  1. Like I've always said,

  2. Is this "photo-journalist" Andrew Pochter? Dr. Andrew Bostom directs his twitter followers:

MEanwhile, the Jerusalem Post depicts him as a Jewish Student
"Pochter had travelled to Alexandria for the summer to teach English to 7- and 8-year-old Egyptian children and to improve his Arabic."..."A statement from Kenyon College said Pochter was interning in Alexandria with AMIDEAST, an American non-profit organization that runs education and development programs in the Middle East and North America."

  5. Christine,

Yes you're right. I saw Victor's name in the first news posting (paragraph 5, I think) at weaselzippers. Should have scrolled down and read the update.

Andrew Pochter is the guy who was stabbed to death in Egypt, according to the latest update on the website.

  6. Christine,

Of all of the countries in the ME, this is the one I feel sad about.

  7. I don't know. It could be because up till recently it seemed like the more modern and free country.

It's hard for me to explain. It just always felt different than most of the rest of the ME. Until now.
