Man who put abortion-inducing drug in girlfriend's drink sentenced to 22 years in prison for attempted murder of an unborn child

Denying a Woman's Right To Child Sacrifice

From the USA Today Network:
APPLETON - A man who was accused of putting an abortion-inducing drug in his girlfriend's drink was sentenced Tuesday to 22 years in prison.
Manishkumar Patel, 45, was convicted in August of attempted first-degree intentional homicide of an unborn child.
His girlfriend didn't ingest the drink, but miscarried weeks later. Outagamie County Judge John Des Jardins also sentenced Patel to four years of extended supervision.
This story makes no sense. It clearly says, he gave the drink to his girlfriend, BUT SHE DID NOT INGEST IT. So, he was convicted of ATTEMPTED first-degree murder, and sentenced to 22 years in prison.

Why?

People who actually succeed at committing first-degree murder don't get that kind of sentence.

This leads me to the conclusion that he is being sentenced this way, not for attempted murder, but for taking away her right to practicing her Gaia religion, which stipulates she perform rituals of child sacrifice when the gods require her to do so.

  1. The suspicion, I believe, is that he administered the drug before getting caught and caused the miscarriage. The State cannot prove that because the unborn child cannot be recovered for testing. He has a pretty dark heart ans that is why he received the long sentence. They have reason to suspect he successfully induced two abortions without the mother's knowledge or consent.

  2. So, you think my analysis is inaccurate?

  3. My analysis could be inaccurate, but from what I see, hardened criminals get less time for outright murder, so it makes it a little hard to understand this sentence.
