Traveling all day yesterday .. so this is my first chance to be a pain in the ass
The Pope is a head of state also.
A LOUSY ONE
He can complain about capitalism all he wants.
He can even take the latin position on migration (there is no such thing as ILLEGAL immigration)
But
he can NEVER, EVER either as head of state or as head of Catholicism
take any position in which he sticks his nose into the American election
process.
We did this in Israel and is STANK then.
It seems that people who THINK of themselves as progressive and therefore GOOD think this makes them more equal than others.
The
Pope, Obama, all the rest who think their OPINIONS give them the right
and the good to comment on what others do need to consider one thing.
Humans are not just weak they are terribly weak.
And the the Pope, like Obama and all the rest of us are the the same.
He
is mortal, weak, and in this case besides being incorrect, has NO IDEA
what the unintended consequences of his, not just ill considered but
SELFISH and truly stupid comment will bring about.
He can’t.
HE’S HUMAN
BUTT OUT, FRANCIS
Mind the Vatican as head of state, and limit yourself to tending YOUR OWN FLOCK’S PERSONAL FAITH. Plenty of issues there.
You strayed off the razor’s edge, Francis, and there is NO DOUBT ABOUT IT
Is Pope Francis a Communist?
ReplyDeleteI don't know but I have always felt that UTOPIAN communism is the ultimate in christian values.
ReplyDeleteOf course anything short of that ressult in mass murder of unlimited dimension
I think he cannot distinguish
Epa just diagnosed the disease of Christianity.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree with your assessment, Epa.
Pasto are you saying Christianity is a disease or that is the disease WITHIN Christianity?
ReplyDelete(I think the latter)
Marxist President.
ReplyDeleteMarxist Pope.
How the hell did we get here?
WC,
ReplyDeleteVia Zinnism embedded in the education system, K through graduate school.
Epa,
ReplyDeleteI don't know but I have always felt that UTOPIAN communism is the ultimate in christian values.
Therefore, the necessity of the separation of church and state.
It's a disease within Christianity. It's based on the book of Acts I believe.
ReplyDeleteAccording to this:
ReplyDeleteFrancis embraces liberation theology, which Shapiro calls "essentially a mashup of Christianity and Marxist redistributionism -- a theology in which capitalists must be blamed for the world's ills and then forced to absorb all of its problems."
As a cradle Catholic now largely estranged from the faith of my birth I am appalled that the College of Cardinals could elevate so callow an individual to the Papacy. But look a the long history of the The Church and you can find worse and much worse.
ReplyDeleteI think the problem is that The Church is a hopelessly Mediaeval institution. This is a huge benefit in the area of worship, contemplation, devotion, and the timeless cultivation of the awe of the almighty. But it is a severe disadvantage in relationships with the rest of the world.
