• Four-year-old Cash Gernon was found stabbed to death on a street in southwest Dallas on Saturday morning 
• Darriynn Brown, 18, was arrested and charged with kidnapping and theft

• Police said the child suffered a violent death from an 'edged weapon'
• Cash was identified by a woman claiming to be his mother, who said Brown broke into her home early Saturday and snatched the child while he was sleeping
• The woman, who was not named, claimed her son was unknown to Brown and said she had no idea what led the man to target him
