedy= interrupted genocide/ethnic cleansing
museum is a "place of hope" = re-initiating genocide/ethnic cleansing may yet resume.
Obama's ignoring the reporters question can be interpretted as no, of course I can't guarantee it.
This museum shows all that is possible. Hitler came close to realizing a better future for our children and grandchildren. Patience. The Iranians, Saudi's, Syrians and others - given time, may one day bring you that future.
Of course, BHO could not answer that reporter with honest(black liberation/pro-arab)candor.
Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteThat's one of the possibilities. Because Obama is so vague in his speech, I am left to try to interpret his meaning.
For instance, here's a post I did on his speech of this morning:
http://astuteblogger.blogspot.com/2008/07/my-instantaneous-reaction-to-obamas.html
Was he telling Europe they need to take more responsibility, or was he warning that he plans to pull out troops out of there and everywhere else?
With Obama, we simply do not know.
Given who his friends are, I am afraid your translation may be the correct one.
hmmm,
ReplyDeletewell, I'll say it,
He's an anti-Semitic Muslim Manchurian Candidate intent on duping the American Masses, portraying peace,
then, all hells going to break lose when his true colors are revealed, and I'm not talking skin color.
Of course he didn't say anything about preventing a Holocaust--He's part of it, the plan to conspire for one,
the signs are all there, I mean, one yea, I mean you could say its just fanatical to even assume as such BUT,
there are what, fifty signs thus far Plus he dictates to his 'sweetie' journalists to wear jihab in Israel, a political statement,
and of course not to wear green as that would be insulting for infidels to wear green in the presence of Jihadists Hamas and Hezbollah,
Geesh he is so fricking transparent that even kids can see through him.
Anyone usually would have said Something, something about preventing all Holocausts or working to prevent any such atrocity in this day and age,
the FACT that Obama said nothing, says everything,
he might as well Just have said, "Prevent it, hell no, I'm going to assure it happens".
Just a few of the headlines running at Drudge:
ReplyDeleteObama scraps visit to wounded troops...
Well, the wounded soldiers probably watch FOX News - and we can't have that now, can we - Obama?
RAW VIDEO: Obama pre-dawn visit...
Recall - Barack Hussein Obama said the Muslim call to prayer is "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth."
The Western wall is the surviving remnant of the second temple, upon which stands Al Aqsa. Can't help wondering if the length of Obama's visit to the western wall coincided with the adhan for the Subh (dawn) prayer.
POLITICS HITS THE WALL...
Jerusalem Police: Campaign plastered posters at Western Wall...
Can you imagine the Obamabots plastering the Sistene chapel or any other religiously significant landmark with campaign posters?
Why are they getting away with this?
as I said the other day, I started reading again, not to get all religious here,
ReplyDeletebut, the more I read, the more I am convinced, that he is either The anti-Christ or is part of that system, and I KNOW that sounds like batshit crazy, ok,
but seriously, there is just TOO MUCH, that adds up, Way too much.
But too, if that is right, if the Bible IS true,
take courage, while there is going to be hellish times and good hearts put to death--the evil,
has already been defeated. If there was a time to have faith and love, its now. Be diligent and watchful...
and as Crazy as that sounds, I'm to the point, I just don't care if it sounds crazy anymore,
put it This way,
people are Seeing it because there is a Reason they are seeing it, seeing and having that conviction inside,
listen to it.

""Senator can you assure Israel that there will be no second Holocaust despite Iran's threat to wipe us off the map?" he asked.
ReplyDeleteObama demurred, saying that it wasn't appropriate to answer the question there."
If somebody does that to me, I think it's snobbish.
i know medical folks who think obama is a psychopath like hitler/stalin/manson.
ReplyDeletehes already proven he'd do just about anything to be potus: toss his grandma under the bus - then wright. lie about what committee he's on and whether or not he voted yea or nay on a bill.
he lies without compunction.
he may not know he's lying.
he's a psychopath.
a narcissistic psycho.
This ielection is close when it should be OVER. The republicans committed seppuku from Delay until now, and Bush's massive incompetence plus his reversal of what made him who he is (in the rubble of the WTC) continues to be breathtaking. Yet this race is at about 3 points max.
ReplyDeleteWhy?
People sense something. Even as the media, and his wild supporters wave a hand at valid questions and call the questioners extremists something is getting thru.
But it's all negative.
The nation is waiting for a message from Mr. McCain, a set of reasons to do more than NOT VOTE for Obama.
You can do it on two issues John...
Foreign Policy and Energy (which is this case IS THE ECONOMY AND FOREIGN POLICY, STUPID)
The democrats have insisted on no drilling. STICK THEM WITH IT.
Obama believes he can form some special emotional argument (from the Washington Treaty - 1922 to Kellogg Briand in 1928) to end war and eliminate the american nuclear arsenal (which has prevented a cataclysmic war for 60 years)...STICK HIM WITH IT.
The democrats want to take apart missile defense which harms no human ...STICK THEM WITH IT.
Pin them to all these position and you will be the next president, because YOU have a positive message on each.
My first time to your site infidel and I like it.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile here is my comment. Evil is the underlying core notion of the Shoah. There are umteen thousands upon thousands of questions concerning the Shoah. My main question is this how could the German people allow the Shoah to happen? Were they caught up in the tripe of Xenophobic attitude of German Pride? Were the Germans oppressed in any way? After all before the war there was great economic wealth b/c of the depression. But that could not be blamed on the Jews. Yet it was.
As is today's economic meltdown and the need for oil. Its too bad that Israel has little or no oil in her.
That would solve some of the problem. I don't personally understand why Flights would be cut back unless they say they are a flight risk now. Which is idiotic.
hearth tablets,
ReplyDeleteGermans wanted someone to blame for the bad economic circumstances during the Weimar Republic. People were desperate. Beyond that, many believed that they couldn't have lost the first world war, that they must have been stabbed in the back. Hitler told the Germans what they wanted to hear, and the Jews became a convenient scape goat, but antisemitism had existed in Germany and Europe as a whole long before Hitler was even born.
Once Hitler gained power, the first thing he had people do was to burn books that disagreed with Nazi Ideology. Then they started executing handicapped people. Then the Nazis moved onto the Jews and other "Subhumans." All the while German news papers weren't allow to criticize the Nazis.
Hearth Tablets,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like our site.
Personally, I think there is no reasonable explanation for the hatred of Jews.
Hitler was convinced that if he could just rid the world of Jews, everything else would fall in line. That is an unreasonable belief, and yet he, Haman, Stalin, Ahmadinejad, the Saudis, and many others throughout history have become possessed of that belief.
Why?
Ask God.
I looked at your profile page. I also love Matisyahu.
Check out Kol Simcha.
I did ask Hashem. He pointed me in the direction of a B.A. in Judaic Studies. Of all places concordia.
ReplyDeleteThe strong will survive.
As a result I have been doing lots of reading and writing on the subject. Sometimes I find the answers but 99.9 % of the time all I have are more questions.
Dont just check out the profile page. Check out the blog to. Its a Canadian Jewish outlook regarding world views. Some historical genealogical research as well.
Pastorius,
ReplyDeleteWhat about my explanation for the holocaust? I think the historical evidence supports me on it. If you were to compare what was going on in the middle ages, and the pre christian world, you would find at least a few significant similarities to the Weimar Republic. Bigotry has always been based on fear, and a desire for a scape goat.
The same is true for the Islamic world. Although their bigotry has a religious bases, there are some important similarities between Islamic bigotry and more secular hate mongers. Both blame the other groups for their own problems, and fear what is different than what they are used too.
Plus its not enough to just say who knows, you can't prevent something from happening again unless you understand its underling causes. So we should at least attempt to do so.
Bigotry is based on fear, and societies do look for scapegoats.
ReplyDeleteBut, why is it always the Jews?
Why not the Filipinos.
Do you know they hate Jews in countries like Malaysia where they have never even seen a Jew? Even Japan has its share of Jew-hatred? I'll bet you the freaking Eskimoes hate the Jews too.
Why the Jews?
Dennis Prager thinks it's because the Jews are God's Chosen People and they stand for the Law of God. He believes this works on the psyche of the human race. He compares the hatred of Jews to the hatred of Americans, who also stand for the Law of God to some extent, because we have asserted that our rights are from God, not granted by a King, President, or Legislature.
Ok, that's a reasonable theory. But, it still doesn't answer why people who have never seen a Jew, and who have no knowledge of the Bible (as in Malaysia) would still find it in their hearts to hate Jews.
I will be frank. I can only conceive of a spiritual reason for this kind of blind hatred.
In Revelation, it says:
Revelation 12
The Woman, Israel
1A great (A)sign appeared (B)in heaven: (C)a woman (D)clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars;
2and she was with child; and she (E)cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth.
The Red Dragon, Satan
3Then (F)another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red (G)dragon having (H)seven heads and (I)ten horns, and on his heads were (J)seven diadems.
4And his tail swept away a (K)third of the stars of heaven and (L)threw them to the earth And the (M)dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth (N)he might devour her child.
The Male Child, Christ
5And (O)she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to (P)rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was (Q)caught up to God and to His throne.
6Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God, so that there she would be nourished for (R)one thousand two hundred and sixty days.
The Angel, Michael
7And there was war in heaven, (S)Michael and his angels waging war with the (T)dragon The dragon and (U)his angels waged war,
8and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven.
9And the great (V)dragon was thrown down, the (W)serpent of old who is called the devil and (X)Satan, who (Y)deceives the whole world; he was (Z)thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
10Then I heard (AA)a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the (AB)salvation, and the power, and the (AC)kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the (AD)accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night.
11"And they (AE)overcame him because of (AF)the blood of the Lamb and because of (AG)the word of their testimony, and they (AH)did not love their life even when faced with death.
12"For this reason, (AI)rejoice, O heavens and (AJ)you who dwell in them (AK)Woe to the earth and the sea, because (AL)the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only (AM)a short time."
13And when the (AN)dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted (AO)the woman who gave birth to the male child.
14But the (AP)two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly (AQ)into the wilderness to her place, where she was nourished for (AR)a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.
15And the (AS)serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood.
16But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon poured out of his mouth.
17So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to (AT)make war with the rest of her (AU)children, who (AV)keep the commandments of God and (AW)hold to the testimony of Jesus.
