After some stupid foot-dragging by Olmert's, he and his cabinet have finally approved of an army ground strike deeper into Lebanon, hopefully farther than the Litani river.
But like I said, the foot-dragging was uncalled for, ditto all this nonsense about a multi-national "peace-keeping" force, which most likely wouldn't have done anything. And also, as Captain's Journal points out, the Hezbollah's buildup came during the time that Ariel Sharon was prime minister, another clue to show that he was not the "hero" that some seem to want to think he was. See this earlier entry to understand more clearly why he isn't.
And, as Captain's Journal also sums up perfectly, war is no time for politics, and most definitely not attempts to broker "cease-fire" agreements, which only end up being broken by the Islamofascists who started the gun and rocket firing in the first place later on. It only costs more lives, and leads to yet more attacks that could've been stopped more easily by simply mowing down and punishing the enemy as they deserve to be.

A monster whom the Hezbollah's been trying unsuccessfully to get back for more than two decades already.
