    I always liked Big Fun (same era) a lot myself, but Bitches Brew is the tense, difficult classic.

  4. Almost 50 years after its release, this album is finally starting to sound "normal." I heard it for the first time about 25 years ago and I just didn't get it. I'd play it now and again every couple of years or so and every time it still sounded alien. It came up on my YouTube suggestions a couple of months ago and for the first time, it made sense.
