Today's WSJ:
The Federal Reserve chose a labor leader to succeed a former Goldman Sachs executive as the chairman of the Federal Reserve Board of New York's private-sector board of directors.
Denis Hughes, president of the New York state branch of the AFL-CIO, had been serving as acting chairman of the New York Fed board since May, when Stephen Friedman stepped down from the position.
I hear the WHO: "Meet the new boss?....."
Public anger at town halls, the significant way the 2006 elections destroyed the political age of Reagan, the corruption of the republicans and now of the democrats should inform everyone that something is coming.
The parties as they are simply serve money. It doesn't matter whose. The platitudes from the republicans about free enterprise and property are the same public opium as the progressives' crack pablum over social and economic justice.
They serve money.
Capital is a force of nature. The faux ideologies around the slaves of money are a distraction.
I want to see the republicans PROVE they will do more than reward Goldman Sachs, or the democrats prove that rewarding the unions is anathema and bribery.
Are there any patriots in govt?
Do any SERVE?
And how can Claire McCaskill be surprised at the derisive wave of laughter and shouting when she asks ..."YOU DON'T TRUST ME?"
A plague, a pox, whatever gets the job done.
ReplyDeleteThe sonsabutches need to be reminded that their's was intedned to be a part time job to manage American affairs not manage/rule Americans, done away from their real day jobs like coopers and blacksmiths and distillers etc.
McCain had a great line at a town hall he had today. It was intended for lawyers but applies equally to congresscritters.
What's the difference between a lawyer and a catfish?
One's a scum sucking bottom feeder and the other is a fish.
