Any Word on Talovic's Motive Yet, Mayor Anderson?

Well, well. Look what I found archived over at the Salt Lake City Tribune site at http://www.sltrib.com/news/ci_5073946 . Forgive me for entertaining just the faintest doubts about Mayor Rocky's objectivity when confronting the possibility of a Muslim teenager having gone on an SJS rampage in his fair city.

]Utahns to join in war protest

]While hundreds of thousands - including Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson - gather in Washington on Saturday to protest President Bush's plan to send more troops to Iraq, thousands more will gather across the nation to do the same, including in Utah's capital.

]We the People for Peace and Justice, the group that orchestrated the anti-war rally last August when President Bush was in Utah, is organizing a "stop funding the war, bring the troops home now" event at the Main Library's auditorium at 2 p.m.

]Scheduled speakers include writer Terry Tempest Williams; Kim Spangrude of Military Families Speak Out; Rick Miller of Veterans for Peace; Iraqi war veterans Larry Cannon and Marshall Thompson; Theresa Martinez, a University of Utah professor; Dee Rowland, a government liaison for the Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City; Kyle Wulle, an officer of the Steelworkers Union; and Anwar Arafat, president of the U.'s Muslim Student Association.

  1. Already the msm is deflecting the motive to Columbine or Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome. It's their MO. Just like with the 2001 event where a Baltic immigrant slashed the throat of the bus driver - http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2001/10/06/world/main313824.shtml

The authorities and msm will punt this out of the islamic field so long as we insist on playing it on blogs . . .

"Public information officers or spokesman for law enforcement agencies are purposely downplaying and in some cases lying outright to the public about arrests of Muslims in the US," so said one Federal law enforcement official.

  2. Here is a report of an early (Sept 2004) incident of SJS from before the syndrome was given a name. I wonder how many more unrecognised SJS attacks there have been in the history of Muslim immigration into the West:

"Woman stabbed to death by man seen reading the Qur'an.

A WOMAN was killed and another is fighting for her life after a knifeman went berserk in broad daylight in a Greater Manchester street.

It is believed the woman killed was attacked first by the man, who was carrying what appeared to be a kitchen knife with a six-inch blade and had been seen reading from the Koran....

Says the police spokesman: "This appears to be a very unusual and untypical incident."

  3. But becoming less unusual and untypical all the time. Another golden opportunity for the "moderate" Muslims to express outrage at the behavior of their fundamentalist brethren. Some posts I have seen claim the Bosnian Muslim refugees tend to reject the fundamentalists and jihadists and have had Saudi imams removed from their mosques. If evidence is uncovered that these murders were Islam-related, this will be another chance for them to prove their loyalty to the nation that saved their skins.

But just to be on the safe side, I am not holding my breath.

  4. At first I was furious at another cover-up by the media of the nationality and religion of the perp in this case. But it occurred to me that by making it a "crime" by a "nut", they are effectively neutralizing the Muslim goal of terrorizing the public.

As a result, Americans are not terrorized by these people. Surely each and every one would like his martyrdom to be noted. But they are not getting that satisfaction. It cannot make much difference to these animals that a few infidels are murdered...but it probably pisses them off that they are not getting any propaganda mileage out of the acts.

Americans are hardly noticing...and going calmly about their business, as usual.

The ROPers LIKE it when they get headlines, and when a culture lives in fear of them, gets anxious and nervous and edgy and paranoid and defensive. It's what their strategy is all about. Their threats of riots, mayhem and murder in Europe is what has the leaders there trembling into appeasement. Maybe, in spite of itself, the Mainstream Media is undermining the Islamists by trying to protect them.

There's a certain symmetry about the thought that pleases me.

Yo, Religion of Pieces...nice to see you!

  5. Update: Mayor of Salt Lake City orders media blackout on all information on religious angle of shooter's motive.

  6. Given Mayor Rocky's leanings, I will not be the least surprised if that's true.

I hate to say this, but in the current state of affairs the public needs all the "terrorizing" it can get. They are all asleep, the house is on fire, and the smoke detectors need to go off real soon.

  7. ROP,
I just want to let you know that I have been delisted from this blog and am no longer able to post here.

But, I appreciate everything you send, and I will begin posting it elsewhere TOMORROW.

  8. The New York Times reports "Anti-Bosnian Backlash Feared in Utah" http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A9htfMDaatRFU8kAeDLQtDMD;_ylu=X3oDMTBjMHZkMjZyBHBvcwMxBHNlYwNzcg--/SIG=124stc9dn/EXP=1171635290/**http%3a//www.nytimes.com/2007/02/15/us/15mall.html

You want to really know what kind of backlash is actually happening?

Try envelope of condolence cash (or is it ‘martyrs reward’) stuffed in door. . .

    http://sheikyermami.com/2007/02/15/here-comes-the-backlash-that-dreaded-backlash/

Then consider the muslim lobby attempting to revisit the second amendment -

    http://www.ispu.us/pages/articles/2914/articleDetailPB.html

ISPU, now what would that stand for? The groups identity was the tip off. . . “Institute for Social Policy and Understanding”

How many groups need ‘understanding‘ when dealing with ’social policy’? And which social policy makers list their contributors as ‘scholars‘?

Their statement ends with the following:
“So long as guns remain available to the general public, there will always be the threat of terrorists walking into a crowded restaurant, a busy coffee shop or a packed movie theater and opening fire upon unsuspecting civilians.
The Second Amendment is not worth such risks.”

Turning all logic on its head and the msm will buy it all . . .hook line and sinker.

Buying, whose buying?? . . . our once prestigious universities like Harvard and Georgetown sold out. . to the tune of 40M from the Sauds who purchased . .
biggest curriculum overhaul at Harvard in 30 years
