James Comey seems to be getting more frantic:
Former FBI director James Comey said Thursday that he thinks President Trump likely has committed crimes that could be cause for indictment once he leaves office and, were he not president, likely would already have been indicted.
In a CNN town-hall-style meeting, Mr. Comey was asked by host Anderson Cooper whether Mr. Trump acted with corrupt intent to interfere with an ongoing investigation.
“It sure looks that way,” Mr. Comey replied, saying he based that judgment on his reading of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report and leaning most heavily on Mr. Trump’s order to White House Counsel Don McGahn to fire Mr. Mueller.
When Mr. Cooper asked the former FBI chief whether he agreed with an open letter from numerous federal prosecutors that Mr. Trump would already have been indicted on obstruction of justice charges if were not the president, Mr. Comey was emphatic.
“Yes. agree. No doubt,” he told Mr. Cooper.LOL
AND THEN THERE'S THIS:
Gregg Jarrett: Comey Knows He’s Going Down on the Canvas For a 10 Count – He’s in Deep, Serious, Legal Jeopardy
Gregg Jarrett: There is documentary evidence now that proves conclusively that James Comey was lying to a FISA Court and of course tonight on CNN when you played the clip he said that he went by the book. That’s also a lie to the American public. You know, James Comey is now swinging these wild haymakers because he knows that very soon he’s going down on the canvas for a ten count. He is in deep serious, legal, jeopardy for a number of things. Lying to a FISA Court, leaking government documents that he stole, starting an investigation without credible evidence, spying on the Trump campaign and making false statements to Congress. I hope he saved all of the money he made from that phony book of his, talking about liars and lying people because he’s going to need the money for his defense team.
Comey is going to be one of the fall guys, IMO.
