“We Need You to Lead Our Politics”
by Baron Bodissey
That’s what Simon Hughes, the Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament for North Southwark and Bermondsey, said to British Muslims gathered for the Global Peace and Unity Event on October 25th, 2008.
He also said, “Every country of the world is your country.”
And he said much, much more than that. Here’s the video:
Mr. Hughes is gay, and homosexuality was an issue when he was first elected to Parliament. Funnily enough, it wasn’t his own sexual orientation that caused controversy, but that of his opponent. From the wiki on him:
The by-election was described by Gay News as “the dirtiest and most notorious by-election in British political history” because of the slurs against the character of the Labour candidate and gay rights campaigner Peter Tatchell by various opposition campaigners. The Liberal Campaign leaflet described the election as a “straight choice”, a standard campaigning slogan which was open to misinterpretation. Hughes won the seat with 57.7% of the vote. He apologised for the campaign in 2006, during the same few days revealing his own homosexual experiences, and confirming that he is bisexual after being outed by The Sun newspaper
And this is the man who is now pandering so shamelessly to the local British representatives of the Ummah…
You’ll notice that Mr. Hughes opens his address with “salaam aleikum”, the standard Muslim-to-Muslim greeting. He then quotes from Sura 45 and other parts of the Koran. The Hon. MP may want to meditate on another part of Sura 45, namely verses 7-11:
Woe to each sinful dealer in Falsehoods:
He hears the Signs of Allah rehearsed to him, yet is obstinate and lofty, as if he had not heard them: then announce to him a Penalty Grievous!
And when he learns something of Our Signs, he takes them in jest: for such there will be a humiliating Penalty.
In front of them is Hell: and of no profit to them is anything they may have earned, nor any protectors they may have taken to themselves besides Allah: for them is a tremendous Penalty.
This is (true) Guidance and for those who reject the Signs of their Lord, is a grievous Penalty of abomination.
Mr. Hughes looks ahead with great anticipation to the election of Barack Hussein Obama. It’s obvious that both he and his enthusiastic audience consider Obama to be a Muslim, and that his election will constitute a great sea change in which America reverses position and embraces the Muslim world.
But his wrap-up is the most chilling part of his speech: borders must be abolished, all nations become one, and his Muslim “brothers and sisters” step forward to take their rightful place as leaders of this new transnational entity.
Now, remember: this man was lawfully elected to his office by the voters. Judging by the location of his constituency — just south of the Thames — its voters must be fairly culturally enriched.
But were “persons of British background” a minority among them?
Please tell me that citizens of good English stock were not the ones responsible for voting this man into Parliament.
Does this guy realize that gay males in places like Iran, Saudi, and other backwards places are executed for being gay? This is like when Barbara Streisand comes out for populations that would gladly kill her just because of her Jewish heritage. They just don't get it.
ReplyDeleteEllen,
ReplyDeleteI think he's "feeding the crocodile ..."
I think he is also a hater of Western Civilization.
ReplyDeletePastorius is right. This guy CHRISTIAN? THIS guy a fan of Western Civilization?
ReplyDeleteA lovely sweet little white boy from a beautiful English village. ..what the............?
I always find it astonishing that it's the "Christians" always embracing ALLAH ...out of fear of not being politically correct? TIME TO STOP, FOLKS... This man talks as if there's no threat...I couldn't watch more than half.
Or I'd be with Always in the bathroom.
Pastorius,
ReplyDeleteDoes he even realize that he's feeding the Crocodile? By the way, Simon Hughes speaks of an organization to prevent conflicts before they start. Wasn't that what both the League of Nations and the United Nations was supposed to do?
By the way, he's correct to say that people of faith can stand together, even when they are of different religious backgrounds, but not when some of them are strictly following a religion that tells them to convert or submit everyone else by force.
Also the fact that he gay just makes this even more ironic. What is just as ironic is that Simon Hughes seems to think that it is America's fault for conflict.
He's says that there cannot be a forty two day detention time for anyone, becouse that was not the country of civil liberties that he grew up in. This guy sounds just like an American leftist. Someone should point out to him that the Britan he wants most likely couldn't survive very long and point out to him, every reason why. Even if he, most likely would not listen, someone else is not indoctrinated might. He's a modern day internationalist Nevile Chamberlain, living in his fantasy world.
Also, he's a socialist, and most likely doesn't understand economics.

ReplyDeleteJesterhead,
ReplyDeleteHe certainly does sound like a Muslim, though he does state that he is a Christian.
If he is a Christian then why would he want Muslims to assume power? Very odd.
I find it increasingly hard to believe that people such as this guy are NOT closet-converts; unless people like him are from some sort Tranzi Hanif-inspired Marcion branch of Christianity that happens to recognise the islamic nonce nabi.
ReplyDeleteStill even if they're not, I can just envision them being the first to "revert" when it all kicks off, it’s just they’re too cowardly to be upfront about it at the moment with a few exceptions. After all they can see that despite what koran actually says, one pretty much has a licence to do whatever they please by virtue of being muslim whether they’re the elite or in lesser important positions of authority like that Iranian jailer who “married” condemned girls the night before their executions.
Damien,
ReplyDeleteYou're absolutely right. He doesn't seem to know why the UN exists? I wonder if he even knows what the League of Nations is?
He might really be so stupid that he doesn't know the history of the UN and League of Nations.
That is CERTAINLY what it sounds like.
Sorry about the above
ReplyDeletePastorius
There could be many things that would motivate such a person, I mean for all we know he likes the idea of creating a "legacy" for himself as one of many who brought down the west.
He must be Episcoslamic, or, since he's British, Anglislamic. On page 666 of your hymenals, let us sing "Allah Hates Me, this I know"
ReplyDeleteJau Jau,
ReplyDeleteLOL
Allah hates me this I know
For the Krayon tells me so
To be fair, this guy didn't explicitly call for a Caliphate. However, he did tell Muslims that we need them to lead us, and he does call for Nations to unite as one.
ReplyDeleteIt might be a bit more accurate to say he wouldn't mind it much is Muslims led Eurabia as a Sharia-state.
I don't have a hard time believing the man is ignorant of the history of the UN and the League of Nations
But, I do have a hard time believing he doesn't know about Sharia law.
And, he seems to have no problem with it at all.
Pastorius & JH - He sounds like a muslim because Hughes continually refers to the collective, 'we' as well as using phrases of the collective like @:38 "Thanks be to allah" or opening with the traditional welcome (to the) 'asylum-we-like-em' greeting.
ReplyDeleteat marker 4:11 Hughes states:
"The United States must recognize that we are on this world together as equals and in all countries under God we must be equally respected. "
Me thinks he needs to define "equal" and "equally". And note Hughe's blunder in referring to God and not allah. whoooops
I don't know what qur'an Hughes has familiarized himself with - since the editions I've been exposed to portray all non-believers as anything but equal by western standards.
and at 7:19
". . .there must be no different treatment of muslims from Christians and Jews and Hindus in this country because we are all equal before the law as well as before God. "
AGREED!! So we all agree that there is no use for shari'a courts or islamic banking. Everyone has access to the same facilities - be it financial or legal under British law. Equal is good enough.
At 7:47 he continues:
". . .but above all, above all this, we need a society that is more equal . . ."
More equal? SIGH.
************
He continues @4:28:
"We must collaborate across this continent. "
Again, with the "We" as in muslims? . . .collaborate - such an interesting turn of phrase.
". . .we must end the nationalism."
He entertains the idea of 'caliphate'?
T R A I T O R. This is treason.

Little ones to Mo belong
They reach 9, he gets it on
I really hope his "sisters and brothers" throw a big fat heavy wall on him want to see his brains smearing the asphalt
ReplyDeleteAnonymous,
ReplyDeleteWow, you're angry!
Damien,
ReplyDeleteIn case you don't know, that is the Islamic punishment for homosexuality.
Anonymous is not so much angry as he is informed.
