The leader said "that's fine, that's fine"
Then the morons sat there while the cops were readying the spray when they could have gotten up and walked away.
But they sat there and were screaming instructions to close their eyes, cover their mouths and noses.
Don't believe me? The tape doesn't lie. Unless, of course, the media edits it to fit their own agenda.
The students were told to disperse, stop blocking the road. They didn't. They were apparently told they were going to be arrested. So they sat down and locked arms.
The cops were heavily outnumbered and surrounded and although the protests were "peaceful" they had no guarantee it would remain that way when they tried to physically unlock the arms of those on the ground.
So they decided to break up the chain with NON-VIOLENT means.
Pepper Spray is heavily discomforting but a whole lot less physically damaging than a baton across the head or a rubber bullet to the chest.
You may disagree, but I can't really fault the cops on this one.
I am on the side of the police completely regarding this. They asked to be sprayed in spades! Got what they deserved.

It's a trap to make the police and authorities look bad in the eye of the public, thanks to the media who deliberately don't report the whole story.
