DEARBORNISTAN SHARI'A
From the Astute Bloggers:Anyone who thinks this couldn't happen, in Michigan or elsewhere in the United States, must take a look at the following news from Michigan Live and from Power Line (via Hot Air):
Police in the heavily Arab Detroit suburb of Dearborn say they arrested four Christian missionaries for disorderly conduct at an Arab cultural festival. Here's also a video of the arrest, and note how the police demand of one of the bunch not film the arrest:
Police Chief Ron Haddad says his department made the arrests Friday. The four are free on bond.
As the name of the chief of Henry Ford's burg suggests, he too could be a Muslim, making Dearbornistan one of the first places where Islamisation of the police could be a serious problem, just like in Britain. And their confiscation of cameras to keep this off record shows this is a lot worse than it looks.
The Detroit News says:
The Thomas More Law Center, an Ann Arbor-based Christian legal defense organization, has agreed to represent four evangelists who were arrested on charges of disturbing the peace Friday night at the Arab International Festival. When this comes to court, the evangelists must ask for a lot of damage repairs.
Dearborn police officers violated their free speech rights when their video cameras, which were used to record conversations with festival-goers, were confiscated, said lead attorney Robert Muise…
Muise faxed a letter Monday to Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad requesting the return of his clients’ cameras and tapes.
The Police Department has not responded to Muise’s request.
that pesky old First Amendment!!!
ReplyDeletethe Dark Siders (Lucifer's Kids) always have a problem with it...
GO-- Thomas More Law!!!!

The police dept. in Dearborn had better watch what they do, or they might end up on the wrong side of a racketeering charge one day.
ReplyDeleteThere is no good explanation for their behavior, other than ill-gotten gain.
The Dearborn Police Dept. thinks they can get away with this because they think we're all ignorant. The problem is, while there may be just a few hundred people in their area who know the truth about the racketeering behind Sharia, there is a whole nation full of bloggers, and readers of blogs, out there who know. And gradually we are getting the truth out.
ReplyDeleteAnd, then it's all going to come crashing down on the collusionistas.
They must be treated as the police were in SELMA ALABAMA.
ReplyDeleteTHERE IS NO DIFFERENCE and that must be the center point of any campaign.
Dearborn is Selma. Islam is white sheeted.
Well put.
ReplyDeleteUntil the msm start reporting such situations, the slide into Islamification will continue unabated.
ReplyDeleteWhile I am not a big fan of Islamic fundamentalism, nor for that matter fundamentalism in general, I honestly don't believe there is any risk of our nation becoming "Islamified".
ReplyDeleteI will agree, based on the limited information available, yes, the officers in Dearborn behaved incorrectly and contrary to what the Constitution guarantees. And yes, it is not impossible that the Chief was influenced in part by his personal religious/ethnic background.
However I am more inclined to believe that this is just another case of everyday authoritarianism. Regularly, Americans, whether left or right, religious or not, are having their 1st Amendment rights abridged in the name of "civil order". Everyday the right to peaceably assemble is being stomped on by overzealous police and government. Dissent from the status quo, regardless of direction, is being quashed under more-than-questionable legal grounds.
I would also note that even if the the chief was influenced by his personal background, the other officers who aided him were probably Christians and therefor just operating based on "authoritarian" grounds.
Ultimately that I think is what needs to be worried about as it is an ever increasing issue in our country.
I don't really think Muslims have a rat's chance in hell of converting a significant portion of Americans. It is not a disease that can be caught like "pod people" in Invasion of the Body Snatchers. It would take conversion, and most Americans who might be converted are as inoculated to becoming Muslims as becoming atheists. Seriously, I cannot see swaths of high school kids suddenly renouncing Christianity to become Muslims.
That said, while I can't say I hope for it, a basic tenet of the United States is religious freedom - so they have that right (albeit without the right to further infringe on others rights if they convert).
I think it is likely you are right, Scathew.
ReplyDeleteHowever, it also seems Islam is a bad boy religion, and it could catch on as hip, as has the "thug life".
I wouldn't be surprised.
I hope you are right.
But whether you are right or not, we still see that Muslims do congregate in Muslim neighborhoods, and they do "take over" in a sense.
This is more apparent in Europe, where Muslims have taken over cities like Marseilles, France.
