Pay attention to the intro. Bon Jovi will make no money off of this, it is meant to be downloaded especially for the Iranian people. Free. So if any of you have contact with them out there let them know about this.
Every Revolution needs a good soundtrack. . .
Bon Jovi & Madadian
Stand By Me
Very cool.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what Bruce would have to say about this.
By the way, when's the last time Bruce ever actually stood for oppressed people?
I used to be a huge fan of Bruce. And when The Rising came out even more so. Then he went for Kerry and worse, Obama. Now I can't listen to him anymore. Not won't. Just plain can't. Not without getting very pissed off.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Bruce EVER actually stood for oppressed people. It was always abotu the working man and the kids & rock and roll.
When he forst came along and for years he always said he would never let politics into the music, into his message. Never be used for it.
Guess he blew that one, eh?
Good on Jon Bon Jovi.
After about 1980, every fucking song Bruce Springsteen ever wrote was "crying in your beer music."
ReplyDeleteOh, oh, oh, I'm on fire.
He sound not like he was on fire, but like he was about to give up the ghost.
And, what kind of man writes a song like Glory Days. As long as my cock works, today is the Glory Day. And, any man who writes Glory Days may as well admit he is impotent.
The Rising was a great fucking album. But, as far as I'm concerned, everything else he has done is a piece of trash since the early days.
By the way, another great album by Bruce is Hammersmith-Odeon London 1975.
It's a live album. Have you heard that. It is genius.
I have the Odean concert on CD and the video of it on DVD. It is an awesome show to watch. The concert was doen just as Born to Run was being released so he had not yet hit it big and was still a hungry punk. But the versions of Spirits in the Night and Rosalita from that show are pure Bruce energy.
ReplyDeleteThe Rising excepted, anything after The River (and that's pushing it) is I'm famous and ain't gotta work for it anymore junk.
Yeah, I agree. The River was the album on which he started to fall apart.
ReplyDeleteI actually think Born in the USA is a very good song, but I can't stand any other song on that album.
Born in the USA was a good song (and the last time I saw him in concert). Unfortunately it was the song that finally catapulted him to great fame fortune and mediocrity.
ReplyDeleteGod bless Jon Bon Jovi and everything he does.. !!!
ReplyDeleteCould anybody please write the first pharagraph of the song?? Thank you very much!!
