It's interesting how if you sing this song like you know how to sing, it won't work. You gotta sing it like you're singing it for the first time and you're not sure what the notes are, though you have some idea they're lost in the chords somewhere.

I actually liked Mathews singing in this version better than Allman's. Seemed much more stark, which it should be.
