Comey: “Reasonable,” “Totally Normal Step” To Plant Undercover Sources In Political Campaign

Anderson Cooper asks Comey, "Did you sign off" on spying on Papadopolous. Comey replies that he doesn't recall. He then adds that he was aware that they were going to "check it out".

When he says, "Check it out," He means check out Papadopolous.

So how is it he remembered they were going to "check out" Papadopolous, but he doesn't remember if he signed the FISA warrant, or even gave authorization to do the checking out?

 Because he is lying.
