  1. That picket fence rail Van Jones is fixed upon must feel real comfortable for that charlatan.
Media luvs them some Van Jones, but is he currently employed?

    Consider also:
Second article yesterday involving Newt caught my attention. First one was co-written with Van Jones. Now this: http://www.thedailybeast.com/cheats/2017/02/28/newt-gingrich-independent-investigator-needed-for-trump-russia-probe.html?via=mobile&source=copyurl

There's not a more apropos caricature of the 'white robed' section of Trumps audience last night - than the image above.

  3. After Trump's speech last night, I watched a few moments of CNN.

As time wore on, within 1/2 hour, the comments got more negative -- even after the declaration by Van Jones. I felt as if they just could not break out of their chains of hatred for Trump.

This morning, those on the panel of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," the talking heads look deflated.

  5. AOW,
I miss out on all the CNN/MSNBC bullshit, cuz I don't have cable.

That fact probably adds years to my life.

  6. The Democrats were particularly unhappy at this point during the speech:

Others gasped in audible disbelief when he announced the formation of a government department to assist victims of illegal-immigrant criminals.

Why was that statement from Trump particularly objectionable?

Since when has helping the victims of crimes become objectionable?

  7. Errr... "Tonight he became President of the United States." ???? Didn't we elect him in November and he entered the Oval Office in January?

Van Jones should perhaps modify his statement a bit.

But yes, I saw the greater than ninety second standing ovation for the widow of the Navy Seal and it was an unbelievable testament to our overall American respect for our Armed Services. Those of us who have served are not conscripts. We keep an oath.
