What The Hell Is This?

I shoudn't be admitting this, but I'm the kind of obsessive blogger who checks out my traffic meter to see where our links are coming from. I find out about a lot of interesting blogs this way, but I also find some strange and frightening things.

This is not the first time that I have come across a blog like this one, which appears to be written in some kind of code. Here's an excerpt:

Spa side control. Late season cruises from mid-October to Warrant Officer 3 Michael L. Hartwick, spa side control have to work with the United States. A Pitney greatest hits collection. Does anyone have any idea of what the hell this is?

  4. The idea is...if he got there, and those can be interested in this blog (because probably they are checking the IP's of people visiting and last adrress from where they came), they will have the log files. Depending on their interests. I dont know yet the exact meaning of the messages, but I try to make it logic.
Maybe I am a little to hurry in my opinion.

  6. I can't figure out what Anonymous is saying. I want to make it clear that I do not think I am "under surveillance."

I agree with you, Eyes. This look like a code of some sort. But, I am no good with codes.

I found this blog because someone came to our blog from that blog.

  7. It looks to me like random collections of phrazes from an aggregator. I get tons of stuff in Spanish when I check on referals. I wirte very occasionally in Spanish, and not enough to warrant the number of Spanish language blogs I connect with. It seems to me like old line-crossing that one got with telephones in the Stone Age when I was young.

None of us ae likely at risk from anyone for what we post. We are few out of millions of bloggers. It's nice to assume we're highly important but the truth is very few people will ever know of our activities. I try, believe me, to make our work more popular, but when the police did check on my blog they soon gave it up as too boring to bother with. They have serious problems to deal with. I'm not one of them.

And the Muslims are so stupid and disorganised they can't manage to blow up in the right place at the right time, which we all know and love having seen or at least read about in the form of "work accidents."

I go to the Vancouver Public Library every Thursday evening from 7-9:00 pm to say out loud that Allah is a pig and that Mohammed is a child molestor. We all came down with the flu this past few days and missed what would have been our 16th consecutive meeting. Not to worry. We'll be there at the VPL Tursday from 7-9 pm next week. We'll say "Allah, the Mulsim idea of God, is a pig, and Mohammed is a child molestor." Easy for me to write, isn't it, given that no Mulsims know what I look like. OK, Muslim arseholes, I'll make it easy to spot me: I'll be sitting in the atrium wearing a blue scarf around my neck and a baseball cap with an Israeli flag on the crown just like every other time I've been there at that time that no one can say I've been attacked for.

Israeli Flag! How can they miss it? Allah is a Pig!

Come on, folks, Muslims are so fucking stupid they can't even blow themselves up properly half the time. They have to hide behind children just to get shot off at soldiers who don't shoot back.

Allah is a Pig! Israeli Flag! Thursday. VPL!

Good grief, you ust can't get killed unless you ride the tube somewhere and mind your own business.

  13. Nice reply.
But there is only one guy posting...So..I think is a letter, or sort of...

    ReplyDelete
  14. It is a Zionist conspiricy theory.

    ReplyDelete
  15. To me looks like a letter from a soldier, somewhere far away.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Or to a soldier..Anyway...I stoped with that.

    ReplyDelete
  17. No doubt, it is conspiracy.

Better all stay anonymous before they come and get us, unless as Dag says wisely, we are not that important.
    ;-)

  18. Guys, I never said I thought this blog had anything to do with us.

I just want to know what the hell it is.

Yeah, it's probably some Zionist conspiracy, you're right.

  19. Pastorius, also Stalin killed milions..And he didnt have nothing with those people..He was killing the opinion, he didnt care about people.
    p.s.

  21. I hope anonymous figures this all out tomorrow morning.

  22. Well, I could be wrong, but it seems a person who is writing nonsense under the guise of being "creative". (There's actually a fair amount of this on the 'net). Perhaps he thinks he is being "cool", and doing some great creative writing?

If you go to Technorati, and type a blog's url in the "Search' window, it will tell you who links to it. FWIW, no one links to this blog:
    http://www.technorati.com/search/helmsman-spar.blogspot.com%2F

"Who links to me" usually picks up lots and lots of links...there are none for that blog.

[For comparison, here is the technorati search for blogs that link to IBA:
    http://www.technorati.com/search/ibloga.blogspot.com%2F]

  23. It is a mystery, as he wants it to be. Since, there is always an explanation for everything, it is either someone bored who tries to be interesting, or a big bad conspiracy or aliens from other dimensions.

I love my site meter too, I am happily addicted too it checking it regularly. It is indispensable to understand one's audience of lack of.

There are sometimes strange visitors showing up in the site meters however. Some people are looking for creepy stuff.
Others, I wonder about them, like those who have access when the site seems banned from the ordinary people in their country?
A friend of ours can't access our modest sites from somewhere in ME, yet, a few others can. Why?

  24. It a random number generator attached to a piece or set of literature. It yanks out words and or phrases in order to defeat the logic of spam filters. When I look at our servers filtered crap I see this all the time, and som eof it still gets through becasue they now have software which inserts characters that defeat the good filters.

I get a lot of Shakespeare.

  25. Pastorius, when you found the link through sitemeter, was it only 1 redirection from that site, or did it seem like a lot of people were being directed from there to here.

If it is only 1 person who found our site through theirs, then it's nothing to worry about.

Basically, when you make a post, the ibloga is lined up as the "next blog". If you look at the top of the blog (ours or his), you'll see the next blog button.

So when i or you make a post, a few random blogspot blogs will forward to ours through their next blog link.

Try it, make a post, then click site meter a few minutes later and you will see random blogs linking tu us, but only usually with 1 hit.

    it's nothing to worry about

p.s, im glad someone is sifting through the sitemeter as I keep forgetting

  26. Epa,
What is the point of such a thing?

That's what I want to know.

    ReplyDelete
  27. J,
There was only one hit from this blog. I don't think it has anything to do with us.

I just want to know why such a thing exists.

    ReplyDelete
  28. it looks like he's just listed off random crap to encourage hits to his blog, for what purpose i dont know.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Yeah, see, that's what I thought (wanted to generate random hits), but what a waste. It doesn't make any sense.
