Apartheid Week: Revealing The Truth About The Evil Zionist Jews!
Rana Raslan wore this Star of David dress during the Miss Universe competition. One might say that it is paternalistic to put a proud Arab woman in a dress sporting the Jewish Star of David but reality is more complex than that. The Star of David is also the symbol of the State of Israel, the blue and white with the star in the middle mirror the design of Israel's flag. Rana was born to a Muslim father and Christian mother and is a citizen of Israel. That means that the symbolism of the dress represents her nationality even though it does not represent her religion. It's easy to believe that reality is black and white. It's easy to believe that Jews and Arabs are mortal enemies that just can't live together. It's easy but neither are true!
The Star of David dress was designed by Galit Levy the Vera Wang of Israel. Galit designed other headline catching dresses (for other Miss Universe pageants and more). She designs wedding gowns for the lucky few that can afford haute couture, mostly for celebrity weddings. This past year (2005) Galit broke into the international haute couture market.
