From Sharyl Attkisson:
Sharyl Attkisson: Why do we not take these measures each year for flu to prevent all of those deaths? CDC: This is a novel virus and there is much more to learn about transmissibility, severity, and other features associated with COVID-19. Unlike influenza, there is no vaccine to protect against COVID-19 and no medications approved to treat it. And there’s essentially no immunity against this virus in the population because it’s a new virus. Mortality for COIVD-19 also appears higher than for influenza, especially seasonal flu – so it’s important that everyone do their part to help respond to this emerging public health threat.
No Vaccine?!?
AYFKM?
The only time I ever took a flu vaccine, I got the fucking flu.
NEVER take a fucking flu Vaccination. It's a fucking shot in the dark. Every year they create one, and every year they miss; the flu they created it for is not the flu that gets us.
They have an invariant record of losing.
These people don't fucking know what they're talking about.
With all of that in mind, here are the numbers as of Sunday, March 22:
US Deaths
- Coronavirus: 417*
- Flu Season 2019-2020: 23,000**
U.S. Deaths Among Children
- Coronavirus: 0
- Flu Season 2019-2020: 149*
U.S. Cases of Illness
- Coronavirus: 33,276* Officially confirmed cases -no one knows how many total cases there are when including those not diagnosed
- Flu Season 2019-2020: 38,000,000**
Global Deaths
- Coronavirus: 15,436*
- Flu Season 2019-2020: 290,000-650,000**
And I've been saying this... the flu has so far killed more people this year than Covid-19 has infected.
ReplyDeleteThe only time I ever took a flu vaccine, I got the fucking flu.
ReplyDeleteIn my case, the only time I didn't get the flu vaccine (1972), I got the flu.
Really? You're experience is the opposite of most people I know.
ReplyDeleteMR, good point. Important point.
ReplyDeletePasto,
ReplyDeleteYes, true in my case. I was 20 years old and confined to bed 24/7 for two weeks. After those 2 weeks, I was allowed to be up for a few hours a day. No trip anywhere except to the doctor.
I've been getting flu shots for over 50 years -- early on because my mother, in her early 40s, had permanent and debilitating heart damage from the flu, so all of us around her had to get the shot.
I never get sick from the shot, but my arm gets sore as hell.
The above said, I will never again get a live vaccine. Three different doctors' orders: primary care, neurologist, urologist! After how I reacted to the chickenpox vaccine, which I got in 2015, I will never again get a live vaccine.
ReplyDeletePS: Beware of the shingles vaccine!
Thanks for letting me know.
ReplyDeleteI handle everything holistically.
I am a Californian, you know.
LOL
HRW here....I refuse the flu vaccine and never get the flu. The first and only flu vaccine I received over 30 years ago, I ended up with a 6 month long upper respiratory ordeal. - Dealing with that while raising 3 kids was an experience I never want to deal with again. I've not had any similar or related flu like issue since. Thank God.
ReplyDeleteFor me, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" rule works.
For my spouse - the opposite...gets the flu vaccine every year - but also has allergy related asthma, so it works for him.
Hope all at Ibloga stay healthy and well supplied for the duration.
As HRW rightly points out, individuals have different immune systems.
