On Today's Events

Leaving the right or wrong debate of this aside...

WHY is anyone surprised by today's events?

We have spent the last four years being called Trumptards and morons. Get in their faces make sure they know they are no longer welcome anywhere. Been chased from restaurants and theaters, had to worry about being attacked for wearing a political hat or even an American flag.

Betrayed by our own leaders let down again and again.

Watched as our cities burned and businesses were destroyed and not a hand was lifted to stop it.

Stood by as they tried again and again and again to paint us as racists.

Watched for four years as they tried, all that time, to overturn a legal election.

For all the insults that were endured, how much longer did they think they could push us? How much longer did they think we would be ignored?

Well they're not able to ignore us now.

It's not like we were running around lighting fires.

Right or wrong no one should have been surprised by this.

And rightly or wrongly I don't think this will be the end of it.

  1. By the way, you forgot "basket of Deplorables" and 'Bitter Clingers."

But i guess you were only talking about the last four years.

The Pension-Swilling Union Orcs felt no compunction about opening fire on Conservatives, though they never said shit while BLM and Antifa ransacked the nation.

  3. BLM and antifa can kill and burn and they do nothing we simply stand up and demand to be heard and they kill one of our children!
    This cannot stand!

Maybe we should change our name to the Deplorable Blogger's Alliance.

  5. Well that was an entertaining afternoon.

I really enjoyed the fear in the voices of the Politicians and Media when they realized their institutionalized protective barrier between themselves and the people had been breached. That the day had arrived that they just might have to face the people face to face without an armed security detail.

.... but, it was short lived ..... these Patriots were the unarmed, non-violent, I gotta be back to work on Monday kind, and had no intentions of causing any physical harm to them. They're all on their way back home where they can hunker down, go back to work, and pretend that the next election will somehow be fairer than this one was. Dragging that deeply instilled faith in the electoral process out for at least one more cycle.

The entire political class, on both sides of the aisle, will disavow any culpability in the events that led to a small slice of the deplorable citizenry taking an unauthorized tour of their sacred offices.

But maybe a seed was planted today. Perhaps some more up close personal time with the politicians when they least expect it will make them realize that there's millions of pissed off people out here who know where they work, and live. And perhaps it would behoove them not to keep 1/2 the people very angry at them all the time.

...... but probably not. A slow arriving thin blue line easily pushed these angry citizens back into their designated places without much effort. Business as usual quickly resumed in the hallowed halls of a corrupt democracy. Isolation from the people has been quickly restored and I'm sure will be reinforced going forward.

It was slightly better than doing nothing I guess. It did establish the fact that large numbers can breech a small security force that's unprepared to open fire into the crowd. Non-violence can occupy a building for about an hour. At least until better armed and protected reinforcements arrive. Real change will require something a little more .....
