About That Upcoming Khilafa Conference On The Outskirts Of Chicago

Yes, I know that there's a previous posting on this here at IBA. But I just have to post on this because I've posted about the organization before - over three years ago!

Let's start with a video (hat tip to Yid With Lid):

The conference will be held in at Hilton Hotel from 11AM - 5 PM in the Grand Ballroom, 9333 South Cicero Avenue, Oak Lawn, IL 60453

web site for the conference

The topics at the conference are as follows:
***Session 1: Failure of Capitalism***
Lecture 1: Capitalism is Doomed to Fail
Lecture 2: The Suffering Under Capitalism

***Session 2 : Islamic Perspective on Economy***
Lecture 1: How Wealth is Distributed Justly
Lecture 2: Life Under the Islamic Economic System

***Session 3 : Rise of Islam***
Lecture 1: Global Activism for Islamic Revival
Lecture 2: Role of Muslims in America
Now, let's move to some excerpts from a recent article at Fox News:
A group committed to establishing an international Islamic empire and reportedly linked to Al Qaeda is stepping up its Western recruitment efforts by holding its first official conference in the U.S.

Hizb ut-Tahrir is a global Sunni network with reported ties to confessed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Al Qaeda in Iraq's onetime leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. It has operated discreetly in the U.S. for decades.

Now, it is coming out of the shadows and openly hosting a July 19 conference entitled, "The Fall of Capitalism and the Rise of Islam," at a posh Hilton hotel in a suburb of Chicago.

[...]

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is one of the group's most famous alumni, New Statesman journalist Shiv Malik reported, citing intelligence sources. In addition to plotting the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, he also is implicated in the World Trade Center bombing of 1993, the Bali nightclub bombings and the murder of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.

...Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who was the leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq until he was killed in June 2006, also was once a member of Hizb ut-Tahrir.

...[O]ther former members include Asif Muhammad Hanif, a British man who blew himself up outside a bar in Tel Aviv, killing four people (including himself) and wounding more than 50; and Omar Bakri Mohammed, a radical cleric currently banned from Britain who praised the 9/11 attacks, raised funds for Hezbollah and Hamas and called for attacks on the Dublin airport because U.S. troops transfered there on their way to Iraq....

[...]

Hizb ut-Tahrir's official ruling on the permissibility of hijacking planes says, "If the plane belongs to a country at war with Muslims, like Israel, it is allowed to hijack it, for there is no sanctity for Israel nor for the Jews in it."

And one of the organization's more recent leaflets, published in March, calls for the declaration of "a state of war against America."
Read the entire article HERE. There is much more!

If someone had told me on September 12, 2001, that such a conference would be held here in America less than eight years after 9/11, I'd have said, "You're CRAZY!" Yet, that very insanity is exactly what's happening.

Over three years ago at my first web site, I posted this. That posting, which discussed everyday, average Moslems' yearnings for the caliphate, received over 200 comments, was based on a front-page article in the Washington Post and mentioned Hizb ut-Tahrir as follows:
an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Nevertheless, Hizb ut-Tahrir is welcomed to the Grand Ballroom of a Hilton Hotel right outside Chicago? I suppose that we should be grateful the conference is not being held right outside two 9/11 targets: New York City and Washington, D.C.

I'll end conclude this posting in the same way I ended "The Caliphate" three and one-half years ago:

Are we standing before an abyss which we cannot comprehend and refuse to admit the very existence of?

  1. Just to point out, if you press pause at 49 seconds into the video, you will see in the frame a bunch of protesting Mahoundians carrying a giant sign that says, "Free Speech Symbolizes War on Islam". Can they even get their own Taqqiya and film editing right?

  2. Always On Watch,

    This is seriously disturbing!

  3. Total,

Its possible that they don't even realize how bad that makes them look to us. Truth is the only reason they would care is to pacify us for the time being. However, if it only lasted for one moment, its possible that they just didn't notice. Than again, it could be a case of the person making the film being too stupid even to make a good Jihadist. Kind of like someone who is too stupid even to make a good Nazi.

You should get an image from that clip of the Muslims protesters dissing the first amendment, and show it to a bunch of people, as well as many people you know, who are showing indifference or refuse to accept what is going on. Than ask them, if these people want to live in a democracy, and are willing to tolerate other opinions, why are they carrying signs that denounce freedom of speech?

  5. Pastorius,

You're addressing Total, right? Because if that's your answer to my question, it doesn't make sense.

  6. I doubt they care that they reject free speech if it means criticizing Islam. The whole film is about the alleged coming triumph of their wretched religion. Why would they want to go out of their way to sugarcoat it at this point? Are we likely to see critical coverage of this hate-fest "conference" anywhere on the MSM except FOX (and I only assume they'll cover it because they have already done a report).

This is sickening. Rand could have imagined a lot of ways in which capitalism and Western civilization could be attacked, but she'd never have believed this one.

  9. Revereridesagain,

Until recently, almost no one would have believed that this could happen. Even people like Winston Churchill who not only saw how evil Nazism and communism was and knew about Islam's malevolent teachings, would have had a hard time imaging this happening, or believing it could happen. Even if someone from our time traveled back to when he was alive and told him about it, he'd have a hard time believing that what the man was saying was true. Even he would have trouble believing it. He'd probably just think that the time travel was a kook of some kind, and that he really wasn't from the future. If Churchill saw what was going on today, he would be outraged at how British leaders are acting as well as the rest of Europe and the western world. So would Rand, and it would be one of the instances when I would agree with her.

  10. Damien,
Maybe Pasto is answering the question I left at the end of my post?

  11. Damien,
I see from your last comment that you get my point, although you phrased my point using a different context.

I grow more pissed off every day, I tell you.

We have more historical context today than those living in the 1930s. Still, I often wonder if many Germans felt the way I do these days. I find myself screaming a lot, "THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!"

But it is happening, and I feel more acceleration coming.

  15. Every tyrannical ideology sooner or later reaches too far and free men respond viciously.

  17. WC,

Let's hope the time comes sooner rather than later, the longer we wait, the harder it will be to defeat these people, the higher the price in the blood of men and women in uniform.

  18. Damien,
Yes, I was answering the question in AOW's post, even though I know it was hypothetical.

  19. Pastirius,

I guess its just because I'm used to specifically addressing the person I'm talking to in the comments, so I wasn't sure who you were talking to. Thanks for clearing it up. Unfortunately I have to agree with you, it seems like we maybe on a knife edge right now. We have to survive this, the free world, the west and particular America and Europe, must survive this, otherwise humanity has a dark future ahead, one that could at least rival the dark ages. I really hope that any children or grandchildren of ours won't have to deal with any of this. You said you had kids once? Hopefully by the time they are grown up, this will be over and we will have won.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yes, I do have kids, and I'm raising them to understand that there is good and evil in the world. And, that they need to fight evil, and work to do good.

I believe that's all I can do. The rest is up to Providence.

  21. Pastorius,

I understand, and I largely agree with what you just said.

We haven't played cowboys and Muslims yet.

Meanwhile, the numbers of converts to Islam are rising throughout the West.

The battle may not come, except in the political arena.

  23. The battle may not come, except in the political arena.

Even Bush, who took the fight to them better than any before him, was largely ignorant of Islam. There are a couple of minor players in office who are a tad bit more knowlegeable, but their words are drowned out.
The political arena is impotent, caused by ignorance or force. The people are ignorant, complacient, apathetic or too scared to act with force.

If we are attacked again, like on Sept 11, i forsee a slight ramping up of outrage, but like after 9/11, if it is a single event, it will die down again. The only way i see any real lasting change, is if we have ongoing attacks. Suicide bombers in multiple places, buildings being blown up in many cities, people being kidnapped & killed.
Sadly, our freedoms, especially our freedom of religion & speech are being used against us. And short of the above tragic scenerio, we are doomed to watching our children's freedom melt away. Christine

  27. Omar,

Could you do us a favor and please leave. You are not going to get anyone to support the Muslim Brotherhood here. We know what it is. For anyone who does not, check this link out. Here are some facts on the Muslim brotherhood from Discovery the Networks.

  28. Sorry, I meant Discover the Networks.

  29. During the cold war. If a communist dared step foot on American soil the CIA would be on them right now. I hope they are watching and protecting the American people today like they did then. To more extremes. The communist wanted to convert us. The radical Muslims want to kill us. Capitalism has worked for America ever since the country was born. It's never failed. It may have had it's weak moments (twice(great depression and now) but America has always overcome the weakness and will continued even stronger. Because we are built on Christian principals.
