I have never understood people who can hold those two concepts in their head simultaneously:
- Muslims are like dangerous, wild, violent, murderous psychopaths - say nothing to antagonize them.
- There is nothing wrong with allowing Muslims to come to America, they pose no danger to our way of life.
Pastorius,
ReplyDeleteI don't know the answer to your question, but I know that people can hold logically contradictory beliefs simultaneous without exactly realizing it, indefinitely. I'm not sure, but I think in many cases it might have more to do with the idea that they can somehow change them by being nice to them. It could be that many P.C individuals think that its our fault that large numbers of Muslims are wild, violent, murderous psychopaths. If so, its one of the worst cases of wishful thinking ever.
What do you think the most plausible answer is?
I don't have a question.
ReplyDeleteThey are, simply, lying to themselves, and they are doing it because they are afraid of Muslims.
The answer, Damien? Because they are already mental hostages to Islam.
ReplyDeleteImagine yourself a hostage at a bank robbery. You know that you cannot joke around with your captors - you say nothing out of fear of death. At the same time, there is a part of your brain that convinces you that they are not going to kill you, that really, deep in their hearts, they are fine people who just happen to be stuck doing this bad thing. In fact, you even admire them.
This is known as the Stockholm Syndrome. When applied to victims of Islamic captivity it is called Dhimmitude.
Pastorius, thanks for the link.
Thank you, Bernie.
