Oh boy:
Russia's ambassador to Turkey has been seriously wounded in an 'assassination attempt' that has left at least three others with injuries.
Ambassador Andrei Karlov was reportedly in a critical condition in hospital after was shot as he delivered a speech at an art gallery in the Turkish capital of Ankara.
The gunman allegedly entered the gallery with police identification.
The attacker fired a shot into the air as the ambassador spoke and then shot him at least once in a suspected radical Islamic attack, the Hurriyet newspaper reported.
Obama had better get to work on a strongly-worded letter, because I don't imagine Putin is going to take this lying down.
The fact that the gunman fired a kind of warning shot before shooting the Ambassador may indicate this was not a professional assassination.
In fact, I think it would certainly indicate that.
That may mitigate Putin's response.
HOWEVER, Putin is a leader who recognizes he can not allow himself to look weak.
Hmm.

It occurs to me to congratulate the Salafists (ISIS) for their excellent timing.
What they are accomplishing by stirring up the demon's nest that is Putin's soul is, driving a wedge between Russia and the United States before Putin even takes office.
Heh.
I don't think they're going to get the response they hope for.
Unless they hope that Trump will allow Putin to bomb them into oblivion.
I'm starting to gain an affection for Turkish Performance Art.
