All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.
Almost 50 years after its release, this album is finally starting to sound "normal." I heard it for the first time about 25 years ago and I just didn't get it. I'd play it now and again every couple of years or so and every time it still sounded alien. It came up on my YouTube suggestions a couple of months ago and for the first time, it made sense. Here's a live performance just before the album release: https://youtu.be/donR1Oz0lYw
One of the greatest albums of all time.
ReplyDeleteI always liked Big Fun (same era) a lot myself, but Bitches Brew is the tense, difficult classic.
From that era I lean toward Jack Johnson and On The Corner :)
ReplyDeleteI like the Punk Funk better than the Space Voodoo stuff too.
