All of us, every single man, woman, and child on the face of the Earth were born with the same unalienable rights; to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And, if the governments of the world can't get that through their thick skulls, then, regime change will be necessary.
Kiryas Joel enclave will become America's first Haredi town It may be good news for the citizens of Monroe whose economy was damaged by the Satmar clan's socialism, though it's still not good news in the long term. The Jerusalem Post reports: ===>"In a referendum in the Upstate New York town of Monroe on Tuesday, a majority of the residents voted to separate from the village of Kiryas Joel. This means that the Yiddish- speaking village, founded in the 1970s, will become a separate town in 2020, the first Haredi town in the United States. The majority of Kiryas Joel’s residents are Hassidic Jews who belong to the Satmar Hassidic sect. The town will be called Palm Tree, an English translation of the Satmar rebbe’s surname, Teitelbaum.
The referendum was imposed on Kiryas Joel as a compromise designed to end the land dispute between the Haredi community and the town of Monroe.
Tensions between the Hassidic community and its neighbors also arose over the former’s demand to run an autonomous educational system.
The Satmar Hassidim, however, view the referendum as an opportunity, and the village leaders praised its results."<=== An opportunity for what? Building a big socialist enclave? The really bad part is that Muslims in Dearborn, Michigan, could see this as an opportunity to get an enclave of their own, and that's why, bad as it is that the Satmar caused so much trouble for Monroe, it could be worse if this leads to other religious cults and sects demanding their own enclaves where they could enforce sharia and promote socialism. There's more news here. Certainly it was offensive how the Satmar caused problems for Monroe. But there's no chance they'll cease being a nuisance now that they're a separate township. ****** I've been to this area in recent years. It upset me to no end to see a modern brick firehouse and local street signs in Hebrew. I couldn't wait to get the hell out of that area. I'm Jewish...albeit not devout by any means. I traveled to that area to acquire an appropriate gift for a more devout couple getting married. I regret going there and giving them any business. To feel like a foreigner - an unwelcome foreigner in your own country is unforgivable. It's no secret that many in that community rely on welfare and multiply like rabbits...hence the land encroachment disputes. I couldn't help but see the parallels to descriptions of Islamic enclaves like Dearborn MI. This should NEVER be permitted.
