Move Right Along: No Islamic Terrorism Here

Nanc, who has also posted on this matter related to the recent mall shootings in Salt Lake City, has brought the following letter from Dave Gaubatz to my attention....

  1. Boy oh boy, where does one begin?

Early on, CNN was also covering this. Follow this comment posted at JW:

Yesterday, February 13, I’d been watching the news all morning as I always do and, just before a station break on CNN, they flashed one of those very brief (five second) news previews to keep viewers interested enough not to change the channel.

In the news preview, a man, an eyewitness to the Utah shopping mall shootings, was being interviewed at the mall who said very excitedly, "...he had a shotgun in one hand and a Koran in the other..."

Needless to say, I stayed tuned through the station break and waited for the news to return to hear the rest of this man's story. But when the news returned, it took a while to get back to that item. CNN played several other unrelated news clips first. When they did get back to the Utah mall shooting, they played a different portion of the same interview. This time, the man being interviewed was no longer excited and said nothing about a Koran, nor anything about a shotgun either.

This is interesting. Could it be that someone at CNN decided to quickly squash the item and cut the Koran part?

    Recall Atlas' piece last week:
    http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/ 2007/02/preparing_for_w.html
"Public information officers or spokesman for law enforcement agencies are purposely downplaying and in some cases lying outright to the public about arrests of Muslims in the US," so said one Federal law enforcement official.

and then this at LGF last evening:

    Talovic's record leaked:
    http://www.sltrib.com/ci_5234935
At age 12, Talovic was before a judge for allegedly holding a knife over the head of girl while stating, “I’ll kill you,” according to a source who is familiar with the case.

Two years earlier, Talovic was referred to juvenile court for throwing rocks at a little girl.

About the same time, he threatened his parents’ landlord with a knife. ...

The first girl was not struck by the stones. And the mother of the second girl snatched her up in the nick of time, just as Talovic took a swipe with the blade, according to the source, who has seen court documents relating to the case. ...

Talovic was also referred to court for stealing fireworks from a Smith’s grocery store on June 22, 2001.

On July 9, 2001, Talovic admitted the shoplifting crime, and it was the last time he appeared in juvenile court, according to the source, quoting court records.

But, according to his family, he was a good boy, a quiet boy. Yeah, a good boy who was a repeat offender and whose record was expunged when he turned 18.

On that LGF thread, Savage_Nation made the following comment (and later confirmed that the officer he spoke to was the off duty officer that took out Sulejman Talovic:
Most SLC residents are in complete denial.Let me share some thoughts with you if I may. I just left Salt Lake City a couple hours ago with a load to Menominie WI. I took yesterday and today off cause of time restraints so I spent it at the Flying J at the 201 and I15, about 2 miles from downtown. Most of the peeps in there are regulars and local people. I asked some people what they thought of the massacre and every damn one of them said he was just a poor misunderstood lad from Billy Boys war.

Interesting though, the SLC Police and State Patrol hang out there too and I asked one of them what they thought and the trooper said that off the record they all know it was a personal jihad but they cant talk about it on the record because they are all under orders of silence from the top brass at HQ. later posted
Oh SHIT! That cop I talked to at the 'J' is Brett Olsen. I swear to God!
No wonder he didn't say a thing to me about it. Damn!

    1380 A.D. - 1908
A.D. (500+ years) the Bulgars and Slavs were under what they call
"Tyrskoto Robstvo"...The Turkish Yoke (Ottoman Empire).

During that time Christian Churches were turned into execution
    chambers.
Just visit a small village, Batak. In Batak more than 2000 Christians
were forced into a church by the muslims and locked in it. You can
    still
see the 2 foot high blood ring on the church walls. People dug 4 feet
with nothing but BARE HANDS, and various items that could be found in
the church, through solid stone and rock trying to reach water.
Cannibalism ensued and the skeletons are still there. The church there
    is now a museum/memorial.

The muslims did their best to force the bulgar/slavs to convert to
    Islam
by holding knives under the chins of the people. So if they didn't deny
the Christian belief the knife would then be shoved up into the head.
The Christians adapted accordingly and the practice still stands today,
that in order to survive, they would move their head from left to right
and not up and down to say 'yes'. So when the knife was under there
    chin
and they were asked, "Are you a christian?" They would turn the head
left and right. The muslims felt it meant no, yet the christians knew
    it
was 'yes'. They still nod that way. Nodding the head up and down means
'No', left to right, right to left means 'yes'. It took me a while to
    get used to it.

  7. I hope this comment makes it, those idiots at Blogger are now telling me I don't belong to any blogs.

I was reading the comments on LGF this morning and noted the one above and another that said the people in the card shop had been shot to death in the back of the head execution-style. That didn't quite seem to jibe with the report that the whole thing took only 6 minutes. Anybody heard anything further about that?
