It seems like Herman Cain is flying by the seat of his pants, with no experienced handlers. Refreshing? Yeah, like a four year old with a loaded gun, I suppose.
From Ace:
One one hand: Honesty and character. Just admits it. We all know it. Instead of just doubling down and lying, he confesses he didn't know. The Limbaugh Interview: "Politically gutsy."
On the other hand: He was speaking in broad, strident terms about an issue he apparently didn't know very much about.
On the third hand: Honestly, I'm not sure if that's a drawback any longer. Starts around 2:25, he admits it at 3:10.
When Hannity says "A lot of people think you didn't understand the Right of Return," he says "They're exactly right."
Takes it like a man, no argument, no spinning.
He then says he learned some things since then, which, I gotta tell ya, also seem kind of basic.
I'm starting to like this guy.
ReplyDeleteI'll like him as long as he aims that loaded gun at Democrats.
ReplyDelete;-)
He has about 6 months to get up to speed on these foreign policy issues and I am sure he can do it. However, I think many of his opponents will require quite a bit more than 6 months to develop their character to the point where they are a peer of Herman Cain.
ReplyDeleteYes. Well put.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he could inquire of Allen West what's going on in the Middle East. I'm totally with him on the gold standard and abolishing the Federal income tax. He is fundamentally a man of truth which we sorely need.
ReplyDeletehoo boy . . .now Cain is supposedly walking back comments on Islam and appointing muslims. If so, he's quickly becoming the typical politician, fair weather patriot. . .doesn't look good.
ReplyDeleteCain Tells Beck His Muslim Cabinet Comments Were ‘Misconstrued’
I agree with him. His comment was unConstitutional. You can't exclude someone because of religion. HOWEVER, you could exclude a person for belief in of strict Sharia law.
