Not possible. A reformation requires turning away from the corruptions of the institutions and reaffirming scriptural authority. In a Christian culture reformation produces a Mother Theresa. In Islam it produces ISIS.
Yes, of course. Unfortunately there are many who believe Islam is just one reformation away from membership in the civilized world. Untrue. Islam cannot be reformed in any manner other than as you describe. It is why Hirsi Ali is wrong, why Sadat was murdered, and why Al-Sisi will ultimately fail. You cannot build on a foundation of Islam. Islam can only be repudiated. It cannot be appeased or improved.
